John Botting, 59, of Memphis, retired Memphis Police officer, died Thursday at Saint Francis Hospital. Services will be at noon Monday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. He leaves two daughters, Kimberly Simmons of Memphis and Stephanie Morris of Millington; a companion with whom he lived, Joanne Pedersen, and two grandchildren. Howard Avery Busselle, 72, of Glenside, Pa., formerly of Memphis, retired electrical engineer for PECO Energy Co. in Pennsylvania, died Tuesday at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven with burial in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. He was a World War II veteran, the recipient of a bronze star, a volunteer for the Regional Medical Center at Memphis and worked with the Boy Scouts for 50 years. Mr. Green, the husband of Rose Green for 58 years, also leaves two daughters, Shirley Verble of Nashville and Sandra Clark of Monticello, Miss.; two sons, Richard Green Jr. of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Robert Green of Gallatin, Tenn.; a brother, Charles Green of Kingsport, Tenn., eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
