MORRIS, Charlotte, age 67, of Estill Springs, Tenn. passed away Monday, April 17, 2006. Mrs. Morris was a member of the Oaklawn Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was an auxiliary member of the Capitol Hill Volunteer Fire Department, President of the Capitol Hill Community Center and was the owner and operator of Morris Grocery in Capitol Hill for over 25 years. Mrs. Morris’ parents, Fred and Jean Breitbarth and daughter, Debra Roberson, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bill Morris; daughters, Cheryl (John) Page of Capitol Hill and Pamela Morris of Estill Springs; sons, Gary (Eileen) Morris of Sacramento, Calif. and Bill "Spud" (Ronda) Morris, Jr. of Greensboro, N.C.; son-in-law, Chris Roberson of Pikeville; 11 grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. ALLEN, Tommy Harvey "Bulldawg," passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at his home at the age of 53. He was born on Sept. 13, 1952 to Earlene Reed Holland (deceased). At the age of three, his aunt and uncle, William Harvey and Cora Bell Allen (both deceased) adopted him into their family. They had four other children, Robert Ghea of Tullahoma; Betty Turner of Winchester, Edna Daniels of Decherd and Virginia Fortenberry (deceased). He is survived by his three children, Bobbie Call (David) of Manchester, Deniece Allen and Willie Allen of Tullahoma and a stepson, Michael Rayburn of Great Britain (U.S. Navy). He is also survived by five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Victoria, Grace, Isabella and David Call, Jr. of Manchester and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 23 at 2 p.m. at the Christ Community Church, 716 Westside Dr., Tullahoma with Rev. Jim Zidan officiating. SNELL, Donna Marie, age 46 passed away into rest on Thursday evening, April 13, 2006 at her home in Manchester where she was lovingly cared for by her family and friends. Donna courageously battled cancer for two years before she passed to meet her heavenly Father. She was dedicated to her family, friends and students at New Union Elementary School, where she served as an Educational Assistant. She taught Sunday school (2-3 year olds), chaired the Nursery Committee and sang in the choir at Trinity Baptist Church. She was a 1978 graduate of Woodbury High School where she was active in the Beta Club, Library Club, FHA, TOEC and Reading Club. Following high school, she worked in the financial services industry. Donna enjoyed riding Tennessee Walking Horses, was a seamstress, an avid collector of antiques and was an award winning amateur photographer (International Society of Photographers). She is survived by her husband, Bruce Snell of Manchester; son, Dustin Snell of Manchester; daughter, Bridget Snell of Manchester; parents, Harold and Hazel Vinson of Woodbury; sisters, Marlene Vinson of Smyrna and Teresa Russell of Antioch; a brother, Joe Vinson of Murfreesboro; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends, neighbors and loved ones. VAN HOOSER, Jay Hunter, age 17 of Bowling Green, Ky., died Tuesday, April 18, 2006 in Bowling Green, Ky. He was born in Dalton, Ga., the son of Gary C. Van Hooser of Bowling Green, Ky. and Debbie Roddy Van Hooser of Shelbyville. He was a junior at Greenwood High School and a member of the Hillvue Heights Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert H. Van Hooser. TIPPS, Shirley L., age 70 of Clearwater, FL died Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. Born in Red Bay, AL. Mrs. Tate moved to Clearwater, FL from Nashville in 1981. She retired as the Linen Coordinator at Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Medical Center, FL, after 15 years of service. She also was a legal secretary for the U.S. Attorney’s office in Nashville and an Intelligence Analyzer for the U.S. Army in Heidelberg, Germany. She was Protestant and was a worldwide traveler. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and her dogs. Zimmerman, William "Adrian," age 80, a prized dairy farmer, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006. He was a lifetime resident of Hillendale Farm in the Farris Chapel Community. By his side was his wife of 57 years, Ruth. Adrian had been battling the cancer that took his life for seven years. Adrian served his country in the United States Navy before returning home, where he became an active member of the community, especially when lending a hand to a neighbor or giving blood. He shared his life volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America, Future Farmers of America, 4-H, and supported the development of extra-curricular activities at Franklin County High School. He was also an active member of the Tennessee Farm Bureau, Friesian Holstein Association, and the United Church of Christ. His family and friends will remember Adrian with devotion and love. Adrian's compassion, wit, humor, love, and wisdom will be with us forever. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sisters, Ethelyn Osborne, Anna Hall and Mildred Hatchett; children Kathy Collins, Richard Zimmerman, Emily Wilson and Joe Zimmerman; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
