Thomas Edward "Big Edd" Cisco
WESTPORT: Mr. Thomas Edward "Big Edd" Cisco, 71, died Thursday, September 20 at his home. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, September 23 in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Phillip Halters officiating. Interment
followed at Barr Springs cemetery.
Mr. Cisco was born April 15, 1930 in Toone to the late W. R. "Will" and Hattie White Cisco. He was a retired radio personality, musician, farmer and businessman and also an army veteran. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Cisco, and a sister, Lois Buck.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Bridges Cisco; one son, Tommy Cisco of Bloomington, Indiana; two daughters, Cindy Mason and Beverly Gordon, both of Westport; one brother, Billy Ray Cisco and one sister, Sue Hayes, both of Memphis; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mary E. Lee
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Mary E. Lee, 81, died Sunday, September 16 at Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, September 21 in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother James Humphreys, Jr. officiating. Interment
followed at Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Lee was born November 25, 1919 in Paris to the late Billy and Lillian McCloud Breeden. She was a waitress at the Silver Grill Restaurant for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lee; a son, David Hastings; two daughters, Mary Sue Payne and Barbara Payne and a sister, Lillian Sanders.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Lindsay of Chicago, Illinois; two sons, George Hastings of Hollow Rock and John Wayne Payne of Dowagiac, Michigan; one brother, Lawrence Breeden of Huntingdon; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Marie Leette Krause Bell
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Marie Leette Krause Bell, 49, died Tuesday, September 18 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, September 20 in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Fred Ward officiating. Interment
followed at Hebron cemetery.
Mrs. Bell was born January 29, 1952 in Sunny Vale, California. She was a nurse at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital and a member of Huntingdon First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Linder Azbill Krause.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Roger Bell; her father, Richard F. Krause of Bruceton; one daughter, Sherry Bell; one son, Eric Bell, both of Huntingdon; two sisters, Carol Dunn of Camden and Marjorie Hare of Martin.
Andrew Settles
MEMPHIS - Coach Andrew (Andy) Settles died at his home unexpectedly on Sunday, September 23. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 25 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Burial was in Shiloh cemetery in Covington.
Coach Settles coached football at McKenzie High School in 1951-52. He was also a coach, teacher or principal at Messick High School, E. W. Grove High School in Paris, East High School and Rhodes College (then known as Southwestern). He later sold life insurance.
He was twice president of the University of Memphis National Alumni Association; President of the M-Club; and a member of the University of Memphis Football Hall of Fame. He was active in the Methodist Youth Fellowship, taught Sunday School and served on administrative boards. At the time of his death he was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church.
Settles played football at University of Memphis (Memphis State), University of Tennessee and University of North Carolina. He was a native of East Tennessee and played prep ball at Lenoir City High. He enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 17 and served in the Pacific from 1941 through 1945.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Dobson Settles; two sons, Tony Settles of Memphis and Eddie Settles of Murfreesboro; a sister, Sally McConkey of Collierville and three grandchildren. A son, Michael Settles, preceded him in death.
Janie M. Hall
BRUCETON - Funeral services for Janie M. Hall, 70, were at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 31 at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Trezevant. Burial followed in Mt. Ararat cemetery . Mrs. Hall died Thursday, August 23, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
Survivors include two daughers, Gwen Collier of Los Angeles, California and Sandra Hutch of Perris, California; and a son, Sammy Hall of Bruceton.

HUNTINGDON - Gordon M. McArthur, 76, died Sunday, January 29, at NHC Healthcare in Milan. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, January 31, in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Morris officiating. Interment
followed in the Massey Liles cemetery.
Mrs. McArthur was born August 20, 1929, in Carroll County, to the late Ernest B. and Ruth R. Brown. She was a retired certified nursing assistant for the Carroll County General Hospital and was a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alene Miller and Marie Hodges; and three brothers, Talbert Brown, Charles Brown, and Ernest D. Brown.
She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Robinson of Huntingdon; two sons, Alan Gooch of Huntingdon; and Richard H. Gooch of Charlottesville, Virginia; three sisters, Faye Holland of Eva, Raydeane Wainscott of McKenzie, and Rebecca Hawkins of Hebron, Indiana; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Charles David Lessenberry

HUNTINGDON - Charles David Lessenberry, 45, died Sunday, January 29, at his home.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, January 31, in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bros. Johnny Boyd and Tim Coleman officiating. Interment
followed in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Mr. Lessenberry was born February 22, 1960, in Huntingdon. He worked for the Carroll County Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the County Line Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his father, John (Julia) Lessenberry and his mother, Joan Swafford, both of Huntingdon; one sister, Linda Carol DePriest of Clarksburg; one step sister, Tonya Swafford of Huntingdon; three brothers, Lyn Lessenberry of Beech Bluff, Jeff Lessenberry of Lexington, and Jonathan Lessenberry of McKenzie; and three step-brothers: Phillip Hicks, Robert Hicks, and Billy Swafford, Jr., all of Huntingdon.

Mrs. Russell was born August 3, 1931, in Jackson, to James Dalton Owens Sr. and Willie Marie Hall Owens, both deceased. She was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Paris.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, her twin at birth and Christine Patterson of Riverdale, Illinois.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Walter Verdell Russell of Springville; one son, Larry Russell of Springville; one daughter, Diane (Bob) McDowell of Springville; two sisters, Rubie LaPointe and Ann Cupples, both of Jackson; four grandchildren: Dean (Carrie) Russell of Friendship; Denise (Thames) Jackson of Nashville; Shanna Russom of Enville, and Chad (Angie) Black of Paris; four great-grandchildren, Brittney Russell of Camden, Nolan Russell and Lee Russell of Friendship, and Connor Jackson.
Pallbearers were Chad Black, Nolan Russell, Thames Jackson, Jim Owens, Jr., Joe Anderson, and Billy Taylor.

Mr. Lewis was born September 7, 1911, in Dyer, to the late John James and Lossie Berry Horner Lewis. He was a retired guard for Firestone, with 34 1/2 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Radie Lewis; two daughters, Joyce Williams and Pat Percoski, and one son, Jesse "Buck" Lewis, all of Memphis; one sister, Julia Davis of Selmer; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth Ann Dotson

GLEASON - Elizabeth Ann Dotson, 43, died Friday, January 27, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services were Monday, January 30, at Gallimore Funeral Home with the Rev. G.W. Moon officiating. Burial followed in Hopewell cemetery in Gleason.
Mrs. Dotson was born January 18, 1963, in Chicago, to the late George Strecker and Dianne Sonnenbert, who survives. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Aubrey Guy Dotson; two sons, Sean Martin of South Fulton and Tony Dotson of Atwood; one daughter, Jessica Dotson of Atwood; and two grandchildren.
Wardell Williams

McKENZIE - Wardell "Uncle Will" Williams, 55, died Sunday, January 29, at the Henry County Nursing Home. Services were incomplete at press time with Trinity Funeral Home of Paris in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Williams was born December 12, 1950, in Drew, Mississippi, to the late Eddie Lee Williams and Johnny Mae Murry. He was a factory worker before he became disabled.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Edna L. Stubblefield Williams; two sons, James Wardell Williams of Paris, Joshua Lee Williams of Tiptonville; two step-daughters, Melissa (Juan) Johnson and Michelle (Bobby) Ballard both of Kansas City, Missouri; ten grandchildren; seven brothers; seven sisters; a special friend, Vanessa Payne; a special caregiver, Rachel Cook of Oakland; Rachel and Don McDaniel of McKenzie, with whom he resided until his death; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

McKENZIE - Lera Hampton, 91, died Thursday, January 26, at Oak Manor Health Care Center in McKenzie. Funeral services were held Sunday, January 29 at Brummitt Funeral Home. Burial followed in Everetts Chapel cemetery in McKenzie.
Mrs. Hampton was born February 25, 1914 in Westport to Hulon and Eva Gooch Eubanks, both deceased. She was a factory worker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hampton.
She is survived by four daughters, Judy Reed of Kenton, Juanita Knake of Jackson, Nellie Spencer of McKenzie, and Margie Murphy of Jackson; two sons, Helon Eubanks of McKenzie and Loy Eubanks of Florida; four sisters, Lillian Beeryman of Kenton, Ruth Wallace of Maryland, Dorothy Clark of McKenzie, and Berlene Woods of Winter Haven, Florida; seven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Mr. McCollum was born June 2, 1943, in Atwood, to Willie D. McCollum and Otha Clark McCollum, both deceased. He was retired from Milan Army Ammunition Plant and a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sonya; one son, Gary; and two sisters, Delores and Cora.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn McCollum; eight children: Carlos (Leterica), Ireina, Maleka, Marshall, Kenneth, Bobby, Bernard, and Rodney; five grandchildren; six sisters, Cornelia (Robert), Anna, Gwendolyn, Marva, Agatha, and Lucy (Wayne); three brothers, Charles, Eddie (Sadie), and Lindon (Donna); and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
