Sheila Marie Hein Hixson, 36, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Monday, May 14, 2007, at her home.

Nellie Jackson
Nellie Gordon Jackson, 99, of Chattanooga, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 11, 2007.
Mrs. Jackson was born Sept. 11, 1907, to the late William and Nora Gordon in Chattanooga.
She was educated in the Chattanooga Public School System. She retired from Erlanger hospital.
She was a member of Mount Paran Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Bloodworth.
She was preceded in death by husband, John 'Rabbit' Jackson; four brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by George Anthony and Linda Evans, Lisa and Renata Evans; nieces, Constance Martin, Marva Jane (James) Smith, Nellie Ruth (Freddie) Warren, Samilla (Othello) Turner, Christy (Shakir) Rashed and Deborah Brown; nephews, Vaughn Evans and Kenneth (Jacqueline) Evans; special friends, Daisy (John) Dozier and the Hollis family; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Forest Hills cemetery with the Rev. Randy Peterson officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday in the sanctuary of Pure Holiness Church of God, 420 Holly St.

Freda Jacobs
Freda Francis Jacobs, 91, of East Ridge, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007, in a local hospital.
A native and lifelong resident of Chattanooga and North Georgia.
She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Jacobs, and brother, George William Usmiller.
Survivors include her sister, Naomi Allen of Ringgold, Ga., and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Chattanooga National cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Childress officiating.

Danny Posey
Rudy Dan 'Danny' Posey, 56, died Sunday, May 13, 2007, in Chattanooga.
He was born July 22, 1950, near Huntsville, Ala. His mother died shortly after his birth and he came to live with his aunt and uncle, Agnes and Oliver Hughes, in Chattanooga. Danny loved boating and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Minta Posey, of Hazel Green, Ala., and his adoptive parents, Oliver and Agnes Hughes.
He is survived by his brothers, Jimmy Posey, Hazel Green and Charles 'Buddy' Hughes, of Chattanooga ; sisters, Peggy Malone, Faye Patterson and Jackie Hicks, all of Hazel Green; faithful friend and care-giver, Dr. Martin Perez; and friend, Les Clark, both of Chattanooga.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Coulter Chapel with the Rev. Bert Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Doneise V. Sandridge, of Chattanooga, went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 9, 2007.

Steve Sherrill
Larrell Stephen 'Steve' Sherrill, 57, of East Ridge, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at his home.
He was of the Baptist Faith and was employed with Ace Hardware at Ooltewah. He had been employed with Chattanooga Boiler and Tank and Standard Iron. Steve was a graduate of East Ridge High School and as a hobby enjoyed repairing and restoring cars and motorcycles. He was a fan of NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis L. Sherrill.
Steve is survived by his mother, Peggy Bray, of Port Orange, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road.
Burial will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Roy Still
Roy L. Still, 79, of Hixson, a retired business executive and former commander of the Chattanooga Power Squadron, died Monday, May 14, 2007, in Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Still was born in Newton, Iowa, on Aug. 27, 1927. He lettered in three sports at Newton High School and was elected to the allstate basketball team in 1944 and 1945. After serving in the Naval ROTC at Iowa State, he attended the University of Iowa. He married
Joyce Parker on Aug. 16, 1946.
An engineer, he began his career with Maytag Corp. in Newton and subsequently managed manufacturing plants in Wisconsin, Indiana, Massachusetts and Tennessee, including Crane Corp.'s industrial valve facility in Chattanooga. He retired from Crane in 1990.
An avid golfer, Mr. Still was a former member of the Chattanooga County Club. He was also active in the Chattanooga boating community, serving as Power Squadron Commander from 1978 to 1979.
He was predeceased by a brother, Harold Still, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and a sister, Beulah Hoffman, of Lincoln, Neb.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce Parker Still; two sisters, Arlene Rundall, of Newton, Iowa, and Maxine Benson, of Cedar Rapids; and four daughters, Marcia Bledsoe, of Columbus, Ohio, Cindy Still Howard, of Norwalk, Conn., Jody McCorvie, of Hixson, and Debra Mann, of Atlanta. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Hunter Bledsoe, of Nashville, Dustin Bledsoe, of Knoxville, Matthew and Amber McCorvie, of Chattanooga, Ellen and Bradley Mann, of Atlanta, and Samuel Howard, of Norwalk.
A private memorial service will be held Wednesday in Hixson.
Interment will be in Newton, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chattanooga Power Squadron.
David Townsend
David Lee Townsend died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, in Chattanooga.
Survivors include daughter, LaTonia (Howard) Simmons; grandson, David Lee Townsend II; great-granddaughter, Da-Shuja Townsend; sister, Carolyn Zellander ; and brother, Houston (Denise) Townsend.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at McCallie Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Robert Chaney officiating.
Interment will be in Ruth Cofer cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to services at the McCallie Avenue Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Directors.
