TREZEVANT - Services for Robert Edwin "Ed" Simpson, 79, were conducted Friday, June 10, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Buddy Chandler, Bro. Malcolm Norton and Bro. Ray Ward officiated. Interment
followed in the Howse cemetery.
Mr. Simpson died Wednesday, June 8, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
He was born October 1, 1925, in Covington, to the late Edward William Simpson and Mary Hensley Simpson. He graduated from Byar's High School in Covington and was retired from commercial printing. He was a member of the McLemoresville Baptist Church and a volunteer firefighter for the Trezevant Fire Department. He was active in the Disaster Relief Program through the Tennessee Baptist Convention.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Jean Davis Simpson, whom he married
on September 21, 1985; two sons, Bill Simpson of Franklin and Kary Simpson of Lexington; and one grandson.
John Richard Branon

LEACH COMMUNITY: Services for John Richard Branon, 58, were conducted Thursday, June 9, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Hutchens officiating. Interment
followed in the Christian Chapel cemetery.
Mr. Branon died Tuesday, June 7, at his home.
He was born August 14, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Pete and Katie Phillips Branon. He was a production worker for the Henry I. Siegel Company and a member of the Leach Full Gospel Church. One sister, Judy Grandy, and three brothers, Bill Branon, Dale Branon and Jimmy Branon, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Armstrong Branon, who he married
on February 25, 1966; two daughters, Candice Dawn Smothers of Huntingdon and Yolanda Louise Eskew of Rockvale, Connecticut; one son, Frank Dewayne Branon of Huntingdon; five sisters, Jackie Hutchens and Cathy Lowe, both of Paris, and Cindy Leyva, Carol Giardino, Debbie Toarnaki, all of Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Charley Branon of Arizona; and six grandchildren.
Charles Edward Singleton

CLARKSBURG - Services for Charles Edward Singleton, 61, were conducted Thursday, June 9, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Martin Klamm officiating. Interment
followed in the New Hope cemetery.
Mr. Singleton died Monday, June 6, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
He was born March 22, 1944 in Clarksburg. He retired from the United States Navy and was a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Singleton.
Survivors include his mother, Ruthie Jane Singleton of Clarksburg; two daughters, Tabitha L. Albrecht and Libby R. Singleton, both of Jacksonville, Florida; and one granddaughter.
Anthony Lane Bailey

McKENZIE - Services for Anthony Lane Bailey, infant son of William and Christine Bailey, were conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9 at the Pafford Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Interment
followed at Pleasant Hill cemetery. He was born Wednesday, June 8.
Other survivors include his grandparents, Joe and Charlotte Moody and Jerry and Karen Evans, and great-grandparents Virginia Hayes and Christine Johnson.
Reagan Nicole Pace

followed at the Hickory Flatt cemetery.
Miss Pace died Wednesday, June 8, from injuries received in an accident.
She was born February 10, 2004 in McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Alene O'Bryan Cochran and a great-grandmother, Ann Pace.
Survivors include her mother, Stacy Cochran and father, Michael Pace, both of Cedar Grove; maternal grandparents, John and Darlene Adams of Cedar Grove, paternal grandparents, Beverly Scott of Louisiana and Gary Scott of Cedar Grove; maternal great-grandparents, Sam and Shirley O'Bryan of Cedar Grove; and paternal great-grandparents, Jessie and Lester Scott of Cedar Grove.
Daniel Thomas Green, IV

DANIA, FLORIDA - Graveside services for Daniel Thomas Green, IV, 59, were at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9, at Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie. Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Green, a crane operator, died Monday, June 6, at Memorial Hospital Pembroke in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
He was born June 3, 1946 in Memphis.
Survivors include his mother, Martha Green Carpenter of Memphis; a son, Christopher Green of Pompano Beach, Florida; two daughters, Carrie D. Worley of Cooper City, Florida and Corie Berry of Dania, Florida; four sisters, Garland Davis of Nesbitt, Mississippi, Martha Murray of Jackson, Maine, Kimberly Brown of Lynn, Massachusetts, and Meg Thomas of Memphis; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel T. Green, III and a brother, John Green.
Aaron Dudley Jr.

McKENZIE - Services for Aaron Dudley, Jr., 55, were conducted Sunday, June 12, at Greater Enon Missionary Baptist Church on Walnut Street in McKenzie with Rev. James H. Stewart officiating. Interment
followed in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Trinity Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Dudley died Thursday, June 9, at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born December 30, 1949, in McKenzie to the late Connie Horton Dudley and Aaron Dudley, Sr. He was a graduate of McKenzie High School and attended barber's college in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a member of the Greater Enon Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member of several organizations, as well as a member of the Golden Eagle Lodge #110. He was a barber by trade.
Survivors include his wife, Rose King Dudley, daughters Tara Thomas of Memphis, Erika Dudley of Detroit, Michigan, LaRonda Pumphrey of Louisville, Kentucky; son Titus Gordon of McKenzie; sisters Emma Penson of Louisville, Joyce Teague of Houston, Texas and Beatrice Jones of McKenzie; and five grandchildren.
Thomas Eldon Smothers

CAMDEN - Services for Thomas Eldon Smothers, 84, were at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 23, at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marshall Gurley officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery in Benton County.
Mr. Smothers, a retired shift supervisor for E.J. Dupont, died Thursday, June 9 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born February 25, 1921 in Benton County to the late Thomas Jordan Smothers and Martha Elizabeth Brackens Smothers.
Survivors include his wife, Lewana Higdon Smothers and a son, Jimmy Smothers of Camden.
Harmon Leon Currin

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA - Services for Harmon Leon Currin, 80, were conducted at 2:00 p.m. in Daytona Beach, Florida, followed by interment
at a local cemetery.
Mr. Harmon, a native of McKenzie, died Monday, June 6, at Florida Hospital in Ormond Beach, Florida.
He was born August 25, 1924 in Carroll County. He was a retired teacher for Volusia County where he taught for 36 years. He also taught in Brunswick, Georgia for seven years. He was a World War II Army veteran and only survivor of his unit which served in Patton's Army. He was a member of a bridge club at Sica Hall in Holly Hill, Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Currin; three daughters, Carla Van de Sande of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Julia Currin of Boston, Massachusetts, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian Currin Esch of McKenzie and Sibyl Currin Carter of Paris and one brother, Everett Currin of McKenzie.
George Franklin Moore

McKENZIE - George Franklin Moore, 66, died Sunday, January 15, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services were Tuesday, January 17, in the Gallimore Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Dale Mathis officiating. Burial followed in Hopewell cemetery.
Mr. Moore was retired from K-T Clay Company and was a member of the First Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Moore and Eunice Edwards Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Bernice Rushing Moore; one son, David Lambert of Gleason; one daughter, Angie Hickman of Gleason; two brothers, Richard Moore and Randy Moore, both of McKenzie; two sisters, Bobbie Lou Mann of McKenzie and Martha Harris of Milan; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Betty Elizabeth Black

GLEASON - Betty Elizabeth Black, 72, died Sunday, February 26, at Henry County Medical Center. Services will be held Wednesday, March 1, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Gallimore Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell cemetery.
Mrs. Black was born May 27, 1933, to the late Willie D. and Willie D. McCaslin. She was a retired H.I.S. seamstress and a member of Gleason First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, James "Pete" Black; three sons, Jeff Hames and Robert "Noonie" Hames, both of Gleason, and Bobby Hames Jr. of McEwen; two brothers, Buck Garner and Glendall Garner, both of Gleason; three sisters, Elvonia Tate, Martha Starling and Lois Starling, all of Gleason; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Lucy Lee Searatt

HUNTINGDON - Lucy Lee Searatt, 89, of Huntingdon, died Sunday, February 26, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services will be conducted Wednesday, March 1, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Interment
will follow in the Hampton cemetery. Brother Wayne Burton and Brother William Holden will officiate the services.
Mrs. Searatt was born June 12, 1916, in Jackson, Mississippi, to the late Dave and Cornelia White Parrett. She was a homemaker and a member of True Tabernacle Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rulen Searatt, on October 2, 1988; a son, Gearld E. Searatt; a daughter, Ruby Mae Leadford, and a grandson, Gary Searatt.
She is survived by three daughters: Bernice Allen and Shirley Avery, both of Huntingdon, and Katherine Wilder of Sardis; one son, Bradford Searatt of Huntingdon; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Lucille Morris Milam

McKENZIE - Lucille Morris Milam, 80, died Friday, February 24, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Services were held Sunday, February 26, at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Harrell Nation officiating. Interment
followed at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Milam was born in Atwood on February 22, 1926, to the late Joseph and Mattie Churchwell Morris. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in McKenzie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eulis Massey (Smokey) Milam; one brother, Howard Morris; and one sister, Dorothy Sue Morris.
She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Hopper of Memphis; one son, Jimmy Milam of Nashville; two sisters, Linda Richmond of Memphis and Helen Gregory of Memphis; one brother, Joe Morris of Nashville; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis.
