Ms. Maxwell, a retired secretary for Publix Shirt factory in Huntingdon died on Tuesday, November 11 at University Medical Center in Lebanon.
She was born August 10, 1924 in Carthage to the late Alma Endress Gibbs and John McMillan Gibbs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Maxwell, Jr.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Maxwell and Ronnie Maxwell, both of McKenzie; one daughter, Laurel 'Cookie' Cary of Westport; three brothers, Harold Endress of Detroit, Michigan, Charles Gibbs of Mesa, Arizona and Robert Gibbs of McKenzie; one sister, Nancy Pakan of Phoenix, Arizona, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Frances Lorene Haywood Baxter

Mrs. Baxter, a homemaker, died at NHC Nursing Home in Milan on Tuesday, November 11.
She was born June 18, 1919 in Denmark to the late Ervie Lavina Gibson Smith and Felix Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Baxter.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Sherron Haywood of Bloomington, Illinois, James Lewis Haywood, Jr. of Milan and Stanley Dwayne Haywood of Camden; one daughter, Harriet Ann Haywood Burns of Trezevant; four sisters, Lavada Prather of McKenzie, Ellie Crossnoe of Gleason, and Addie Gallimore and Martha Jo Merrill of Dresden; seven grandchildren and also several step grandchildren.
Virgil Harrison

ATWOOD - Services for Virgil Harrison, 76, were at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 18 at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial in Pisgah cemetery.
Mr. Harrison, retired employee of Milan Army Ammunition Plant, died on Saturday, August 16 at NHC Healthcare in Milan.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atwood and a U.S. Naval veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Belew Harrison; two sons, Robert Joe Harrison of Houston, Texas and Mark L. Harrison of Trezevant; one stepson, Victor Akins of Atwood; a sister, Shirley Bray of Milan, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Thomas Aubrey Reed

Mr. Reed was born on October 13, 1936 in Carroll County to the late Marvin and Sudie Williams Reed. He was a member of the Centerpoint Baptist Church in Bruceton.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Peggy Bridges Reed; two daughters, Lisa Dill of Wildersville and Stephanie Delaney of Cedar Grove; three sisters, Juanita Nolen of Clarksburg, Pauline Brown of Fenton, Missouri and O'Dean Garms of East Peoria, Illinois; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Lawrence Tyson 'Bub' Garrett

HUNTINGDON - Mr. Lawrence Tyson 'Bub' Garrett, 76, died on Thursday, August 14 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, August 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Huntingdon with Bro. Fred Ward and Bro. George Hill officiating. Interment
followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Garrett was born on June 14, 1927 in Hico to the late J.D. and Lola Hogan Garrett. He was a Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Huntingdon where he served on various committees and was a member of the Brotherhood of the Church. Outside of his church activities, he was an executive council member of the Democratic Party in Carroll County. He served as the Sheriff of Carroll County from 1976-1982 and was named Outstanding Sheriff for Tennessee in 1977. He was a member of the Tennessee Sheriff's Association, served the community as a volunteer fireman, constable, school bus driver for the Huntingdon Special School District for over 20 years, and was a police officer for the Huntingdon Police Department. He was also self employed as a service station owner, used car dealer, mechanic and farmed his father's land. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Rural Main Carrier in 1994.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Virginia Louise Brown Garrett; two daughters, Teresa Hippel of Cordova and Tracy Hickey of Jackson; one son, Tony Garrett of Etowah; two sisters, Inez Smith and Mary Frances Coleman, both of Huntingdon; and six grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to the Huntingdon First Baptist Church Building Fund.

Howard Baumgardner

CEDAR GROVE - Mr. Howard Baumgardner, 77, died on Monday, August 11 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, August 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Christian Chapel Church of Christ with Brother Doug Sellars officiating. Interment
followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Baumgardner was born on August 17, 1925 to the late C.A. and Gwen Dola Collins Baumgardner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Baumgardner. He was a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ and an army World War II veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Anderson of Cedar Grove; two sons, Chester Ray Baumgardner of Cedar Grove and Joe Brent Baumgardner of Jackson; two brothers, Dwayne Baumgardner of Cedar Grove and Bobby Baumgardner of Lavinia; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Wilson, the daughter of the late William and Louellen Cagle Haynes, was born September 5, 1917 in Decatur County. She was a retired employee of the Publix Shirt Corporation and a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Lee Wilson, who died on June 20, 1984, a daughter Wydell Turner, who passed away on June 20, 1978; two brothers, Covie Haynes and Glennie Haynes and a sister, Marie Dodd.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Hilliard of Huntingdon; three sisters, Jane Dodd of Huntingdon, Grey Duke and Mae Taylor, both of Parsons; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Bertha Evelyn 'Sally' Roberts

Mrs. Roberts was born on February 2, 1932 to the late Ben and Mable Pearcey Fronabarger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dayton Roberts, who passed away on July 29, 1976 and a brother, F.A. Fronabarger. She was a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ and an employee of Publix Shirt Corp.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Roberts Keene of Martin; three sons, Gerry Roberts of Dade City, Florida, Benny Roberts and John Roberts, both of Huntingdon; two brothers, J.C. Fronabarger of Lexington and Carl Fronabarger of Denver, Colorado; one sister, Francis Tate of Lexington; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

LEXINGTON - Ida Joyce Jackson Hilliard, 46, died on Tuesday, August 12 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after an apparent heart attack. Services were at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 16 at the Greater Enon Baptist Church in McKenzie with the Rev. James H. Stewart officiating. Burial was in the Shiloh Memorial Gardens in Carroll County.
She was born in McKenzie on August 5, 1957 to the late Hugh Morris Jackson and Alice Snead Jackson. She was a 1974 graduate of McKenzie High School and a member of the Huntingdon Christian Fellowship Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Temple Kimberly Hilliard of McKenzie; one son, Christian Deon Hilliard of McKenzie; three sisters, Kim Jackson, Karla Jackson and Kelly Jackson, all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one brother, Christopher Jackson of Milwaukee and five grandchildren.

Mr. Frazier, a retired welder at All Steel in Aurora, Illinois, died on Saturday, August 16 at the Milan General Hospital.
He was born November 17, 1924 in Jackson to the late Milsey Eddings Frazier and Edmond Frazier. He was a member of the Republican Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy L. Bauser Frazier; three sons, James Michael Frazier and Rickey L. Frazier, both of Trezevant; Terry E. Frazier of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a brother James H. Frazier of Trezevant; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was born on October 4, 1937 in Greenfield to the late Lillie Turner Johnson and Hulon Johnson. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Henry.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Darnell Johnson; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Tammy Johnson of McKenzie; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Timothy Clendenin of Yakima, Washington; a brother, Joe Johnson of Bradford; a sister, Pearl Reynolds of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Steve Boone, David Clendenin and Jacob Clendenin; four step-grandchildren, Johnathan Clendenin, Elizabeth Young, Amanda young and Bradley Young.

Mrs. Deaton, widow of Granville Deaton, died on Saturday, August 9 at Lifecare Center in Bruceton.
She was born September 14, 1906 in Benton County to the late Henry and Telia Harvey Bomar. She was a member of the Bruceton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mildred Bryant of Camden, Christine Sparks of Memphis and Mary Elizabeth Deaton of Murfreesboro; a son Tony Deaton of Bartlett; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
