McKENZIE - Services for William Aaron Pinson, 95, were at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, at First Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Trull officiating. Interment
followed in the Mt. Olivet cemetery. Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Pinson, retired from the Milan Arsenal and a former McKenzie Police Chief, died Thursday, May 12, at McKenzie Regional Hospital.
He was born January 9, 1910, in Hollow Rock, to the late Carl Wright Pinson and Dora Lee Lindsey Pinson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in McKenzie and Fraternal Order of Police.
Survivors include two sons, Dan Pinson of McKenzie and Donald Pinson of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; two daughters, Kathy Smith of McKenzie and Jean Lanier of Oneonta, Alabama; a sister, Louise Pinson of McKenzie; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Cozart Pinson.
Bobby Taylor Spain

McKENZIE - Services for Bobby Taylor Spain, 70, were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Max Speight officiating. Burial was in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Spain, co-owner of Spain Brothers Milling Company and former employee of Publix Shirt Factory, died Sunday, May 22, at his residence.
He was born September 24, 1934, in Milan, to the late Ernest Manley Spain and Mary Frances Stewart Spain. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Edlin Spain; a son, Steve Spain of McKenzie; two daughters, Marsha (Jerry) Smith of Paris and Carol Godwin of Gleason; five brothers: Joe Manley Spain of McKenzie, Gene Spain, David Spain and Jerry Spain, all of Gleason, and Freddy Spain of Chicago, Illinois; a sister, Mary Ruth Suddath of Gleason; and seven grandchildren: Nick Smith, Sam Smith, Drew Spain, Taylor Spain, Landon Spain, Gus Godwin and Grace Godwin.
MARY ELLEN LEE MEDLIN

McKENZIE - Mary Ellen Lee Medlin, 59, died Monday, February 25, at her home. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer on February 14, 2008. Funeral services were Tuesday, February 26, at 2 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home with burial at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Medlin was born July 4, 1948 in Scottsboro, Alabama. She was co-owner of Medlin's Clothing and Shoe Store, a business she and her husband started February 14, 1975.
Survivors include: her husband, Thomas L. Medlin who she married
June 13, 1972; two daughters, Melissa (Carl) Campbell and Belinda Medlin, both of McKenzie; six grandchildren, T.J. and Heather Campbell of McKenzie, Allison, Tiffani, Beth and Brandon Blackard; her parents, John D. and Alpha Lee of Horseshoe Lake, Arkansas; two brothers, Bruce Lee of Puryear and Barry Lee of Paris; three sisters, Johnnie Rioles of Marion, Arkansas, Peggy Benfante of Sanford, North Carolina and Sharon Sampley of West Memphis, Arkansas.
CLARA PEARL TRAYWICK
BRUCETON - Clara Pearl Traywick, 87, died Tuesday, February 19, at Life Care of Bruceton. Graveside services were Thursday, February 21, at 2 p.m. at Twin Oaks cemetery in Huntingdon with Rev. Lloyd Rich officiating.
Ms. Traywick was born in Holladay to the late Luke D. Norwood and Louiza Ellis Norwood. She was a housewife and member of Twin Oaks Church of Christ.
Survivors include: one niece and two nephews.

KATIE SUE ALLEN VAUGHN

BEAUMONT, TEXAS: Katie Sue Allen Vaughn, 76, died Wednesday, February 20, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas after a lengthy illness. Graveside services were Saturday, February 23, at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove cemetery in Trezevant.
Mrs. Vaughn was born July 25, 1931 to the late Hilliard and Nola Allen of Trezevant. She was the oldest of four children. She was a graduate of Trezevant High School in 1949. After she married
Charles Vaughn in 1950, they moved to Houston, Texas and most of her life she worked as a nurse at different hospitals and doctors' offices. She was a member of the Garden Road Baptist Church in Pearland, Texas. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by twin brothers, Bethel and Cary Allen.
Survivors include: her husband of 58 years, Charles; four children, Dennis, David, Douglas, and Katie Susan; and six grandchildren, Natalie, Bryan, Christina, Michelle, Kathryn (Katie) and Austin; and one sister, Brenda Kay Allen Shaw of Jackson.

McKENZIE - Thomas A. Nolen, Jr., 65, died Wednesday, February 20, at his home. Funeral services were Saturday, February 23, at 2 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home, McKenzie.
Mr. Nolen was born November 12, 1942 in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas to the late Thomas A Nolen, Sr. and Dimple Mae Mallard Nolen. He was a retired service tech for Bellsouth and a Navy veteran. He was post commander for the VFW 4939 in McKenzie and also a member of the American Legion and the Telephone Pioneers.

Mrs. Bryant was born February 20, 1919 in Carroll County to the late Robert Lee and Gertie Mae Mann Bush. She was a retired manager of Big John's Bakery. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Bryant.
Survivors include: two brothers, Austin (Agnes) Bush and Billy Ray (Sue) Bush, both of McKenzie.

WESTPORT: Dora Lee Cross, 88, died Wednesday, February 20, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were Friday, February 22, at 2:00 p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home with Bro. Lynn Stapleton officiating. Burial followed in Jamison cemetery.
Mrs. Cross was born January 27, 1920 in Westport to the late Homer L. and Eura Blount Hilliard. She was a homemaker, a part-time employee of the U.S. Postal Service and a member of Huntingdon First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband of 64 years, Alton Cross; one son, Richard (Sandra) Cross of Westport; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

HUNTINGDON - Barbara Kay Rust, 58, died Wednesday, February 20, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Saturday, February 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Pete Kirby officiating. Burial followed in New Hope cemetery.
Mrs. Rust was born April 7, 1949 in Carroll County to the late T. H. and Viola (Gooch) Hester. She was a retired hand welder for Nestaway Corp. and a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church . Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Hardy Hester, Joe Harrell Hester, and (Bill Boy) Hester.
Survivors include: one daughter, Tammy Sauls of Bruceton; one son, Richard Prince of Huntingdon; seven sisters, Helen Sparks of Camden, Alice Mitchell, Mary Ann Oatsvall, Betty Sue Hollingsworth, Martha Joyce Pearson, all of Huntingdon, Sandra Louise Milan of Portageville, Missouri, and Glenda Gail Bell of Yuma; two brothers, Darrell (Goochie) Hester of Buena Vista and Dale Hardy Hester of Wildersville; and three grandchildren.

William J. Miller, 84, formerly of Huntingdon, died Monday, February 18. Graveside services were Saturday, February 23, at 2 p.m. at McLemoresville cemetery with Bro. Bill Crossno officiating.
Mr. Miller was born November 8, 1923 in Carroll County.
Survivors include: one son, Stan (Kathie) Miller of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

HUNTINGDON - Barbara Lynn Meals, 73, died Saturday, February 23, at the Convalescent Health Care Center in Virginia. Graveside funeral services are Thursday, February 28, at 1 p.m. at Clarksburg cemetery with Bro. Phillip Halter officiating.
Mrs. Meals was born January 18, 1935 to the late Lester Verner and Lillian Graple Pinson. She was owner of the Purina Feed Mill and a member of the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Meals.
Survivors include: one brother, Billy Pinson of Zuni, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home and on Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of services.

PARIS - James Lloyd Jackson, 88, died Monday, February 25, at his residence. Funeral services are Wednesday, February 27, at 3 p.m. at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Warren T. Sykes and Kelly Farris, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial cemetery in Paris.
Mr. Jackson was born April 22, 1919 in Buchanan to the late James Burton Jackson and Anna Mable Houston Jackson. He was a self-employed truck driver, a farmer and a member of Jolley Springs Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Clayton.
Survivors include: his wife, Peggy Frances Richardson Jackson; four daughters, Charlotte Button and Wilma (Kelly) Farris, both of Paris, Linda (Reggie) Elliott of Henry and Leisa (Dion) Chenoweth of Mansfield; one foster son, David Richardson of Henry; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Elbadean Rhodes Barger

CEDAR GROVE - Services for Elbadean Rhodes Barger, 71, were conducted at the Obion Chapel Church of Christ with Bro. Ernest Pounds officiating. Interment
followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Barger died Tuesday, May 17, at her home.
She was born June 27, 1933, in Medina, to the late Grover Rhodes and Charlie Burton Rhodes. She was a retired factory worker for the Henry I. Siegel Company and a member of the Obion Chapel Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Barger, who died July 15, 2004.
Survivors include one daughter, Kay McAlister of Cedar Grove, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson.
