McKENZIE - Services for Lillian Holly Hopper, 87, were at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 6, at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris. Interment
followed in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Hopper, a homemaker, died Thursday, June 2, at her home.
She was born June 4, 1917, in Brandon Mill, Kentucky, to the late Adly McCormick and Josie Canady McCormick. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church in McKenzie and former member of Birds Creek Baptist Church in Paris.
Survivors include her husband, Toy Hopper; a daughter, Mary Arlene Lingerfelt of Rochester, Michigan; two sons, Joe Windle Hopper of McKenzie and John William Hopper of Warren, Michigan; a brother, Houston Leon McCormick of Greenwood, South Carolina; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Violet Sandford, and four brothers, Bryan Hopper, Robert Hopper, Benard Hopper and Yulan Hopper.
John Gerald Terpstra

Mr. Terpstra, retired from Texaco Oil Company, died Tuesday, May 31, at Martin Health Care.
He was born on May 6, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Gerrit and Mintie Devries Terpstra. He was a member of the Gleason Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Mae Ruiter Terpstra; two daughters, Sharon Vitale of Manteno, Illinois, and Jacqueline Alexander of Dresden; a brother, Robert Terpstra of St. John, Indiana; and a sister, Mildred Ericks of Lansing, Illinois.
Harold George Johnson

Mr. Johnson, a retired mail carrier, died Saturday, May 28, at Methodist Hospital in Germantown.
He was born January 3, 1918, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Arthur and Alma Rose Glass Johnson. He was a World War II veteran, a member of the Gleason First Baptist Church and a member of the Gleason American Legion Post #166.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Younce Johnson; a stepson, Everett Wilhoite of Chicago, Illinois; and one step-grandchild.
Cleavie Yateman Wallace

McKENZIE - Services for Cleavie Yateman Wallace, 88, were at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 5, at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Miller officiating. Burial was in the Liberty cemetery in Dresden.
Mr. Wallace, a farmer, died Wednesday, June 1, at Martin Health Care.
He was born April 15, 1917, in Parsons, to the late Thomas Wallace and Lucy Davis Wallace. He was a member of the Liberty Pentecostal Church in Dresden.
Survivors include seven daughters, Doris McCormack of Jackson, Glenda Snider of Dresden, Georgie (Earl) Roney of Chester, Virginia, Shirley (Dennis) Eskey of Reading, Pennsylvania, Lois (Dwain) McGowne of Yuma, Arizona, Jeanette Snider of Dresden and Katie (Larry) Daniel of Gleason; a brother, Everett Wallace of Regan; two sisters, Opal Etheridge and Gertrude Jones, both of Regan; 15 grandchildren, Sherry Keltner, Marion McCormick, Kerry McGowne, Carla Cooper, Brad Snider, Misty Brewer, Tonya Snider, Andy Snider, Wendy Sipes, Sharon Cheseldine, Donna Roney, Tammy Ashney, Stacey Lavra, Chad Daniel and Kimberly Eskey; and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ola Richardson Wallace.

HUNTINGDON - Graveside services for Neva Rayfield, 91, were held Thursday, June 2. Mrs. Rayfield died Wednesday, June 1, at her home in Huntingdon.
She is survived by Charlotte Blair, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

James Marshall Allen

WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS: Services for James Marshall Allen, 57, were at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, June 5, at Roller-Citizens Chapel Funeral Home. Burial was in Finley's cemetery in Huntingdon.
Mr. Allen, a former office manager for Evening Times Publishing Company, died Wednesday, June 1, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis, Arkansas.
He was a Baptist in faith, a member of the Crittenden County Rescue Squad and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Survivors include a daughter, Christy Catt of West Memphis, Arkansas; a son, Brandon Stuart Allen of Millington; a sister, Sandra Kay Hedge of Huntingdon; a brother, Danny Ray Allen of McKenzie; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
William Hulon Cooper

Mr. Cooper, a retired carpenter and trader, died Saturday, June 4, at McKenzie Regional Hospital.
He was born May 8, 1917, in McKenzie, to the late Calvin J. Cooper and Pearl Lewis Cooper. He was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church in Greenfield.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Mitchell of McKenzie and Wanda Cooper of Greenfield; a son, Jere Cooper of McKenzie; two brothers, Lewis Cooper and Carol Cooper, both of McKenzie; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Ann Smith Cooper.
Kelly Renee Wilkerson

DRESDEN - Services for Kelly Renee Wilkerson, 25, were at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 5, at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan with the Rev. George Brewer officiating. Burial was in Gibson County Memory Gardens.
Miss Wilkerson, an employee of Huntingdon Health and Rehab, died Wednesday, June 1, as the result of a traffic accident.
She was born August 27, 1979, in Trenton. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Brenda and Joe Johnson of Lobelville; her father, Joseph Jones Wilkerson; her grandparents, Joe and Christina Kilburn and Wade and Patricia Nance, all of Gibson; two brothers, Jeremy Forsythe of Portland and Charles William Gilbert of Dresden; a stepbrother, Joseph Johnson of Cedar Grove and a stepsister, Jodie Johnson of Cedar Grove.
Wanda G. Parks

Mrs. Parks, a retired secretary for Zenith and Sears, died Friday, June 3, at McKenzie Health Care Center.
She was born April 12, 1914, in Elizabethton, to the late Bruce Anderson and Della Belle Ahsher Smith. She was a member of the Gleason Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a brother, James W. Smith, Sr. of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two sisters, Bernice Shipley of Elizabethton and Nancy Sue Hall of Palmetto, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Bub" Parks.
Daniel Thomas Green, IV

Mr. Green, a grain operator, died on Monday, June 6, at Memorial Hospital Pembroke in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
He was born June 3, 1946, in Memphis.
Survivors include his mother, Martha Green Carpenter of Memphis; a son, Christopher Green of Pompano Beach, Florida; two daughters, Carie G. Worley of Cooper City, Florida and Corey Berry of Dania, Florida; three sisters, Garland Davis of Nesbitt, Mississippi, Martha Murray of Jackson, Maine, and Meg Thomas of Memphis; and 11 grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel T. Green, III and a brother, John Green.
John David Marshall

MURFREESBORO: Graveside services for John David Marshall, 77, formerly of McKenzie, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9, at Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie with the Rev. James McGuire officiating. Brummitt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Marshall died Monday, June 6, at Adams Place Independent Living in Murfreesboro. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in McKenzie.
He was the son of the late Max Marshall and Emma Walpole Marshall.
Marshall received numerous awards including the 1989 Distinguished Alumni Award from Florida State University School of Library and Information Studies, where he graduated with a master's degree in 1951 and the 1989 Alumni Achievement Award from Bethel College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in 1950.
Marshall was a noted expert on the life and works of Sir Winston Churchill and was elected a Churchill Fellow by Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri in 1982. In 1989, he was elected to the Board of Governors of the Winston Churchill Memorial and Library at Westminster College in Fulton. The board has a membership of fifteen, including Churchill's daughter, Lady Mary Soames DBE.
His distinguished career as librarian/scholar/author includes 41 years of service to academic libraries in Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. He authored or edited 16 books, published over 25 articles and contributed over 300 book reviews.Survivors include three cousins, David Marshall Stewart of Nashville, Charles Walpole of Dallas and Mary Kelley of Atlanta.
Memorials may be made to the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church or to Bethel College.
