Michael Berutti
Mr. Michael Berutti, 83, of Bon Aqua died Friday, April 15, 2005 at National Health Care. His remains were cremated and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements were under the direction of Spann Funeral Home in Dickson.
Mr. Berutti was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce A. Berutti of Bon Aqua and Michael L. Berutti of Michigan; two brothers, Charlie Berutti and Louie Berutti, both of Michigan; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Ona Elizabeth Chandler
Funeral services for Mrs. Ona Elizabeth Chandler, 82, of Rockwood, Tenn., were 8 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2005 in the chapel of Evans Mortuary with Bro. Glen Moore officiating. Interment
was held Tuesday, April 19 at Roane Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Chandler died at Rockwood Care & Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, April 14, 2005. She was born May 28, 1922 in Burns. She was the owner and operator of the former Lake View Park Boat Dock and Campground in Rockwood. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and attended the Post Oak congregation.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin Leon Chandler of Rockwood; children, Brenda Daugherty of Rockwood, Judy and Ramon Gomez of Park City, Utah, Don and Susan Chandler of Rockwood and James and Lori Chandler of Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren, Cindy Hendrickson, Lisa Daugherty, Stephanie Wilson, Paula Daugherty, Pat Gomez, Maria Gomez, Matthew Chandler, Daniel Chandler and Samantha Chandler; 11 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Beulah Tyler of Cambridge, Md., Freeman Brown of Pendleton, Ore., and Thelma Caldwell of Portland, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Essie Brown; and brothers, Roy, Glenn, Clint and James Daniel and Harold Brown.
Clarence J. Clifton
Funeral services for Mr. Clarence J. Clifton, 81, of Dickson will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005 from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Harold Petty and Mr. Clifton’s son, Ray, officiating. Burial will follow in Union cemetery.
Mr. Clifton passed away Sunday, April 17, 2005 at his home.
Mr. Clifton operated the Texaco Gas Station on College Street in Dickson, worked with Diplomat Farm as a cattle supervisor, drove a school bus for Dickson County Schools for 30 years, farmed and owned and operated the Tennessee City Strawberry Farm. He was a member of the West Dickson Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Clark Clifton of Dickson; four sons, Harlan (Liz) Clifton of Dickson, Ray (Jean) Clifton of Dickson, Jimmy (Connie) Finney of Bowling Green, KY. and Donnie (Phyllis) Finney of Charlotte; three daughters, Joyce Clifton-Martin (Roy Wayne) of Goodlettsville; Sandy Clifton-Anderson (Wilton) of Burns and Jean Cothern-Mowat (Edd) of Dickson; brothers, Clyde (Clara) Clifton of Burns and Leslie (Dimple) Clifton of Tullahoma; sisters, Eda Clifton Sanker and Gracie Clifton Crow, both of Burns; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Clifton was preceded in death by his parents, Josiah and Lilly Cline Clifton, brothers Gilbert and Billy Clifton and sisters Irene Clifton-Myatt and Virgie Clifton-Cathey.
Helen Irene Corbin Gentry
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Irene Corbin Gentry, 88, of Dickson, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005 from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Rev. Roy West officiating, followed by burial in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Gentry, a homemaker, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2005 at NHC Health Care.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Gentry of Dickson; nieces and nephews, Don Williams, Billy Corbin, Chuck Corbin, Gail Jones, Carol Golden, Edwin Gentry and Dale Gentry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Gentry; her parents, A.S. and Lela Ray Corbin; and several brothers and sisters.
Allen Alford Harrison
Funeral services for Mr. Allen “Paw Paw” Alford Harrison, 83, of Fairview were 2 p.m. Sunday, April 17 from the Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Mayberry and Bro. Jim Prince officiating. Burial was in Lampley cemetery.
Mr. Harrison died Friday, April 15, 2005 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He was born Jan. 11, 1922 in Nashville. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired ship builder with Nashville Bridge Company.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Harrison of Fairview; son, Danny Harrison and his wife, Ann of Ashland City; daughters, Carolyn Sullivan of Lyles and Janet Harrison and her husband, Joe of Memphis; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah A. and Lillian Pope Harrison; and son-in-law Jerry Sullivan.
Willmoth Ellen Heath
Funeral services for Mrs. Willmoth Ellen Heath, 95, of Charlotte were held Sunday, April 17, 2005 from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Shouse officiating. Burial followed in the Hamble cemetery.
Mrs. Heath was retired from the Henry I. Siegal Company in Dickson and worked in home health caring for the elderly until she was 90 years of age.
Survivors include two sons, Howard D. (Jackie) Heath and Clarence Emmitt Heath, both of Dickson; one daughter, Katherine Nell Bowker of Charlotte; one sister, Odell Hampton of Indiana; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Morrow Heath; and two daughters, Eleanor Estelle (Tince) Sensing and Barbara Marlene Batey.
Edward Cecil Perry
Funeral services for Mr. Edward Cecil Perry, 53, of Fairview will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2005 from the Fairview chapel of Dickson Funeral Home in Fairview with Rev. Allen Weller officiating. Burial will be in McNeal cemetery.
Mr. Perry passed away Sunday, April 17, 2005 at his home.
He was a truck driver and served in the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Perry of Fairview; three daughters, Janice Louise Perry Simpson, Dorothy Marie (Jeff) Dodson and Angie (Mike) McQueen, all of Fairview; brothers, Lonnie, Carl, Bobby and Willie Perry; sisters, Marie Canada and Elizabeth Carroll; and six grandchildren.
Nellie Leegon Pickard
Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Leegon Pickard, 87, were 2 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2005 at Humphreys County Funeral Home in Waverly with Bro. Heath Ross officiating. Burial followed in Brown-Long cemetery in McEwen. Cheatham County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pickard died Saturday, April 2, 2005 at her home in Chapmansboro. She was born June 2, 1917 in Humphreys County. She retired from ACME Boot in 1985.
Survivors include her brother, Bowman (Pauline) Leegon of Spring Hill; sister, Pauline James of Waverly; daughter, Shirley (Murriel) Walker of Chapmansboro; sons, Richard (Joyce) Pickard of New Johnsonville and David (Barbara) Pickard of Burns; grandchildren, Lisa (Gary) Tinch of Pleasant View, Chuck (Madonna) Walker of Chapmansboro, Stacee (John) Patterson of Burns, Davy (Robin) Pickard and Rusty (Anita) Pickard of White Bluff, Tim Pickard and Mike Pickard, both of Waverly, and Phillip (April) Pickard of New Johnsonville; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two caregivers, Angela Copley Richardson and Virginia Engel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Richard Leegon and Mary Wright Leegon; her husband of 49 years, Elmer C. Pickard; grandson, Mark Stephen Pickard; brothers, Odus, James, Stinnett and Preston Leegon; and sisters, Mae Johnson, Jean Smith and Lucille Speight.

Ruby Ileen Porter
Memorial services for Mrs. Ruby Ileen Porter, 91, are 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2005 at Pond Presbyterian Church with Bro. Paul Picard officiating. Her remains were cremated. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. Taylor Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Porter, a retired machine operator with the former Red Kap Garment Co., died Friday, April 15, 2005 at Dickson Healthcare Center. Born in Marion, Ill., to the late Albert Harrison and Zona M. Caruthers McLerran, she was a member of Pond Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Richard E. (Dick) Porter and his wife, Norma of Dickson and Noel Wayne Porter and his wife, Pat of Lawrenceburg; three sisters, Edna Sandys of Toledo, Ohio, Blanche Carver of Red Boiling Springs and Erma Lee Gass of Moss, Tenn., and several grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard R. Porter; son, Donald Porter; and daughters, Glenda Raye Porter and Linda Faye Porter.

William Ronald Tolar
Funeral services for Mr. William Ronald “Ron” Tolar, 55, were 7 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Bear Creek United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas, with Rev. Bobbie Maltas officiating. Arrangements were handled by Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home.
Mr. Tolar died April 10, 2005 at home in Houston, Texas. He was born to Billy and Lula Mai Tolar on March 9, 1950 in Dickson. His parents preceded him in death.

Louise McAlister Warren
Funeral services for Louise McAlister Warren, 90, of Linden were 2 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005 at Young Funeral Home in Linden with Bob Mowrey officiating. Interment

Ms. Warren died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at NHC in Dickson. She was born March 6, 1915 in Perry County to the late John E. McAlister and Ida Whithead McAlister.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Wayne “Buddy” Warren of Linden and L. Walton Warren of Gallatin; daughter, Betty Warren Conner of Dickson; brother, John McAlister of Athens, Texas; sister, Jean Edwards of Linden; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Paul Warren; daughter, Billie Jean Humbert; sister, Inez Mercer; and grandchild, Cathy Warren.
Bessie Jo Coble

Mrs. Coble, a lifelong resident of Humphreys County, died Monday, April 11, 2005 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. She was a retired packer for Acme Boot Co. and attended at First Baptist Church in Waverly.
Survivors include three daughters, Patsy Adams and her husband, Nelson of Waverly, Rena Hall and her husband, Lee of Goodlettsville and Judy Manor and her husband, Troy of Waverly; three sisters, Ora Lee Stewart of Waverly, Bobbie Jean Cogdill of Dickson and Katherine Medley of Nashville; three sisters-in-law, Patty Collier of Waverly, Rue Brigham of Waverly and Maxine Jackson of Nashville; grandchildren, Jason Manor and his wife, Sarah of Fairview, Jeff Manor and his wife, Heather of Waverly, Michael Adams and his wife, Jennifer of Burns, Kevin Adams of Waverly and Chris Hall of Goodlettsville; great-grandchildren, Cody Manor, Lindsay Manor and Cameron Manor, all of Waverly, Hayden Adams of Waverly and Gracie Adams of Burns.

Mrs. Estes of Schererville, Ind., died Saturday, April 11, 2005. She was a worker at K-Mart in Hammond, Ind., for 17 years.
