Rex A. Fluty Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Rex A. Fluty Sr., 96, were 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004 from McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville with Bill McDonald and John Vaughn officiating. Interment
followed at Oakmont cemetery in Centerville.
Mr. Fluty was born June 24, 1908 in Flatwoods, Tenn. He died on Dec. 10, 2004 at his residence in Dickson. He was the son of the late Esther Burton Fluty and Sarah Amanda Mayberry. He is the husband of the late Lillie Hatcher Fluty. He was employed as a superintendent of Tennessee Gas.
Survivors include his son, Rex A. Fluty Jr. of Del Ray, Fla.; daughter, Jane Wallace of Dickson; and two grandchildren, Kendel and Carl.
Jack Kaley
Jack Straud Kaley, 84, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004 in Knoxville.
Kaley was a native of Bremen, Ga., and graduated from Bremen High School in 1937. He received his B.S. degree from Union University in Jackson, Tenn., and his M.D. degree from Vanderbilt University. Kaley served his internship and general surgery residency at the State University of Iowa, University Hospital at Iowa City, Iowa.
He served in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps during World War II and retired from the VA Outpatient Clinic in Chattanooga in 1980. He served as senior surgical staff, general surgery and medicine at Central State Psychiatric Hospital, Nashville, VA Hospital and University of Iowa, Dickson General Hospital in Dickson and Trinity Hospital in Erin.
Kaley was a longtime active member and usher at St. John United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lynda Clement Kaley; three children, Walton Kaley, Laura Kaley and her husband, Tony Basilio, all of Knoxville and John Kaley of Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Anthony and Kaleigh Basilio; three brothers, Jacob Walton “Bunk” Kaley Jr., Max Dane Kaley and Steve Earl Kaley; mother-in-law, Maxine Clement; sisters-in-law, Hellen Kaley and Glynda Sharp; brother-in-law, Billy Clement; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Goodman and Rev. Dallas Beck officiating. Interment
followed in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Siskin Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Center.
Michael Alexander Titherage

Michael, a native of Maury County and a fourth-grade student at White Bluff Elementary School, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson.
In addition to his parents, Tracey and Angela Davidson Titus of White Bluff, he is survived by one brother, Zachery Alexander Titus of White Bluff; paternal grandparents, Bill and Linda Yates of Michigan; paternal great-grandparents, John and Carolyn Thompson of Ellijay, Ga.; maternal grandparents, Richard and Michelle Sanders of Lewisburg; maternal grandmother, Virginia Young of Cincinnati, Ohio; maternal great-grandmother, Ruby Davidson of Cincinnati, Ohio; and maternal great-grandmother, Barbara Sanders of Kentucky.
Christine B. Vantrease
Funeral services for Mrs. Christine B. Vantrease, 91, were 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Rev. Melvin Brooks officiating.
Mrs. Vantrease, born in Dickson County to the late Claude and Essie Mae Murphy Baldwin, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. She was a retired trimmer and packer with B.F. Goodrich Company. She was a member of Soules Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Elma M. Robinson of Dickson, Peggy Bryn and her husband, John of Burns and Gladys Hunter and her husband, Bobby of Clarksville; brothers, Charles Baldwin of Cunningham and Jimmy Glynn Baldwin of Clarksville, Harold Baldwin of Cumberland Furnace; sisters, Mae Welker of Cumberland Furnace, Ozelle Ramey of Kingsport and Linda Farmer of Cunningham; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Vantrease; and daughter, Marie B. Shepherd.

Fred Ausborn Bennett Sr.
Funeral services for Fred Ausborn Bennett, Sr., 65, will be today at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, Tenn. with Brother Clark Brown officiating. Interment
will follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Bennett, a surveyor with Bennett and Sons, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
Born in Monteagle, Tenn., he was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Bennett of White Bluff; his sons, James Marvin Bennett and George Allen Bennett, both of White Bluff, Fred Ausborn Bennett Jr. of Slidell, La., Thomas Milton Bennett Sr. of Lyles; daughters, Teresa Ann Bennett of Livingston, Tenn.; Roseana Marie Bronoski of Lyles, Debra Lynn McRee of White Bluff, Carol Renee Donegan and Juanita Denise Baker, also of White Bluff; brothers, Mack Bennett Jr. of White Bluff, Jim Bennett, John Bennett, Sr. and Charles Bennett, all of Sewanee, Tenn.; sisters, Ellen Willis and Carole Davidson, both of Nashville, Linda Stanley and Joyce Gass, both of White Bluff, and Judy Copeland of Old Hickory, Tenn.; 23 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Sarah Aline Cavender Ingram

Mrs. Ingram, a homemaker, born in Dickson County, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, in National Health Care Center in Dickson.
Survivors include four brothers, John Cavender of Dickson, Joe Cavender of Fairview, Charles Cavender of Burns and James Cavender of Nashville; two sisters, Katie Banks of Dickson and Annie Cavender; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Ray Ingram, her parents, George H. and Sarah Estelle Bishop Cavender, sister, Betty Sue Cavender and brother, George Cavender.
Delbert H. James
Funeral services for Delbert H. James, 76, are 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at West Harpeth Chapel with Bro. Bob Mowrey officiating. Interment
to follow at the James Family cemetery in Waverly, Tenn.
Active pallbearers will be David James, Scott James, Stephen James, James Eden, John Ryan Unger and Charles Ross.
Mr. James died Dec. 6, 2004. He was employed by Ford Glass for 36 years, and he was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church and a member of the West Nashville Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife May Bell James; sons, Larry (Margaret) James, Ricky (Elaine) James and Ronnie (Debbie) James and Jimmy (Joanna) Luna; daughters, Sharon (Ryan) Unger Judy (Lynn) Garrison; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and numerous friends.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Helen L. James.
Margaret Keller Stone
Funeral services for Margaret Keller Stone, 62, are 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville, Tenn. with Bishop Boyd M. Kinzer officiating. Interment
will follow in the Memory Gardens cemetery, Centerville, Tenn.
Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 10 from 7-9 p.m.
Ms. Stone of Centerville, Tenn., was born on Aug. 15, 1942. She died Dec. 7, 2004, at Hickman Community Hospital in Centerville. She was a member of the Centerville Church of God. She was a seamstress at Southern Pants.
Survivors include her sons, Connie Stone of Lyles, Mark Stone of Centerville and Jeffery Stone of Norfolk, Va.; daughter, Janice Stone Breedlove of Antioch, Tenn.; brother, Wilkins Satterfield Jr. of Centerville; sisters, Mary Anderson of Old Hickory, Tenn. and Wylodean Stacy of Dickson, Tenn.; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilkins Satterfield Sr. and Anna M. (Hornbeak) Satterfield; and sisters, Yvonne Gross and Juanita Jeanette Grigsby.
Leta Brown White
Funeral services for Leta Brown White, 95, were 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at Dickson Funeral Home with Dr. Don McCoy and Charlie Hawkins officiating.
Interment followed in Union cemetery.
Ms. White of Dickson, was born Nov. 29, 1909, in Dickson County. She died Dec. 7, 2004, at Lakeshore Heartland Retirement Home.
She was a retired librarian with the state health department in 1975. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dickson.
Survivors include her son, Gerald V. (Brenda) White of Brentwood, Tenn.; her daughter, Bette Ann (Charlie) Hawkins of Bon Aqua; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Anna Cathey Brown; husband, Graydon White and son, Roger White.
Elizabeth Luther Freeman

Mrs. Freeman died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. Born in Dickson County, she was a mother and homemaker. A graduate of Dickson High School and Sullens College in Virginia, she was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dickson, Review Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Literary Club, Study Club, Music Club and Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her son, Wes Freeman Jr. and his wife, Mickey of Dickson; daughter, Victoria Freeman Stedman of Nashville; sister, Virginia Luther Vento of Los Angeles, Calif.; granddaughter, Ann Stedman; niece, Frances Vento Huddleston of Los Angeles, Calif.; and three great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Wesley Freeman Sr.; parents, Delbert Gordon and Frances Jeter Luther; and brother, Delbert G. Luther Jr.

Daniel Leon Hill

Mr. Hill, a carpenter, was born in Dickson County. He died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a Mason and served two years in the National Guard.
Survivors include his son, Nathan Hill of White Bluff; brother, Larry Hill of White Bluff; three sisters, Kay Lewis and her husband, Dale of White Bluff, Lois Cocke of White Bluff and Shirley Williams and her husband, Larry of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Doye Williams Hill.
Audrey Pearl Harrison Horner

Mrs. Horner, a native of Dickson County, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. She was a retired machine operator with the former Red Cap Garment Co. She was a member of a non-denominational church.
Survivors include her sons, Earl A. Horner of Brownsville, Tenn., and Juble R. Horner of Dickson; two daughters, Marita Douglas of Dickson and Melba Mann of Charlotte; brother, Dudley R. Harrison of Dickson; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Horner; daughter, Anita Anderson; and parents, John Tatum and Odie Dudley Harrison.
