Richard Boblett
Richard Boblett, 53, Rapid City, and formerly of Spearfish, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, in Lancaster, Calif.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel, Spearfish, with the Rev. Gordon Higgins officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery, Spearfish.
Richard was born Jan. 31, 1950, in Ames, Iowa, to Beecher and Kate Boblett. His family moved to Compton, Calif., where he was raised and attended school. He lived in Lancaster, Calif., Rapid City, and Spearfish, where he was in the trucking industry for 16 years. In 2002, he returned to Rapid City.
Richard loved spending time with his children and family. He also enjoyed fishing, he liked working with wood and helping his friends.
He is survived by four children Richard Boblett, International Falls, Minn., Jennifer Boblett, Palmdale, Calif., and Courtney Boblett and Matthew Boblett, both of Spearfish; one step-son, Nicholas Robbins of Minneapolis; his partner, Jacqueline Rastad and her son Jason, Rapid City; four brothers, Beecher Boblett, Bill Boblett, both of Rapid City, Sam Boblett, Goodman, Mo., and Frank Boblett, Santa Paula, Calif.; four sisters, Kathie Andrews, Lamar Mo., Pamela Rassmussen and June Thomas, both of Goodman, Mo., and Mary Williams, Neosho, Mo.; and two granddaughters, Robie Lynn Palm and Lea Marie Palm, Palmdale, Calif.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Beecher and Kate Boblett.
Virgil A. Huber
Virgil A. Huber, 65, Spearfish, died Nov. 20, 2003, at the David M. Dorsett Health Care Facility, Spearfish.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at Rose Hill cemetery, Spearfish, with the Rev. Mel Miller officiating.
Virgil was born Feb. 3, 1938, in Sidney, Mont., to Lyle and Frona (Addison) Huber. He moved with his family to Lead, where he attended school and he worked at Homestake Mining Company for four years. He moved to California where he worked for Sunkist Fruit Company for several years. He returned to South Dakota, living in Belle Fourche and assisting his mother with operating a motel for seven years. He purchased a laundromat in Spearfish and operated it for a couple of years. He moved to Texas for several years, spending his summers in Spearfish. In 1998, he returned to Belle Fourche and then moved to Spearfish, living in the Pioneer Apartments.
Virgil enjoyed working on automobiles and fixing things. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards.
Virgil is survived by his mother Frona Huber, Spearfish.
He was preceded in death by his father Lyle and one sister.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel, Spearfish.
Mary Jane Hardin
Mary Jan Hardin, 83, Rapid City, died at the Rapid City Regional Hospital Saturday, March 5, 2005.
She was born Nov. 8, 1921, at Aberdeen, the daughter of G.H. and Anna Ryan. She moved with her family to Deadwood as a child and graduated from high school at Deadwood. She married
Charles P. Hardin on Aug. 14, 1941, at Arlington, Va. Her husband was a career officer in the Air Force and as a result the family lived in numerous areas of the United States as well as living overseas. The family moved to Rapid City in 1958. She was employed in the business office of the Rapid City Public School system as office manager for a time. She enjoyed traveling and fishing and was very active in her church.
Survivors include two sons, Alan Hardin and wife Nancy of Spearfish, and Jerry Hardin and wife Judy of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a brother Larry Ryan, Deadwood; a sister, Kathryn Crosby, Rapid City, a special niece, Jane Nemecek, Rapid City; six grandchildren, Larry Hardin and his wife Pat, Spearfish, Todd Hardin and his wife Laurie, Waunakee, Wis., Chad Hardin, Spearfish, Julie Hardin Hirsch and her husband Chris, Joy Capo and her husband Jimmy, and Jill Boomhower and her husband Greg, all of Florida; 11 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, at Osheim-Catron Funeral Home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church with the Rev. Kathy Monson Lutes officiating.
Interment will be at the Black Hills National cemetery. A memorial has been established for St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
Alice L. Wilson
Memorial Service for Alice L. Wilson, 81, Deadwood and formerly of Aberdeen, is 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2005, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Aberdeen. Pastors John Farden and Jais Tinglund officiating. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen. Alice died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Northern Hills General Hospital in Deadwood. Spitzer Funeral Home, 320 Sixth Ave. S.E., is in charge of arrangements. Alice was born March 4, 1924, at Hosmer, S.D., to Edward and Anna (Job) Albrecht. She grew up in the Leola-Wetonka area. She married
Richard Clinton Wilson in Aberdeen. They made their home in Wetonka for a short time before moving to Aberdeen. She worked at the Kresge Store and at Artz Camera Supply Store for many years. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and playing cards. Alice was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Deadwood and was a charter member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, S.D. Willo M. Heairet
Willo M. Heairet, 80, Spearfish and formerly of Buffalo, died Saturday, April 2, in Spearfish.
Willo Marie Henderson was born on Dec. 15, 1924 at Deadwood, to Harry and Jessie (Johnson) Henderson. She grew up and spent her whole life in Harding County. She attended country school and graduated from Buffalo High School in 1943. Willo was married
to Bud Heairet in November 1942. Bud served in the military during World War II and following his return to Harding County they purchased their ranch. Willow and Bud ranched until 1995. Willo went to work at the Buffalo Hardware store after the country school closed so that the kids could attend school in Buffalo. She later worked at the Post Office for 13 years.
Willo was an active member Eastern Star; an assistant leader and leader of the Kactus Kids 4-H club she loved her pretty work, knitting and crocheting.
Willo is survived by one son, Mark and Vicki Heairet of Buffalo, S.D.; two daughters, Donna and Kenny Bachand of Hastings, Okla.; and Susan Bachand of Casper, Wyo.; one sister, Dolly Mitchell of Buffalo, S.D.; her grandchildren, Jay, Tim, Reed, Jessie, Dennis, Jodie, Tanya, Tracie and Trampus; 10 great grandchildren.
Her Husband, Bud; parents, one daughter, Nikki; an infant granddaughter and one brother preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the Harding County Rec Center in Buffalo from noon until the time of services.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Harding County Rec Center in Buffalo, S.D. with Pastors Layne and Barb Lindeberg officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo cemetery. The Carlsen & Aldinger Funeral Home of Spearfish has been entrusted with arrangements.
A memorial has been established.
Neva A. Olsen Talley
Neva A. Olsen Talley, 79, of Faith, S.D. died Monday, April 4, 2005 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Faith. Pastor Wayne Olson will officiate and burial will follow at the Faith cemetery.
Visitations will be from 1 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 7 at the Faith Area Memorial Chapel and one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday morning. A prayer service will be held Thursday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
Neva Forrester was born Nov. 30, 1925 to Eldafanso Beltran and Mary (Daugherty) Forrester at Opal, S.D. She grew up in the Opal area where her family had a ranch. She graduated from Faith High School in 1943. Neva worked as a clerk at Kelly's Super Value in Faith for four years. She married
Edgar Olsen on July 23, 1947 at Billings, Mont. To this union, four children were born, Erling, Erdean, Eylene and Elaine who passed away at birth. They ranched in the Faith, Red Elm and Dupree areas until 1969 when they purchased the Coast-to-Coast store in Belle Fourche. She and her husband operated the store until Jan. 1, 1977 when they retired. They stayed in Belle Fourche for several years wintering for three years in Arizona. Edgar passed away on April 4, 1981. Neva returned to Faith building a home there in 1983. Neva married
Bob Talley June 12, 1987 and they lived in the Opal and Faith area. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Faith. She was active in the Ziebach County Republican Party, Belle Fourche Chamber of Commerce, Bethel Ladies Aid, Faith Ladies Medical Assn, Red Elm School Board, Extension Clubs and was a Cub Scout Den Mother and active 4-H parent.
Having been blessed in sharing Neva's life are Bob Talley, Dorsett Health Care Center, Spearfish, her three children, Erling and Linda Olsen, Dupree, and children, Monica and Andy Coyle, Minneapolis, Minn., and Lee Olsen, Dupree; Erdean and Verna Olsen, Black Hawk, and children Bret and Jeannie Clark, and children, Kaylee and Kolter, Box Elder, and Travis Clark and Amy DeTienne and son Kaden, Black Hawk; Eylene and Randall Macy, Belle Fourche, and children, Eric Macy, Tempe, Ariz. and Marc Macy, Belle Fourche, stepchildren, Dawn and Jim Fogleman, Gillette, Wyo., Robin and Ron Ballmer, Odem, Texas, Lynette and Allistair Wilson, Australia and their families. Brother-in-law, Einar and Aletha Olsen, Spearfish, sister-in-laws, Vivian Isane and Helen Sarver, Rapid City, Thelma Childers, Shoreline, Wash.. Brothers-in-law Harvey and Doris Talley, Spearfish, Allen and Ellen Talley, Faith, sisters-in-law Thelma and Buck Healey, Rapid City and Arlene and Lyle Beebe, Diamondville, WY and numerous nieces and nephews.
Neva's first husband, Edgar, twin daughter, Elaine, her parents, three brothers, Olin and Nina Forrester, Glen and Edna Forrester, George Forrester, and her sister, Vera, preceded her in death. Neva will be lovingly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers or plants, a memorial has been established to Bethel Lutheran Church
James Glenn Enderby
James Glenn Enderby was taken to the Lord on March 31, 2005, after internal organ failure as a result of a massive stroke suffered in February 2005. Jim was born on October 18, 1948 to Robert "Whitey" and Gussie "Osborne" Enderby. Jim attended school in the Lead school district graduating with the class of 1965 from Lead High School. Jim married
Julie Geffre in April of 1968. During this time he worked for Homestake Mining Company until 1975 when he began working with the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) in Knoxville, Tennessee, and Denver, Colo. Jim and Julie parted ways in March of 1986. Jim retired from service in the army National Guard in 1991 as a Sergeant First Class after 26 years as a Food Service Supervisor. He loved to play golf almost daily and enjoyed the outdoors.
Jim is survived by his daughter Shanon (Dan) Morrison of Lead, son James "Jimmy" (and girlfriend Tasha and son Tha) of Fayetteville, N.C. Three brothers Robert "Bob" (Vicki) of Dunlap, Ill., William "Bill" (Shirley) Of Hemet, Calif., Osborne "Ozzie" (Cathy) of Orange, Calif., one sister Susan (Tim) Szutz of Fairmont, Minn., three grandchildren Kyle, Makayla, and Tyler of Lead, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jim is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Holly Jean.
Victor J. Toscana
Victor J. Toscana, 89, of St. Croix Falls, Wisc. died at his home on Deer Lake on March 20, 2005, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Lead, on July 3, 1915. He worked in the Homestake Gold Mine and graduated from Lead High School with the Class of 1933. He later attended the U of M, where he met and married
Marjorie Miesen on Oct. 10, 1940. They lived in St. Paul, Minn., until moving to their lake place on Deer Lake in 1964. He spent most of his life in insurance sales, and was the owner of the Weymouth Insurance Agency for 20 years until he retired.
He was an active member of the community, serving as Chamber of Commerce president for several years and chairman of Wannigan Days parade for 17 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Toscana; mother, Eleanora Julius Toscana; brothers, Frank Toscana and Pete Crestodina; sisters, Noda Silva and Antionette Eilers; wife, Marjorie; son, Gary Toscana; and grandson, Gary.
He is survived by his daughters, Andi (Art) Dickson of Roseville, Minn., Eleanor Schumacher of Houston, Texas, and Vicki Clark of St. Croix Falls; sister, Amelia Brogan of Calif.; 10 grandchildren, Jeff, Teri, Zoanne, Joe, Eric, Jacki, Patti, Rodney, Leah, Justin; 11 great-grandchildren, Amiee, Zoey, Ashlee, Danielle, Cameron, Nicholas, Emmee, Amber, Lauren, Megan, Koko; special family members Lucy Palm and Margo; many nieces and nephews including Francis Toscana and Mary Sjomeling of Deadwood, Andre Silva of Lead; and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held at Edling Funeral Home in St. Croix Falls on April 2.

Marjorie A. Mathers
Marjorie A. Mathers, 83, died peacefully Sunday, May 2, 2004, at home in Spearfish, SD.
Funeral services for Marjorie will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel, Spearfish. Burial will be at Masonic Memorial Gardens, Reno, Nev.
A Memorial has been established for Hospice of the Northern Hills.
Marjorie was born July 13, 1920, in Farmington, New Mexico, to Whitney and Anna Edith (Whittecar) Pittman. She was raised in Durango and Colorado Springs, Colo., where she graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1938. Marjorie was an accomplished athlete in the early days of women's sports. She won her high school Girls' Athletic Association Cup, setting a new record. She was Worthy Advisor and a Colorado State Officer of Rainbow Girls and was awarded the Grand Cross of Colors. She attended Colorado State Teachers College in Greeley, Colo., and was a member of the Pi Kappa Sigma Sorority.
She married
Rodney "Harold" Mathers in Colorado Springs, on Feb. 7, 1943. After WWII, they moved to Pasadena, Calif., where she worked for University of Southern California in accounting. She later was an independent contractor for the then high-tech firm of Remington Rand, helping many companies change from hand to machine bookkeeping. During that time she had her two children, Steven and Carol Mathers. The family moved to Carmichael, Calif., Lake Tahoe, Nev., and Carson City, Nev. She graduated from LaSalle University of Interior Decorating and did interior decorating for several years.
She later lived in Reno, Nev., Rapid City and Spearfish, where she spent the last six months of her life under the loving care of family and Hospice of the Northern Hills.
Marjorie was a member of Order of Easter Star and Lions.
Marjorie enjoyed swimming, hiking, bowling, bridge, and other games with friends and family.
She is survived by her son Steven and wife Merry Mathers, Reno, Nev.; her daughter Carol and husband Tom Erlandson; five grandchildren-Tyler and Lindsay Mathers and Jason Hansen, all Reno, NV; Eric and wife Michelle Erlandson, Rapid City, SD; and Evan Erlandson, Spearfish; one great grandchild, Lexiana Erlandson, Rapid City; one niece Shirley (Boyd) Shurtleff, Austin, Texas; one nephew Kenneth Mathers Jr.; and one cousin Donnie Ritchie, Greeley, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Whitney and Anna Pittman, and her husband Rodney "Harold" Mathers.

Leon Henry Reinecke
Leon Henry Reinecke, 73, Billings, Mont. and formerly of Beulah, Wyo. passed away at Valley Health Care in Billings, Mont. on April 15, 2005.
Leon was born on the family ranch near Beulah, Wyo. on Sept. 7, 1931 to Emerald and Elaine Reinecke. He graduated from high school in Spearfish, at 16 and went on to attain a BS degree in Agricultural Engineering from South Dakota State University. He married
Eleanor (Crabbe) in Belle Fourche, on Sept. 7, 1952. They made their home at the Reinecke Ox Yoke Ranch in Beulah, Wyo. They moved to Laramie, Wyo. in 1964 and Leon attended the University of Wyoming attaining a Masters degree in Industrial Management. He was employed by Humble Oil, which took them to Lisle, Ill. for a year and then to Billings, Mont. After leaving Humble Oil, he worked for Mosler Security Systems, owned and managed Billings Tank and was Vice President and General Manager for Beall, Inc before retiring in 1982.
Leon cared deeply about education, serving on the Governor's committee on education for the State of Wyoming in 1964. His talents were evident in his wood working abilities and wrought iron creations. He enjoyed flying for many years after obtaining his private pilot's license. He was an avid gardener and loved baking bread and trying recipes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor; daughter Kathleen of West Fargo and her children Randy and Leah Griffeth; sister Sylvia (Richard) Wederquist of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Nancy (John) Julian of Phoenix, Ariz.; Gene (Kathy Clarkson) of Beulah, Wyo.; brother-in-law Don (Sharon) Crabbe of Helena, Mont.; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Howard, and son Randall.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 from 2-6 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish, on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at 2 p.m.. with the Rev. Kip Roozen officiating, burial will follow at the Beulah cemetery.
Memorials may be given in Leon's name to a charity of choice.

Bonnie Jean(Jewett) Cole
Bonnie Jean Jewett was born Nov. 25, 1923, to Oliver and Verla (Halstead) Jewett on a ranch south of Isabel. Later the family moved to Isabel where Bonnie attended school and graduated in 1941 from Isabel High School. She then attended Nettleton Commercial College in Sioux Falls. Her first job was with the Investigations Division of the CSC in Washington D.C. After two years she went to work at the War Department in Fort Dix, N.J.
Following the war Bonnie returned to South Dakota and in 1946 married
Bentley Lewis Holt. On Oct. 10, 1947, a son was born and they purchased a ranch 22 miles south of Isabel. In 1957 Bonnie went to work for the S.D. State Department of Highways at the Isabel office. In 1961 the Holts moved to Belle Fourche so Thomas could attend high school. On Aug. 28, 1968, Bonnie married
Robert W. Cole. They moved to Phoenix, Ariz., where Thomas was attending Arizona State University. Bob had previously worked in Vietnam and accepted another job there. Bonnie joined him in Saigon in May of 1970. They stayed there until the fall of 1971 when they moved to Bangkok, Thailand, where they lived for three years. Next they went to Tehran, Iran, where they lived for five years until the Shah left and Ayatollah Khomeni took control of the country. They were evacuated from Iran in February of 1979 and returned to the states to buy a home in Mesa, Ariz. Bob accepted a job in Saudi Arabia in 1980. Bonnie joined him later in Jeddah where they lived for five years. For a short time they returned to Mesa and Bob was offered a five-year contract in Huntsville, Ala. When that was completed they returned to Mesa to retire and enjoy their home.
During overseas travel Bonnie held several jobs. In Vietnam she was the secretary for a trucking company, In Bangkok she was the secretary for the Manager of Silk of Siam and also managed the Mail Order Department. When Silk of Siam closed she worked for the U.S. Military AUTOVON. In Iran Bonnie worked for the Imperial Iranian Air Force until they requested to hold her passport. Bonnie would not release her passport so resigned and accepted a job with Bell Helicopter International where her husband, Bob worked. She was administrative assistant to the Managing Director. In Saudi Bonnie worked for You-One Construction Company ( a Korean firm) where she was their consultant and technician. She also taught an English class.
During her later years Bonnie came to know the Lord, Jesus. She trusted his guidance as aspired to share his love with others. She admitted that she had lived a good life and was thankful for all her experiences and blessings. She died peacefully in Mesa on Jan. 13, 2005.
