WINNER - Debra Jean Kahler, 42, Winner, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at Winner Regional Healthcare Center.
Survivors include her husband, David Kahler Sr., Winner; three daughters, Donna Olson, Dana Clairmont and Desirae Kahler, all of Winner; one son, David Kahler Jr., Winner; her parents, Bill and Gerry Mitchell, Rifle, Colo.; five brothers, Butch Mitchell and Bill Mitchell Jr., both of Silt, Colo., John Mitchell and Jack Mitchell, both of Rifle, and Donnie Mitchell, Grand Junction, Colo.; one sister, Karen Anglin, Yankton; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be for one hour before services, which will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at United Methodist Church in Winner.
Burial will be at Winner Cemetery.

George C. Groeneveld
MESA, Ariz. - George C. Groeneveld, 83, Mesa and formerly of Rapid City, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, in Mesa.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen Groeneveld; one son, Marv Groeneveld; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Mariposa Gardens Chapel in Mesa.
Mesa Funeral Care is in charge of arrangements.
Brianne Lynn Drapeau
RAPID CITY - Brianne Lynn Drapeau, 21, left this earth to be with God on January 6, 2002. She will be missed by many. She was born March 1, 1980, in Rapid City.
Those that loved her most, her parents, Victor and Beverly Drapeau; grandfather, Bennie Zoss, uncles Roger, Dennis and Chris Zoss, Babe Drapeau; aunts, Brenda Moring, Kirby Zoss, Susan and Kevin Nelson, Norma and Bill Zoss, Cindy and Dave Majerus, Judy Pena, Linda Zephier, Betty and Mona Drapeau, and Audrey Faith, along with numerous cousins and friends.
She will be joining in heaven her grandmother Valerie Ree, grandmother Jeanette Drapeau, and grandfather Fred Drapeau.
Brianne lived most of her life in Rapid City and lived it to the fullest.
Viewing will be at noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Kirk Funeral Home.
A wake will be held Thursday evening, Jan. 10, at the American Legion Hall in Wagner.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Wagner, with the Rev. Conrad Ciesel officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Presbyterian Cemetery in Pickstown.

Evert G. Fletcher
RELIANCE - Evert G. Fletcher, 87, Reliance, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, at his daughter's home in Reliance.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Fletcher, Lennox, and Steve Fletcher, Renner; four daughters, Marjo Crain, Brookings, Patty Weber, Pasadena, Calif., Penny Marsh and Lori Marsh, both of Reliance; four brothers, Cliff Fletcher, Alliance, Neb., Laurel Fletcher, Tucson, Ariz., Dick Fletcher, Houston, and Larry Fletcher, St. Paul, Minn.; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Wevik Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at United Methodist Church in Reliance, with the Rev. Stephen Perry officiating. Burial will be at Reliance Cemetery
Rebecca Frazier
BUFFALO - Rebecca Frazier, 92, Buffalo, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, at Johnson County Healthcare Center in Buffalo.
Survivors include two nieces, Katherine Ray, San Francisco, and Elizabeth Gocke, Boston.
Services were held Dec. 21 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Buffalo. Burial was at Willow Grove Cemetery.
Phyllis Nye
RAPID CITY - Phyllis Nye, 73, Rapid City, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Elden Nye, Fort Meade; one daughter, Kathy Keffeler, Rapid City; one brother, William Fox, Chamberlain; and two grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending with Kirk Funeral Home of Rapid City.
Mary Ellen Finnegan
RAPID CITY - Mary Ellen Finnegan, 88, Rapid City, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, at her residence.
Mary Ellen was born Feb. 28, 1913, at Ordway, S.D., the daughter of James M. and Agnes A. (Burns) McNeary. She moved with her family at the age of 6 years, to Aberdeen, S.D., and attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Central High School, graduating in 1931. She attended Aberdeen Business College and was employed in the Aberdeen area prior to her marriage to F. Bernard Finnegan in 1943. The couple was married at the Sacred Heart Church in Aberdeen. They moved to Rapid City in 1959.
She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the Altar Society at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Rita's and St. Bernadette's Study Clubs and Catholic Daughters of America.
She enjoyed flower gardening, playing bridge, and writing poetry. She also loved music and loved to play the piano.
Survivors include her husband, F. Bernard Finnegan, Rapid City; two sons, Jim Finnegan and his wife, Jeanne, and the Reverend Terence Finnegan, all of Phoenix; a daughter, Mary Agnes Weeldreyer and her husband, Steven, Appleton, Wis.; grandchildren, James, Dan, John and Ann Finnegan, and Michael, Ellen, and Kathleen Weeldreyer; a brother, Edward McNeary and his wife, Carol, Hastings, Minn.; and a sister-in-law, Melva McNeary, Sun Prairie, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Elmer Sundem; and her brother, James McNeary.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Osheim-Catron Funeral Home. A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, with the Rev. Brian Christensen as celebrant.
Interment will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
Floyd I. Phillips
SPEARFISH - Floyd I. Phillips, 87, Spearfish, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, in Spearfish.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Phillips, Spearfish; five grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Carlsen & Aldinger Funeral Home in Spearfish, with the Rev. Kip Roozen officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Katherine Lee Munday
GEORGETOWN, Texas - Katherine Lee Munday, 91, Georgetown, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at Georgetown.
Survivors include one son, Jack Lee Munday, Dallas; three daughters, Janice Berndt, Maple Grove, Minn., Carolyn Chapman, Georgetown, and Mary Dybdahl, San Carlos, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 11, at the chapel at Pine Lawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Layne Nelson officiating. Burial will be at Pine Lawn Cemetery.

Evelyn J. Flasted Wibmer
LEAD - Evelyn J. Flasted Wibmer, 88, Lead, died Jan. 4, 2002, at Kirkwood Manor, Pluma.
Rosary services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lead. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lead, with Fr. William Zandri as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Deadwood. Visitation will be at the church between the rosary service and Mass.
Evelyn J. Flasted was born April 25, 1913, in Ekalaka, Mont., to Ole and Creta (Sutton) Flasted. She grew up in Pineiele, Mont., and graduated from Deadwood High School. In 1936, Evelyn married Louis F. Wibmer, and they made their home in the Lead area. She was a homemaker, and she took pride in her cooking, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She was active in the Moose Lodge ,and she enjoyed traveling and taking care of her grandchildren.
Grateful for having shared in Evelyn's life are one son, Vincent Wibmer, Lead; one daughter, Carolyn (Mrs. Jerry) Boortz, Butler, Ga.; one brother, Everette (and Jean) Flasted, Alzada, Mont.; two granddaughters, Kimberly Lindsey, Sharon, Conn., and Katherine Gibson, Macon, Ga.; one grandson, Kevin Boortz, Springdale, Ark.; five great-grandchildren, Jayme Kay and Robynne Lindsey, Candler, Gracie and Mattie Boortz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Lowell and Merle Flasted; and three sisters, Hazelle Johnson, LaVerne Sanders, and Beverly Wright.
A memorial has been established for the Twin City Animal Shelter, Lead.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Fidler Funeral Chapel of Lead.

Darwin Charles Corliss
BELLE FOURCHE - Darwin Charles Corliss, 38, Belle Fourche, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, at home.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Judy and David Morris, Belle Fourche; his father, Rex Corliss Sr., Benton City, Wash.; his wife, Eveline Corliss, Belle Fourche; four children, Sandra Corliss, Eric Corliss, David Dean Corliss, and Jossie Corliss, all of Belle Fourche; three brothers, Rex Corliss, Belle Fourche, Kenny Corliss, Madison, and Joe Corliss, Elko, Nev.; five sisters, Kelly Stephens, Dana Morris, and Dadra Avery Morris, all of Belle Fourche, Ramona Hunt, Sturgis, and Sheila Allen,Cozad, Neb.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1982 to 1986.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Kline-Frost Funeral Chapel in Belle Fourche.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Christian Life Center in Belle Fourche, with the Rev. Paul Howard officiating. Burial will be at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.
Theodore Tibbitts
MANDERSON - Theodore Tibbitts, 85, Manderson, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Tibbitts, Manderson; three sons, Alwin Tibbitts, Hot Springs, William Tibbitts, Washington, D.C., and Donnie Tibbitts, Manderson; three sisters, Eileen Jelovich, Aberdeen, Wash., Eleanor Jelovich, Hoquiam, Wash., and Bea McLaughlin, Showlow, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
A wake service will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Mother Butler Center in Rapid City, with a rosary at 7 p.m.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Mother Butler Center, with the Rev.. Pat McCorkell S.J. officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis with full military honors.
Kirk Funeral Home of Rapid City is in charge of arrangements.
