Gloria was born
June 22, 1934, in Los Angeles, CA, to Isador and Laura (Munoz) Colomo. She married
Angel Martinez in California on June 25, 1955.
She is survived by one son, Angel Martinez, California; two daughters, Carmen C. Martinez, California, and Angela Pepe, New York; twelve grandchildren, Tony, Laura Marie, Marcello, Marcela, Spirit, Skye, Steve, Dominique, Angel Jr., Austin, Monique, and Thomas; twelve great-grandchildren, Myeeha, Angel D., Ramon, Alexandra, Trey, Anthony, Alizẽ, Martin, Attila, Arlecia, Rialy, and Brayden; two god children, Caroline and John; and one sister, Rose Colomo, California.
She was preceded in death
by her parents; her husband in 1981; and one son, Michael.
Harley James Helsing

on July 15, 2011. He was born
in Ladysmith, WI, to Leota (Statton) and John Helsing on August 31, 1943. Harley was married
to Evelyn Maureen Pettit in Pine City, MN, August 13, 1961. They divorced
August 31, 1990. In that union of marriage they bore 4 children; John James Helsing (Lina), Beaumont, CA, Charlotte Faith Labanske, Reedsburg, WI, Dale Arthur Helsing, Elko, NV, and Linda Rae Herndon (Rick), Lyndon Station, WI; seven grandchildren, Christine, Deirdrie, Johnny, Chad, Trenton, Jolina, and Joanna.
Harley married
Melody Lynn Shoop on September 29, 1990, in Lead, SD. They lived in St. Onge.
As a young man, Harley worked in the woods. He worked construction most of his life working for Summit, Oftedal, and Del Hur Construction Companies. Harley retired in June of 2006. Harley was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved being outdoors. He loved playing pranks on people, being with family and friends, and having good times. He left a lasting impression with all he met. Harley was an awesome husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be missed dearly.
Harley is preceded in death
by his parents Leota and John Helsing, and a brother, Larry Helsing.
A celebration of life will be held on August 20, 2011, at the Casino Bar in Central City, SD. Food will be served starting at noon with celebration to follow.
Also, a celebration of life will be held, August 27, 2011, at Patti's Bar in Winter, WI. Food will be served starting at noon with celebration to follow.

Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Sturgis Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be noon until 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with the family present from 5 until 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis with Rev. Denzel Nonhof officiating. Burial
follows at the Black Hills National Cemetery
near Sturgis.
Eula was born
August 15, 1926 at Vale, SD, to Max and Mae (Jenks) Wetz. She attended school in Vale and attended Black Hills Teachers College in Spearfish before teaching at the Wetz school for a few years.
She married
William Dale Mailloux at Sturgis on July 28, 1946. They lived in the Black Hills area and moved to Grand Forks, ND.
Eula attended AVTI in East Grand Forks, MN, and worked for a savings and loan association. She also attended a business college in Grand Forks. She was employed with the North Dakota Geological Survey on the UND Campus. In 1989, She transferred to Bismarck with the ND Geological Survey where she retired in 1994.
Eula was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, a member of the Square, Round and Line Dancers, an RSVP Volunteer. She taught bible school and Sunday school at the Sturgis First Presbyterian Church for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bismarck.
Survivors include her son Darwin (Judy) Mailloux, Rockerville; daughters, Sharon (Ken) Dyer, Snowflake, AZ, Misty Crandell, Peoria Heights, IL; also 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, her husband Dale in 2010 and her brother Oliver Wetz and son in law, Ron Crandell.

Mary Margaret Reeve, 85, Opal, died
Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at the Forget Me Not Health Care Center in Florence, CO.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Opal Community Church near Opal, SD, with Pastor Sam Cowles officiating. Burial
follows at the Opal Cemetery.
Memorials have been established to the Opal Community Church and the Cedar Canyon Bible Camp.
Mary was born
August 12, 1925 at Cody, NE, to Oscar and Katherine (Anslie) Andrews. She grew up on the family ranch and attended all 12 years of school in Cody. After graduation she moved to Lincoln, NE, to work at the state capitol.
On November 14, 1948 she married
Lisle Reeve at Cody, NE. The couple made their home on the family ranch near Opal for many years.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Lisle Reeve, Opal; sons, Steven (Vicky) Reeve, Montrose, CO, Mike Reeve, Opal; daughters, Linda (Bill) Farnum, Champaign, IL, Marjorie (Allen) Hartwell, Rapid City; brothers, Cecil (Betty) Andrews, Wisconsin, Joe Andrews, Longmont, CO; also 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, step father, one son, Dennis and two brothers, Raymond and Rex.

Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Sturgis Regional Senior Care Center.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from Noon until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will take place Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Sturgis with Father Bob Baden officiating. Burial
will follow at Black Hill National Cemetery
near Sturgis.
Johanna was born
at Hague, ND on October 31, 1912, to George and Elizabeth (Zahn) Schell. She grew up with nine brothers and sisters in the Meadow area in SD and graduated from Lemmon High School. For many years, she worked as a chef in the Mint Café in Deadwood, SD. She also lived in Brownsville, TX for over 20 years.
She was married
to Raymond W. Rasmussen at Bexar County, TX, on April 20, 1970. He preceded her in death
in 1976.
She was an active member of the Hospital Auxiliary of Brownsville and also a member of the Meade County Senior Citizens in Sturgis. She was also a member of the St. Francis of Assisi parish.
Survivors include her son, Bob (Betty) Reznicek of Rapid City; two daughters, Dorothy Baker of Sturgis and Josephine (Bert) Carlevato of Chino Hills, CA; step-daughter, Esther Connelly of Minneapolis, MN; step-son, Ray Rasmussen of Albuquerque, NM; one sister Betty Willey of Hays, KS; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by both parents; her husband; son Marvin Reznicek; two brothers and six sisters.
John A. Bell

John Augustus Bell, 86, Edgemont, died
Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Dept. of Veteran's Affairs, Fort Meade.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Little White Church in Hills City with Pastor Ron Walker officiating. A second service will be offered at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion, SD with Pastor Trisha Boese officiating. Burial
follows at the Bluff View Cemetery
in Vermillion with military honors.
John was born
March 29, 1925 at Cut Hand, Texas, to Gus and Katie (Alexander) Bell. John had fond memories of his great grandfather. He was a Texas Ranger and Confederate Civil War Veterans. John's other great grandfather was a Union Civil War Veteran.
John married
Franklyn Bessie Block at Morristown, SD on September 24, 1949. The couple lived in Vermillion where John was employed by the University.
John loved the outdoors. He spent most of the warm weather checking throw lines and hoops nets on the Missouri River. He and Buster Moore bought a deep fat fryer and had fish fries at local bars and for groups of friends. He liked fishing at Roy Lake and trolling below Gavin's Point Dam all night for Walleye, then trout fishing in the lakes and ponds of the Black Hills. He also enjoyed deer hunting in the "Hills". He also enjoyed working in the garden and yardwork.
John served his country honorably with the 8th Air Force, 351st Bomb Group as a radio operator on B-17 heavy bomber during World War II from 1943 until 1945. He also served in the US Navy from 1946 until 1948.
He was a life time member of the VFW, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, National Rifle Association, and a 25 year member of the Vermillion, SD, Volunteer Fire Department, former Texas Rangers Association, sons of Confederate Veterans, and a charter member of the Black Hills Good Time German Club. He enjoyed polka music and attended and helped in every festival for the last 21 years.
Survivors include his wife Bessie Bell, Edgemont; son Steven (Nancy) Bell, Vermillion; daughters, Jerri (Dave Walsh) Balke, South Sioux City, NE, Cathy Bell, Edgemont; half brother, Gene (Barbara) Hoag, Vermillion; half sister, Helen (Ernie) Metz, Yankton; also four grandchildren grandchildren Brenda (Bart) Gawlikowski, Brian Balke, Laura Bell, Joshua Bell; and great grandchild Ava Gawlikowski; also brothers in law, Nick (Della) Block, Jack (Linda) Block; sisters in law, Peggy Block Koch, Patricia "Patsy" Block Mollman, Georgia (Richard) Block Makens, Inez Block Locken.
He was preceded in death
by his parents, mother and father in law, three brothers in law.
Delmar Vincent Green

Delmar Vincent Green passed on to Heaven July 12, 2011, in Cottonwood, AZ.
He was born
in Rapid City, SD, on November 22, 1931, to Chauncey and Erma (Conklin) Green. Del was married
to the love of his life, Garnet Jean Grotrud, on November 23, 1950, in Sturgis, SD. Del moved his family to Superior, AZ, in 1968 where he taught High School. In 1991, Del and Garnet moved to Camp Verde, AZ, where he worked for the Prescott National Forest Service.
He is survived by his wife, Garnet; four children, David (Shari) Green, Gail (Hal) Richardson, Joann Green, and Owen Green; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren, with one due on Del’s coming birthday; a brother Donald (Colleen) Green, a sister Chauncine (Tom) Clausen.
Graveside services will be held at the Whitewood Cemetery
on Thursday July 21, 2011, at 10:00a.m. A memorial service will be held at the Verde Ranger Station Prescott National Forest Service, 300 E Hwy 260, Camp Verde, AZ, on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at 1:00 p.m.

April 24, 1932 at Bismarck, ND, to Christ and Katie (Rohrback) Schumaker. She attended country school in the Arpan area. After completing her education she worked at the hospital in Belle Fourche.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Leo Tammi, Sturgis; two daughters, Diana Hobbs, Lead, Doris (Doug) Roger, Richards, TX; two sons, David (Marla) Tammi, Sturgis, Daniel (Trishelle) Tammi, Sturgis; one brother, Oliver Schumaker, Salem, SD; five sisters, Helen LeLaCheur, Sturgis, Alice Walthall, Sturgis, Edna Cox, Sturgis, Joann Pope, Ashford, AL and Hazel Brink, Sturgis; also 20 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, one brother, Rudolph, one sister, Delores, and an infant brother and sister.

Ruth Elizabeth (Wilson) Kittelman, 97, of Good Samaritan Center, New Underwood, SD, was granted her angel wings July 6, 2011.

Ruth was born
January 19, 1914, in Pedro, SD, to Bill and Anna (Rosenkrauz) Wilson. She wed Carl Herman Kittelman on April 22, 1934, in Deadwood, SD.
She leaves to mourn her legacy two daughters, Annette (Roger) Pryor, Rapid City, and Carleen (Ralph) Greslin, Piedmont; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death
by her husband, Carl; her parents, Bill and Anna Wilson; one sister, Fran Hoffman; and one brother, Jim Wilson.

Vernon Eugene Mann

Vernon Eugene Mann, 88, a Hot Springs, SD, resident, residing at South Dakota State Veterans Home, died
Monday, July 4, 2011.
Vernon was born
October 31, 1922, at Colome, SD, to Jesse and Olive Mann. He grew up on a ranch near Dog Ear Lake, a short distance from Winner, SD. He attended rural schools and High School at Winner, SD.
He served in the U. S. Navy from 1942 to 1945 as a Pharmacist's Mate 3rd Class and served overseas as a combat medic with the 1st Battalion, 11th Marine, 1st Marine Division.
On December 14, 1946, Vernon married
his high school sweetheart, Betty "Bea" Pelkey at Valentine, NE. They lived on a ranch at Dog Ear Lake in the Winner area until 1957 when they moved to Hot Springs, SD, where he worked as Administrative Assistant in Domiciliary Operation for the Veterans Administration Center until he retired for medical reasons in 1981.
Vernon loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, and caring for his many beautiful roses.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Betty "Bea"; son, Terry, and wife, Anita; three grandsons and their wives; three great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; one step-grandson, his wife, and two children; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death
by an infant daughter; his parents, Jesse and Olive Mann; brother, Arlo; and three sisters, Athelda and Velma Campbell and Vivian Holechek.
At his request, cremation is planned with burial
taking place at Black Hills National Cemetery
at a later date.
Eddie Klein

Edward L. "Eddie" Klein, 70, Sturgis, died
Sunday, July 3, 2011, at Sturgis Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be Thursday from noon to 5:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.
A vigil will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian burial

will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery
with military honors provided by the Sturgis Veteran's Honor Guard.
Eddie was born
on the family farm November 27, 1940, near Newell, SD, to Joseph and Lena (Werlinger) Klein. He graduated from Newell High School. Eddie was drafted and served in the US Army from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1965. He returned to Newell where he worked at a local filling station.
Eddie married
Virginia Castonguay in Spearfish on January 29, 1966. He worked as a Delivery Milkman for Brown Swiss Dairy. They moved to Sturgis and Eddie continued the milk route. Eddie worked as the manager of the Sturgis Vet's Club. He worked at Jacobsen Ford from 1976 until 1990. Later, Eddie worked at the Meade County Courthouse in the maintenance and custodial department. He retired in 2003.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and was an Honorary 4th Degree, Columbian Council 6341 Knights of Columbus. Eddie was also a member of the Fount of Misinformation coffee club at McDonalds.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Klein, Sturgis; four sons, Jerome (Ann) Klein, Gillette, WY, Philip (Lurlene) Klein, Sioux Falls, SD, Eugene (Amy) Klein, Parker, CO, and Patrick (Crystal) Klein, Sioux Falls; three brothers, Mike Klein, Vancouver, WA, Allen Klein, Temple, OK, and Casmier (Rose) Klein, Bismarck, ND; three sisters, Cecelia Keller, Spearfish, Mary (John) Erk, Newell, and Regina McCoy, Browerville, MN; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death
by his parents; and two brothers, Valentine and Andy.
A memorial has been established to the restoration of the St. Martin's Chapel in Sturgis.
Lloyd R. Shepherd

Lloyd R. Shepherd, 82 of Hot Springs died
Monday, July 4, 2011 at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice Veterans Home in Hot Springs. Lloyd's cremated remains will be scattered near Hot Springs at a later date.
Lloyd was born
September 1, 1928 at Eltmont, SD to William R. and Gertrude (Oeffler) Shepherd.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry (Emily) Shepherd of Watertown and Larry (Melenie) Shepherd of Brookings; one daughter Linda Goethe; his children's mother Marie Shepherd of Watertown; six brothers, Donald of Florence, Raymond (Joan) of Elkton, William (Fran) of Clear Lake, Kenny (Karen) of Webster, Howard of Watertown and Leroy (Sue) Shepherd of Mercid, CA; and three sisters Dorothy Rosahiem of Rapid City, Laura Braach of Seattle, WA and Pauline (Bob) Engberg, Togiak, AK; and several grandchildren.
