Andy Hansen
NEWCASTLE, Wyo. - Prominent Wyoming banker Andy Hansen, 93, died
early Thursday, July 27, 2000, at the home of his son, Robert C. Hansen, in Fort Collins, Colo., after battling emphysema.
Born to Hans T. and Lydia Hansen, Danish homesteaders on the prairie north of Newcastle, Andy was highly regarded during a 50-year career in banking and retired as president of the First State Bank of Newcastle in 1974.
He married
Newcastle home-economics teacher Frances Emma Wormwood on Aug. 25, 1935, at her home in Glendo, Wyo., and was preceded by her in death
on Nov. 26, 1980. In addition to son Robert and his wife, Mary, he is survived by daughter Janice Hansen Erisman and her husband, David O., Cincinnati; son Russell A. and his wife, Carol Sue Oslund Hansen, Gillette, Wyo.; and a brother, Richard, and his wife, Pauline Hansen, Newcastle. They also enjoyed grandchildren Jason and Lisa Hansen, Fort Collins, John and Joel Erisman, Cincinnati, Mike and Megan Erisman Cleary, Ann Arbor, Mich.; great-grandchildren Andy and Emma Frances Hansen and numerous nieces and nephews. Also predeceased are a brother, Clarence Hansen, and wife, Juelle
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Worden Chapel in Newcastle.
Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at First United Methodist Church in Newcastle, with Dr. Robert Firebaugh officiating.

APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. - Berniece Marie Manning, 77, Apache Junction, and formerly of Rapid City, died
Thursday, July 27, 2000, at Mesa Lutheran Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Wise and Donna Dugger, both of Rapid City; two sisters, Vonnie Eschenbaum, Sacramento, Calif., and Alice Steinlighter, San Bernadino, Calif.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Behrens Mortuary in Rapid City. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Rapid City, with the Rev. Mike Hight as celebrant. Burial

RAPID CITY — Jean T. Gordon, 66, Rapid City, died
Saturday, July 29, 2000, at a local nursing home.
She is survived by her long-time companion, Lloyd Chercus, Rapid City; her son, John W. Gordon IV and his wife Kate, Rapid City; her daughter, Jean Root and her husband, Tony, Caputa; one sister, Elizabeth "Susie" N. Hall, Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Austin Murtha, John W. Gordon, V. Jason Gordon and Beth Gordon; and three great-grandchildren, Alec Gordon, Molly Gordon and Camron Gordon.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at First Presbyterian Church in Rapid City, with Dr. David Miller officiating. Burial
will follow at Mountain View Cemetery

Survivors include her parents, Greg Fritz and Beverly Crazy Thunder, both of Pine Ridge; one brother, Eric Crazy Thunder, Pine Ridge; and grandparents Frank and Erna Crazy Thunder of Pine Ridge and Kathy Fritz, Rapid City.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha Steely, Sturgis; two sons, Jake Steely Jr., Sturgis, and William Steely, Pierre; two daughters, Betty Steely, Pierre, and Rosella Teager, Fort Collins, Colo.; one stepson, Eldon Bigham, Fort Collins; one stepdaughter, Deborah Love, Hot Springs; one sister, Kathryn Neisent, Fort Collins; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren and one stepgreat-grandchild.

Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Survivors include one son, Anthony Waters, Pine Ridge; one daughter, Rosebud Red Horse, Pine Ridge; four brothers, Carl Elk Boy, Bishop, Calif., Winfred Elk Boy, Prairie Island, Minn.; Richard Elk Boy and Donroy Elk Boy, both of Pine Ridge; and five sisters, Mary Ann Red Cloud and Vera Bring Plenty, both of Pine Ridge, Marie Black Tail Deer, Red Wing, Minn., Lula Red Cloud, Hermosa, and Delia Bear Saves Life, Oglala.
Two-night wake services will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at Wakpamni CAP Building in Pine Ridge.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Wakpamni CAP Building with Floyd Hand officiating.

Monday, July 31, 2000, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
He was born
Feb. 27, 1994, at Rapid City, the son of Jon S. and Janice A. (Lancaster) Jolley.
Survivors include his father, Jon S. Jolley, Rapid City; four sisters, Alexa Jolley and Jade Jolley, both of Rapid City, Michel Tassler, Sioux Falls, and Morgan Tassler, Monroe, Neb.; one brother, Sean Tassler, Monroe; maternal grandmother, Janet Walker, Toronto, S.D.; paternal grandparents, Clint and Sandi Jolley, Rapid City; and great- grandparents, Dennis and Arlene Yohner, Harvey, N.D.
He was preceded in death
by his mother, Janice Jolley, in 1996.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Osheim-Catron Funeral Home, with family members present. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Black Hills National Cemetery
near Sturgis, with the Rev. Jeff Carlson officiating. Interment will be at Black Hills National Cemetery.
A Memorial Education Fund has been established for his brothers and sisters.
The funeral procession will depart from Osheim-Catron Funeral Home at about 9:50 a.m.

Survivors include his wife, Inez, Sturgis; four sons, Merle Windedahl, Whitewood, Verlin Windedahl, Rifle, Colo., and Jim Windedahl and Jerry Windedahl, both of Rapid City; three daughters, LaVonne Gravelle, Kellogg, Idaho, Shirley Christie, Yankton, and Marlys Beshara, Rapid City; one brother, Melvin Windedahl, Carthage; five sisters, Alma Sneesby, Bridgewater, Geneva Isaacson, Salem, Ore., Opal Sneesby, Carthage, Florence Carmon, Carthage, and Verna Bachman, Sioux Falls; 28 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
