The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bruce McMillan Sr. of Union. He is a graduate of Union High School and a cum laude graduate of Newberry College, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in communications. He is a member and former officer of Theta Chi Fraternity and is employed by Milliken and Company in Abbeville.
The wedding is planned for 7 p.m. June 8, 2002 at First Presbyterian Church.

SAEGERTOWN, Pa. — Mr. and Mrs. Seth McClymonds announce the engagement of their daughter, Renee McClymonds of Greenville, S.C., to Clint Jason Parks, also of Greenville.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Houghton College in Houghton, N.Y., where she received a bachelor of science degree in physical education. She is a fourth grade teacher in Greenville.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Claude and Deidre Parks of Greenwood. He is a graduate of North Greenville College, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in Christian studies. He is employed by AAA Supply as warehouse manager in Greenville.
The wedding is planned for July 5, 2002 in Simpsonville, S.C.

MCCORMICK — Mary Jennings announces the engagement of her daughter, Michelle Jennings of McCormick, to Kirk Smith of McCormick.
The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Mitch Jennings. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jennings of McCormick and JoAnn Hall of Washington, Ga. She is a 1996 graduate of McCormick High School and a 2000 graduate of Lander University. She is a second grade teacher at McCormick Elementary School.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Smith. He is the grandson of Ralph Deason of McCormick, the late Mrs. Deason, Mrs. Norman C. Smith of Saluda and the late Mr. Smith. He is a 1996 graduate of McCormick High School and a 2000 graduate of Lander University. He is a marketing manager at Savannah Lakes Village P.O.A. in McCormick.
The wedding is planned for 2 p.m. June 8, 2002 at Republican United Methodist Church.

Wedding music was presented by Amy Ricketts and Teresa McClain.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Ashley of Donalds. She is a graduate of Dixie High School and attended Lander University.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Danny R. Allen of Greenwood. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School and is employed by Lowe’s.
Kelly Hopkins and Kim McLaughlin, both of Greenwood and sisters of the bride, were matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were Tracey Allen, Stacy Wideman, Tonya Noffz and Wendy Slay, all of Greenwood, Jennifer Culbertson of Laurens, Monica McClain of Iva and Cayce Seawright of Donalds.
Savannah Wideman of Greenwood was flower girl.
The bride wore a gown of dulciana satin featuring a tip-of-the-shoulder neckline and a fitted bodice and A-line skirt that were accented with pearls and sequins.
She wore a rhinestone tiara attached to a semi-cathedral veil that was embellished with pearls and rhinestones.
Attendants wore full-length periwinkle gowns, featuring empire waistlines, sleeveless bodices and chiffon scarves.
Danny Allen of Greenwood was best man. Groomsmen were David Boozer, Corey Edwards Ray Edwards, Brian Noffz, Jeff Wideman and Ken Slay, all of Greenwood, Frankie Mabrey of Waterloo and Chris Starling of Clinton.
Will Hopkins and Jacob McLaughlin, both of Greenwood, were ringbearers.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at the church social hall.
After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will live in Greenwood.

ROSWELL, Ga. —Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brexel announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara Marie Brexel of Dunwoody, to Brandon Aishe Smith of Columbia, S.C.
The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of Roswell High School and a 2000 graduate of Furman University. She is employed in human resources at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Dewitt and Cindy Smith of Bella Vista, Ark. He is a 1997 graduate of Emerald High School, a 2001 graduate of Furman University and attends the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is employed by the Department of Social Services as a law clerk.

Vocalists Becky Nesbitt Lumsden, Meghan Lumsden and Melissa Lumsden and organist Kerri Martin Hall presented wedding music.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mauldin Boswell and Mr. and Mrs. William Michael Shirley, all of Due West. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Ray Smith of Donalds and Sybil Ricketts Shirley of Honea Path and the late Ray Shirley. She is a graduate of Dixie High School and Clemson University in 1999, where she received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She is a seventh grade teacher at Ware Shoals High School in District 51, and a volleyball coach and assistant softball coach. She is a member of the Due West Lions Club and was presented in 1996 at the Abbeville Cotillion.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Smith of Rock Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Vardon Cox of Donalds. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. “Hoss” Nesbitt of Rock Hill and the late Mr. and Mrs. Coit Cox. He is a 1994 graduate of Erskine College, where he received a bachelor of science degree in sports management. He is employed by the Donalds-Due West Water and Sewer Authority.
Katie Livingston Stephens of Anderson was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Cathy Dunlap Blackwell of Fort Mill, Roxanne Rich Caldwell of Greenville, Tara Cox of Due West, the bridegroom’s sister, Chris Schwanda of Lincoln, Neb., Lori Smoak of Bowman, Lenna Shirley of Columbia, the bride’s cousin, P.J. Shirley of Donalds, Holly Wiley of Abbeville, the bride’s cousin, and Beth Wimberly of Branchville.
Natalie Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Casi Wilson, Mari Shannon Wilson, all of Abbeville and cousins of the bride, Macie McDill of Shoals Junction and Alex Jefferson of Lexington, the bridegroom’s niece, distributed programs.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory princess A-line silhouette satin gown, featuring a tip-of-the-shoulder neckline that dipped to a V at the center front and back and a bodice that was embellished with pearled lace. The lace also accented the hem with upward insets on the full skirt and onto the train. Large spaced buttons covered by pearled flowers extended down the full length of the chapel train creating an overlay illusion and was detailed at the tip by a small notch.
She wore a headpiece of handmade porcelain pansies accented by crystals in a dewdrop cut that was attached to a double-tiered ivory fingertip veil with rolled edges.
She carried a hand-tied garden collection of roses and freesia in spring colors accented with Ginestra and braided off-white sheer ribbon.
Attendants wore formal gowns of silver shantung silk. The bodices featured off-the-shoulder necklines, fitted basque waistlines and floor-length A-line skirts. They carried hand-tied garden collections of roses and freesia in spring colors accented with Ginestra and braided sheer silver ribbon.
The bridegroom’s father was best man.
Groomsmen were Brian Cox of Lexington and Brandon Cox of Donalds, brothers of the bridegroom; Tracy Carter of Greenwood; Brian Gamble and Travis Nickles, both of Donalds; Ed Horton of Anderson; Bill Lesesne and Carlyle Shirley, the bride’s brother, both of Due West; Evan Mann of Alexandria, Va.; and Andy Robinson of Bradley.
Ringbearers were Jonathan Wilson of Abbeville, the bride’s cousin, and Petyon Cox of Lexington, the bridegroom’s nephew.
The bridegroom’s parents were hosts of a rehearsal party at Rocky Knoll Hunt Club.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at The Greenwood Country Club.
After a wedding trip to Fort Myers Beach, Fla., the couple will live in Due West.

CHARLOTTE — Jerry D. Hall of Gastonia and Melba and Harvey Tiffany of Clover, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Christine Elizabeth Hall of Charlotte, to Robert Eldredge Kelley II, also of Charlotte.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Hunter Huss High School and Appalachian State University, where she received a bachelor of science degree. She works at Boston Gear in Charlotte.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of the Rev. R. Eldredge and Vivian Kelley of Greenwood, S.C., and Elsie and Harry Nickles of Hodges, S.C. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School; Erskine College, where he received a bachelor of arts degree; and the University of South Carolina, where he received a master’s degree in public health. He is a sales engineer for Mechanical Equipment Company in Charlotte.
The wedding is planned for 2 p.m. August 24, 2002 at Pisgah Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Gastonia.

DONALDS — Tracey Lynn Lowe and Gary Travis Burel, both of Donalds, were married at 4 p.m. Saturday at Greenville Presbyterian Church. Dr. George Wilson officiated.
Wedding music was presented by organist Judy Lowry.
The bride is the daughter of Walt and Andis Lowe of Hodges. She is the granddaughter of Andy A. Smith of Greenwood and the late Helen H. Smith and Georgette Kesselberg of Jacksonville, N.C., and the late John Kesselberg. She is a graduate of Ware Shoals High School and Coker College, where she received a bachelor of arts degree in English. She is employed by Honea Path Middle School.
The bridegroom is the son of Gary and Carolyn Burel of Donalds. He is the grandson of Connie Burel Perry of Donalds and the late Frank L. Burel and the late James and Garnetta Ashley. He is a graduate of Dixie High School and is employed by Solutia in Greenwood.
Alisa Price of Ware Shoals and Julie Belanger of Ontario, Canada, were maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Sandy Bursca of Middleburg, Fla., Roslynn Elom of Florence, Christie Lowe of Ware Shoals and Mikia Hamiel of Hartsville.
Noelle Lowe of Ware Shoals, the bride’s niece, was flower girl.
Holly Becker of Cornelius, N.C., kept the bride’s book.
The bride wore a white formal sleeveless gown of Italian matte satin, featuring a square neckline, a banded empire waist with floral embroidery and an A-line silhouette skirt that was embellished with floral embroidery and extended into a chapel train.
She wore a headpiece adorned with pearls attached to an elbow-length veil of white tulle.
She carried a cascade of white Vendella and Akito roses highlighted with lavender and sterling silver roses.
Ivy, plumosis fern and seeded eucalyptus completed the bouquet.
Maids of honor wore spaghetti strap tops, and attendants wore square neckline tops with short sleeves and floor-length A-line skirts made of iridescent periwinkle blue taffeta.
They carried nosegays of blue Dutch iris, lavender daisies, mauve dianthus, purple statice, lavender monte casino and lavender roses. The bouquets were enhanced by gypsophila and tied with French sheer ribbon.
The bridegroom’s father was best man. Groomsmen were Benji Ashley and B.J. Burel, brother of the bridegroom, both of Donalds; Mark Lowe, the bride’s brother, and David McAlister, both of Ware Shoals; Tracy Rhodes of Greenwood; and Don Coker of Simpsonville.
Nathan Lowe of Ware Shoals, the bride’s nephew, was ringbearer.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at the church social hall.
After a wedding trip to Charleston, the couple will live in Donalds.

Wedding music was presented by organist Dr. Jane Bolen and vocalist Keri Tucker.
The bride is the daughter of James and Mary Hester of Greenwood. She is a 1998 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 2002 summa cum laude graduate of Clemson University Honors College, where she received departmental honors and a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. She plans to attend graduate school in the fall and will be a teaching assistant at Clemson. She is a member of South Main Street Baptist Church.
The bridegroom is the son of Nancy Owens of Nesmith and the late Davey Owens. He is a 1995 graduate of Waccamaw High School and a 2000 graduate of Clemson, where he received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He is a member of Farm House Fraternity and Nesmith Baptist Church. He is employed by Cryovac in Simpsonville.

Bridesmaids were Cynthia Snider of Clemson, Yuki Yaginuma of Charleston and Celia Boyd of Greenwood.
The bride wore a white matte satin princess gown, featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline, an embroidered bodice accented with sequins, seed pearls and re-embroidered lace, and an empire waistline. The back of the gown was adorned with satin-covered buttons and a large satin bow that extended into a chapel train. She wore an elbow-length white veil of illusion accented with pearls.
Attendants wore satin princess dresses, featuring halter necklines enhanced with embroidered bands.
Ricky Owens of Surfside Beach was best man.
Groomsmen were Stephen Weathers of Bowman, Wesley Wightman of Clemson, Kevin House of Columbia and Lee Nickles of Winder, Ga.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at the church.
The couple are planning a wedding cruise to the Caribbean.

The bride is also the daughter of Mrs. Bill McKee Jr. of Greenwood. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill McKee Sr. of Greenwood, Martha McKee of Hodges and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Davenport. She is a graduate of Greenwood High School and attends Lander University, where she is pursuing a degree in elementary education. She is a member of Rho Lambda Honor Society and Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She is a student teacher with School District 50.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald White of Troy and Mr. and Mrs. Barry McGee of Clinton. He is the grandson of Doris Hester of Laurens, the late Mr. and Mrs. Julian White and the late Mr. and Mrs. Orah McGee. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School, The South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and Piedmont Tech. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and is employed by the Greenwood City Police Department in the Detective Division.
Crystal Knight of Laurens, the bride’s sister, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Courtney Hedden of Abbeville, Stephanie Butler of Columbia, and Mandy Gilbert and Macon Turner, both of Greenwood.
Honorary attendants were Natalie Wolf of Indiana and Tonya Harrison, Valerie Coleman and Wendy Bruce, all of Greenwood.
Caitlin Knight, the bride’s niece, was flower girl.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of white Italian satin. The portrait neckline was accented with a fitted bodice adorned with European lace, pearls and sequins, and laced up the back with white satin ribbon. The full ball gown skirt was detailed with a layered back that extended into a detachable cathedral train.
She wore a headpiece of rhinestones and pearls attached to a fingertip veil.
She carried a bouquet of yellow roses, Gerbera daisies and wildflowers.
Attendants wore formal full-length gowns of navy matte satin, featuring embroidered square necklines and scooped backs that were adorned with chiffon trains and covered buttons. They carried bouquets of wildflowers accented with baby yellow rose buds tied with sheer ribbon.
Donald White of Troy was best man.
Groomsmen were Brian Butler of Columbia, Jamey Knight of Laurens, Kyle White of Troy and Kristopher Johnson of Charleston.
Honorary ushers were Christopher Gray, Fred Gilbert and Daniel Moore, all of Greenwood.
Dylan Bruce of Greenwood was ringbearer. Jonah Knight, nephew of the bride, was bell chimer.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at Puckett’s Ferry.
After a wedding trip to Sandals Resort in Jamaica, the couple will live at Lake Greenwood.
