The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Daisy Caldwell. She is a 1994 graduate of Ninety Six High School, a 1998 magna cum laude graduate of Newberry College and a 2000 graduate of the University of South Carolina. She is employed by Benedict College in Columbia.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thompson. He is a 1993 graduate of Bad Kreuznach High School in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, attended Midland Technical College in Columbia and is a 2001 graduate of the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy. He is employed by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
An April 27, 2002 wedding is planned for 3 p.m. at Brookland Baptist Church in West Columbia.

LOWNDESVILLE — Amanda Louise Boyd of Simpsonville and Jeffery Ronald Nance of Greenwood were married during a 4 p.m. ceremony Saturday at Providence Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Jeff Jacobs of Covington, Ga., officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Spiros and Lisa Papleacos of Laurens and Larry and Melissa Boyd of Greenville. She is a graduate of Lander University and is a fitness specialist.
The bridegroom is the son of Ronnie and Susan Nance of Donalds. He is a graduate of Erskine College and is a quality manager at Fuji Film.
Chandler Boyd of Charleston was maid of honor and Shelley Young of Greenville was matron of honor.
Ronnie Nance of Donalds was best man. Greg Nance of Abbeville was groomsman. Jason Boyd of Greenville was usher.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at Lake Rabon.
After a wedding cruise to South America, the couple will live in Simpsonville.

GREENWOOD — Bobby and Nellie Lomax announce the engagement of their daughter, Shatika Lomax of Columbia to Andrey Spearman, also of Columbia.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of Solomon and Ethel Spearman of Greenwood. He is a 1994 graduate of Greenwood High School, a 1998 graduate of the University of South Carolina at Columbia and a 2002 graduate of Okefenokee Technical College in Waycross, Ga. He is employed by CSX Railroad as a conductor.
An April 13, 2002 wedding is planned for 2 p.m. at Grace Community Church in Greenwood.

DONALDS — Walt and Andis Lowe of Hodges announce the engagement of their daughter, Tracey Lynn Lowe of Donalds, to Gary Travis Burel.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Ware Shoals High School and Coker College in Hartsville, where she received a bachelor of arts degree in English. She is a seventh- and eighth-grade teacher at Honea Path Middle School.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Dixie High School in Due West and is employed by Solutia.
A June 1, 2002 wedding is planned for 4 p.m. at Greenville Presbyterian Church.

HODGES — Katrina Ann Horton of Hodges and William G. Ketron III of Greenwood were married at 4 p.m. Saturday at New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church. Dr. Phillip E. Morris officiated.
Wedding music was presented by harpist Joyce Fankhauser and Neil Garron.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Horton of Hodges. She is a 2000 graduate of Greenwood High School and attends Piedmont Tech. She is employed by the Hatfield Family Clinic.
The bridegroom is the son of William G. Ketron Jr. and Ruby Bowers Duncan, both of Hodges. He is a 1995 graduate of Greenwood High School and attended Lander University. He is employed by Fuji Photo Film Inc. in the technical engineering department and is a member of the 111th Signal Battalion, Ware Shoals National Guard.
Bridgette Horton of Hodges was maid of honor.
Melissa Butler of Hodges was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Craft of Greenwood and Michelle Kernells of Hodges.
Peytan Riegel of Greenwood was flower girl.
The bride wore a white formal ball gown featuring a corset bodice and spaghetti straps that were adorned with pearls, sequins and Alencon lace. The full tulle skirt accented with Alencon lace appliques extended into a chapel train.
She wore a jeweled tiara attached to a semi-cathedral veil.
Attendants wore formal A-line black gowns with white inserted pleats that were inverted and pulled together at the waist with rhinestone clasps. Matching black and white wraps completed the ensembles.
The bride and her attendants carried bouquets of white calla lilies.
Doug Crawford of Ninety Six was best man.
Groomsmen were Jerry Horton Jr. of Hodges and Wayne Craft and Gary Dean, both of Greenwood. Keller McGovern of Greenwood was ringbearer.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at Ware Shoals National Guard Armory.
After a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple will live in Greenwood.

Wedding music was presented by Wayne Kelley, Nicole White-Kelley and Serressa Wideman.
The bride is the daughter of Marilyn Tolbert and George Brown of Abbeville.
She is a graduate of Fort Campbell High School in Kentucky and Lander University, where she received a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed by Anderson Area Medical Center.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie T. Moss Sr. of Greenwood.
He is a graduate of Greenwood High School and Tri-County Tech, where he received a degree in practical nursing. He is employed by Anderson Area Medical Center as a licensed practical nurse.
Bridesmaids were Euketha Tolbert and Shonda Rouse, both of Abbeville, and Chandra Moss of Greenwood.
Flower girls were Travasia Tolbert, Haley Tolbert and Jenelle Tolbert, all of Abbeville, and Takirah Tolbert of Anderson.
The bride wore a white floor-length gown.
The bridegroom’s father and Trevis Griffin of Charleston were best men.
Groomsmen were Travis Tolbert and Marcus E. Brown, both of Abbeville, and James P. Brown of Columbia.
Ushers were Stanley Moss, J.R. Talbert and Michael Vincent Talbert, all of Greenwood.
Nicholas Moss of Greenwood was ringbearer.
The couple were hosts at a reception at Emerald High School.
The couple took a wedding trip to the East Coast of the Palmetto State. They live in Anderson.

GREENWOOD — Elizabeth Ruth Phillips of Greenwood and Michael Wayne White Jr. of Troy were married at 6 p.m. Saturday at West Side Baptist Church. The Rev. Hal Lane officiated.
Wedding music was presented by vocalist Nikole Haltiwanger, organist Kelly Smith and pianist Chad Todd.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth R. Phillips of Greenwood. She is the granddaughter of Ruth Harris of Greenwood and the late Marvin E. Harris and the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew A. Phillips. She is a 1997 graduate of Emerald High School, a 2000 magna cum laude graduate of Clemson University, where she received a bachelor of arts degree in political science, and attends the University of South Carolina School of Law. She is a member a Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and is employed by Collins and Lacey, P.A., in Columbia.
The bridegroom is the son of Michael W. White Sr. of Troy and Patricia Clark of Greenwood. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Whitworth of Lincolnton, the late William Wellmaker, Sue White of Troy and the late Alfred White Sr. He is a 2000 graduate of Emerald High School and attends Clemson University, where he is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering. He is employed by Engelhard Corporation in Seneca.
Melinda George of Zelienople, Pa., and Michele White of Greenwood were maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Sharon Lajoie of Zachary, La., Stephanie Satterfield of Simpsonville and Jennifer Murray of Greenwood.
Escorted by her uncle, Marvin E. Harris Jr., the bride wore a formal gown of white Italian satin, featuring a bateau neckline, double spaghetti straps, an open back and a fitted bodice that was detailed with tiny pearls, silver bugle beads, embroidery and organza rosebuds. A band of matching embroidered organza bordered the hemline. Covered buttons accented the back of the gown to the hemline of the Tiffany train.
She wore a tiara of aurora borealis crystals attached to a double-tiered, fingertip veil of illusion.
She carried a bouquet of buttercream roses, freesia and white sweetheart roses with needlepoint ivy and interspersed ribbon tufts.
Attendants wore midnight blue long satin gowns, featuring A-line skirts and mock two-piece tops. The gowns featured scoop necklines and were adorned with blue beads. They carried arm bouquets of lavender stock, buttercream roses, lemonium, ivory Gerbera daisies, blue delphinium and blue Iris tied with sheer ribbons.
William Flood of Clemson was best man.
Groomsmen were Andrew George of Zelienople, Paul Darby of Palm Bay, Fla., Andrew White of Spartanburg and Russell Pearce of Greenwood.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at Gatewood.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, the couple will live in Columbia.

Dean-Fisher

GREENWOOD — Barbara A. Dean of Greenwood and James R. Dean Sr. of Hodges announce the engagement of their daughter, Tamika LaTrell Dean of Greenwood, to Charles Winston Fisher, also of Greenwood.
The bride-elect is a 1995 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 2000 graduate of Piedmont Tech, where she received a degree in medical assisting. She is employed by Digestive Disease Group.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Charles Fisher and the late Mattie M. Fisher. He is a 1995 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 1999 graduate of Lander University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing. He is the store manager of Athlete’s Foot.
The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. June 8, 2002 at Macedonia Baptist Church.
No invitations will be sent. Family and friends are invited.

COLUMBIA — Julia Kennedy Williams and Todd McCathern Cunningham, both of Columbia, were married at noon May 17, 2002 at Rutledge Chapel on the University of South Carolina Horseshoe. The Rev. Kenneth Crosswhite officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blake Truesdale Williams of Columbia. She is the granddaughter of Eunice Brewington of Kershaw, the late Beattie Williams, Margaret Schneider of Ninety Six and the late Dr. Leopold Alan Schneider. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she received a degree in journalism and mass communications.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cunningham Sr. of Irmo. He is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Billy McCathern, Doris Cunningham and the late Harry Cunningham. He is a graduate of Presbyterian College, where he received a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
Amelia Buck was maid of honor. Attendants were Erin Cunningham, Tyler McCathern, Lauren Sutton and Kimberly Roenfeldt.
Chandler Sizer was flower girl.
The bridegroom’s father was best man. Groomsmen were Robert Cunningham Jr., Christopher Dickerson, Nicolas Harris and Gary Heady Jr.
The Faculty Club at McCutchen House was the reception site.
The couple plan a wedding trip to Barbados.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Driver of Elberton. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Davis of Elberton and the late L.T. and Mildred Driver. He is a 1994 graduate of Elbert County High School and is employed by Rent-A-Center in Washington, Ga.
The wedding is planned for 7 p.m. June 29, 2002 at Richard B. Russell State Park on Ruckersville Road in Elberton.

Wedding music was presented by pianist Joey Thompson and vocalists Rita Dukes, Gail Rumfelt, Phil O’Dell and Olivia Medlin.
The bride is the daughter of Danny and Linda Culbertson of Ware Shoals. She is the granddaughter of James Alvin Culbertson of Ware Shoals and the late Sybil Martin Culbertson and Gaynelle Roach Fleming of Ware Shoals and the late Fred Dale Fleming Jr. She is a 1997 graduate of Ware Shoals High School and a 2000 graduate of Clemson University, where she received a degree in early childhood education. She is a teacher at Ware Shoals School District 51.
The bridegroom is the son of Keith and Tina Skinner of Donalds. He is the grandson of Joseph and Zell Skinner of Ware Shoals and Lynn and Dora Richey of Donalds. He is a 1997 graduate of Ware Shoals High School and a 2000 graduate of Piedmont Tech, where he received a degree in industrial electronics technology. He is a maintenance technician with Advanced Technology Services at Caterpillar in Simpsonville.
Jill Moore and Joni Snyder, both of Ware Shoals, were matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were Julie Bishop and Annie O’Dell, both of Ware Shoals; Donna Peppers of Miami, Fla.; Jennifer Skinner of Donalds, the bridegroom’s sister; and Brandy Teague of Mountville.
Junior bridesmaids were Casey O’Dell and Sandy O’Dell, both of Ware Shoals.
Honorary bridesmaids were Beth Abeyta, Angela Boozer, Amanda Cheshire, Laura Davis, Stacia McLennan and Alisa Price.
Monay Hernandez of Donalds and Hannah Teague of Mountville were flower girls.
The bride wore a gown of white dulciana satin. The sleeveless bodice featured thin, hand-beaded straps with bugle beads and crystals. The fitted bodice was adorned with floral hand-beaded lace and formed a basque waistline detailed with bugle beading. The A-line skirt was floor length and was enhanced with a matching band of beaded embroidery that trimmed the hem of the gown and formed an apron effect in the back.
She wore a tiara of crystals and rhinestones attached to a double-tiered fingertip veil of illusion that was detailed with a satin ribbon edge.
Attendants wore formal gowns of navy dulciana satin with satin shawls that were accented with rhinestones. The dresses featured fitted bodices, spaghetti straps and rhinestone beading. The princess line bodices were floor length.
The junior bridesmaids wore formal, floor-length gowns of navy dulciana satin, featuring princess line bodices and A-line skirts enhanced with back bows and rhinestone beading around the bodices. They also wore satin bolero jackets.
The flower girls wore gowns of white dulciana satin, which were adorned with flowers, rhinestones and silver embroidery, and embroidered bolero jackets. The princess line gowns were floor length with A-line skirts.
The bridegroom’s father was best man. Groomsmen were Brent Couch, Justin King, cousin of the bridegroom, John Moore and Jason Snyder, all of Ware Shoals, Ryan Culbertson of Greenwood and T.J. Richey of Honea Path.
Junior groomsmen were Wesley Skinner of Donalds, the bridegroom’s brother, and Cody Smith of Hodges, cousin of the bridegroom.
Nathan Skinner of Hodges, the bridegroom’s brother, was usher.
Jawn Paul Hernandez of Donalds was ringbearer.
Brady Smith of Hodges was Bible bearer.
Grady Cotton of Spartanburg was acolyte.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at the church.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will live in Ware Shoals.
