Kacey Elizabeth Young of Columbia and John Gary Eichelberger Jr. of Charleston were married during a 6 p.m. ceremony Oct. 27, 2001 at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral by the Rev. Anne Hodges-Copple with the Rev. Prince Rainey delivering the homily.
Wedding music was presented by violinist Meredith Jones.
The bride is the daughter of Bruce Gasque Young of North Myrtle Beach and Deirdre Dodson Young of Columbia. She is the granddaughter of the late Harvey Anderson Young, the late Jean Gasque Young and the late Mr. and Mrs. Weyman Harrison Dodson. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in social justice and community activism at Duke University and will attend the Medical University of South Carolina.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John Gary Eichelberger Sr. of Ninety Six. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Lee Eichelberger Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Grover Cornelius McQueen. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science and history at Furman University and a juris doctorate and master of theological studies at Duke University. He is an attorney with Nelson, Mullins, Riley and Scarborough of Charleston.
Bronwen Dickey, the bride’s cousin, was maid of honor.
Attendants were Christy Bailey, Katie Caggiano, Alyssa Kneller, Laura Moss, Kacee Parker, Angela Wells and the bride’s sister, Margaret Young.
Adam Eichelberger, the bridegroom’s brother, was best man.
Groomsmen were Jim Barger, Will Burkhalter, Richard Church, Jamie Gordon, Chad LaBruyere, Nicholas Seminoff, the bride’s brother, and Ken Sikes.
Ushers were Michael Greer, Ryan Hendrick, the bride’s cousin, Rimes McElveen and Michael Seminoff.
Scripture was read by Laurel Miller and Bonny Daughtry, the bridegroom’s sisters.
Doug Danner, the bride’s cousin, served as crucifer.
Andie Wigodsky and Molly Hemstreet-Risso were acolytes.
After a wedding trip, the couple will live in Charleston.

GREENWOOD — Allen and Louise Irwin of Greenwood announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Kathryn “Katie” Irwin of Greenwood, to Joseph B. “Joe” Carter.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Emerald High School and of Piedmont Tech. She is employed with CVS and is a member of the Practical Nursing Club at Piedmont Tech.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Jewel Carter of Greenwood and the late Dalton Carter. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School and attended Newberry College. He is employed with CVS. He is a member of the Greenwood Men’s tennis team and the Gatewood Mixed Doubles tennis team.
A December 2001 wedding is being planned, with invitations to be sent.

HONEA PATH — Kelly Sue Vaughn of Honea Path and Mark Reid Crawford of Abbeville were married during a 2 p.m. ceremony Oct. 27, 2001 at Friendship Baptist Church by the Rev. Tim Crawford of Honea Path.
Wedding music was presented by Susan Sutherland of Honea Path.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Vaughn of Honea Path. She graduated from Belton-Honea Path High School and from Greenville Technical College. She is a registered nurse at Anderson Area Medical Center.
The bridegroom is the son of Charles F. Magaha and Mr. and Mrs. C. Glenn Crawford, all of Abbeville. He graduated from Dixie High School and Tri-County Technical College. He is employed with Design South Professionals.
Leighann Mattison of Belton was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Summer Wilson of Greenville, Ashley Forrester of Williamston and Lori Williams of Pendleton.
The bride wore a satin sleeveless gown featuring a modified scoop neckline, fitted bodice and a pleated waistline. The bodice was embellished with graduated pearls and a keyhole opening in the back. The hemline was embellished with matching pearls that extended into a cathedral train.
The bride wore a headband of matching graduated pearls with a waist-length veil.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white and pink roses, stephanotis and assorted greenery, tied with white sheer ribbon.
The attendants wore mercury-colored satin two-piece dresses featuring a short sleeve top with a modified scoop neckline and a straight skirt with a back split. Clear acrylic sandals completed their look.
They carried hand-tied bouquets of hot pink and burgundy roses, alstromeria and assorted greenery that was tied with mauve sheer ribbon.
Carrol Crawford of Hodges and Glenn Crawford of Abbeville were best men.
Groomsmen were Cory Simpson of Abbeville and Philip Vaughn of Honea Path.
A reception was held at the Friendship Social Hall.
After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple will live in Belton.

BRADLEY — The parents of Natasha Makia Bennett of Bradley and Darvelle Moore of North Carolina announce their children’s engagement.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilburt Bennett of Bradley. She is a graduate of Greenwood High School and Columbia Junior College with a degree in medical assistance. She attends Piedmont Tech and is employed with Eaton of Greenwood.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Linda Murphy of North Carolina and Darryl Moore of Texas. He graduated from Aurora High School and attends Piedmont Tech. He is also employed with Eaton of Greenwood.
The wedding is set for Dec. 8, 2001 at 4 p.m. at Mount Zion A.M.E. Church in the Promised Land Community.
Family and friends are invited.

GOOSE CREEK — Miranda Machele Coons of Moncks Corner and William Christopher McCune III of Greenwood were married during a 3 p.m. ceremony Nov. 17, 2001 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church by the Rev. Frank Palmieri.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney W. Coons of Goose Creek. She graduated from Coker College and works in the Berkeley County School District.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. McCune Jr., of Moncks Corner. He is a Lander University graduate.
Christie L. Springmeyer of Goose Creek was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Isabelle Price of Winston-Salem, N.C., Melissa Perkins of Norfolk, Va., Roslynn Elom of Florence and Elizabeth McCune of Greenwood.
Martha Hudgins of Columbia was flower girl.
The bridegroom’s father was best man. Groomsmen were John McCune of Greenwood, Todd Thornton of Columbia and Rodney Coons Jr. and Christopher Coons, both of Goose Creek.
Dustin Parsons of St. Stephens was ringbearer.
A reception was at Planter’s Walk Clubhouse.
The couple took a wedding trip to Naples, Fla.

WILLIAMS-WALKER

GREENWOOD — Mr. and Mrs. Frank V. Williams of Greenwood announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Key Rickenbaker Williams of Greenwood, to Phillip Bradley Walker, also of Greenwood.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Greenwood High School. She attends Lander University and is expected to graduate Dec. 15 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an emphasis in accounting. She is a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, Zeta Eta Chapter, was presented at the Danse de Noel Assembly Debutante Ball and is employed at The Office Supply Center as a printing and specialty papers manager.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Walker of Greenwood. He is a graduate of Piedmont Tech and a graduate of Lander University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an emphasis in accounting.
He is employed at The Office Supply Center as a warehouse manager.
The wedding is set for Jan. 26, 2002, at 4 p.m. at North Side Baptist Church in Greenwood.

He is pursuing a master of divinity degree at McAfee School of Theology and a master’s degree in business administration at Mercer University.
A June 1, 2002 wedding is planned for 3 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church in Greenwood.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of LTC (Ret.) and Mrs. John Dennis Davenport of Titusville, Fla., and the grandson of the late John Edward Davenport and the late Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Goodman Ryals. He is a graduate of Fishburne Military Academy and attended The Citadel. He is the self-employed owner of Island Sky Systems.
An April 27, 2002 wedding is planned for 6 p.m. at Dixie Plantation in Charleston.

A March 16, 2002 wedding is planned for 3 p.m. at Youth Crusade Evangelistic Center in Greenwood. A reception will be at Emerald High School cafeteria.

GREENWOOD — Kimberly Diane Butler of Greenwood and David Brandon Edwards of Killeen, Texas, were married during a 4 p.m. ceremony Saturday at Northside Baptist Church. The Rev. Steve Watson of Greenwood officiated.
Wedding music was presented by Ann Brewer and Kim Sherrer, both of Greenwood. The bride is the daughter of Keith and Christie Butler of Greenwood. She is a graduate of Greenwood Christian School and attends Piedmont Tech. She is a member of Northside Baptist Church.
The bridegroom is the son of David and Genene Edwards of Greenwood. He is a graduate of Thornwell High School and attended Piedmont Tech. He is a veterinary technician in the U.S. Army.
The bride wore a gown of white Dulciana satin, featuring a modern V neckline, thin straps of rhinestones, a fitted bodice that was enhanced with silver embroidery and hand beading, a deep V back, a basque waistline that extended into a full, box-pleated ballgown skirt and a semi-cathedral train that was accented with matching silver embroidery. She wore a crown of rhinestones and borealis crystals attached to a double-tiered, elbow-length veil of white French tulle that was accented with satin piping.
She carried a colonial bouquet of white orchids that were encircled with red roses and white miniature carnations and accented with purple statice and baby’s breath. The bouquet was enhanced with white satin and brocade ribbon and streamers.
Karen Butler of Greenwood was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Sherrer and Caroline Addis, both of Greenwood, and Roma Wornall of Columbia. Junior bridesmaid was Katelyn Richards of Alpharetta, Ga. Addison Cox and Anne-Hunter Cox, both of Atlanta, were flower girls.
Attendants wore red floor-length gowns.
David B. Edwards of Greenwood was best man. Groomsmen were Jared Edwards, Spencer Edwards and Mitch Postal, all of Greenwood. Nathan Richards of Alpharetta was ringbearer.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at the church.
After a wedding trip to Martinique on the Gulf, the couple will live in Fort Hood, Texas.
