HONEA PATH – Stephanie Nicole Ricketts and Richard Scott Treckman, both of Chattanooga, were married during a 5 p.m. ceremony Saturday at the cabin of the bride’s aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Wilson, in Honea Path by the Rev. George Busch of Abbeville.
Wedding music was presented by Joie Kay of Honea Path.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Lee Ricketts of Abbeville. She is a 1993 graduate of Abbeville High School and a 1996 graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. She is an assistant manager of Staples in Hixson, Tenn.
The bridegroom is the son of David Treckman of Anderson and Mrs. Rugena Scanlion of Corunna, Ind. He is a 1990 graduate of Clarkston High School in Clarkston, Mich., and he attended Ferris State. He is an assistant manager with Staples of Cleveland, Tenn. Hannah Holder of Abbeville, the bride’s cousin, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amy Ricketts, sister-in-law of the bride, and Jennifer Fleming, both of Abbeville.
Alexandria Treckman of Chattanooga, the bridegroom’s daughter, was flower girl.
The bride wore a formal gown of white organza over taffeta. The dropped waist was created and designed with silk Venice lace motifs that enhanced the short sleeves and the bateau neckline. Tiny clusters of seed pearls accented the bodice. The gathered skirt was swept into a slight train in the back.
Her two-tiered, waist-length veil of illusion was caught by a headpiece of pearled flowers accented with rhinestones.
The attendants wore formal suits of lemon ice linen. Pearl buttons adorned the front of the sleeveless bodice topping a sheath skirt.
David Treckman was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Jamie Ricketts, the bride’s brother, and Christopher Holder, the bride’s cousin, both of Abbeville.
Taylor Kreischer of St. Joe, Ind., the bridegroom’s nephew, was ringbearer.
The bride’s parents were hosts for a reception at the cabin.
After a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple will live at 3535 Mountain Creek Road in Chattanooga.

ABBEVILLE- Julie Michelle Steer and James Ernest Henderson III, both of Ninety Six, were married during an 11 a.m. ceremony Saturday at the historic Hill House in Abbeville, by the Rev. Joseph McDonald, pastor of Cambridge United Methodist Church in Ninety Six.
Wedding music was presented by Martha Cann of Calhoun Falls, organist, Cynthia Adams of Greenwood, violinist, and Ronald and Lisa Aycock of Lincolnton, Ga., vocalists.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Steer Jr. of Fort Mill. She is a 1995 graduate of Clemson University and a 1998 graduate of The Citadel. She is a member of 2000-01 VISIONS class of the Greenwood Area Chamber of Commerce and is employed with Eaton Corp.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Ernest Henderson Jr. of Ninety Six. He is a 1999 graduate of The Citadel. He is a member of the S.C. High School League Association, and is employed with Greenwood School District 52.
Andrea Lynn Steer of Ninety Six, and Mary Ruth Steer of Athens, Ga., the bride’s sisters, were maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Lynn Henderson of Clinton, the bridegroom’s sister, Ginger Elizabeth Boyd of Columbia, Addie Kochina Cerrise McLaurin of Charleston, Karen Elizabeth Bellum of Boca Raton, Fla., and Robin Brown Harbaugh of Greensboro, N.C. Laura Elizabeth Sampson and Rebecca Scholl Sampson, both of Ninety Six, were flower girls.
The bride wore a formal, sleeveless gown of Italian matte satin featuring a modern scoop neckline highlighted with pearls flowing into a deep V back. The bodice was enhanced with pearl motifs and illusion straps. The detachable train was accented withVenetian lace appliques and cascaded to chapel-length.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of pastel roses and stephanotis.
Her two-tiered, fingertip-length veil of illusion featured pearl accents and was caught by a headpiece of pearls and crystals.

The attendants wore individually selected separates in periwinkle iridescent taffeta.
They carried hand-tied bouquets of pastel roses, waxflower, monte casinos and alstroemeria lilies.
James Ernest Henderson Jr. was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Robert D. Goss of Bowman, Ga., Charles Walden Jones of Greer, Scott Ivan McDowell of Spartanburg, Thomas Franklin Fletcher of Ninety Six, Michael Ray Morris of Greenville, Jason Edward Heaton of Columbia and Christopher Andrew Greer of Ninety Six.
The bride’s parents were hosts for a reception at The Hill House.
After a wedding trip to Hilton Head Island, the couple will live at 1101 Epworth Camp Road in Ninety Six.

GREENVILLE– Ashlee Clark Edwards of Greenville and Herbert Tierre Barnes of Greenwood were married during a 5 p.m. ceremony Saturday at Lowndes Hill Baptist Church in Greenville, by Dr. Edward D. Brantley of Shelby, N.C.
Wedding music was presented by Charles A. Jackson and Mark Brock, both of Greenville. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Nelson Edwards Jr. of Greenville. She is a student at the University of South Carolina at Spartanburg where is majoring in secondary education history.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Barnes of 160 Callison Drive in Greenwood. He graduated from the University of South Carolina. He is a photojournalist for WSPA/News Channel 7 Greenwood Bureau and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Courtney Allen of College Park, Md. was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were April Simpson of Orangeburg, Kimberly Springle and Chastity Smith, both of Greenville.
The bride wore a formal, sleeveless gown of ivory and rum pink Italian matte satin featuring a court neckline and box pleated skirt. A corset lace-up enhanced the back bodice. Accents of silver, rum pink and ivory embroidered flowers enhanced the full skirt flowing into a a semi-cathedral-length train.
Her fingertip-length, two-tiered veil of illusion was caught by a crystal tiara embellished with pearls and rhinestones.
The attendants wore formal, two-piece gowns of rum pink matte satin. Spaghetti straps enhanced the bodice.
Harold Oliver of Abbeville was best man.
Groomsmen were Roderick Clinkscales of Greenwood, Jabari Kelly of Columbia and Demian Edwards.
Ushers were Zeal Augustus and Patrik Paolantonio, both of Columbia, Geoffrey Edwards of Greenville, Coby Watts of Greenwood and Steven Williams of Tuscon, Ariz.
The bride’s parents were hosts for a reception at the Greenville City Club.
The couple will live at 138 Mallard Court in Greenwood.

TJEMSLAND-HOLMES

GREENWOOD – Dr. Larry and Billie Holmes of Greenwood, announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah Anne Holmes, to Kristian Tjemsland.
The bride-elect of Greenwood, graduated from Faith Academy High School, Manila, Philippines, and will enter Bible College in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The bridegroom-elect of Sandnes, Norway is the son of Kjell Borge and Astrid Tjemsland of Sandnes, Norway. He is a student at Bible College in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The wedding is set for 4 p.m. July 21, 2001 at Grand Church in Sandnes. A pre-wedding reception for the couple is scheduled June 30 in Hodges.

GREENVILLE – Christine Lyre Powell and Michael Parris Kellet, Jr., both of Greenville, were married during a 6 p.m. ceremony Saturday at First Baptist Church in Greenville by the Rev. Michael Smith of Branchville and Dr. Donald Flowers of Charleston.
Wedding music was presented by the Anderson String Quartet of Anderson and Furman Chamber Choir of Furman University. Also, Tim Bivins and John Cooper, both of Greenwood, trumpeters, Scott Cothran of Greenville, vocalist and guitarist, Wayne Hopkins of Burbank, Calif., pianist, Stephanie Mundy of Greenville, vocalist. and Chip Mays of Greenville, organist.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Powell of Greenwood. She graduated from Furman University in 2000 with a bachelors degree in music. She is church educator at the Fountain Inn Presbyterian Church in Fountain Inn. She was presented at the 1997 Danse de Noel Assembly and was Miss Greater Greenwood in 1999.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Parris Kellett of Greenville. He is a 1995 graduate of Furman University with a bachelor of science degree in biology, and a 1999 graduate of Lander University with a master of arts degree in teaching. He is a teacher with the Christ Church Episcopal School in Greenville.
Meredith Russell Hickerson of Charleston was matron of honor.
Heather Rhea Hudson of Greenville was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Eden Bethea Kellettt of Charleston, Brandi Bingham Kellett of Winston-Salem, Jill Elizabeth Colcolough of Columbia, formerly of Greenwood, Virginia Faye Carroll of Knoxville, Tenn., Jennifer Louise Owen of Orangeburg, Elizabeth Jackson Head of Tallahassee, Fla., and Janice Kay Schnell of Nashville, Tenn.
Anna Mills Polatty of Greenwood was flower girl.
The bride wore a formal, sleeveless gown of white matte satin featuring a strapless bodice and a modified dropped waistline highlighted with jeweled accents of pearls and crystals. The softly box pleated skirt flowed into a full, chapel-length train.
Her three-tiered veil of silk illusion was caught by a headband accented with crystals, pearls and rhinestones.
She carried a tussy mussy filled with Casablanca lilies, sweetheart and Virginia roses, dendrobium orchids, and freesia enhanced with beargrass, lemon leaves, and smilax vine. The attendants wore formal, two-piece gowns of aubergine satin and chiffon featuring a strapless bodice highlighted was a band of jeweled embroidery. A matching chiffon overlay enhanced the A-line silhouette.
They carried hand-tied bouquets of variegated white flowers from the bride’s bouquet.
The bridegroom’s father and William Josiah Kellett of Winston Salem were best men.
Groomsmen were Wade Hampton Bryant Jr., of Charlotte, Robbie Wayne Flowers of Cullowhee, N.C., Chadwick Delmar Gilmer of Greenville, Adam Geiger Hewitt of Roswell, Ga., Jeffry Scott Johnson of Kings Mountain, N.C., Michael Cameron MacCaughelty of Birmingham, Pinckney Johnston Maxwell IV of New Orleans and Kenneth Scott Summers of Greenville.
The bride’s parents were hosts for a dinner and dance at the Palmetto Expo Center.
After a wedding trip to St. Johns Island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple will live at 50 Cross Club Drive in Greenville.

KIAWAH ISLAND – Casey Michelle Gunnells and Dr. Paul Joseph Velky, both of Greenwood, were married during a 6 p.m. ceremony Saturday at Kiawah Island by the Rev. G. Thomas Cartledge of Mountville.
Wedding music was presented by a String Trio and Loretta Haskell, vocalist, all of Charleston.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Colin Blane Gunnells of Ninety Six. She graduated from Ninety Six High School in 1991 and from the College of Charleston in 1994 with a bachelor of arts degree in biology. She graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1996 with a bachelor of science degree in physical therapy. She is a physical therapist at the Optimum Life Center of Self Memorial Hospital.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Joseph Velky of North Augusta. He graduated from North Augusta High School in 1980, and from Clemson University in 1984 with a bachelor of science degree in microbiology. He graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1988 with a doctorate degree in medicine. He is in private practice with Anesthesiology of Greenwood.
Mrs. Gordon Brown Sherard III, of Greenville, N.C., was matron of honor.
Program attendant was Anne Marie Velky of North Augusta.
The bride wore a formal sheath gown in ivory brocade featuring a strapless bodice. The detachable train of matching satinique cascaded into a chapel-length.
Her cathedral-length veil of ivory tulle was caught by a tiara embellished with ivory pearls and flowers.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of garden roses, delphinium, freesia, lisianthus and blooming seasonal flowers from the low country.
The honor attendant wore a formal, two-piece gown of wisteria angel skin satin. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of mixed summer flowers and matching roses.
Edward Joseph Velky was his son’s best man.
Ushers were Colin Blane Gunnells Jr. of Ninety Six, the bride’s brother, and Jacob Robert Velky of North Augusta, the bridegroom’s nephew.
Page was Benjamin Joseph Velky of North Augusta, the bridegroom’s nephew.
A reception was at the Kiawah Inn.
The couple will live in Greenwood.

GREENWOOD – Brandi Annette McDaniel of Greenwood and Robert Barron Napier of Waterloo were married during a 2 p.m. ceremony Saturday at Harris Baptist Church in Greenwood by the Rev. Robert B. Napier of Waterloo, the bridegroom’s father.
Wedding music was presented by Richard Shiflet and Julie Dykes, both of Greenwood.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Craig McDaniel of 915 Willard Road in Greenwood. She is a 1998 graduate of Ninety Six High School and is employed by the Greenwood County Clerk of Court. She is a member of Harris Baptist Church.
The bridegroom is also the son of Mrs. Robert B. Napier of Waterloo. He is a 1997 graduate of Ninety Six High School. He is employed with the Greenwood County Detention Center and is a member of Waterloo United Methodist Church.
Elizabeth Gary of Greenwood was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Chastity Hall and Cristy Boswell, both of Greenwood.
Honorary attendants were Angie Cannady and Kathy Iglesias, both of Hodges.
The bride wore a formal, sleeveless gown of satin. The deep U-shaped back was accented by satin rosettes. Princess seams created a fitted bodice above the full, flowing skirt.
Her fingertip-length veil of illusion was caught by a satin headband embellished with pearls and beads.
The attendants wore formal, floor-length gowns in blush satin and crepe. Caviar beads adorned the taffeta-lined satin bodice Princess seams and an empire waistline highlighted the gently flared crepe skirt.
Charles “Chip” Haynie of Waterloo was best man.
Groomsmen were Christopher Gary of Greenwood, Waylon Byrd of Hodges and Chad Latham of Abbeville.
The bride’s parents were hosts for a reception at the church.
After a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple will live in Greenwood.

GREENWOOD – Robert Lee Rodgers and Karen Sharee Cogdill, both of Ninety Six, announce their engagement.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Haverd Steven and Thelma Griffin Cogdill of Ninety Six. She graduated from Greenwood High School and is employed with Building Blocks Day Care.

The bride is the daughter of Annie K. Terry of Abbeville and the late James M. Terry Sr. She is also the granddaughter of the late Margie Killingsworth. She is a 1991 graduate of Abbeville High School, a 1993 graduate of Spartanburg Methodist College, and she also attended Lander University. She is an account executive with Staffsource of Greenwood.
The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Telateau Gilbert of Greenwood and the late Charlie Gilbert Jr. He is also the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie (Fannie) Gilbert Sr. of Hodges, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy (Willie Lee) Wilson Sr. of Cokesbury and Rachel Parks of New York. He graduated from Greenwood High School in 1990 and received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Lander University in 1995. He is a service manager with Meta Systems Inc./Metanet.
Nikki Cannon of Aiken was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle G. Benson of Columbia and Devona Freeman of Abbeville. Honorary attendants were Sherry Cullen of Greenwood, Felecia Donaldson of Iva, Ms. Lajuana Harris of Columbus, Aleascia Posey of Honea Path, Raweewan Ross of Piedmont, Pamela Stewart of Spartanburg and Laurinda Williams of Columbia.
Jillian Posey of Honea Path, Dominique Reid of Greenwood, and Jordan Terry of Greenville were flower girls.
The bride, escorted down the aisle by her brother, James M. Terry Jr. of Greenwood, wore a formal, sleeveless gown in white enhanced with Alencon lace appliques. Spaghetti straps accented the corset-style bodice. The tulle skirt flowed into a chapel-length train, embellished with beaded lace.
Her two-tiered veil of illusion was caught by a crown of pearls.
The attendants wore formal, sleeveless gowns of tangerine iridescent satin featuring a halter-style bodice. A belt adorned with rhinestones enhanced the waistline. The A-line, floor- length skirt flowed into a train.
Kimico Myers of Columbia was best man.
Groomsmen were Eric Martin of Greenwood and James Benson Jr. of Columbia.
Jarrod Killingsworth of Abbeville and David Martin Jr. of Charlotte were ushers.
Atavious Reid of Greenwood was ringbearer. Joshua Posey of Honea Path was broombearer. The couple hosted a reception at Pucketts Ferry Clubhouse.
After a wedding trip to St. Simons and Jekyll Island, the couple will live in Greenwood.

CROWDER-RAMSEY

GREENWOOD – Irma C. Crowder of Greenwood and Ernest Edwards Ramsey of Hodges announce their engagement.
The bride-elect is retired from Professional Medical Products.
The bridegroom-elect is retired from the U.S. Air Force and will retire from Fuji Photo Film Inc. this month.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Allen Camak of Sumter and Hodges. Mr. Camak is formerly of Ware Shoals and Mrs. Camak is the former Deborah Jacks of Due West. The bride is also the granddaughter of Betty Murff Jacks of Due West.
She graduated from Sumter High School.
The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Kathy Wilson Finamore and Earl M. Wilson Jr., both of Bishopville. He is a graduate of Crestwood High School. He also graduated from basic training at Parris Island, and MCT-Camp Geiger, N.C. He is stationed with the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune.
The bride wore a formal gown in ivory and white georgette featuring a bateau neckline flowing into a deep V back in an A-line silhouette. A matching stole completed the ensemble.
A reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at the home of the bride and bridegroom. The couple will live on Davis Street in Jacksonville.
