GREENWOOD - Katie Suzanne McGinnis of Ninety Six and Jason Corley Davenport of Greenwood, were married during a 6 p.m. ceremony Saturday at First Baptist Church in Greenwood by Rev. Dr. Charles Lee Moates Jr. of Smoke Rise Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, Ga.
Wedding music was presented Robert Lamar of Leasburg, N.C., the bride’s cousin, vocalist, the Rev. Robert Glick of Due West, organist, and John Cooper of Greenwood, trumpeter.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin John McGinnis of Ninety Six. She graduated from Ninety Six High School and from Clemson University with a bachelor of science degree in microbiology. She is a member of the American Society of Microbiology, and was presented by the 1998 Danse de Noel Assembly in Greenwood.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Ray Davenport of Greenwood. He graduated from Greenwood High School and attended Lander University. He is vice president of Microscope Service and Repair.
Hope Elizabeth Sullivan of Honea Path was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jana Denise Carroll of Greer, Elizabeth Corley Davenport of Greenwood, the bridegroom’s sister, Jennifer Brooke Davis of Anderson, Katherine Scurry Eisenreich of Waterloo, Sumer Diane Shirley of Belton, Emily Hopkins Sullivan of Honea Path, and Amy Elizabeth Vines and Emily Nicole Mack, both of Ninety Six.
Lora Gahagen Eddy and Ora Parker Eddy, both of Ft. Campbell, Ky., the bride’s cousins, were flower girls.
The bride, escorted down the aisle by her father, wore a formal gown of white Italian satin featuring a strapless bodice highlighted with vertical panels and jeweled Venice lace. Matching crystal bugle beads trimmed the scalloped waistline and the hemline of the A-line skirt and the cathedral train. Self-covered buttons adorned the back bodice. Her two-tiered, cathedral-length veil of illusion featured a satin-corded edge and was caught by a headpiece of pearls and crystals.
She carried a European cascade of white stock, calla lilies, imported stephanotis, and trailing English ivy.
The bridesmaids and honor attendants wore formal gowns in blush pink. Vertical rows of crystal bugle beads highlighted the strapless bodice of French satin. A sweep train flowed from the modified trumpet skirt of matching whisper chiffon.
They carried hand-tied calla lilies enhanced with ivory satin ribbon.
The flower girls wore formal gowns of blush pink featuring a French satin bodice accented with pearls. Self-fabric cabbage roses adorned the waistline of the bouffant tulle skirt.
Dennis Ray Davenport was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Jeffrey Stuart Britt of Lexington, David Bradley Davenport, the bridegroom’s cousin, Brian Louis Hook, Thomas Gregory Rouse, James Henry Thompson III, all of Greenwood, David Jay Eisenreich of Waterloo, Michael Bret McKenzie of West Ashley and Eric Shane Rhoden of New Orleans.
Joseph Nelson Eddy of Rock Hill, the bride’s cousin, was ringbearer.
A reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at The Gatewood Club.
After a wedding trip to the Cayman Islands, the couple will live in Greenwood.

BROWN-SMITH

GASTONIA, N.C. – Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Smith of Gastonia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ebony Chevon Smith, to Napoleon Jabar Brown.
The bride-elect of Gastonia, graduated from Ashbrook High School and Winston Salem State University. She is employed with Vanguard Group Inc. in Charlotte.
The bridegroom-elect of Gastonia, formerly of Greenwood, is the son of Donald Brown of Gastonia, and Mary A. Lake of Greenwood. He graduated from Ashbrook High School in Gastonia and attended Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte. He is employed with Rachling Engineering in Gastonia.
The wedding is set for 4 p.m. June 16, 2001 at St. Stephens A.M.E. Zion Church at Unity Place in Gastonia.
No invitations will be sent. Friends and relatives are invited.

ABBEVILLE – Diana Marie Todd of Abbeville and John Fuller Cobb of Greenwood, were married during a 3 p.m. ceremony Saturday at Siloam Baptist Church by the Rev. Steven Crittendon.
Wedding music was presented by Jimmy Alewine of Iva and Amy Cobb of Greenwood.
The bride is the daughter of Donald and Elaine Todd of 488 Old Calhoun Falls Highway in Abbeville. She graduated from Abbeville High School in 1993 and from Piedmont Technical College in 1999 with an associate degree in nursing. She is employed with the Anderson Area Medical Center.
The bridegroom is the son of Connie Cobb of 216 Pullham Road in Greenwood and the late Heyward Cobb. He graduated from Ninety Six High School in 1992, and from Piedmont Technical College in 1999 with an associate degree in industrial electronics. He is employed with Velux of Greenwood.
Bridesmaids were Sherrie Sparks of Greenwood, Laura Todd of Abbeville, Denise Parnell of Iva and Chelsie Hastings of Ninety Six.
The bride wore a formal gown of white satin featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline and short sleeves. Alencon lace adorned with pearls enhanced the bodice. Tiny self-covered buttons accented the back. The full skirt flowed into a chapel-length train highlighted with matching lace appliques.
Her elbow-length veil of white tulle featured satin accents and was caught by a jeweled lace bunwrap.
The attendants wore formal, full length gowns in periwinkle blue enhanced with a draped front. Spaghetti straps accented the bodice topping an A-line skirt.
Shane Cobb of Greenwood was best man.
Groomsmen were Aaron Hastings and Ron Pratt, both of Ninety Six, and Walter Todd of Abbeville.
A reception was at the church.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will live at 117 Pickens St. in Abbeville.

Dixon-Hutchins

GREENWOOD – Mr. and Mrs. Ronny Dixon of Greenwood, announce the engagement of their daughter, Rhonda Dixon, to Ozzie Hutchins.
The bride-elect of Valencia, Calif., graduated from Greenwood High School in 1990 and from Asher School of Business in 1996. She is an underwriter with Security National Mortgage Co.
The bridegroom-elect of Valencia, is the son of Hayes Hutchins II of Tuscaloosa, Fla., and Shirley Hutchins of Gulf Breeze, Fla. He graduated in 1991 from Nevada Union High School and from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1998. He is an engineer with Honda Racing.
The wedding is set for 11 a.m. July 28, 2001 at Riviera Park in Santa Barbara, Calif.

ABBEVILLE – Amy Elizabeth Havird of Abbeville and Mart Andrew Patterson of Due West, were married during a 5 p.m. ceremony Saturday at Upper Long Cane Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dr. Howard H. Whitehurst of Abbeville.
Wedding music was presented by David Boles of Fountain Inn, harpist, also playing the hammer dulcimer, and Kelly Gallamore of Greenville, vocalist.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lee Havird of Abbeville. She graduated from Cambridge Academy in 1993 and from Erskine College in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood/elementary education. She is a member of Beta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, and is a first grade teacher at Westwood Elementary School in Abbeville.
She was named Teacher of the Year for 1999-2000.
The bridegroom is the son of Sarah Patterson of Greenville. He graduated from Wren High School in 1994, and from Erskine College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1998. He is an appraiser for the County of Pickens Assessor’s Office.
Julie McCoy of Anderson, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Angela Cooper of Columbia, Kelly Gallamore, and Melanie Qualls of Pittsburgh.
Jennifer Waters of Abbeville was flower girl.
The bride wore a formal gown of white satin featuring a sweetheart neckline enhanced with Alencon lace appliques. Matching lace appliques adorned the fitted bodice, cap sleeves, and A-line skirt flowing into a cathedral-length train.
Her fingertip-length veil of illusion featured pearl accents and a corded edge, and was caught by a bunwrap embellished with graduated pearls.
She carried a clutch bouquet of white hydrangeas, stephanotis and seeded eucalyptus. The attendants wore two-piece, floor-length gowns of plum pink iridescent taffeta. Jack Walden of Greenville was best man.
Groomsmen were Brian Cooper of Columbia, Jamey Hill of Pendleton, Tony Lambright of Dacusville and Paul Woodington of Columbia.
The bride’s parents were hosts for a reception at The Heritage House.
The bride and bridegroom left for a wedding trip to San Francisco and Northern California.

DUE WEST – Sarah Elizabeth Mann of Due West and Wayne Quay Justesen III of Greenwood, were married during a 3 p.m. ceremony Saturday at Due West Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church by Dr. James M. Bell Sr. and Dr. John T. West IV, both of Due West.
Wedding music was presented by John Yarbrough of Laurens, Virginia Metts of Greenwood and David Coleman of Abbeville.
The bride is the daughter of Wanda S. Mann of Due West and the late William F. Mann Jr. She graduated from Presbyterian College with a bachelor’s degree and is pursuing a master’s degree in elementary guidance from Clemson University. She is a teacher at Lakeview Elementary School in Greenwood.
The bridegroom is the son of Wayne Q. Justesen Jr. and W. Lynn Justesen, both of Greenwood. He is a graduate of Christ School and received a bachelor’s degree from Presbyterian College. He is a network administrator for Capital Bank.
Mary Elizabeth Kruse of Clearwater, Fla. was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Tonya Kelley of St. Petersburg, Fla., Sarah Nichols of Columbia, Fronde Merchant of Charleston, Emily Carson of Orlando, Fla., Roxanne Caldwell of Greenville, Brooke Yarbrough of Laurens and Alyssa Mann of Abbeville.
The bride wore a formal gown of ivory dulciana satin featuring a The strapless bodice embellished with Venice lace which was delicately beaded and fitted into a natural waistline. The princess-line skirt fell into a semi-cathedral train which was detachable and enhanced with a beaded bow.
Her two-tiered, fingertip-length of veil of French tulle featured a pencil edge and was caught by a headpiece of pearls and crystals.
The attendants wore formal, two-piece strapless gowns in platinum.
Wayne Q. Justesen Jr. was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Gordon Justesen, Julian Justesen, the bridegroom’s brothers, Brett Easterling, all of Greenwood, Shane Ackerman of Spartanburg, Tobin Turner of Atlanta, Creighton Likes of Charleston, Evan Mann of Alexandria, Va., the bride’s brother, Brian Sacco of Charlotte and Daniel Webb of Knoxville, Tenn.
The bride’s mother was host for a reception at historic Cokesbury College.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will live in Greenwood.

GREENWOOD - April Lynn Goldman and Christopher Michael Brower, both of Greenwood, were married during a 4 p.m. ceremony Saturday at Main Street United Methodist Church in Greenwood by the Rev. Larry Jenkins of Greenwood.
Wedding music was presented by Cindy Dysart, vocalist, Joyce Nickles, organist, Tim Bivins, trumpeter, all of Greenwood. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grady Wayne Goldman of Greenwood. She graduated from Greenwood High School and from Lander University with a bachelor’s degree where she is assistant director of Residence Life and Judicial Affairs. She is a graduate student at Clemson University.
The bridegroom is the son of Rebecca Edge of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Charles Brower of Skaneateles, N.Y. He graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School, and from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree. He graduated from Columbus State University with a master’s degree. He is the women’s assistant basketball coach at the University of South Carolina in Columbia.
Bridgett Stanley Craver of Abbeville was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Victoria Price Dickey and Tracey Bryan Marcengill, both of Greenwood, and Kristie Lynn McCloskey of Greenville.
Reilly Elizabeth Craver of Abbeville, the bride’s godchild, was flower girl.
Honorary attendants were Kimberly Dawn Abercrombie, Florence V. Walls, both of Greenwood, Elizabeth Harp Gettys of Rock Hill and Kimberly Dawn Williams of Spartanburg.
The bride wore a formal, two-piece gown of white dulciana satin. The fitted strapless bodice was detailed with a satin band embellished with aurora borealis crystals, pearls and sequins forming a basque waistline. The floor-length, A-line skirt of dulciana satin was enhanced in the back with an inverted pleat of Alencon lace that flowed into a semi-cathedral-length train.
Her cathedral-length veil of French illusion featured accents of aurora borealis crystals and a pencil edge and was caught by a headpiece of rhinestone flowers.
The attendants wore a formal, floor-length gowns of dulciana satin in wisteria. A gathered silk chiffon band enhanced the strapless bodice and the fitted natural waistline. Box pleats highlighted the back of the A-line skirt.
Geoffrey David Brower, the bridegroom’s brother, and Ivan Pavlic, the bridegroom’s grandfather, both of Fort Walton Beach, were best men.
Groomsmen were Timothy Wayne Goldman of Greenville, the bride’s brother, and Mike Scott Sanda of Columbus, Ga.
The bride’s parents were hosts for a reception at the Inn on the Square.
After a wedding trip to the Virgin Islands, the couple will live in Greenwood.

Wedding music was presented by Jeremy Ferqueron of Greenwood, the bride’s brother, vocalist and trumpeter, and Anne Day of Hodges, pianist.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ferqueron of 108 Avondale Road in Greenwood. She is a 1997 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 1999 graduate of Piedmont Technical College with an associates degree in business. She is employed with Self Memorial Hospital.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Cox of Honea Path. A 1991 graduate of Belton-Honea Path High School, he is a student at Tri-County Technical College. He is employed by Rockwell Automation in Belton.
Melissa Kirkland of Bradley was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Rebekah Ferqueron of Greenwood, the bride’s sister-in-law, Ranna Cox of Honea Path, the bridegroom’s sister-in-law and Stacy Russell of Anderson.
Hannah Kirkland of Bradley and Morgan Ferqueron of Greenwood, the bride’s nieces, were flower girls.
The bride wore a formal gown of white Italian satin featuring a sweetheart neckline and short laced sleeves. Pearled Alencon lace appliques adorned the fitted bodice and formed panels down the back of the full skirt onto the cathedral-length train with matching scalloped lace bordering the hemline.
Her two-tiered, waist-length veil of French illusion was caught by a tiara of pearls and iridescent crystals.
The honor attendant wore a formal, sleeveless princess-line gown of lilac matte satin. A bias band with a bow accented the empire bodice.
The attendants wore formal sleeveless gowns of Victorian lilac French satin. The princess line gown featured a court neckline with a low back accented with a satin bow and self-covered buttons to the hemline.
The flower girls wore formal gowns of white satin featuring a sweetheart neckline and short sleeves. Pearls and iridescent crystals accented the gown. Rosettes of white satin adorned the back of the full skirt onto the short train. They also wore a halo of baby’s breath.
Clint Cox was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Chad Cox, Chayne Cox, the bridegroom’s brothers, and Mark Davis, all of Honea Path.
Ushers were Brad Emery and Matthew Emery, the bride’s cousins, both of Greenwood, and Horace Kirkland of Bradley, the bride’s brother-in-law.
The bride’s parents were hosts for a reception in the church social hall.
After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will live at 145 McKinney St. in Donalds.

Wedding music was presented by Cynthia Bull, pianist, and the Rev. Burton Ott, vocalist, both of Edgefield.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Robert Corley of Edgefield. Mrs. Corley is the former Patsy Steifle of Greenwood. The bride is also the granddaughter of Mrs. William W. Steifle of Greenwood, the late Mr. Steifle, Frances T. Corley of Greenwood, and Robert A. Corley of Columbia.
She graduated from Strom Thurmond High School in Johnston and from Lander University. She is employed by Mariplast North America in Greer.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wayne Crocker of Boiling Springs. He is also the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Crocker, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd L. McAbee. He graduated from Boiling Springs High School and attended Spartanburg Technical College. He is employed by Mariplast North America in Greer.
Melissa Marie Key of Greenville was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amanda Nichole Latham of Atlanta, the bride’s cousin, Lacey Griggs Corley, the bride’s sister-in-law, E. Melissa Huiet, Haley Gantt Huiet and Caron Celeste Murphy, all of Edgefield.
Cody Paige Corley, the bride’s sister, was flower girl.
The bride wore a formal gown in white featuring a beaded, fitted bodice enhanced with spaghetti straps, a matching full princess tulle skirt highlighted with jeweled accents and a detachable semi-cathedral train.
Her two-tiered veil of illusion featured silver accents and was caught by a rhinestone tiara.
The attendants wore formal gowns in pastel yellow featuring a satin bodice and matching chiffon A-line skirt.
Robert Wayne Crocker of Boiling Springs was best man.
Groomsmen were Tyler Robert Corley, the bride’s brother of Edgefield, Sidney Martin Franklin, Charles David Thompson, both of Boiling Springs, and Frank Lynn Wells of Spartanburg.
Austin Corey Mason of Chesnee, the bridegroom’s son, was ringbearer.
The bride’s parents were hosts for a reception at Pine Ridge Country Club.
After a wedding cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will live in Greenville.
