The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.G. Bates of Honea Path and Mr. and Mrs. L.T. Stone of Belton.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Babb of Hodges. He is the grandson of Louise S. Brown of Hodges and the late W.K. (Bud) Brown; and the late Horace Babb and Ruby Babb.
The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. Nov. 2, 2002 at Chiquola Baptist Church, Honea Path.

HONEA PATH — Susan Leigh McGaha of Honea Path and Brannon Michael Babb of Hodges were married at 6 p.m. Saturday at Chiquola Baptist Church. The Rev. Ty Childers of Honea Path officiated.
Wedding music was presented by organist Patricia Whitworth, vocalists Brian Rhodes and Michelle Rhodes, all of Honea Path, and vocalist Chasity Roper of Belton.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McGaha of Honea Path. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.G. Bates of Honea Path and Mr. and Mrs. L.T. Stone of Belton.
She is a 1996 graduate of Belton-Honea Path High School and a 2001 graduate of Greenville Technical College, where she received an associate’s degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at Anderson Area Medical Center.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Babb of Hodges. He is the grandson of Louise Brown of Hodges and the late W.K. (Bud) Brown, the late Horace Babb and Ruby Babb and Nancy Babb Wright of Anderson. He is a 1993 graduate of Ware Shoals High School and a 1997 graduate of Horry Georgetown Technical College in Conway, where he received an associate’s degree in forestry management technology. He is a procurement forester at W.K. Brown Timber Corp. in Hodges.
Sheri McGaha Smalley of Jacksonville, Ala., the bride’s sister, and Chasity Cowan Roper of Belton were matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were Wendy Bates Abrams and Amanda Ashley Bates, both cousins of the bride, Ami Ashley McGaha, the bride’s sister-in-law, and Candy Turpin Wooten, all of Honea Path, Stephanie Babb Chadwick of Due West, the bridegroom’s sister, Allison Rae Gambrell of Belton, and Casey Louise Nickles of Greenwood, the bridegroom’s cousin.
Nichole Fayeth Abrams of Honea Path, the bride’s cousin was flower girl.
Honorary attendants were Amanda Latimer Smith of Honea Path, Gina Marie Alexandra of Whitmire, and Amy Fowler Montjoy of Woodruff.
The bride wore a gown of Empress satin featuring spaghetti straps. Embroidery and intricate beading highlighted the neckline and the waist of the fitted bodice. The A-line skirt was pleated in the back and flowed into a full Tiffany train. The back bodice was enhanced with fabric covered buttons.
She wore a scalloped bun wrap of intertwined petite strands of satin piping and Swarovski crystals, featuring a double-tiered, fingertip veil of French illusion.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory roses mixed with stephanotis and mixed greenery tied with an ivory sheer ribbon.
Attendants wore black, A-line dresses featuring empire waists and necklines accented with petite bugle beads and crystals. The tank style bodices featured traditional square necklines with a modern V-slit.
They carried hand-tied bouquets of roses in pale orange, peach and ivory with mixed greenery tied with an ivory sheer ribbon.
Honorary attendants carried three roses, one pale orange, one peach and one ivory tied together with an ivory sheer ribbon.
The bridegroom’s father was best man.
Groomsmen were Scott Kenneth Babb of Hodges, the bridegroom’s brother, Jason Smith Chadwick of Due West, the bridegroom’s brother-in-law, Lang Brandon Nicles of Greenwood, the bridegroom’s cousin and Rodney Michael Bates the bride’s cousin and Jeffery Robert McGaha, the bride’s brother, both of Honea Path, Andres Bates Smalley and Brandon Ford Smalley, both nephews of the bride, and Scott Ford Smalley, the bride’s brother-in-law, all of Jacksonville.
Branson William Chadwick of Due West, the bridegroom’s nephew was ringbearer.
A reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents in Honea Path.
After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple will live in Honea Path.

LEXINGTON — Jennifer Paige Jackson and Michael David Deason, both of Greenwood, were married at 3 p.m. Sept. 28, 2002 at Lexington Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Robert G. Andrews officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Furman Jackson III of Irmo. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Furman Jackson Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac William Rountree Sr. She is a graduate of Furman University, where she received a bachelor’s of music degree, and is employed by Calvary Christian School in Greenwood.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Russell Deason of Lexington. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Talmadge Morris of Birmingham, Ala., Mrs. Enos Leo Deason of Foley, Ala., and the late Mr. Deason. He is a graduate of Winthrop University; Georgia State University, where he received a master’s degree in counseling; and the Psychological Studies Institute, where he earned a diploma in Christian counseling. He is employed by the S.C. Department of Mental Health and has a private counseling practice in Due West.
Karen Jackson Cress, the bride’s sister, was matron of honor.
Attendants were Rebecca Mothershed Becker, Leslie Hope Dixon and Jennifer Anne Rose.
The bride’s wedding gown was previously worn by her mother on her wedding day and was originally worn by her aunt.
The bridegroom’s father was best man.
Groomsmen were Charles Russell Deason Jr., John Mark Deason and Joel Morris Deason.
Ushers were Donald Madison Hastings III and Donald Gregory Martin.
After a wedding trip to the mountains, the couple will live in Greenwood.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Rice University in Houston, where she received a bachelor’s degree. She is employed as a marketing manager for Best Software, Non-profit and Government Division.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Ned Burns of Austin. He is a graduate of Rice University, where he received a bachelor’s degree and of Columbia University in New York, where he received a master’s degree. He is a Webmaster at Construction Industry Institute at The University of Texas at Austin.
The wedding is planned for Jan. 18, 2003 at Highland Park Baptist Church in Austin.

Anna Brook Arnold of Anderson and Marcus Carl Moeller of Greenwood were married at 6 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jim Johnston of Greenwood officiated.
Wedding music was presented by soloist Mrs. Berry Wayne Sumerel and organist Albert Cowan Gambrell III, both of Greenwood.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Barbara Arnold of Anderson and the late Billy Arnold. She is a graduate of McDuffie High School and is currently attending Anderson College, majoring in elementary education. She is a sergeant in the Army Reserves 391st ENG BN in Greenville, and is a sixth grade student teacher at Lakeside Middle School.
The bridegroom is the son of David and Patsy Hannah and Mr. and Mrs. Steven Moeller, all of Greenwood. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School and attended Clemson University. He is employed by Satterfield, Inc.
Tina Hobbs of Spartanburg, the bride’s sister, was maid of honor.
Tonya Ryan of Anderson, the bride’s cousin, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kelly Mills and Tracy Steadman, both of Greenville, Rosa Looney of Clemson, Sandy Garrison, Amanda Gaines and Shannon Jacobs, all of Anderson, and Kristin Moeller of Charleston, the bridegroom’s sister.
Angela Madden was honor attendant.
Farrah and Hannah Gilbert, both nieces of the bride, kept the guest book.
Taylor Kelley and Madeline Arnold, both of Anderson, were flower girls.
The bride wore a gown of bridal white peau d soie, featuring a deep scooped neckline. The empire bodice was embroidered with Venice lace appliques and hand-beaded lace was used to create motifs on the short capped sleeves made of sheer illusion. The A-line skirt of peau d soie was floor length.
She wore a bandeau headpiece attached to a fingertip length veil of imported illusion.
Attendants wore floor length, wine colored gowns, accented with embroidery and sequins and shaped with princess seams.
Brooks Decker of Greenwood was best man.
Groomsmen were Allen Coleman of Charleston, John Tuck of Asheville, Ryan Dobbins, Jim Snoddy and Mike Mercier, all of Greenville, Jason Hartley and Tra Rush, both of Greenwood.
Kameron Harbin of Greenwood was ring bearer.
A reception was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sauerwein by the couple’s families.
After a wedding trip to Blowing Rock, North Carolina, the couple will live in Anderson.

Shenandoah Shari Scott of Greenwood and Michael Shannon Adams of Ninety Six were married at 5 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church. Steven Crittendon of Ninety Six officiated.
Wedding music was presented by soloist Amy Meredith, pianist Kimberly Finley, both of Greenwood, and Shannon Adams of Ninety Six.
The bride is the daughter of the late Patricia Evans. She is a graduate of Central Christian School in Newberry and is employed as a comptroller at George Ballentine Ford.
The bridegroom is the son of Patsy Dyke of Greenwood and Edward Adams of Greenwood. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Fox of Marion, N.C. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School, served in the Air Force from 1992-1996, and is employed as a building inspector by the City of Greenwood.
Susan Williamson of Greenwood was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Michelle Oxner of Greenwood, Gina Burian of Traverse City, Mich., and Angie Kennemore of Ninety Six.
Escorted by her son, the bride wore a sleeveless white gown featuring a sweetheart neckline edged with pearls.
The bodice of the organza gown was covered with lace and encrusted with pearls and sequins. The A-line skirt was adorned with scattered floral appliques, highlighted by pearls, sequins and beading. The pearl edged, V-back cascaded into a chapel length train.
She wore a beaded comb of pearls attached to a double-tiered, elbow length veil, detailed with white satin ribbon and edging lightly decorated with pearls and sequins.
She carried a garden nosegay of coffee color Aketo and lavender roses, coffee beans, purple statice and bronze cushions accented with streamers of rust, plum and harvest plaid organza.
Attendants wore gowns of Victorian lilac featuring halter-style corsets embellished with beads and embroidered fronts, lace up backs and floor length, ball gown skirts of sheer organza.
The matron of honor carried a miniature version of the bride’s bouquet. The bridesmaids carried cut crystal hurricanes tied with ribbons of plum organza, rust tulle and harvest plaid organza.
Charlie Mack Adams of Rock Hill was best man.
Groomsmen were Lee Rankin of Brunswick, Ohio, Brian Bailes of Little Mountain, Brian Klerks of Westfield, Mass., Lawrence Ouzts and Brent Stevens, both of Greenwood.
A reading was performed by the bride’s brother, William Gentry.
The couple were hosts of a reception at the Greenwood Country Club.
After a wedding trip to Asheville, N.C., the couple will live in Ninety Six.

Wedding music was presented by violinist Cynthia Adams and vocalist and organist Keith Polatty, both of Greenwood.
The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Mary Jo Holly of Abbeville. She is a 1991 graduate of Abbeville High School and a 1995 graduate of the University of South Carolina. She is a pharmaceutical sales consultant with Glaxo/Smith/Kline Pharmaceuticals.
The bridegroom is the son of the late Pamela Sue Tuggle of Coulterville, Ill. He is a 1987 graduate of Coulterville High School and a 1989 graduate of the DeVry Institute of Technology. He is a transmitter engineer with Media General/WASV/WSPA-TV.
April Melissa Holly of Mauldin was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Tara Thomson Scott of Abbeville, Heather Crain Webber of Greenville and Amy Egger Yoder of Simpsonville.
The bride wore a royal satin ivory strapless gown featuring a laced bodice enhanced by pearl and crystal appliques. The A-line skirt featured an apron front embellished with matching appliques. The semi-cathedral length train was accented with delicate pearl and crystal appliques.
She wore a double-layer, fingertip length ivory veil trimmed in shimmering organza.
Attendants wore celedon green mock two-piece gowns of royal satin featuring A-line, floor-length skirts. The fitted bodices featured pearl and crystal beaded straps and waistline trim.
Vernon Green of Coulterville was best man.
Groomsmen were Neal Boyett of Spartanburg, Roger Freez of Aviston, Ill., Mike Yoder of Simpsonville and Charlie Wofford of Boiling Springs.
A reception was at the Gatewood Club in Greenwood.
After a wedding trip to the Pocono Mountains the couple will live in Simpsonville.

Wedding music was presented by organist Ruth A. Sharpe of Cross Hill and soloist Claire Walker of Mountville.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Whiteford of Waterloo. She is attending Lander University and is employed by Greenwood School District 50 at East End Elementary.
The bridegroom is the son of Sharon B. Heape of Columbia and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Gantt of Greenville. He is a graduate of Greenville Technical College and is employed by Greenwood School District 50 as an automotive technical instructor at the Greenwood County Career Center.
Carrie J. Whiteford of Waterloo, the bride’s sister, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Christy L. Demez of Clinton and Sharon Livingston of Greenwood.
Brooke Alberson of Fountain Inn was flower girl.
The bride wore a gown with spaghetti straps and a corseted body with Alencon lace and appliques. It featured a twelve layered tulle skirt accented with pearls and a semi-cathedral length train.
She wore a tiara of pearls and rhinestones attached to a double layered veil. The top veil was semi-cathedral length and was accented with pearls matching the train of the gown.
She carried a bouquet of stargazer lilies, pink roses, red roses, iris and white roses.
Attendants wore satin, floor length gowns in periwinkle. They completed their look with organza wraps.
They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Mark Einhorn of Mauldin was best man.
Groomsmen were Windy Porter of Columbia and Jerry Chapman of Simpsonville.
Ushers were Justin Alexander of Cross Hill and Blake Nicholson of Fountain Inn.
Zack Campbell of Abbeville was ringbearer.
An outdoor reception was given on the church grounds by the bride’s parents.
After a wedding trip to Charleston, the couple will live in Cross Hill.
