Wedding music was presented by Jimmy Graham of Johnston and vocalist Brenda Simmons of Abbeville.
The bride is the daughter of Anna B. Jones Smith and the late Abraham Jones Sr. She is a graduate of McCormick High School, and a member of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in McCormick. She is employed by Tyco Healthcare Kendall.
The bridegroom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Anderson Sr. He is a graduate of Brewer High School and is a member of Marshall Chapel Church in Ninety Six. He is employed by Tyco Healthcare Kendall.
Sheila Holmes and Carrie Moss, the bride’s sister, both of McCormick, were maids of honor.
Tarshia Jones of Mt. Carmel, the bride’s daughter, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Tonya Anderson, the bridegroom’s daughter, Annette Jackson, the bride’s sister, Betty Jones, the bride’s sister, Carolyn Jones, the bride’s niece, Marion Lomax, the bride’s sister, and Patricia Yeldell, the bride’s sister, all of Greenwood, Connie Evans of Calhoun Falls, and Patsy Wideman of McCormick.
Audrieonnia Napoleon of Willington and Dayleshia Robinson of Mt. Carmel were flower girls.
A’Dayshae Turman of McCormick, the bride’s niece, was miniature bride.
Junior bridesmaids were Demetriauna Anderson of Mt. Carmel, Kayatria Jones of Abbeville, the bride’s niece, Roshundray Postell and Cassandra Roundtree, both of Calhoun Falls, and both nieces of the bride.
Escorted by her brother, Charles Jones of Greenwood, the bride wore a gown of dulciana satin and French tulle in ivory and rum pink. The gown featured a halter neckline, detailed with a sweetheart effect in satin and detailed with satin bands of rum pink that adorned the fitted Basque waistline. The full ball gown skirt of ivory French tulle was accented with hand beaded Alencon lace that trimmed the hem of the ball gown skirt. The back of the gown was detailed with an open keyhole and a semi-cathedral tulle train, fastened by rum pink and ivory cabbage flowers.
The train was highlighted with satin bands of rum pink that extended the length of the train.
She wore an open crown headpiece of ivory and rum pink flowers adorned with pearls, crystals and sequins attached to a double-tiered, fingertip length veil of illusion in ivory. The veil was highlighted with rum pink piping around the edges.
The maids of honor wore floor length, two-piece gowns of dull satin in sand. They featured scooped necklines and were accented with embroidery at the waists.
The matron of honor wore a floor length, two-piece halter style gown of dull satin in sand, featuring beaded fringe at the hem of the top.
Bridesmaids wore two-piece, floor length, A-line gowns of dull satin in orchid. The sleeveless, halter neckline gowns featured fitted bodices accented with embroidered flowers at the waists.
The junior bridesmaids wore floor length, two-piece halter top style gowns of dull satin in sand, featuring fitted bodices with embroidered flowers and corset backs.
Phillip Anderson of Greenwood, the bridegroom’s brother, was best man.
Groomsmen were David Anderson, the bridegroom’s brother, Clifford Jackson, the bride’s brother-in-law, Rufus Jennings, Tommy Martin, Grey Morton and Glenn Walker, all of Greenwood, Fred Anderson of Abbeville, the bridegroom’s nephew, and Marcus Turman of Willington, the bride’s nephew.
Usher/acolyte was Derrick Gilbert of Mt. Carmel.
Junior groomsmen were Craig Jones and Landerius Jones of Mt. Carmel, both cousins of the bride, and Taurus Smith of Anderson.
Danny Holmes Jr. of McCormick was ring bearer.
Jabari Gilliam of Greenwood was bell ringer.
La Porshia Anty of Greenwood was broom bearer.
The couple were hosts of a reception at the church’s Family Life Center.
After a wedding trip to Pocono Palace, Pa., the couple will live in Greenwood.

Lowe-Tolson

Daphene Tolson-Wrenn announces the engagement of her brother, Raymond Byerly Tolson of Greenwood, to Tina Hastings Lowe of Greenwood.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Jerry and Betty Morrow of Hodges. She is a graduate of Greenwood public schools, Lander University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and of the University of South Carolina, where she received a master’s degree in social work. She is employed the Emerald Center-DSN as an early intervention supervisor.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Pauline Gainey Tolson of Patrick and the late James Roachel.
He attended public schools in Greenwood and in Ft. Pierce, Fla. He is employed by Buck Pool and Stove as a service technician.
The wedding is planned for 7 p.m. Oct. 25, 2002 at The Coffee and Dessert Co.

Wedding music was presented by Alvin Bell of McCormick.
The bride is the daughter of Jenniel Carter of Hodges and Robert L. Carter of Piedmont. She is a 1991 graduate of Greenwood High School.
The bridegroom is the son of Simon and Magalene Dunlap of Greenwood. He is a 1988 graduate of Greenwood High School.
Renee Paul of Abbeville and Denise Holloway of Greenwood were maids of honor.
Veronica Neal of Ware Shoals and Fredericka Briggs of Greenwood were matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were Crystal Norman, Kimberly Calhoun, Mary Williams, LaShondra Smith, Latonya Butler, Crystal Robinson and Carla Williams, all of Greenwood, and Yvonda Thomas of Lawrenceville, Ga.
Anniestagia Harrison and Kiara Timpson, both of Greenwood, were flower girls.
The bride wore a ivory wedding gown featuring a beaded Alencon lace bodice, portrait collar, off-the-shoulder neckline and illusion lace long sleeves. The Basque waistline topped the full, tulle ball skirt, which featured scattered lace appliques. The hem of the skirt was bordered in lace and satin edging, and featured a semi-cathedral length train with a waterfall bow accenting the back.
She wore a pearl-drop and rhinestone tiara attached to an elbow length, white tulle veil accented with scattered pearls.
The maids and matrons of honor wore long mock two-piece gowns in celadon featuring halter tops and beading accenting the bodice. They completed their look with matching shawls.
The bridesmaids wore long mock two-piece satin A-line gowns in celadon, featuring halter tops and beading detail. They also completed their look with matching shawls.
The junior bride wore an ivory satin, full length gown with a tulle skirt. The skirt was accented with beaded Schiffli appliques, long illusion lace sleeves and a detachable train of tulle.
Best men were Tony Boggs of Donalds, Walter Donald of Hodges and Reggie Smith and Terrance Dunlap, both of Greenwood.
Groomsmen were Derrick Blocker, Gary Holloway, Marlo Dunlap, Kenneth Dunlap, Precious Dunlap and Lonnie Dunlap, all of Greenwood, Derrick Thomas of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Marcus Tolbert of Houston, Texas.
Ushers were Benjamin Calhoun of Enoree and Brian Calhoun, Alvin Dunlap and Eddie Harrison, all of Greenwood.
Shyon Donald of Hodges was ring bearer.
Datarious Barr of Greenwood was bell ringer.
Kelsey Dunlap and LaKavin Dunlap, both of Greenwood, were candle lighters.
Bareko Johnson of Ninety Six was carpet roller.
A reception was given at Greenwood High School by the bride’s parents.
The couple will live in Hodges.

Wedding music was presented by Bryant Martin of Greenwood. And LaJuanta Stewart, Jennifer Brown and Brooks Bryant, vocalists.
The bride is the daughter of Rosemary Ryans and Elijah Middleton. She is a 1996 graduate of Emerald High School and a 2001 graduate of Charzanne Beauty College. She is employed as a customer service manager at Big Lots.
The bridegroom is a 1993 graduate of Greenwood High School and is employed by Velux.
Tauri Ryans of Promise Land was maid of honor.
Vanessa Purvis of Greenwood was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Janine Ryans of Bradley, Wanda Williams of Columbia, Sonya Williams of Ninety Six, Brandi Jones and Tish Turner, both of Promise Land, Rosalyn Middleton, Michelle Allen, Shonda Smith, Alicia Jackson, Ikia Wiggins, and Angelique Wideman, all of Greenwood.
Miniature bride was Ky-Shua Watson.
Junior bridesmaid was Brianna Nicholson.
Shaquana Miller of Promise Land and Tamia Wideman of Greenwood were flower girls.
The bride wore a gown of dulciana satin in ivory. The halter neckline featured a princess-line bodice adorned with hand-beaded Alencon lace. The floor length A-line skirt was trimmed at the hem with matching lace.
The gown had an open back and an apron effect that featured a detachable semi-cathedral length train.
She wore a crown of hand-beaded lace encrusted with pearls, rhinestones and crystals attached to a double-tiered veil of illusion detailed with a pencil edge.
The matron and maid of honor wore floor-length, strapless, sheath gowns of black and platinum satin featuring sweetheart necklines and princess-line bodices with sweep trains.
Attendants wore black and platinum halter neckline gowns in Tina satin that were floor length and featured A-line skirts. They completed their look with Tina satin shawls.
Carlos Hill of Greenwood and Elias Ryans of Bradley were best men.
Miniature bridegroom was Jabari Ryans.
Groomsmen were Lonnie Miller of Promise Land, Arnez Gray, Travis Livingston, Corey Anderson, Darrell Anderson, Jeffrey Ryans, Chris Wideman, Osric Holloway, Melvin Blair, Brian Bowie and Kelvin McGraw, all of Greenwood.
Ushers were Jamison Drennon of Greenwood and Delvin Middleton of Ninety Six.
Junior groomsman was Taurean Middleton of Laurens.
Jumaane Ryans of Promise Land was ring bearer.
Desmond Hill was Bible carrier.

NEWBERRY — Christina Lynn Hamrick and Thomas Brian Andrews, both of Greenwood, were married at 4 p.m. Sept. 21 at Newberry Country Club. The Revs. Robert and Carol Cannon of Gilbert officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hamrick of Prosperity. She is a 1995 graduate of Mid-Carolina High School, and a 1999 graduate of Lander University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She is a second grade teacher at East End Elementary School.
The bridegroom is the son of Tommy Andrews and Lynne Frick. He is a graduate of Whitmire High School and Lander University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in history, with a minor in political science. He is employed by United Insurance Company of America.
Dawn DiCorte of Little Mountain was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kim Koon of Simpsonville, Melissa Hill of Charleston and Renee Johnson of Chapin.
Ashley and Krista Hamrick of Columbia were flower girls.
The bride wore a gown of dulcine satin and hand-beaded Alencon lace in white. The halter neckline featured a fitted bodice that flowed into a floor-length trumpet skirt, highlighted with all over lace. The back of the gown was detailed with fabric covered buttons and a sheer lace chapel length train.
She wore a tiara of rhinestones and pearls attached to a semi-cathedral veil of French tulle embroidered with a scalloped edge and adorned with pearl flowers and rhinestones.
Attendants wore gowns of silk chiffon in cornflower. The sleeveless gowns featured scooped necklines and empire bodices that were highlighted with matching embroidered flowers. The princess-line skirts flowed into floor length. Their look was completed with chiffon shawls.
Tommy Andrews of Gray Court was best man.
Groomsmen were Jamie Andrews of Lake Wyle, Phil Hamrick of Columbia and Randel Wallace of Myrtle Beach.
Zack Simmons of Ninety Six was ring bearer.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at the Newberry Country Club.
The couple planned a wedding cruise to the Caribbean.

NINETY SIX — Tammy Calvert Phillips of Greenwood and Jerry Wayne Walker Jr. of Ninety Six, were married Saturday at the couple’s future home. The Rev. Charles Brown of Greenwood, the bride’s grandfather, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Calvert of Greenwood. She is a graduate of Greenwood High School and is employed by Piedmont Health Group.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Walker Sr. of Bradley. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School and is employed by CPW of Greenwood.
Bonnie DiBona Calvert of Greenwood, the bride’s sister-in-law, was matron of honor.
The bride wore a two-piece, ankle length lace Western wedding gown.
The matron of honor also wore western attire.
The bridegroom’s father was best man.
Jacob Calvert of Greenwood, the bride’s nephew, was ringbearer.
A reception was given at the couple’s future home, by their parents.
After a wedding trip to Tennessee, the couple will live in Ninety Six.

The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Faye Walters of Greenwood. She is a 1994 graduate of Greenwood High School, and attended Lander University and Piedmont Tech. She is a office manager at Fleetwood Home Center.
The bridegroom is the son of J. Michael and Diane A. Looper of Williamston. He is a 1988 graduate of Palmetto High School, and a 2002 graduate of Tri-County Tech. He was in the Navy, and is a member of the Society for Creative Anachronisms. He is employed by Emerald City Services.
Melody Oliver of West Columbia was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were LeAnne McGill of Anderson, Kathy Gilchrist of Ninety Six, Barbara Hebel of Greenwood and Gail Gray of Greenville.
Taylor Oliver of West Columbia was flower girl.
The bride wore a princess-line gown of white Italian matte satin, featuring short sleeves and a V-neckline edged in pearls. Madeira lace embellished with pearls and clear sequins adorned the sleeves and bodice. Self covered buttons accented the back bodice. A pyramid of matching cut-out lace highlighted the net panel on the front of the skirt and the semi-cathedral length train.
She wore her mother’s ballerina length veil of scalloped lace, edged in pearls.
Attendants wore princess line gowns of matte satin in hunter green, featuring V necklines and short sleeves.
The bridegroom’s father was best man.
Groomsmen were Jon McGill of Anderson, Andrew Dutschke of Central, Chuck Gates of Williamston and Kevin Baum of Greenville.
Hayden Dutschke of Central was ring bearer.
The couple’s families were hosts of a reception at The Coffee and Dessert Co.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will live in Hodges.

The bride is the daughter of Jewelle Poppell of Evans, Ga., and the late Wm. M. Poppell Sr. She is a graduate of Columbia International University in Columbia, S.C., and is employed by the Emerald Center in Ware Shoals.
The bridegroom is the son of Edward and Bessie Davis of Strawberry Plains, Tenn. He is a graduate of Rush Strong High School and is a realtor with ReMax Between the Lakes in Jefferson City, Tenn.
Katlyn Alexandra Davis of New Market, the bridegroom’s granddaughter, was flower girl.
After a wedding trip to Jefferson City, the couple lives in New Market, Tenn.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Arnold Peel Mulkey Jr. of Greenwood. She is a graduate of Greenwood High School and Wofford College. She is a supervisor with ICG Communications, Inc.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Eliot Cizon of Amarillo, Texas. He is a graduate of Amarillo High School and the University of Northern Colorado. He is a manager with Time Warner Telecom.
Meg Hunter Mulkey of Greenville, the bride’s sister, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Perry Vandiver Henson of Spartanburg and Brandie Lee Lorenz of Round Rock, Texas.
Ann-Margaret McClary of Moore was register attendant.
The bride wore a sheath gown of Italian matte satin in ivory, enhanced with an Alencon lace overlay featuring a strapless neckline. The fitted bodice formed a natural waistline which was highlighted by a band of ivory matte satin. The trumpet skirt flowed into floor length and was accented with scalloped Alencon lace at the hem. The back of the gown was detailed with fabric covered buttons. The detachable satin train was adorned with lace appliques edging the length of the semi-cathedral train, which was held by a French knot of matte satin.
Her two tiered elbow length veil of French tulle was detailed with an ivory satin ribbon edge and caught by an intricately beaded comb of pearls and crystals.
She carried a clutch bouquet of freesia, roses, and heather.
The bridesmaids wore two-piece gowns of crepe georgette in black. The A-line, floor length skirts were complemented by strapless bodices featuring a side hand-tied bow.
Murray Joseph Cizon of Portland, Ore., the bridegroom’s brother, was best man.
Groomsmen were Michael Murray Gray Jr. of Midland, Texas, and Arnold Todd Mulkey of Atlanta.
Ushers were William McKay Gilliland Jr. of Staunton, Va., and Edward Harbert Marshall IV of Oro Valley, Ariz.
Matthew Currie Gilliland of Staunton, Va., was program attendant.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at the Gatewood Club.
After a wedding trip, the couple will live in Aurora, Colo.
