GREENWOOD — Jennifer Lynn Bartley and Todd Perrin Lawrence, both of Greenwood, were married at 7:30 p.m. July 20, 2002 at Main Street United Methodist Church. The Rev. Frank Thomas of Harris Baptist Church, Greenwood, officiated.
Wedding music was presented by organist Joyce Nickles and soloist Kelli Mullinix, both of Greenwood.
The bride is the daughter of Lyn Murph Bartley of Greenwood and Dr. Tony Carroll Bartley of Oak Harbor, Wash. She is the granddaughter of Carolyn H. Murph of Greenwood and the late M.L. Murph Jr., and Grace Bartley of Greenwood and the late J.C. Bartley. She is a graduate of Oak Harbor High School, and a 1993 graduate of Lander University, where she received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She attends Lander University, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in elementary education. She is a fifth grade teacher at Springfield Elementary School.
The bridegroom is the son of Fletcher and Dale Lawrence of Greenwood. He is the grandson of Mary Perrin of Greenwood and the late Thomas Perrin and Evelyn Lawrence of Greenwood and the late Frank Lawrence. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School and a 1992 graduate of Clemson University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in applied economics. He is vice president of Greenwood Daewoo/U-Save Auto Rental.
Amanda Murph Bartley of Sparks, Nev., the bride’s sister, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Stephanie Bartley of Salt Lake City, Utah, the bride’s sister-in-law, Kathryn Murph of St. Simons Island, Ga., the bride’s cousin, Missi Hunsucker of Rock Hill, and Leigh Hazel and Ellen Anderson, both of Greenwood.
The bride wore a gown of dulciana satin in white. The short-sleeved gown formed a scoop neckline that was accented with French piping and hand-beaded embroidery.
The empire waist flowed into a princess seam A-line skirt that featured a matching band of embroidery at the hem that edged the length of the semi-cathedral train.
The back of the gown was accented with a deep scoop and fabric covered buttons. Her look was completed with below-the-elbow silk satin gloves adorned with scattered pearls.
She wore a headpiece of pearls and crystals attached to a double-tiered fingertip veil of illusion accented with a satin ribbon edge.
She carried a hand-tied clutch bouquet of all white tulips, roses, stephanotis, and waxflower highlighted with million stars gypsophilia. The bouquet was tied with imported French satin-edged ribbons.
Attendants wore two-piece gowns of dulciana satin in thistle. The sleeveless bodices featured floral embroidery and the backs of the gowns were accented with fabric covered buttons. The A-line skirts of satin were floor-length.
They carried hand-tied clutch bouquets of purple alstromeria, hot pink roses, lavender daisies, pink dianthus, light pink gerbera daisies, lavender Monte Casino, and were highlighted with two-toned water-dyed ribbon.
The bridegroom’s father was best man.
Groomsmen were Brad Lawrence, the bridegroom’s brother, Heath Watterson, Jay Johnson and Wiley Free, all of Greenwood, Ty Bartley of Salt Lake City, Utah, the bride’s brother, and Benji Ashley of Donalds, the bridegroom’s cousin.
Buddy Johnson of Greenwood was ring bearer.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at the church fellowship hall.
After a seven-day wedding cruise, the couple will live in Greenwood.

FULTZ-CONDRY

HODGES — Ray and Donna Fultz of Greenwood announce the engagement of their daughter, Lt. Lindsey Yvonne Fultz of Colorado Springs, Colo., to Capt. Mathew Martin Condry of Colorado Springs.
The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 2001 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. She is serving in the U.S. Army at Ft. Carson in Colorado.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John M. Condry and Dr. Diane Joines of Knoxville, Tenn. He is a 1991 graduate of West High School in Marstown, Tenn., and a 1995 graduate of Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn. He is serving in the U.S. Army at Ft. Carson.
The wedding is planned for 2 p.m. March 15, 2003 at Cokesbury College.

ATLANTA — Amy Lynn Opalak and Paul Rodney Collins were married at 7 p.m. July 6, 2002 at Cator Woolford Gardens. The Rev. Edward Frost officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Michael Opalak of Greenwood and Florence Ray of Roswell, Ga. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Collins of London, England. He is a graduate of Exeter University and Durham University, both in England.
Attendants were Tracy Williams of Atlanta, Lee Lee Maynard of Greenwood, S.C., Scott Stevens of Hickory, N.C., and Heather McColeman of Columbus, Ohio.
The bridegroom’s father was best man.
Groomsmen were Michael R. Opalak of Atlanta and Kevin Hopkins and David Herr, both of Richmond, Va.
After a wedding trip through Europe and Asia, the couple will live in Atlanta.

MATHIS-COOPER

LEXINGTON — Melissa Mathis of Columbia and John Anthony Cooper of Eugene, Ore., announce their engagement.
The bride-elect, formerly of Greenwood, is the daughter of the late Bobbie J. and Fannie C. Mathis. She is a 1991 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 1995 graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she received a bachelor’s degree in finance and management. She is employed by Washington Mutual as an underwriting manager.
The bridegroom-elect, formerly of Kansas City, Mo., is the son of Myron and Cheryl Nevels of Kansas City and John Cooper of Fort Wayne, Ind. He is a 1982 graduate of Rockhurst High School and a 1991 graduate of Wichita State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is employed by the University of Oregon as an assistant men’s basketball coach.
The wedding is planned for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 18, 2002 at Corley Mills House and Garden in Lexington.

CARY-LOGAN

PADUCAH, Ky. — Mr. and Mrs. Henry Russell Cary of Paducah, Ky., announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Russell Cary of Columbia, S.C. to Dr. Matthew Tolbert Logan of Columbia.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and Clemson University. She is a registered nurse at Richland Memorial Children’s Hospital in Columbia.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Willis Logan of Greenwood, S.C. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School, a summa cum laude graduate of Clemson University and a cum laude graduate of the USC School of Medicine. He is a emergency medicine resident at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 12, 2002 at First Presbyterian Church in Paducah.

CAMP-BROUNKOWSKI

GREENWOOD — Mr. and Mrs. William A. Camp announce the engagement of their daughter, Cynthia Denise Camp of Greenwood, to Chad Thomas Brounkowski of Greenwood.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Agnew and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton H. Camp Jr.
She is a 1994 graduate of Greenwood High School and Greenville Technical College, where she received an associate’s degree in dental hygiene. She also attended Lander University. She is employed by Dr. Wm. Robert Miller.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Alan Brounkowski of Greenwood. He is the grandson of Leila Mae Thomas of Texas and the late W.R. Thomas and Frances Brounkowski of Texas and the late E.J. Brounkowski. He is a 1993 graduate of Greenwood High School and a graduate of Piedmont Tech, where he received an associate’s degree in heat, ventilation and air conditioning technology. He is a mechanical contractor and owner of Greenwood Air Systems.
The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. Sept. 21, 2002 at Harris Baptist Church.

GREENVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. L.W. McClain of Chappells and Mr. and Mrs. James T. Rushton of Greenwood announce the engagement of their daughter, Tracy Lyn Rushton of Greenville to Thomas Claiborne Mardre III of Greenville.
The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of the University of South Carolina. She is a market service representative for the S.C. Education Lottery.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Claiborne Mardre Jr., of Greenville. He attended the College of Charleston and is assistant store manager at Consolidated Tires in Greenville.
The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. Feb. 1, 2003 at Christ Episcopal Church.

GREENWOOD — Tamika LaTrell Dean and Charles Winston Fisher were married at 4 p.m. June 8, 2002 at Macedonia Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Willie S. Harrison officiated.
Wedding music was presented by Brian Martin, Wendy Mathis, Renee Fisher, Rico Cason and Jarris Smith, all of Greenwood and Latrece Hart of Columbia.
The bride is the daughter of Barbara A. Dean of Greenwood and James R. Dean Sr. of Hodges. She is a 1995 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 2000 graduate of Piedmont Tech, where she received a degree in medical assisting. She also attended Lander University. She is employed as a certified medical assistant with the Digestive Disease Group, PA.
The bridegroom is the son of Charles Fisher of Greenwood and the late Mattie Mae Fisher. He is a 1995 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 1999 graduate of Lander University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing. He is a member of Phi Beta Sigma, Alpha Tau Alpha chapter. He is the store manager of The Athlete’s Foot.
Cassie G. Patterson of Newport News, Va., was maid of honor.
Tamara Aiken of Hampton, Va., the bride’s sister-in-law, and Gwen Thomas of Greenwood, were matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were Eleasha Robinson, Cassandra Sheppard, Andrea Strong, Akanda Thomas, Roxie Williams, Sharon Middleton, and Renee Fisher, the bridegroom’s sister, all of Greenwood, Tekeya Weston of Marietta, Ga., and Aisha Chappelle of Riverdale, Ga., the bride’s cousin.
Honorary attendants were Chelsea Martin and Yashica Tompkins, both of Greenwood.
Junior bridesmaids were Breanna Aiken of Hampton, Va., and Adero Thomas of Greenwood, both nieces of the bride.
Kiana Aiken of Hampton, Va., the bride’s niece, was flower girl.
The bride, escorted by her brothers and father, wore a gown of white matte satin with hand-beaded embroidery of crystals and pearls on the sheer overlay. Her bodice featured spaghetti straps beaded with pearls. The A-line skirt cascaded into a semi-cathedral train.
She wore a white tulle veil accented with pearls and crystals.
Matrons of honor wore gowns of satin in silver, featuring embroidered bodices and fabric covered buttons on the backs. Their straight, floor-length dresses also had a split in the back of the skirts.
Bridesmaids wore lilac satin, A-line, floor-length dresses with embroidered beading around the bodice and fabric covered buttons on the backs.
The maid of honor wore a silver gown of satin, the same as the bridesmaids.
Honorary attendants wore two-piece dresses of taffeta chiffon featuring splits on the backs of the skirts.
The bridegroom’s father was best man.
Groomsmen were Corey Gaskin, Ronald Burton, Kelsey Wright and Theo Smith, all cousins of the bridegroom, Robert Dean, the bride’s brother, Rico Cason and James Morton, all of Greenwood, Vernon Aiken of Hampton, Va., the bride’s brother, Jason Mathis of Philadelphia, the bridegroom’s cousin, Kenya Spivey and Patrick Greene, both of Columbia.
Ushers were Akeem Thomas, Keith Hackett and Kenneth Hackett, all of Greenwood.
Armani Fisher, the couple’s son, was ringbearer.
Diondre Fisher, nephew of the couple, was broom bearer.
The bride’s mother was host of a reception at Post 224.
After a wedding trip to Hilton Head Island, the couple now lives in Greenwood.

GREENWOOD — Kimyatta Shree Jefferson and Derrick Lamont Burton, both of Greenwood, were married at 4 p.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church. The Rev. Donald F. Brooks officiated.
Wedding music was presented by vocalists Veronica Mosley, Bessie Collins and Rico Carson, all of Bradley, saxophonist Carl Ratliff of Rock Hill and Brandon Norman of Greenwood.
The bride is the daughter of Wallace Williams and the late Patricia H. Williams.
She is a 1992 graduate of Greenwood High School and attends Piedmont Tech, where she is pursuing a degree in nursing. She is employed by Self Regional Healthcare.
The bridegroom is the son of Oscar and Maltida Burton of Greenwood. He is a 1991 graduate of Greenwood High School and is employed by Capsugel.
Tracey Pickard of Charlotte, N.C., the bride’s sister, was matron of honor.
Genetta Williams of Raleigh, N.C., the bride’s sister, and Aliza Thompson and Ann Anderson, both of Greenwood, were maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kiviette Jefferson of Philadelphia, the bride’s sister, Deresa Burton and Sonja Burton, the bridegroom’s sisters, Linda Holloway, Krystail Reese, Pat Raiford and Veronica Johnson, all of Greenwood, Bonnie Poore of Abbeville and Jackie Searles of McCormick.
Ashley Anderson, Crystal Baker and Shakieviea Gilchrist, all of Greenwood, were junior bridesmaids.
Daylisha Wideman of Greenwood was flower girl.
The bride, escorted by her uncle ,Rev. Willie S. Harrison of Greenwood, wore a gown of Italian satin and schiffli lace. The bodice of the gown featured a drop waist with a cut out back decorated by draped criss-cross pearl strands. The sleeves were full-length and sheer with schiffli lace details that also accented the box pleats and the scalloped hem of the gown.
The royal-length train featured schiffli lace and decorative cut-outs.
She carried a bouquet of ivory and peach roses with baby’s breath tied with an ivory lace bow.
The matron of honor and maids of honor wore A-line gowns of peach silk, featuring high collars and full skirts.
The bridesmaids wore green satin, off-the-shoulder gowns featuring v-necks, cuffed sleeves and straight skirts with a split in front.
Best men were Rodriguez Martin and Tony Williams, both of Greenwood, and John Bowie of Bradley.
Groomsmen were Vernon Griffin, Nebuchandnezzar Burton, Marcus Holloway, Rodney Holloway, Tim Jackson and Mark Sibert, all of Greenwood, Jeffery Pickard of Charlotte, Sterling Kemp of Bradley, Reggie Talbert of Hodges and Ronnie Hearst of Columbia.
Junior groomsmen were Rodriguze Greene and Deldriguez Martin of Greenwood and Ronnie Hearst Jr. of Columbia.
Demetric Wharton of Greenwood was ringbearer.
J’uan Williams of Greenwood was Bible bearer.
The bride’s uncle, Rev. Willie Harrison, was host of a reception at the Super 8 Hotel in Greenwood.
After a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple will live in Greenwood.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Griffis Jr. of Edgefield. She is the granddaughter of H.H. Griffis Sr. of Edgefield and the late Eloise Griffis and Wallace Eubanks of Edgefield and the late Barbara Eubanks.
She is a graduate of Lander University and is employed by FujiFilm in Greenwood.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Ernest Carroll Jr., formerly of Charleston. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Ernest Carroll Sr. and the late William Glen Pannell and Edith Eisaman.
He is a graduate of Trident Technical College and attended the University of South Carolina. He is employed by FujiFilm.
Patricia Ann Brown was maid of honor.
Krystle Ann Carroll, the bridegroom’s niece, kept the guest book.
The bridegroom’s father was best man.
Ushers were Hugh Wallace Griffis, the bride’s brother, Christopher Allen Carroll and Andrew Michael Carroll, the bridegroom’s nephews.
A reception was at Pine Ridge Country Club in Edgefield.
After a wedding trip to Maui and Kauai, Hawaii, the couple will live in Greenwood.
