Willie Gray
GREENWOOD Willie Gray, 59, of 221-B Taggart Ave., passed away Jan. 15, 2001, at his home.
Born in Abbeville, he was a son of the late Thomas and Rodia Jones Gray. He was a car detailer and a member of Pine Grove AME Church, Callison Highway.
Survivors include a nephew reared in the home, Tyrone Gray of Tampa, Fla.; three sisters, Rosa Bell Williams and Jean Gray, both of Abbeville and Minnie Ruth Gray of Calhoun Falls; and four brothers, John Henry Williams of Atlanta, Thomas Gray Jr. of Calhoun Falls, Floyd Gray of Abbeville and the Rev. James Moses Gray of Hartford, Conn.
Services will be at 2 Thursday at Richie Funeral Home, Abbeville, with the Rev. James Rouse officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul AME Church Cemetery, Abbeville.
Pallbearers and flower bearers are nephews and nieces.
Visitation is at the homes of two sisters, Minnie Ruth Gray, 50 Edgewood Circle, Calhoun Falls, and Jean Gray, 518 Grey Rock Estates, Abbeville.

Martha Crocker Morrah
McCORMICK Martha Crocker Morrah, 71, of Route 1, Box 135, wife of David J. Morrah Sr., passed away Jan. 16, 2001, at Eisenhower Memorial Hospital, Fort Gordon, Ga.
Born in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Carl M. and Lula Dillingham Crocker. She retired as postmaster of Willington and was a homemaker and a former student at John de la Howe School. She was a member of Willington Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband of McCormick; two sons, David Joel Morrah Jr. and Tommy Morrah, both of McCormick; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 Thursday at Strom Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Lee Kennerly. Burial will be in Bethia Cemetery, Highway 28.
Pallbearers are Marvin Palmer Jr., Marvin Palmer Sr., Kelly Goff, J.T. McComb Sr., Johnny Brinkley and John Tom Bannister.
Visitation is from 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Ruth Rensberger
GREENWOOD Ruth Marie Grimm Rensberger, 89, of 116 Abby Drive, widow of Harry Rensberger, passed away Jan. 12, 2001, at Self Memorial Hospital.
Born in Garrett, Ind., she was a daughter of the late John D. and Cora Frederick Grimm. She moved to Greenwood five years ago from Sebring, Fla., and was a retired beautician. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and the Adult I Sunday School Class of the church.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn C. Strom of Greenwood; a brother, Ralph Grimm of Arkansas; and two granddaughters.
No service is planned at this time.

GREENWOOD Georgia Ayers Terrell, 96, of 303 Oakwood Drive, widow of Fred McConnel Terrell, passed away Jan. 15, 2001, at her home.
Born in Franklin County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late James William and Mary Elizabeth Porter Terrell. She retired from Greenwood Mills, Harris Plant, and from the Clothesline Limited of Greenwood. She was the oldest member of Harris Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, James Terrell of Greenwood and Fred Terrell of Pickens; a daughter, Delree T. Adams of Hendersonville, N.C.; two sisters, Ruth McCollum of Carnesville, Ga., and Mrs. Jimmie Phillips of Grand Island, Neb.; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 Thursday at Harris Baptist Church, with the Rev. Frank Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church at 1.
Pallbearers are Terry Smith, Darrell Porterfield, David Holmes, Fred Holmes, Alfred Cash, Larry Brown, Perry Bruce and Bobby Motte.

GREENWOOD Jesse Rashad Thompson, 11, of 161 Valley Road, passed away Jan. 16, 2001, at the Greenville Memorial Hospital System.
Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of Harold Gene and Gwendolyn Carroll Thompson. He was a sixth-grade student at Brewer Middle School
Survivors include his parents of the home; a brother, Harold Lemar Thompson, and a sister, Latoya Denise Settles, both of the home; paternal grandmother, Mary Thompson of Ninety Six; and maternal grandparents, Andrew and Odessa Carroll of Promised Land.

Howard Timms
HODGES Ollie Howard Timms, 79, of 5221 Hwy 185, husband of Irene McGee Timms, passed away Jan. 16, 2001, at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood.
Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Capers E. and Zelpha Cullens Timms. He retired from Greenwood Mills, Mathews Plant, and was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Mrs. G.B. (Vivian) Riley and Mrs. Toby (Kathy) Lee, both of Hodges; two sisters, Mrs. Carlton (Dot) Brissey of Hodges and Mrs. J.C. (Audrey) Bowie of Due West; a brother, James Oscar Timms of Hodges; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:30 Thursday at Providence Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lamar Bell and the Rev. James Bryan Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30.
Pallbearers are Toby Eugene Lee Jr., Brad Holland, David Nelson, Dan Peele, Buster Mathis, Gary Timms, Travis Reeves, Pete Branyon and Brian Timms.

William Arnett
LINCOLNTON, Ga. William Arnett, 82, of 3853 Chamberlain Ferry Road, husband of Mafelda Bradford Arnett, passed away Jan. 17, 2001, at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood.
Born in Lincoln County, he was a World War II Army veteran and a retired general contractor. He was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, where he served as treasurer of the Mens Club, and of the American Legion Post No. 194 for 50 years.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bill Arnett of Greenwood and Walter Palmer and Raymond Arnett, both of Lincolnton; four daughters, Mrs. James (Jane) Rowland and Shirley Martin, both of Greenwood, Mrs. Benny (Sandra) Pate of Blackshear and Mrs. Chuck (Teresa) McCuen of Milledgeville; a brother, Robert Arnett of Greenwood; a sister, Sara Murray of Prattville, Ala.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 Friday at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

GREENVILLE Elise Harberson Sprouse Bradberry, 94, formerly of Lawnview Court, Berea, passed away Jan. 16, 2001, at Beverly Health Care, Hendersonville.
Widow of Miller A. Sprouse and Curtis B. Bradberry, she was born in Abbeville County and was a daughter of the late Quillie Thomas and Hassie Green Harberson. She retired from Greenwood Mills and was a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Permelia S. Bolt of Greenville and Lois Jones of Greenwood; a son, James W. Sprouse Sr. of Greenville; a sister, Ida Pauline Horne of Abbeville; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 7-8:30 Friday at the funeral home.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Ora Miller Mauney. She retired from American Spinning, Cone Mills, and was a member of Morgan Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy H. Collins of Easley; a son, A. Greg Hensley of Greer; two sisters, Vera Misenheimer of Greenwood and Betty Taylor of Atlanta; and four grandchildren.
