GREENWOOD — William Head, 48, of 302-A Margaret Court, Fairfield Apartments, passed away July 27, 2000.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of Inez Williams Head and the late Willie Head. He was a member of Corner Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother of the home; two brothers, Carl C. Williams of Washington , D.C., and Matthew Head of Greenwood; and five sisters, Mat{* cq *} Williams of Washington , D.C., Rose Childs of Greenwood, Ellen Johnson of Texas and Clara Thomas and Lillie Richardson, both of Aiken.
The family is at the home.
Services will be announced by Robinson and Son Mortuary Inc., which is in charge.

HODGES — Services for Annie Ruth Cannon Smith, of 2523 Ridge Road, will be at 1 Monday at Holy Spring Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Amos Harling. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at noon.
Pallbearers are Eddie Gamble, Kenneth Carroll, Michael Carroll, Joseph Johnson, Sammie Pinson and Henry Young.
Flower bearers are members of Women’s Aid Society No. 98.

Golden Thomas Belcher
ABBEVILLE - Mrs. Golden T. Belcher, 78, of Woodview Apt. 93, passed away July 3, 2000, at Abbeville County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Abbeville County and was the daughter of the late Emroy and Mamie Thomas.
She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Surviving are a daughter, Mamie L. Dean, of Abbeville; and a grandson reared in the home, Marvin W. Dean.
The family is at the home of her daughter, 22 Sawmill Acres, Abbeville.

Mark Harrison
WATERLOO - William Mark Harrison, 46, of 153 Cochise Drive, passed away July 2, 2000.
Born in Laurens, he was a son of Frances Counts Harrison and the late Norman A. Harrison Jr. He graduated from Laurens District 55 High School and Piedmont Technical College. He was employed at Ballentine Ford, Greenwood, where he was an ASE-certified master automotive technician. He was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his mother of Laurens; and three sisters, Susan H. Nelson of Clinton, Jeannie Harrison of Laurens and Holly Harrison Findley of Waterloo.
Services will be at 3 Wednesday at Atonement Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. James R. Fox. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family is at the home of his mother, 103 Pine Road, Laurens.

Troy Lee Hathcox
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Troy Lee Hathcox, 96, formerly of Greenwood, passed away July 3, 2000, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.
The husband of Annie Hathcox, he was born in Greenville and a retired textile worker at King Mill.
He was a Baptist.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are two sons, Wallace Hathcox of Denver, Colo., and Jimmy Hathcox of Augusta; two stepsons, Tommy Scott of Greenwood and Rudy Scott of Saluda; a stepdaughter, Linda Calautti of Augusta; 24 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel in Augusta, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta.
Active pallbearers will be Mike Calautti, Mike Bell, Aric Singletary, Steven Givens, Rudy Scott and Tommy Scott.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7-9 p.m.

GREENWOOD - James Arthur “Jim” Ludlum, 43, husband of Linda Richards Ludlum of 106 Greenbriar Drive, passed away July 3, 2000, at Self Memorial Hospital.
Born in Tampa, Fla., he was the son of the late Arthur Washington and Lanora Griffin Ludlum.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a stepson, Robert Kevin Powell of Hodges; a brother, Robert Harden of Knightdale, N.C.; and one step-granddaughter.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens and conducted by Dr. R. Clayton Childers.
Active pallbearers will be Robert Godfrey Sr., William McAlister, Robert Wideman, Donnie Richards, Harry Metts and Lee Dykes.

SALUDA - Mary Naomi Duffie Miller, 97, formerly of Route 1, Hollywood School Road, widow of Joseph Talmadge “Tal” Miller, passed away July 2, 2000, at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Alonzo and Mary Irene Thrift Duffie. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Newberry Branch.
Survivors include nine grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Newberry, with burial in Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery, Saluda.
Visitation is at the church prior to the service.

John Phillips Jr.
ABBEVILLE - John Phillips Jr., 72, husband of Annie Paul Phillips, passed away at his home at 720 Secession Ave. July 4, 2000, following a short illness.
He was a faithful member of the Long Cane AME Church, where he served on the steward board, as a class leader and a member of the Sunday School.
He was retired from CSX Railroad after 41 years of service.
Surviving are his wife of the home, a daughter, Mrs. Hattie Pearl Martin of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a nephew reared in the home, Harry Williams; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Garlington of Evanston, Ill., Mrs. Ada Jean Taylor of Chicago, and Mrs. Onie Panky of Camden, N.J.; two brothers, Eugene Phillips of Philadelphia and Milton Phillips of Abbeville; one grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Thomas Louis Rollinson
ABBEVILLE - Thomas L. Rollinson, 72, of 121 Oaklawn Drive, passed away July 3, 2000, at Abbeville Nursing Home.
He was the husband of Inez Collier Rollinson.
He was born in Abbeville County and was the son of the late John C. and Mattie Greene Rollison.
He was a retired employee of the City of Abbeville. He was a member of Westside Church of Christ.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are four sons: Willie J. Collier, Johnny Rollinson, Theodore Rollinson and Rudolph Rollinson, all of Abbeville; two daughters, Thomasina Rollinson of Abbeville and Mattie Rollinson Julien of Anderson; two sisters, Ella Rollinson of Abbeville and Thelma Rollinson of Maryland; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Jannie Ware and Charlene Rollinson.
The family is at the home of a daughter, Thomasina Rollinson, 108 Oaklawn Drive, Abbeville.

Lula Mae Tynes
MIAMI - Lula Mae Tynes, 79, widow of Robert Tynes, passed away July 2, 2000, at North Shore Hospital.
Born in Greenwood County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Calliham and Lillie Brown Cater. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Greenwood, and St. John Baptist Church in Miami.
She was the last member of her immediate family.
