CRENSHAW, Miss. — Services for Willis Tremaine Drennon will be at 2 Saturday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Greenwood, S.C., conducted by the Rev. Thomas Duncan. The body will be placed in the church at 1. Burial will be in Mount Zion AME Church Cemetery, McCormick County, S.C.
Pallbearers are Sherman Hawkins, Marshall Hawkins, Daniel Callaham, Micheal Callaham, Ashton Rodgers, Dauphus Scott and Daryl Scott.

IRMO — Susan Heath Easterling, 46, wife of David L. Easterling Sr., passed away Oct. 17, 2000.
Born in Fort Ord, Calif., she was a daughter of Sue Wrenn Heath and the late William R. Heath Sr. She was an employee of Wachovia Bank and a member of St. Martin’s-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her husband of Irmo; her mother of Columbia; a stepson, David Lee Easterling Jr. of Irmo; a brother, William R. Heath Jr. of Troy; and a sister, Kathryn Heath McGrew of Columbia.
Services will be at 3 Sunday at St. Martin’s-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church, with burial in the church memorial garden.
Visitation is at the church after the service.

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. — C. Donald Justus Sr., 78, husband of Margaret H. Justus, passed away Oct. 19, 2000, at the VA Medical Center in Asheville.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Donny Justus of Greenwood, S.C.; three daughters, Dianne Justus Derrick of Alpharetta, Ga., and Vicky Justus Ott and Jennifer Justus Daly, both of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; three sisters, Dorothy Sitton of Hendersonville and Elizabeth Carter and Evelyn Mills, both of Florence, S.C.; two brothers, Tommy Justus of Florence and Robert Justus, of Eden; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Ralph G. Hill. Burial will be in Oak Dale Cemetery.

Velma C. Kernell
LAURENS — Velma Ruth Cavender Kernell, 73, of 375 Bobo Road, passed away Oct. 18, 2000, at National Health Care Center.
Born in Baxter, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Reid and Hattie Harkins Cavender. She retired from Monsanto, was a member of Lucas Avenue Baptist Church and attended Laurens Church of God of Prophecy.
Survivors include two sons, David Kernell and Michael Kernell, both of Laurens; two brothers, Paul Cavender of Ninety Six and Ronald Cavender of Laurens; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kennedy Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. John Pitts. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation is from 7-8:30 tonight at the mortuary.

WARE SHOALS — C. Jarvis Lothridge, 62, of 4060 Poplar Springs Road, passed away Oct. 19, 2000, at his home.
Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Elbert Washington and Inez Horne Lothridge. He was on of the Original Forty of Hickory Tavern Fire Department, where he served as chief for 10 years. He was of the Church of God faith and retired from Lothridge Brothers Oil Co.
Survivors include three son, Curtis Lothridge and Carlton Lothridge, both of Laurens and Billy Wayne Lothridge of Greenwood; a brother, Bob Lothridge of Laurens; three sisters, Kathleen Sweat of Bradley, Hazel Howard of Enoree and Sybil Lothridge of Ware Shoals; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 Saturday at Parker-White Funeral Home, conducted by the Revs. Roy Burroughs, Al Hill and Chris Stansell. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

GREENWOOD — Zona Caldwell Bearden Shumate, 87, of 101 Lauren Circle, widow of John L. Shumate, passed away Oct. 18, 2000, at Self Memorial Hospital.
Born in Hartford, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late John William and Mackie Della Fish Caldwell. She retired from Bloomsberg Mill, Abbeville, and was a member of New Market Baptist Church and the Lucille Moore Sunday School Class.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Suggs and Barbara Kowalski, both of Greenwood; two sons, Melvin Bearden of Hodges and Wayne Bearden of Greenwood; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 Saturday at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Buddy Wiles. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

GREENWOOD — Irma Parkman Coursey, 80, of 100 Windsor Oaks, passed away Oct. 20, 2000, at Self Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Earl E. and Ruth Cook Parkman. She graduated from Greenwood High School and retired from Belk Department Store after 40 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Benson Sunday School Class of the church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. William H. (Vicky) Hudgens of Greenwood and Judy C. Butchart of Greenville; a son, James T. “Jim” Coursey of Greenwood; a sister, Vivian “Sis” Parkman of the home; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:30 Sunday at Blyth Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. J. William Harris. Entombment will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum.

GREENWOOD — Mary Eunice Byers Kelly, 85, of 805 Wright Ave., widow of Robert Lee Kelly, passed away Oct. 20, 2000, at Self Memorial Hospital.
Born in Rutherford, N.C., she was a daughter of the late W.Y. and Claudia L. Byers. She retired from Greenwood Mills, Durst Plant, and was a member of South Main Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Amona Sunday School Class.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Going of Ninety Six and Betty Byars of Blacksburg; a son, Jewell L. Kelly of Greenwood; two brothers, the Rev. Morris Byers and Garland Byers, both of Forest City, N.C.; 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:30 Sunday at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Revs. Ryan Eklund, Richard McWhite and David Corbett. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Kimberly Ray Robinson
NEW YORK – Kimberly Ray Robinson, 41, was born in Greenwood to the late Walter Fred Robinson and Mamie Lee Robinson. He passed away October 12, 2000 in New York City.
He completed his formal education in Greenwood County schools. While living here, Robinson was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where served on the usher board and in the junior choir.
His adult years were spent in Charlotte, N.C. where he attended Charlotte Berean Church and the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Charlotte.
Survivors include his mother and three sisters, Celestine Basson, Alanta Yvette and Gwendolyn Robinson, all of New York City; three brothers, Ervin Robinson of New York, Stanley Robinson of Atlanta and Walter Robinson of Charlotte; and three nieces and two nephews.
Services will be Sunday at 1 at 1801 Double Oaks Road in Charlotte.
