WASHINGTON, D.C. — Almena Cannon passed away Sept. 23, 2000, at District of Columbia General Hospital.
Survivors include a son, Michael Cannon of Greenwood, S.C.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Washington , D.C., with burial in Harmony Memorial Park.

Harold ‘Bobby’ Cobb
GREER — Harold Herman “Bobby” Cobb, 73, of 1314 W. Poinsett St., husband of Bobbie Crain Cobb, passed away Sept. 30, 2000, at his home.
Born in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Claude H. and Annie Alberta Craft Cobb. He was a member and past deacon of Southside Baptist Church. He worked at Lyman Printing and Finishing Co. for 35 years and retired from General Electric. He was a member of American Legion Post 115, past president of Greater Greenville Men’s Bowling Association, former coach of Little League baseball and a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three sons, the Rev. David H. Cobb of Abbeville, Carey W. Cobb of Wellford and Steve Cobb of Greer; a daughter, Kim Duck of Greer; two brothers, Billy E. Cobb and Douglas Cobb, both of Lyman; two sisters, Betty Campbell and Linda Pittman, both of Landrum; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 Monday at Southside Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Jamey Ellis, David Cobb and Tom Leonard and Dr. Jerry White. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Richard Pittman, Chris Pittman, Kenny Cobb, Matt Cobb, Jeffrey Cobb, John Farmer and E.J. Oliver.
Honorary escorts are members of all the Men’s Bible Classes and Senior Adult Fellowship Group of the church.

PIEDMONT — Thomas Earl Cowart, 43, of 6 Luker Road, husband of Wanda Luker Cowart, passed away Sept. 29, 2000.
He was a former Terminix exterminator and a member of Free Life Christian Ministries, Greenville.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Tabitha Nicole Cowart of Greenwood; a son, Michael Anthony Cowart of Greenwood; two stepsons, Scotty Burgess and Brian Burgess, both of Piedmont; his father and stepmother, Thomas J. and Jean Cowart of Wewahitichaka, Fla.; his mother and stepfather, Earline and Dwight Smith of Greenwood; three sisters, Cynthia Smith Lewis, Penny Smith Chalmers and Kay Darlene Smith, all of Greenwood; four stepbrothers, Lonnie Stanley of Colorado and Frankie Stanley, Johnny Stanley and Ronnie Stanley, all of Wewahitichaka; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 Monday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with burial in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.

GREENWOOD — Eva Duncan, 82, of National Health Care Center, Greenwood, passed away Sept. 30, 2000, at Self Memorial Hospital.

WARE SHOALS — Cecil Vaughn Fox, 86, widow of Francis J. Fox, passed away Sept. 30, 2000, at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood.
Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Lena Kelly Vaughn. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church and retired as a supervisor at Tavern Sportswear Manufacturing Co.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana F. Whitt of Greenville and Sherry F. Herring of Columbia; a sister, Ruth V. Babb of Ware Shoals; and a grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Harmony United Methodist Church, conducted by the Revs. Michael Bingham, Billy Slatten and Raymond Todd. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at Parker-White Funeral Home.

CROSS HILL — Nancy Pearl Ebo Golden, of 192 John Grant St., widow of Levi Golden, passed away Sept. 24, 2000 at Laurens County Hospital.
Born in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Eliza Jones Ebo. She was a member of St. Vaughnville Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Lurleen Williams of the home.
Services will be at 3:30 today at St. Vaughnville Baptist Church, Chappells, with burial in the church cemetery.

CLINTON — Harry Calvin Morris, 77, of National Health Care in Clinton, passed away Sept. 28, 2000, at his home.
Born in Durham, N.C., he was a son of the late William Lancelot and Emma Elizabeth Morris Morris. He was a ticket marker in the tobacco industry and a residential painter. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan M. Hodges of Greenwood; and a grandson.
A memorial service will be in Fuquay, N.C., at a later date.

CLINTON — Marie Young Reeder, 81, of 260 Blakelyville Road, widow of Simmie Reeder Sr., passed away Sept. 27, 2000, at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood.
Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Rose Lee Young.
Survivors include three daughters, Mattie Wesley, Sarah Waldon and Linda Davis, all of Clinton; three sons, Bennie Lee Reeder of Colorado Springs, Colo., Simmie Reeder Jr. of Newberry and Tommy Reeder of Kinards; a sister, Mary Scott of Clinton; a brother, the Rev. James Robinson of Abbeville; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

BATESBURG-LEESVILLE — David Whitt, 54, husband of Mary L. Whitt, passed away Sept. 28, 2000.
Born in Saluda County, he worked for Mabus Construction Co.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Tatshi Small and Annie Harris, both of Batesburg; two stepdaughters, Mary Dozier and Jill Wise, both of Batesburg; a son, Dwight Davis of Batesburg; a stepson, Maurice Harris; five sisters, two brothers; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 Sunday at Ridge Branch Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

ANTREVILLE — Ruby McClain Brock Bowen, 83, of Magnolia Manor, Greenwood, formerly of Antreville, widow of Stuckey Bowen, passed away Oct. 18, 2000, at Magnolia Manor.
Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Fannie Stone McClain. She was a retired shirt plant supervisor and a member of First Creek Baptist Church. She was twice married, first to the late Reece Brock.
Survivors include a son, George Carroll Brock of Marietta, Ga.; three stepdaughters, Alice Jo Dickey of Greenwood, Linda Wakefield of Savannah Lakes, McCormick, and Anne Clarke of Bloomsburg, Pa.; a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville, conducted by the Rev. Donnie Murdock and the Rev. Charles Fuller. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories near Belton.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.

LOS ANGELES — Beatrice Hunter Bradford, 64, of 5640 Santa Monica Blvd., formerly of Calhoun Falls, S.C., widow of Little Milton Bradford, passed away Oct. 2, 2000, at Queen of Angels Medical Center.
Born in Calhoun Falls, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Jadie Hunter. She was a Catholic and a former member of Brownoh AME Church of Calhoun Falls.
Survivors include a son, Christopher Day of the home; two sisters, Evelyn Sanders and Amanda Hunter, both of Calhoun Falls; two brothers, Solomon Hunter and Singleton Hunter, both of Calhoun Falls; and five grandchildren.
Services were held in Los Angeles. The cremated remains will be inurned in Brownoh AME Church Cemetery, Calhoun Falls.
