WARE SHOALS — Mamie S. Boland Reid, 84, widow of Lewis Carl Reid, passed away June 6, 2000, at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood.
A daughter of the late Eugene Boyce and Lula Anderson Boland of Ware Shoals, she was a member of The First Baptist Church of Laurens and the Ruth Roper Sunday School Class.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Glenn (Julia) Babb and Mrs. J.T. (Nell) Culbertson, both of Ware Shoals, Mrs. Bill (Martha) Mattison of Honea Path and Mrs. Lewis (Doris) Culbertson of Greenwood.
Services will be at 3 Friday at Parker-White Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Bev T. Kennedy Jr. and the Rev. Todd Horton. Burial will be in Laurens City Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2-3 Friday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of Nell Culbertson, Poplar Springs Road.

William D. Terwilliger
AIKEN — William D. Terwilliger, 78, passed away June 7, 2000.
Born in Aiken, he was a son of the late William P. and Hazel Oliveros Terwilliger. He retired from Aiken Electric Cooperative after 45 years of service. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Paula Berry of Ridge Spring; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

GREENWOOD - Ronald Davis, 42, of 661 Gage St., passed away May 9, 2000, at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Roosevelt Settles and Rose Mary Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie P. Davis of Greenwood; a stepson, Vyus Fuller of Columbia; a stepdaughter, Cynthia Fuller of Greenwood; four brothers, Tony Davis of Charlotte, N.C., Gerald Davis and Donnie Ray Davis, both of Greenwood and Anthony Davis of Atlanta; and three grandchildren.
The family is at the home of his wife, Minnie Davis, 208 Bintage Road, Greenwood.
Services will be announced by Percival-Tompkins Funeral Home, which is in charge.
Nezzie J. Enlow
PROSPERITY -- Nezzie Jones Enlow, 85, of 171 Three Oaks Court, passed away May 8, 2000.
Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth Duncan Jones. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church and a retiree of St. Paul Day Care.
Survivors include a son, B.W. Enlow of West Columbia; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 Thursday at East Side Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Bryan Parris. Burial will be in Ridge Crest Memorial Park.

SALUDA --Noah Gerald Kirkland, 86, of Route 4, passed away May 9, 2000, at Lexington Medical Center.
Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late Jess and Sally Jennings Kirkland. He retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the Philippines, and a member of Sardis Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Geraldine K. Barton of Saluda, and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 Thursday at Sardis Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 7-8 tonight at Ramey Funeral Home.

ENOREE --Mary Frances Roberts Miller, 77, of 450 New Hope Church Road, widow of Aaron C. Miller, passed away May 8, 2000, at Laurens County Hospital.
Born in Laurens, she was a daughter of Jessie and Lillie Robinson Roberts.
Survivors include three sons, Aaron C. Miller Jr. of Waterloo and Johnny K. Miller and Michael R. Miller, both of Cross Anchor; two daughters, Sylvia Smith of Enoree and Frances Miller of the home; three sisters, Jewel Curry and Doris Woods, both of Gray Court and Mildred Jones of Waterloo; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

WATERLOO -- Ariel G. “Sax” Saxon Jr., 69, of 1627 Relax St., husband of Eva Harmon Saxon, passed away May 9, 2000, at his home.
Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of Bernice Taylor Saxon and the late Ariel G. Saxon Sr. He retired from Snipes Construction of Laurens and was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife and mother, both of the home; two daughters, Susan Cooper of Waterloo and Eva Marie Chastine of Ware Shoals; a son, Ronald Saxon of Laurens; a brother, James W. Saxon of Warner Robins, Ga.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 Thursday at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. James Bannister and the Rev. Gerald Crawford. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

COLUMBIA -- Evelyn “Tulip Lady” Sheppard, 99, passed away May 7, 2000.
Born in Saluda, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Belle Peurifoy Sheppard. She was a member of Shandon United Methodist Church and was the first lady to serve as a steward in the United Methodist Church. She was retiree from Judge Harry Lightsey’s office, where she was a clerk in the Master-in-Equity Office. She attended Due West College (now Erskine College).
Survivors include two sisters, Mr. Earl (Ruth) S. Friedell of Columbia and Mrs. Almon (Frances) Collins of West Columbia.
Services will be at 1 Thursday at Shandon United Methodist Church, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 6-8 tonight at Greenlawn Funeral Home and after the services in the community room of the funeral home.

Born in Warren County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late William Thomas and Mary McDonald Rabun. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Augusta, Ga., where she was a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class and a former Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include three daughters, Evalyn Saxon of Greenwood, Elaine Evans of Stockbridge, Ga., and Wanda Howard of Appling, Ga.; a son, William Roy Thigpen Jr. of Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were at 2 Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church in Augusta, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation was Monday at Elliott Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, Augusta.

Born in Laurens, she was the daughter of Paul and Vera Cooper Riddle of Owings. She was a former employee of Laurens School District 55 and a member of Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband of the home; her parents; a daughter, Angela A. Compton of Laurens; a son, Bradley L. Abercrombie of Laurens; a brother, Wayne Riddle of Greenpond; four sisters, Linda R. Smallwood of Fountain Inn, Paula R. Shealy and Ann R. Lawrence, both of Laurens and Nancy R. McCall of Ninety Six; and a grandson.
Services will be at 3 today at Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
