Born in Chesterfield Co., SC, he was a son of the late Hudson and Pearl Blackwell King. He was a member of Union United Methodist Church. He retired from Sonoco after 35 years and was a member of the Sonoco Old Timers Club. Born in Clarendon Co., SC, he was a son of the late John Rollins and Emily Stone Gibson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Hartsville Masonic Lodge #173, York Rite, and the Omar Shrine. He served his country during WWII as a radio operator in the 1st Army, 5th Corps, 56th Signal Battalion. He was a co-owner and operator, along with his late wife, of Gibson's IGA Foodliner for over 25 years. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and was active in the community. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Gibson and Donnie K. Smith of Hartsville, SC; son and daughter-in-law, Hugh Eldridge and Estelle Gibson, Jr. of Augusta, GA; grandchildren, Corey Rollins Smith of Hartsville, SC, Cedric Gibson of Augusta, GA, Christophe Gibson of Augusta, GA; great-grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Cameron Smith; niece, Aileen Teucher Abbott of Sumter, SC. He was preceded in death by his grandchild, Adrian Smith; sisters, Lila Boyce, Olivia Outlaw.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed nature and gardening. Home Ave., Hartsville SC, 29550 or to a charity of one's choice, Mrs. Coggeshall died Saturday, June 26, 2010. Born in Wichita Falls, TX, she was a daughter of the late Chester Lawrence and Thelma Jean Armstrong Harvey. Her father was killed in a military airplane crash prior to her birth and she was lovingly raised by her mother and stepfather, Col. Robert Craven Drum. Growing up she lived in New Hampshire, New York, Tennessee, Virginia, Kansas, Hawaii and Panama. She graduated from Queens College in Charlotte, NC in 1966 with an AB degree in English Literature. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hartsville and the Spring Beauty Garden Club. Over the years she was an active volunteer in a number of church, educational and civic organizations, and in 1991 she received a special recognition from the SC Board of Education for her significant contributions to the public schools. Mrs. Coggeshall is survived by her husband of 43 years, Peter Collin Coggeshall, Jr. of Hartsville, who she married in Topeka, KS in 1967; son and daughter-in-law, Collin Drum and Melissa Hayes Coggeshall of Daniel Island, SC; grandsons, Peter Hayes Coggeshall and Weston Howard Coggeshall, also of Daniel Island; sisters, Linda Harvey Ireland of Memphis, TN, Deborah Drum (Ward) Holliday of Dallas, TX. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at McLeod Regional Medical Center and Carolina Health Care with special appreciation to Dr. James C. H.
