Mr. Gutowski, husband of the late Elizabeth Allen Gutowski, died Thursday, January 20, 2005. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Stephen and Stella Walanski Gutowski. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
Surviving are son, Michael Gutowski of Columbia; daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and John Malovic of Columbia; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter, Catherine Harrison.
Eanion Martin
COLUMBIA — Services for Ms. Eanion Faye Martin, of Q-109 Hunt End Ct., will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Brookland Baptist Church, with entombment in Memorial Gardens of Columbia. Palmer Memorial Chapel is in charge.
Ms. Martin died Wednesday, January 19, 2005. Born in West Point, NY, she was the daughter of Joseph C. Martin and the late Rosena Jackson Martin. She was a graduate of Columbia College. She was a member of Brookland Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board, Homeless Ministry was a Den Mother and worked with the Bantu families. She was employed as a financial examiner with the Department of Insurance.
Surviving are her father of NY; sisters, JoAnn (Robert) Brown and Rita Everhard; brothers, Harry (Reatha) Chestnut, Jr. and Barry D. Martin.
Waymond Richburg
CROSS — Services for Waymond Richburg, 67, are noon Saturday at Zion UMC, burial in Richburg Memorial Garden. Eutawville Community Funeral Home, Eutawville, is in charge. Born in Berkeley Co. to Henry Sr. and Wilhelmenia Richburg, he died Jan. 18, 2005. Surviving: wife, Jestine; father; children, Sharon West, Florence Bullard, Georgia Middleton, Waymond Jr., J.P., Reginald, Donnel Richburg.
Carrie Shealy
POMARIA — Services for Carrie Lou K. Shealy will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Matthews Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Shealy, 88, widow of Roy P. Shealy, died January 19, 2005. Born in Pomaria, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Carrie Harmon Kinard. She was a former employee of G.E. and a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a son, Palmer Shealy of Pomaria; a daughter, Joanne S. Pollack of Batesburg; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Alene Bolton
DENMARK — Services for Edith Alene Keeney Bolton, 89, will be eleven a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2005, at Denmark Presbyterian Church with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia at 1:30 p.m. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Thornwell Home for Children, P.O. Box 60, Clinton, SC 29325-0060. Mrs. Bolton, wife of the late Charles Napier Bolton, died Wednesday. Born in Covington, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Claude Canandy Keeney and Eliza Jane Wilson Keeney. She retired from Ness Department Store in Denmark. A member of the Denmark Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the Congaree Presbyterian Church. She was very active in the community and her church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Charles Edward “Eddie” and Vivian R. Bolton, of North Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Michelle and Matthew Fairfax, Lynn and Ashley Bolton; great grandchildren, Christopher and Abby Fairfax.
