Victor Lee Holley Sr.
Funeral services for Victor Lee Holley Sr., 56, of 202 Hampton Chase Circle, Orangeburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at Olive Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. J. R. Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Olive Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The casket will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. the day of service.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Mr. Holley died Wednesday, Jan. 21, at his home after a brief illness.
He was born Nov. 11, 1952, in Bronx, N.Y., a son of the late A. C. Holley and Rosa Holley Wright.
Survivors include his wife, Evangelist Carolyn Holley; sons, Jahlil (Anjanette) Mack of Bronx, N.Y., Rashik (Danish) Holley of Gainesville, Ga. and Victor (Angie) Holley Jr. of Marietta, Ga.; mother, Rosa Wright; twin sister, Victoria L. Holley; sisters, Linda Nelson and Kecia Holley; three brothers, Johnny, Alvin (Joerita) and Michael Holley; three granddaughters, Taya, Ahmaya and Desirae; a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at E.T. Jones Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the home of his widow, Evangelist Carolyn Holley, 202 Hampton Chase Circle, and the E.T. Jones Funeral Home.
Mrs. Delores Summers Freeman
Funeral services for Mother Delores Summers Freeman, of 755 Whitman St., formerly of 346 Dibble St., Bowman, will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at Bowman Temple Church of God in Christ in Bowman, with the Superintendent Alonzo Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the New Covenant United Methodist Church Cemetery, Highway No. 210.
The casket will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mother Freeman entered into eternal rest on Jan. 19, at Orangeburg Nursing Home, following an extended illness.
She was born May 20, 1930, in Bowman, a daughter of the late Marion and Marie Garvin Summers. She received her early education in Bowman and later attended the Midwife School. She served her community and humanity as a nurse midwife, delivering many babies in and around the Bowman community. Her work in the healthcare field continued even after she moved to Alexandria, Va., and worked at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. and Circle Terrace Hospital in Alexandria, Va., , serving as a surgical technician until her retirement.
Mother Freeman was the wife of the late Benjamin Freeman. The couple resided in Alexandria, Va., and this union was blessed with one daughter, Deborah.
Mother Freeman was a dedicated member of the Bowman Temple Church of God in Christ, where she served as a member of the Mother Board, the Women's Department and attended Sunday School and Noonday Prayer Service regularly until her health began to decline. She loved praising God and spreading the wonders of His works.
Left to cherish the memories are: her loving daughter, Deborah (James) Jones of Lorton, Va.; her devoted grandson, Jamal Turner of Lorton, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Albertha S. Oliver of Bowman; two brothers, Marion (Mary) Summers Jr. of Bowman and Gene (Delores) Summers of Suitland, Md.; two special nieces, Mrs. Barbara Garvin of Rowesville and Mrs. Mildred (Reddick) Richardson of Bowman; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the residence of her niece, Mr. and Mrs. Reddick (Mildred) Richardson, 951 Reevesville Road, and at Bethea's Funeral Home of Orangeburg.
Camilla B. Williams
Camilla B. Williams of Orangeburg, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009.
Funeral services will be announced by Dukes-Harley Funeral Home.

Nina M. Graham -- Orangeburg
Miss Nina M. Graham, 94, of 1000 Methodist Oaks Drive, Orangeburg, died Tuesday morning, December 16, 2008, at The Oaks.
Graveside Service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, December 18, at Zion United Methodist Church cemetery in Anderson, with the Rev. Michael Hub officiating.
Miss Graham was born in Anderson, a daughter of the late Henry Clay Graham and Rosa Sears Graham. She was graduated from the Columbia Hospital Training School for Nurses in 1942 as a registered nurse. She retired from Richland Memorial Hospital as Coordinator of In-Service Education. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Parish Episcopal Church in Fort Motte. Miss Graham was devoted to all of her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. “Big Nina” and “Big” were the names she was affectionately called by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters Florrie G. Wilson, Elizabeth G. Davis, Creola G. McCain, Nell G. Murphy, Kate G. Williams, and Frances G. Reid and her brothers Floyd Graham, Gene Graham, and K.R. Graham.
Survivors are nieces, Ann D. Garrett, Rose M. Geddie, Dorothy W. Stone, Rachel W. Nunnally, Nina R. Mack and Mary R. Pittman; nephews, Joe Graham, James Davis and Samuel F. Reid Jr.
After the service her family will be greeting friends in the Zion Church Fellowship Hall.
Visitation will be held at the home of Francis and Nina Mack, 656 Fort Motte Road, Fort Motte, on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, from 6 to 7:30 PM.

Mrs. Frances Felder Sistrunk
Mrs. Frances Felder Sistrunk, 60, of 7225 Fire Lane Road, Columbia, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Ruth Kemmerlin Wardlow
Mrs. Ruth Kemmerlin Wardlow died September 13, 2007, in Tulsa, Okla. She was also predeceased by a brother, Walter Kemmerlin Jr. of Orangeburg. His name was inadvertently left out of her obituary.
Ruth G. Shuler

SANTEE – Mrs. Ruth Griffin Shuler, 75, of the Providence Community, wife of Ted Shuler, died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the MUSC Hospital in Charleston.
The funeral will be 4 o’clock Tuesday at the Providence United Methodist Church with Rev. Karen E. Starr officiating. Burial will follow in the Island Cemetery.
Mrs. Shuler was born October 23, 1931 in Vance, a daughter of the late Hobson Griffin and Tiny Felkel Griffin. She was a graduate of Providence High School and was co-owner of Elloree Builders Supply. An active member of Providence United Methodist Church, she was a Sunday School Teacher and belonged to the Maria Wightman Circle of the UMW.
Mrs. Shuler was completely dedicated to her family and community, and was an avid supporter of Holly Hill Academy Athletics.
Surviving are her husband of the home; sons, Howard (Gwen) Shuler, Michael (Cindy) Shuler, Otis (Kim) Shuler, and Dahl (Karen) Shuler, all of the Providence Community; a brother, Herman Griffin of Santee; grandchildren, Nicole (Rob) Sheffield of Laurens, Candice (Trey) McGriff, Kristen Shuler, Corey Shuler, Ashley Shuler, Sara Shuler, James Shuler, all of the Providence Community; great-grandchildren, Brian Sheffield and Mason McGriff, and a long-time family friend, Leon Steward.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 o’clock Monday at the Providence United Methodist Church.
