Funeral services for Paul Hardee, 84, of Williston, SC will be held two p.m., Sunday, November 21, 2010 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Dukes officiating. Burial will be at the Edisto Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from five to seven p.m., Saturday, November 20th at Folk Funeral Home, Williston. Mr. Hardee passed away Friday November 19, 2010.

Born in Horry County, he was a son of the late Gertie Dorman Hardee. Mr. Hardee was a retired mechanic having worked for Chevrolet in Conway, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Aiken and Timmerman Olds. Mr. Hardee formerly owned and operated Hardee’s Alignment in Burnettown, SC and was a member of Edisto Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ella Mae Jacobs Hardee of the home; sons, Carl Edward Hardee and Bobby Gene Hardee; grandchildren, Jimmie (Tammy) Hardee, Jr., Edward (Carol) Hardee, Chip (Ashley) Hardee, Mari (Tony) Argoe; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmie Hardee, Sr., and a granddaughter, Angela Hardee.

Graveside Funeral Services for Emaleen Corley Kneece Orrock, 77, of Lexington will be held three p.m. Friday, November 12, 2010 at The Blackville Cemetery, Blackville, SC. The family will receive friends from five to seven p.m. on Thursday at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Memorial contributions may be sent to Blackville Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 365, Blackville, SC 29817. Mrs. Emaleen passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010.

Born in Lexington, SC she was a daughter of the late Hugh Reeder and Mazie Roberts Corley. She was first married to the late Dr. James Frank Kneece and was the widow of John Henry Orrock. She was a graduate of Columbia College with a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Music, was a graduate of the University of SC with a Master’s Degree in Music and a Doctorate in Pharmacy. She formerly taught public school in Barnwell, SC and was a pharmacist having worked for a number of pharmacies including Epps Pharmacy and Winn Army Hospital at Fort Stewart, GA.

Survivors include sons, Steve C. Kneece of Newberry, SC, Daniel R. Kneece of Los Angeles, CA and Drs. Robert H. (Shilpa Srinivasan) Kneece of Columbia, SC; grandson, Vikram James Kneece.

Florrie Rachel Carter Dooley

Funeral services for Florrie Rachel Carter Dooley, 96, of Barnwell, SC will be held 3 o’clock p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Dillon, SC with the Reverends Dr. Charles F. Dooley, Rev. Dexter Lambert, Rev. Edgar Foster and Rev. Billy McLellan officiating, burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Dillon, SC. The Family will receive friends Monday Oct. 4, 2010 from six to eight p.m. at Folk Funeral Home in Williston, SC and also Tuesday two hours prior to the service at the church in Dillon, SC. The Lighthouse Sunday school class will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mrs. Dooley passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday.

Born in Marion, SC she was a daughter of the late Mike and Bertha Christmas Carter. Mrs. Dooley was a retired LPN having worked at Marion Memorial Hospital for many years and formally worked for Bell South Telephone Company. She served in the Christian ministry for over 55 years, was in the senior adult Lighthouse Sunday school class, formally taught the teen boys Sunday school class, she was director of the woman’s missionary union, girls auxiliary, vacation bible school, and Christian education director, and was in the adult choir. Served as a Cub Scout den mother, was a Boy Scout leader and was married to the late Melvin Charles Dooley.

Survivors include her son; Charles Dooley, Sr. and Janice of Barnwell, SC; sister; Christine and Leon Morris of Dillon; brother; Don and Carol Dooley of Sellersburg, IN, grandchildren; Kelly and Vic Brown of Lexington, SC, Chuck Dooley II and Ashley of Blackville, SC, great-grand children, Meagan and Zachary Dooley of Williston, SC, Cale Brown of Lexington, SC, Jordan and Jackson Brown of Fort Mill, SC, Jake Landon Foster Dooley of Blackville, and Isabella Lane Hiller of Hampton, SC, nieces and nephews; Terry and Janice Morris, Brenda Harrellson, Kristie and Eric Clark, Cindy and Chuck Crum, Angela and Fred Serger and Christopher Rockey. Lifelong friend, Lizzie Sweat, and special friends, Elizabeth Cook, Rita Edwards and Phyllis Barry.

Mrs. Dooley was preceded in death by brothers; Harry, Bryan, Luke and Foster Carter.

Burial will be in the Edisto Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Rachell passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2010.

Born in Barnwell, SC, she was the daughter of Ilaina Mayer and Johnny Scarborough of Williston and Thomas H. and Linda Stevens, Jr. of Sullivan, New Hampshire. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Brandon Bailey and daughter, Scarlett Bailey of the home; daughter, Alexis Bomher of Duncan, SC; son, Christopher Cormier; brother, Jarett Stevens both of Sullivan, New Hampshire; step-brothers, David Cormier of Sullivan, New Hampshire and Anthony Cormier of Westmoreland, New Hampshire; paternal grandfather, Thomas Stevens, Sr. and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward Mayer, Sr., Ben and Margaret Best and Mary Lou Stevens.

Gladys Fowler Lee

Gladys Fowler Lee, 69, peacefully passed away on September 28, 2010 surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held three p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2010 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Rev. Bobby Frederick officiating. Burial will be in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ascension Hospice, 7142 Woodrow Street, Irmo, SC 29063.

Born in Laurens, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ed Fowler and Amelia Kemp Fowler Scott. She resided in Gilbert, SC.

Gladys is survived by her husband, best friend, confidant and business partner of over 50 years, J. Wendell Lee; son Randy (Ann) Lee, grandsons Cody and Dustin of Lexington; daughter Adrianne (Murray) Bazemore, grandchildren Morgan and Nicholas of Pelion; son Greg (Stephany) Lee, grandsons Carson, Spencer, and Preston of Lexington; daughter Stacey Lee Sawyer, grandsons Andrew and Joshua of Gilbert; her faithful companions Sweetpea and Cricket. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Brandon Zachary Lee. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Walker of Williston; mother-in-law, Lila Lee of Williston; sisters-in-law Lila Simmons of Williston and Shirley (Wayne) Pitts of Graniteville; one nephew and nine nieces.

Erma Nell Morris Johnson

Frederick Orr and Dr. Thomas Terry officiating. Burial will be in the Blackville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Terry Lee will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Memorial contributions may be sent to Blackville Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 365, Blackville, SC 29817 or The March of Dimes, SC Chapter, 240 Stoneridge Drive, Ste. 206, Columbia, SC 29210. Mrs. Johnson died on Friday, October 22, 2010.

Born in Olar, SC, Erma was a daughter of the late Norman George Morris and Nellie Bly Cook Morris and was married to the late Grady Odessa Johnson. When she was 12 years old, Erma’s father taught her to drive his Model T Ford. She earned her high school diploma from Blackville High School in 1929. She was a member of the Blackville First Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunbeam teacher and was a member of the church choir. Mrs. Johnson operated a dairy and egg business many years ago and later worked as an insurance debitor. She and her husband operated several stores in Blackville over the years. For years, she kept books for the farm and managed it for one year after her husband’s death. For 28 years, much of her time was spent caring for her adult daughter who contracted polio in 1959 and lived until 1987 as a quadriplegic. Mrs. Johnson was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she was always very self-sufficient and independent.

Survivors include granddaughter, Kathy Berry Orr and her husband Rev. Frederick Orr; great granddaughter, Kathryn Liana Orr; grandson, William Grady Berry; sister, Evelyn Morris Gray and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Odessa Johnson; daughter, Anita Johnson Berry; brothers, Earl Morris and Norman George (Buster) Morris, Jr.

Joseph Lee (Jake) Blackmon, Jr.

Funeral services for Joseph Lee (Jake) Blackmon, Jr., 78, of Windsor, SC will be held eleven a.m., Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 at the First Baptist of Windsor with the Revs. Bobby Paschal and Jimmy Wingate officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery will full military honors accorded. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Friday, October 22nd at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Jolley, Michael Franklin, Frank Mizell, Uncle James Barron, William Todd, Billy Key, and Rick Baker. Memorial contributions may be sent to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 170 Westpark Blvd., Ste. 150, Columbia, SC 29210. Mr. Blackmon passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at his home.

Born in New Ellenton, SC he was a son of the late Joseph Lee Blackmon, Sr. and Lillie Grace Hankinson Blackmon Eubanks. Mr. Blackmon was a retired US Army Veteran having served during Desert Storm and retired from the SC Department of Highways and Public Transportation where he worked for 41 years in maintenance. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Windsor, the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department and for more than 40 years he was a member of the Aiken Bowling League. Mr. Blackmon loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Thelma Widener Blackmon; daughter, Debbie (William) Maddox; sons, Mike Blackmon and Mark Blackmon; sister, Ethel Key; grandchildren, Eric and Tabatha Maddox, Kasey and Michael Franklin, Leanne and Luke Jolley, Joshua Blackmon; great grandchildren, Alan, Dylan, Kaylee, Gracie, Payton and Ethan; caregiver, Kathy Bivins. He was preceded in death by sister, Bobbie Jean Bodie and grandson, Mark Andrew Blackmon, Jr.

William George "Bill" Redwood

Box 1009, Barnwell, SC 29812. Mr. Redwood passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late George and Mary Ann Fitzgerald Redwood and was married to the late Mollie Allen Redwood. He was a retired engineer having worked at SRS in Quality Control. Mr. Redwood was a member of the Episcopal Church of Holy Apostles, Barnwell and the Williston Lions Club. Some of his most cherished memories were spending time with his grandchildren and on the three fishing trips that he took to Great Slave Lake in the Northwest Territories in Canada with his sons.

Survivors include his sons, William M. (Pat) Redwood of Atlanta, GA, Daniel J. (Mary) Redwood of De Ridder, LA and Andrew R. (Shellie) Redwood of North Augusta, SC, grandchildren, Emily, Erin, Molly and Danny Redwood and a special friend, Kathryn Claytor Babb of Barnwell.

Otis Randy Truett

Born in Darlington County, SC, Randy was a son of Betty Gainey Truett and the late Otis Truett. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Christian Church, was a certified electrician and worked for Daniel’s Construction Company.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Grubbs of the home; daughters, Ashley Truett of Bishopville, Angela Chavis of Barnwell; sister, Sharon Truett; brother, Joe Truett both of Bishopville; grandchildren, Rodney Allen Chavis, Alexander O’Neal Chavis and Valarie Marzee Chavis.

Burial with Eastern Star Rites accorded will be at the Springfield Cemetery. Dot died on Saturday February 21st.

Born in Lockhart, SC she was a daughter of the late Martin Roy Eubanks and Della Frost Eubanks. She was a member of the Springfield United Methodist Church, a life member, past matron, Grand Ruth for 1978-1979 and was Grand Representative to Tennessee and Kentucky and was a life member of Hodges Chapter #272 Order of the Eastern Star. She was past mother advisor of Greenwood Assembly #33 International Order of Rainbow for Girls and received Grand Cross of Color. She was a former member of Hodges United Methodist Church, was the choir director, was a Sunday school teacher and leader of MYF, she was also a member of Cokesbury Methodist and was the choir director.

Survivors include her husband, Harold J. Salley of the home; daughter, Beth S. Traynham of Salley; grandchildren, Jacob W. Traynham of Salley, Jennifer D. Traynham of Salley and James S. Traynham of Greenwood.

Dorothy Rose "Dot" Wiles Rourk

Born in the Midway Community of Elloree, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Rosa Hungerpiller Wiles. She was a homemaker, a devoted member of Williston First Baptist Church, where she formerly worked as church secretary, taught Sunday School in the primary department, the Esther Sunday School Class and was a member of the church choir. She was a member of the Rebekah Sunday School Class and the WMU.

Survivors include her husband Edward Harmon “Ed” Rourk of the home; daughter, Patricia R. (Billy) Rhodus; son, Donald Edward Rourk; sisters, Mary Pritcher and Emily Rourk; brothers, Hubert Wiles and Asbury Wiles; four grandchildren, Rory P. Rourk, Kevin L. Rourk, A.
