Funeral services for James Gadson, 57, of 210 Stokes Court, Branchville, will be held at noon, Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at Zion AME Church, Branchville, with the Rev. Pamela Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Zion Church Cemetery.
Mr. Gadson died Friday, Dec. 8, at The Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Gantt Gadson; two daughters, Randall (Cordova) and Keneyette (George) Washington; five sisters, Catherine (Paul) Ross of Branchville, Vessie Gadson of Bowman, Carrie (Harvey) Jenkins of Smoaks, Sylvia Gadson of Orangeburg, Mary (Vernon) Johnson of Orangeburg, Cynthia (David) Randolph of Orangeburg, Lorraine (Rudean) Johnson of Branchville; one brother, Isreal (Caretha) Gadson of Brooklyn, N.Y.

John Miller, 86, of 995 Gardenia Drive, Orangeburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2006, as the result of an automobile accident.

Mr. Calvin Chisolm, of Denmark, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, in Bamberg County Memorial Hospital, Bamberg.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Capernaum Baptist Church, Denmark, with the Rev. Clary Green officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Chisolm was born Aug. 5, 1962, in Bamberg County, the son of the late Ella Mae Chisolm and the late Josh Pritchet. He attended the public schools in Denmark, graduating from Denmark-Olar High School. He also attended Denmark Technical College.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Cherrie C. Williams of Denmark; 10 aunts, Mrs. Vertell Houston, Mrs. Sarah Odom and Mrs. Angie Chisolm, of Philadelphia, Mrs. Rosabell Rosenborough and Mrs. Carrie Bell Blue of Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Dorothy Green of Denmark, Mrs. Mamie Sue Burks of Flushing, N.Y, , Mrs. Barbara Chisolm of Fayetteville, N.C., Mrs. Eartha Chisolm of Bamberg and Mrs. Albertha Chisolm of New York; six uncles, Roger Chisolm and Frederick Houston of Philadelphia, Curtis Chisolm of Bamberg, George Edward Chisolm of Columbia, James Rosenborough of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Malcolm Odom of Denmark; and three nephews, Anthony, Tyron and Rafeal Chisolm.
Viewing will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wright’s Funeral Home, Denmark.

Funeral services for Mr. Samuel “Dip” Bloome, 82, of the Woodford community, North, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Woodford, with the Rev. Felix C. Anderson and the Rev. Thomas J. Pearson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in St. Mark United Methodist Church West Cemetery in North.
Mr. Bloome died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006.
He was born in Neeses, a son of the late Joseph Bloome and Mrs. Ida Pough Bloome. He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and was retired from CSX Railroad.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie Ray (Idell) Bloome of the home and James Bernard (Thelma) Bloome of West Columbia; one daughter, Dawn Hart of West Columbia; two brothers, Lemuel Bloome of Livingston and James Bloome of Woodford; one sister, Mrs. Rosa B. Johnson of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at W.B. Crumel Funeral Home of North.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Lee Jamison, 50, of 3449 Cope Road, Cope, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Norway. Burial will be in Spires Chapel Church Cemetery, Cope.
Mrs. Jamison died Tuesday, Jan. 2, at her residence.
She was born May 24, 1956, in rural Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Clarence Sumpter Sr. and Mrs. Lillie Bell Sumpter.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest Jamison of the home; two daughter, Rosa (Iva Lee) Williams of Conway and Ernestine Jamison (Joseph) of Orangeburg; two sisters, Gracie Polite and Barbara (Paul) Drayton, both of Orangeburg; three grandchildren, Justin, Joseph and Keoasha Jamison; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for James Samuel “Sam” Clifton Jr., 82, of 2260 Middleton St., Orangeburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ben Herlong officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.
Mr. Clifton died Tuesday, Jan. 2, at The Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie B. Johnson, 83 of 70 Halfway Swamp Lane, Cameron, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2007, at St. Paul AME Church in Creston. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Mrs. Johnson died October 16, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
She was born November 7, 1923, in Lone Star Community to the late Archie C. and Bertha Hair Brown.
Survivors include her husband of over 65 years, Elijah "Booker T" Johnson of the home; one daughter, Barbara Jean Mitchell of Brooklyn, N.Y. and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday at Al Jenkins Funeral Home in Orangeburg.

Memorial services for Dennis Rozzell Betts, 89, of 1000 Live Oaks Drive, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2007, in the Amos Chapel at The Oaks. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 20, in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville.
Mr. Betts died Tuesday, October 16, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.

Marion 'Son' Frazier Jr.
Funeral services for Marion "Son" Frazier Jr. of 1180 Wildwood Drive, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2007 in the Edisto Fork United Methodist Church in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Hayes T. Gainey officiating. Burial will be in the Belleville Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg.
The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.
Active pallbearers will be George Dean, Thomas Stroman, Johnnie Watson, the Rev. Booker T. Whetstone, Howard Williams and Clarence Corley.
Mr. Frazier died Sunday, October 14, at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born April 9, 1941 in Cope, the third of four children born to the late Marion Frazier Sr. and the late Dr. Mozelle Johnson Frazier Middleton. Of the four children, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mrs. Earlene Winborne. He grew up in Orangeburg County and Brooklyn, N.Y.
He was educated in the public schools of Wilkinson High School, class of 1960. He graduated from Claflin College in 1964. He furthered his education at South Carolina State College, The University of South Carolina and North Carolina State University.
He was a former member of Canaan United Methodist Church in Cope, Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Orangeburg and presently a member of Edisto Fork United Methodist Church Family where he served as a member of the United Methodist Men.
Other affiliations included South Carolina Education Association, The National Science Association and the SC2 Science Association.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of 44 years, Mrs. Virginia Gamble Grazier; four sons and one daughter, Marion Frazier III of Orangeburg, Allen C. Frazier Sr. (Shelia) of Columbia; C.W.3 Michael R. Frazier Sr. (DeAngela) of Fayetteville, N.C., Andretta T. Frazier of Orangeburg and Wesley B. Frazier of Charlotte, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Karine Weeks of New Jersey; one brother, Donnie M. Frazier Sr. (Mary) of Orangeburg; three aunts, Mrs. Josie Pough of Atlanta, Ga., Clotell Cleckley of Queens, N.Y. and Ada Johnson of Cordova; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
