David Roy Chavis, 42, of Salley, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Joyce Still Manzi officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Chavis was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late William “Bo” and Joyce Rice Chavis. He was formerly employed by Calhoun Gin Company. He was a member of North Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gussie Jackson Chavis of the home; two brothers, Ricky Chavis and Mickey Chavis, both of North; three sisters, Barbara Rutland of Orangeburg, Peggy Graham and Cathy Fulmer, both of Lexington; a brother-in-law, Bubba Jackson of the home; and a number of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m, Sunday, Dec. 17, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North and other times at the home, 1307 Dr. Boyleston Road, Salley.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Mae Jones Woods, 63, of 3880 Pate St., Orangeburg, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at Warren Chapel Church, Orangeburg, with the Rev. Williard Sabb officiating. Burial will be in Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Cordova.
The casket will be placed in the church at noon.
Mrs. Woods died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006.
She was born March 21, 1943, in Orangeburg, a daughter of Victoria Jones and the late John Henry Pam.
She attended the Orangeburg public schools. She was a member of Warren Chapel Baptist Church in Orangeburg where she served as a trustee, on the Christian Bell Association and the Gospel Choir. She was also a member of Eastern Star, Williams Lodge. Mrs. Woods was employed with EG&G; Rotron. One daughter, two sisters, and two brothers preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Woods Sr. of the home; one daughter, Esther A. (Marvin) Hart of Orangeburg; two sons, Alvin (Latasha) Woods of Walterboro and Robert Woods Jr. of Orangeburg; her mother, Victoria Jones of Orangeburg; two sisters, Alma Pough and Margie Frazier, both of Orangeburg; five brothers, John W. Jones and Elijah Jones, both of Winston-Salem, N.C., Willie J. Jones of Charlotte, Henry C. Jones and Frank Mizzell, both of Orangeburg; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law.
Friends may call at the residence of her husband, Robert Woods, 3880 Pate St., Orangeburg, and at Simmons Funeral Home of Orangeburg.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Mr. Timothy Riley, 60, of Broad River Terrace Apts., Columbia, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at Good News AME Zion Church, 2297 Russell St., Orangeburg, with the Rev. Shirley S. Nichols and the Rev. Howard Williams officiating. Burial will be in Andrew Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, 557 Big Buck Blvd., Orangeburg.
Mr. Riley died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006.
He was born Feb. 24, 1946, in Orangeburg, the son of the late Gussie Snell Riley and Thomas Riley Jr. He was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County and was a 1966 graduate of Wilkinson High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969. He was married to the late Jacquelyn Jones Riley.
Survivors include five children, Irvin Timothy Riley, Lucretus (Kim) Martin, Kelvin (Sonja) Guinyard, all of Orangeburg, Timothy Keon (Pandora) Williams of Rock Hill and Tina Williams of Charlotte; one sister, Linda Riley (Irvin) Mintz of St. Matthews; stepmother, Selena Green Riley of Orangeburg; a special friend, Luvenia Tucker Williams of Branchville; 13 grandchildren, Juanita, Tevin, Robert Guinyard, Danashia Guinyard, Desarae Guinyard, Hakim Martin, Dante Martin, Zaraya Riley, T’Keia Williams, T’Kaja Williams, Sakia Williams, Queron Williams and Trevon Williams; two great-grandchildren; one niece, one nephew; three grandnieces; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Roamie Lee, of Hallandale, Fla., died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006 at a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at Greater Life Tabernacle in Holly Hill, with Elder Tommie Lee Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Heyden Hill Cemetery in Eutawville.
Mr. Lee was born in Eutawville, a son of the late John Lee Sr. and Mrs. Janie L. Brown Lee. He grew up in Cross and attended the public schools of Berkeley County. Early in life he became a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Cross. In 1957, he moved to Hallandale, Fla., where he became a member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church and served with the Male Chorus. One brother, Thomas D. Lee, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mamie Jefferson Lee of Miami; five children, Janie Kearse (Glen) of Orlando, Fla., Cynthia Eskew (Donovan) of Miami, Brenda Davis (Keith) of Hollywood, Fla., Ronald Lee of Miami and Christopher Lee of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, John Lee Jr. of Eutawville, McKeever David Lee and Russell Lee, both of Eastover, and Sam Lee of Bronx, N.Y.; sisters, Mrs. Catherine Davis, Mrs. Thomasena Taste and Mrs. Josephine Jenkins, all of Eutawville; mother-in-law, Mrs. Eloise Jefferson of Hollywood, Fla.; six sisters-in-law; and six brothers-in-law.

Woodrow Wilson Richardson Sr. -- Orangeburg

The Rev. Woodrow W. Richardson Sr., 93, of Orangeburg, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at First Baptist Church of Orangeburg, following a private family interment at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg.
The Rev. Richardson was born Sept. 5, 1913, in Bordeaux, S.C., to Walter J. Richardson and Sarah Jane Turner Richardson. He was “born again” to faith in Jesus Christ on Aug. 10, 1927 at Bethany Baptist Church, McCormick. He was educated at Mercer University, Macon, Ga., where he received the Algernon Sidney Sullivan Award upon graduation, and at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Ky. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1932 to 1935. Before entering the ministry in September 1944, he served as a postal clerk in Charleston and as a railway postal clerk out of Atlanta, Ga., and Rock Hill.
Before coming to the Orangeburg area, he served as pastor of Buechel Park Baptist Church, Louisville, Ky., First Baptist Church of Monroe, Ga., Eastern Heights Baptist Church of Columbus, Ga., and First Baptist Church of Elberton, Ga. In the Orangeburg area, he served as pastor of the Willow Swamp and Canaan Baptist Churches and was interim pastor at Four Holes, Blackville First, Gethsemane, Springfield First and Double Branch Baptist Churches.
The Rev. Richardson served as president of the Mercer Ministerial Association, the Monroe, Ga., Ministerial Association, the Columbus Christian Council, the Georgia Baptist Pastors’ Conference, and the Orangeburg Baptist Association. He also served as a trustee of Truett McConnell Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ga., and on the Executive Committee of the Georgia Baptist Convention.
His first wife of 67 years, Adelle Reeder Richardson, predeceased him in December 1999. He is survived by his second wife, Pauline Smith Richardson; two sons, Woodrow Jr. of Nashville, Tenn., and Ronald Allen of Pawleys Island; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Tgraywick of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Albert Richardson of Swannanoa, N.C.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four stepchildren; Roberta Lee, Pam Bair, Russell A. Smith and Herschel Smith.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home.
