Miss Evenell Jones, 68, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Thursday, March 27, 2003, in a local hospital in Jacksonville.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 3 at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church in Jacksonville with the Rev. B. Sheiffield officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood cemetery.
Miss Jones was born June 28, 1934, in Orangeburg, the daughter of the late Bennie Jones and Marie Keitt Jones.
Survivors include four daughters, Rosetta Gridle, Willia Pearl Roberts, Adriane Jones and Evelyn King; one son, Tommy Lee Jones, all of Orangeburg; five sisters, Beauty Mae Walker, Adell Kendrick, Martha Roullac, all of Jacksonville, Wilhelmenia Hoggwood and Mart Glover of Orangeburg; four brothers, Bennie Clay, Jammy Clay and McArthurs Jones, all of Orangeburg, and Roosevelt Jones of Jacksonville; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the residence of her sister, Mrs. Wilhelminia Hoggwood, Coulter Road, Orangeburg, or at Carthage Funeral Home, Jacksonville, Fla.

Tina Louise Squires -- Norway
The funeral for Tina Louise Squires of 1208 Middle Willow Road, Norway, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at Cooner Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael James officiating. Burial will be in South End cemetery.
Mrs. Squires died Sunday, March 30 at Richland Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 8, 1979, in Orangeburg, the daughter of Teresa Loraine Squires. She was a housewife who enjoyed being with her family.
Survivors are her husband, Howard Fanning Sr. of the home; her mother, Teresa Loraine Squires of Norway; one sister, Danielle Rowell of Barnwell; one daughter, Tatyana Squires; and one son, Howard Fanning Jr. of Norway; grandfather, James L. Blume of Elloree; two uncles and five aunts.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cooner Funeral Home of Bamberg.
Memorials may be to the home in care for the family.
Linda Wyman -- West Columbia
Linda Hutto Wyman, 55, of West Columbia, died Sunday, March 30, 2003.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 2 in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington, with the Rev. John M. Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Born in Lake City, she was the daughter of the late Rueben C. and Dorothy Eatmon Hutto. Mrs. Wyman was a member of Park Street Baptist Church and was a retired nurse.
Surviving are her husband, Charles V. "Skip" Wyman Jr. of West Columbia; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra W. and Michael Shealy of Gilbert; brothers and sister-in-law, John F. Hutto of West Columbia, Kenneth E. and Terry D. Hutto of Lexington; sister-in-law, Holly Wyman of West Columbia; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Wyman of West Columbia; grandchildren, Makaela Shealy and Michael Shealy.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The funeral for Anthony Lee "Nicus" Whetstone Sr., 32, of 5241 Cordova Road, Cope, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at Living Wells Celebration Center, Highway 4, Orangeburg. Burial, directed by Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Orangeburg, will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Mr. Whetstone died Sunday, April 20 at Roper Berkeley Day Hospital, Moncks Corner.
Mrs. Jamis Riley Armitage--Orangeburg
Memorial services for Mrs. Jamis Riley Armitage, 94, of 410 Pinehill Road, Orangeburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2003, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Terry Peele officiating. Burial with graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24 at Oak Hill cemetery in Kingsport, Tenn., with Rev. Beth Yarborough officiating.
The family will receive friends after the graveside service.
Mrs. Armitage died Friday, June 20, at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
Mrs. Armitage was born in Collins, Miss., a daughter of the late Edward M. "Gene" Riley and the late Margaret Elizabeth Dale. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Orangeburg and was a graduate of Mississippi Woman's College (William Carey University). Her childhood was spent in Mississippi and Alabama. She resided in Kingsport, Tenn., until after the death of her husband when she moved to Birmingham, Ala. Her latter years were spent in Orangeburg. Mrs. Armitage was the widow of James E. Armitage, and was predeceased by a great-grandson.
Survivors include her son, James H. "Jim" Eugene Armitage Jr., Kingsport, Tenn.; her daughter, Mrs. Lewis (Kay) Stroman of Orangeburg; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Eva Lou Bryant--North
Mrs. Eva Lou Bryant, 61, of 300 Addison Road, North, died Saturday, June 21, 2003, in the home that she designed and built.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 24 at St. Matthews Parish Episcopal Church, Fort Motte, with the Rev. Michael Hub officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bryant was born in Orrick, Mo., a daughter of the late Maurice and Lena Mae Gooch Hall. She was a graduate of the University of Indiana and Pardue at Fort Wayne, Ind. She was a member of the sorority Delta Zeta and former alumni president. She was active in promoting women in business and had worked for GTE Yellow Pages as a sales executive, and was a stock broker. She was a lifetime member of the Civil War Roundtable and was a member of the D.A.R. She was listed in Who's Who of Professional Executive Women, and was a matriarch of her family. She believed her most important role was as mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Matthews Parish Episcopal Church, Fort Motte. She was predeceased by a daughter, Karen.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, David L. Bryant; children, Allan, James, Jason, Zane, Diane, Kris, Stephanie and Shelley; grandchildren, Sarah, Katie, Timothy, Taylor, Jacob, Alexandria and Eric.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home of North.

Fred Douglas Major--Philadelphia, Pa.
The funeral for Fred Douglas Major, 83, of 2424 N. 31st St., Philadelphia, and formerly of Orangeburg, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2003, at Otto Crumel Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Belleville Memorial Gardens, Orangeburg.
Mr. Major died Friday, June 13, 2003.
He was born July 12, 1919, in South Carolina, a son of the late Samuel and Rachel Culclasure Major.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Marva Thompson, Misses Betty, Eleanore, and Terry Major of Philadelphia; two sons, Harry and Larry Major of Philadelphia; two daughters-in-law; Mrs. Patsy and Mrs. Janice Major of Philadelphia; one son-in-law, Daryl Thompson of Philadelphia; five sisters, Mrs. Pearl and Mrs. Clottie Harley of North, Mrs. Ruth Eastling and Mrs. Willie Mae Pauling of Orangeburg, and Mrs. Tinnie Hampton of Philadelphia; three brothers, Benjamin and Robert Lee Major of Orangeburg, and Arthur Major of Columbia.

Joseph B. Polin -- Seattle, Wash.
Joseph B. Polin, 72, of Seattle, Wash., formerly of Elloree, died Monday, June 17, 2003.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 23 at New Tacoma Center, University Place, Tacoma, Wash.
He was born Aug. 26, 1930, in Elloree, a son of the late Jessie Wertz Polin and George William Polin. Mr. Polin was founder and owner of Polin Lumber Company in Seattle, Wash.
Survivors include his wife, Dina Polin of the home; daughters, Valarie Cook of Darrington, Wash., and Sheila O'Leary, DeAnna McClure, and LeAnne Polin of Seattle; grandsons, Charlie Cook and Jonathan McClure; brothers, George E. Mary E. 'Lib' S. Richardson--Orangeburg
A memorial service for Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Stephens Richardson, 90, of 2306 Riverbank Drive, Orangeburg, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, June 23 at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, with Fr. George Retzlaff officiating.
Mrs. Richardson died Friday, May 23, 2003, at The Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg.
Mrs. Richardson was born in Jefferson County, Ga., a daughter of the late Charles Wynn Stephens and Annie Barton Stephens. She was a retired secretary from H.U.D. in San Francisco, Calif., and also worked in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Richardson formerly worked with the American Red Cross in Hawaii in World War II. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer and the Moultrie Chapter of the D.A.R. She was the widow of James David Richardson.
Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Norma Stephens Godowns, Orangeburg; brother, Charles Wynn Stephens Jr., Wrens, Ga.; stepson, Robert Richardson, Vallejo, Calif.; stepdaughters, Alexandra Richardson, Vallejo, Calif., and Marilyn Armstrong, Vallejo, Calif.; eight grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jeanette Davis Rogers--Orangeburg
Mrs. Jeanette Davis Rogers, 46, of 155 Heligwood Road, Orangeburg, died Friday, June 20, 2003, at The Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 22 at New Hope Baptist Church on Riverbank Drive with the Rev. Anthony Hughes and Rev. Chuck Wells officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bill Wise, James Nettles, Charles Simmons, Olan Rogers, Steven Bolin and Tony Shirey.
Mrs. Rogers was born May 27, 1957, in Burlington, N.C., a daughter of the late James C. Davis and Ruth Smith Davis. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Jerry Rogers Jr. of Orangeburg; son, Charles James Rogers of Orangeburg; stepmother, Frances W. Davis of Burlington, N.C.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James W. and Ivene Davis of Graham, N.C., and John L. and Linda Davis of Liberty, N.C.; stepsister, and stepbrother-in-law, Peggy and Bobby Jones; stepsister, Juanita Dunston, all of Burlington, N.C.; stepbrother and stepsister-in-law, Johnny and Sandra Smith of Liberty, N.C.; stepbrother, Eugene Smith of Burlington, N.C.; and four nieces.

Heyward H. "Skipper" Bozard Jr. -- Orangeburg
The funeral for Heyward H. "Skipper" Bozard Jr., 52, of 3037 Jackson Drive, Orangeburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Monty Phillips, Johnny Brunson, Boby Mixon, Marty Diggins, John David Bozard and Harry Shroats. Honorary pallbearer will be Eddie Durgen.
Mr. Bozard died Friday, July 4, at Memorial Mission Hospital, Asheville, N.C.
Mr. Bozard was born in Orangeburg, a son of the late Heyward Hoyt Bozard and Jacqueline Surles Bozard. He was a computer systems analyst with Orangeburg Consolidated School District 5. Mr. Bozard was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He was a member of Edisto Amateur Radio Society. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Taylor Bozard of the home; son, Brian Heyward Bozard, Charleston; daughter, Elizabeth Ashley Bozard, Orangeburg; one brother, Russell B. Bozard, Cope; one sister, Mrs. Mark (Sheryl) B. Russell, St. Matthews.
