Santos Laguerra Jr., 44, of 4421 Charleston Hwy., Orangeburg, died Friday, July 25, 2003, at The Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg.

Friends may call at the residence of his daughter, Elizabeth Sandiford, 248 H&S; Drive and at Bythewood Funeral Home of Orangeburg.

George Clinton -- Eutawville

George Clinton, 47, of 647 Moncks Corner Road, Eutawville, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003.

Funeral plans will be announced by Eutawville Community Funeral Home of Eutawville.

Mrs. Hattie Steward -- Santee

Mrs. Hattie Steward, 58, of 833 Woolbright Road, Santee, died Thursday, July 31, 2003, at The Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg.

Funeral plans will be announced by Williams Funeral Home of Elloree.

Friends may call at the residence and the funeral home.

Calvin L. Warren -- Reevesville

Calvin L. Warren, 39, of Reevesville, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Trident Medical Center, Charleston.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at Bethel #2 Holiness Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery, directed by Brown and Son Funeral Home of St. George.

Mr. Warren was born in Reevesville, a son of the late Josephine and Thomas J. Warren. He was a member of Bethel #2 Holiness Church.

Survivors include his wife, Georgette Warren of Columbia; two sons, Adrian L. Jennings of Reevesville and Calvin T.L. Warren of Columbia; a daughter, Dionye E.A. Warren of Columbia; two sisters, Carrie Warren and Dorothy Dunmeyer, both of Reevesville; three brothers, Joseph (Wonder) Warren of Reevesville, Gregory (Stephanie) Warren, both of Reevesville and Jeremiah Warren of Orangeburg.

Ernestine H. Crook -- Orangeburg

Funeral services for Ernestine Holladay Crook, 85, of 1000 Live Oak Drive, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2003 at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home Chapel, Orangeburg, with the Rev. Dr. Terry Peele officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Hayden Inabinet, Fritz Zeigler, Frankie Zeigler, Frankie Greene, Mark Funchess and Rodney Morgan.

Mrs. Crook died Tuesday.

She was born in Wolfton, a daughter of the late Leroy Holladay and Gladys Culler Holladay. She was a graduate of Orangeburg High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Jacob Earl Crook.

Survivors include sons, Jacob Earl Crook Jr. of Orangeburg and William L. "Roy" Crook of Summerville; sisters, Mrs. William (Sybil) Funchess of Clemson and Mrs. Doris (Howard) Greene of Rock Hill; four grandchildren, Jason Crook of Tega Cay, Jacob H. "Jake" Crook of Charleston, Joseph W. Crook of Givhans and Beth Sharp of Charleston; and a great-granddaughter, Allyson Grace Crook of Givhans.

Friends may call at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Crook Jr., 1995 McQueen Blvd., Orangeburg.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Roofing Fund, 1240 Russell St., Orangeburg, SC, 29115.

Bena Moore Davis -- Greenville

Funeral services for Bena Moore Davis, 75, of 202 Boxwood Lane, Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at Northgate Baptist Church, Greenville, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in Springwood cemetery.

Mrs. Davis died Wednesday.

She was born in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late Judge Harry Edward Moore and Bena Loadholt Moore. She graduated from Furman University in 1948, and was a member of Northgate Baptist Church. She was a member of the Greenville Chapter of PEO Sisterhood.

Surviving are her husband, H. Ray Davis; daughters, Susan Page Davis of Columbia and her son, Ashley Ryan Hellams of Greenville; Karen Davis Guyton and her husband, Ted Allen Guyton and their daughter, Lindsay Davis Guyton of Columbia; and Karen's step-children, Jane Guyton Wilkinson of Columbia and Ted Allen Guyton Jr. of Atlanta; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northgate Baptist Church, 633 Summit Drive, Greenville, 29609.

The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Catherine I. Fairey -- West Columbia

Mrs. Catherine I. Fairey, 86, of One Still Hopes Drive, West Columbia, died Thursday, July 31, 2003 at the SC Episcopal Home, at Still Hopes, West Columbia.

Funeral services will be announced by Dukes-Harley Funeral Home of Orangeburg.

Bertha Mae Jones -- Santee

The funeral for Bertha Mae Jones, 62, of 7728 Old #6 Hwy., Santee, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at Saluda Baptist Church, Santee, with the Rev. A.M. Matthews officiating. Burial will be the church cemetery.

Ms. Jones died Saturday, July 26.

Friends may call at the residence and at Williams Funeral Home of Elloree.

Mrs. Mary Wilson Jones -- St. Matthews

Mrs. Mary Wilson Jones, 66, 279 Great Circle Drive, St. Matthews, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at the Baptist Medical Center, Columbia.

Funeral plans will be announced by Carson's Funeral Home of St. Matthews.

Friends may call at the residence and at the funeral home.

Sean Lee Lahnert -- Ehrhardt

Sean Lee Lahnert, 3, of 10720 Ehrhardt Road, Ehrhardt, died Thursday, July 31, 2003, at Richland Memorial Hospital, Columbia, after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Colston Branch Baptist Church, Bamberg, with the Rev. Herbie Maybry and the Rev. Keith Stott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Master Lahnert was born Mary 26, 2000, a son of Dwayne Gene Lahnert and Kana Jeffcoat Lahnert. She was affiliated with Colston Branch Baptists Church and he enjoyed playing.

Survivors include his father and step mother, Dwayne and Elizabeth Lahnert of the home; his mother, Kana Jeffcoat Lahnert of Olar; two brothers, Kevin and Austin Lahnert of the home; maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Mary Ann Bishop of Ehrhardt; an uncle, Stephen Bishop of Ehrhardt; paternal grandparents, Lillian and Rick Thornburg of Cordova; aunts, Tresa Montgomery and Brenda Davis, both of Tenn., Barbara Hadley of Fla., Melissa Davis and Susan Exspito, both of NC; and many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Cooner Funeral Home of Bamberg.

Memorials may be made to the Children's Hospital of Richland Memorial Hospital, Columbia in Sean's memory.

Metrice H. Livingston -- North

Mrs. Metrice H. Livingston, 89, died Thursday, July 31, 2003.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at North United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Matt Rucker officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James E. Flake Jr., William Joseph Flake, Jason Dwight Flake, Rodney Nolan Tyler Jr., Parrish Warren Tyler, John Dantzler Covington Jr. and Wesley Adair Covington.

Mrs. Livingston was born in Swansea, a daughter of the late Stokes and Mlle Meetz Hutto. She was a member of North United Methodist Church and was married to the late William Warren Livingston.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. James E. (Jane) Flake of Orangeburg, Mrs. Rodney W. (Barbara) Tyler of Moncks Corner and Mrs. J. Danny (Judy) Covington of Norway; sister, Emily H. Parker of Columbia; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family is at the home of 9504 North Road, and will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 Friday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home of North.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of TRMC or North United Methodist Church.

John Lee Salley Jr. -- Columbia

Graveside services for John Lee Salley Jr., 52, of 3004 Dell Drive, Columbia, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at Macedonia Methodist Church cemetery, Hwy. 4, near Orangeburg.

Mr. Salley died Saturday, July 26.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday at W. B. Crumel Funeral Home of North.

Friends may call at the residence of his aunt, Mrs. Charles (Betty) Furtick, 305 Hutto Road, Neeses, and at the funeral home.

Henry Jones -- Barnwell

Henry Jones died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m.Thursday, Aug. 7 at St. Paul Baptist Church Snelling, with the Rev. John Young officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.

Born in Barnwell County, he was the son of Louise G. Jones and the late Spencer Jones Sr.

Visitation will be held 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lebby Funeral Home.

Lebby Funeral Home of Barnwell is in charge of arrangements.

Charles M. Scott Sr. -- Swansea

Mr. Charles M. Scott Sr., 77, of Swansea, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2003.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at Swansea First Baptist Church with burial in Melrose Memorial Garden.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Holley Scott of Swansea; daughter, Pat Wise of Swansea; sons, Mack Scott and Jimmy Scott, both of Swansea, and Wayne Scott of Forest Acres; sister, Francis Blevins of Washington, N.C.; brother, Marvin Scott of Hamlet, N.C.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North.

Memorials may be made to Swansea Fist Baptist Church Building Fund or Hospice Care of the Tri-County.

George Joe Darby Jr.--Cordova

George Darby Jr., 49, of 720 Blewer Road, Cordova, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, at his home following a brief illness.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Simmons Funeral Home of Orangeburg.

Friends may call at the residence of his wife, Victoria Darby, 720 Blewer Road, Cordova, and at the funeral home.

Edward A. Pellman Sr.--Orangeburg

Mr. Edward A. Pellman Sr., 61, of 1848 Kennedy Drive, Orangeburg, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at his residence.
