JOHNNY LEE SHAW
Johnny Lee Shaw, age 61, beloved husband of Gail Marie Lindgren Shaw, died on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, at The Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson.
He was born in Sumter, a son of the late Mary James and Preston Shaw. He was a U.S. Army veteran and later worked as a lieutenant for the Sumter County police force. He was a member of The Congruity Presbyterian Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Johnnie Brian Shaw of New York; two daughters, Marlo Shaw of Wedgefield and LaKita Shaw Smith of Sumter; one brother, Curt Johnson of Sumter; three sisters, Ada Mae Johnson, Annette Joyner, both of Sumter, and Susie Mae Smith of North Carolina; a special aunt and uncle, Katie and Burroughs James; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ruth; one daughter, Jamie; and three brothers, Harry, Jackie and Solomon.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Briggs officiating.
Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Florence National cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Bullock Funeral Home

OPHELIA R. JOYNER
HAMPTON -- Ophelia Ramsey Joyner, 85, died Oct. 26, 2004, in Hampton.
Born April 8, 1919, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Betty DuPree Ramsey. She was a graduate of Morris College, Sumter. She taught for 42 years before retiring from the public school system. She was a member of the Rising Star Chapter No. 359, O.E.S., Hampton.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennie Turner (Jimmie) and Maurice Collins (Daniel); one granddaughter, Jeanie Chinaye Turner; and three grandsons, Aaron Booker, Byron Collins and Jimmy J. Turner.
Wake services were held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Washington's Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today from the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Varnville. Burial will be in the New Hope Church cemetery, Varnville.

TOMMY E. SINGLETON
GREELEYVILLE -- Tommy Edward Singleton, 62, husband of Deloris King Singleton, died Oct. 29, 2004, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center, Sumter.
Born Jan. 11, 1942, in Greeleyville, he was a son of the late Pearl Singleton and Julia Ann Keels Singleton.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 124 Olipia Lane, Greeleyville.
Services will be announced by Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Sumter.
PRISCILLA K. GREENE
LYNCHBURG -- Priscilla Keels Greene, 40, wife of Jimmy Greene, died Oct. 28, 2004, at her residence, 1500 Rush Road, Lynchburg.
Born Aug. 1, 1964, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late John Wallace and Mary Jane Epps Keels.
The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Diane K. Pearson, 1890 Rush Road, Lynchburg, SC 29080.
Services will be announced by Job's Mortuary Inc. of Sumter.
FRANK TINDAL
Frank "Tootie" Tindal, 60, husband of Rosa Lee Simon Tindal, departed this life on Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 18, 1944, in Sumter County, a son of the late Robertha Pearson Peeples, Willie Peeples and Avan "P.W." Woods and Dorothy Jean Woods.
The family is receiving friends at the home, 935 Morningside Drive.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Sumter Funeral Service Inc.
JANNIE S. WESTON
Jannie Singleton Weston, beloved daughter of the late Tommy Singleton and Mollie Singleton, was born May 3, 1907, in Sumter County.
Mrs. Weston was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Beulah UME Church. She was a member of the Golden Age Club.
Mrs. Weston departed this life at the age of 97 on Nov. 17, 2004, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center, Sumter.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted children; one son, Marshall Dicks of Sumter; one daughter, Janie Mae Holland and husband, the Rev. Jackie L., of Sumter; an adopted granddaughter, Henrietta Gilliam and husband, Leonard, of Fort Lee, Va.; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Weston was preceded in death by two sons, Sammie Weston and Robert Weston Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Beulah UME Church with the Revs. Jackie L. Holland, Leroy T. James, Mary L. Brailsford and Jonathan Smith. Burial will follow in the Haynesworth cemetery.
Viewing will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Community Funeral Home.
The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 332 Love St.
The procession will leave at 1:45 p.m. Sunday from the home.
ROBERT E. GRAHAM
SCRANTON -- Robert Earl "Bummy" Graham, 55, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, at Carolina Hospital, Lake City.
He was born June 11, 1949, in Florence County.
The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Blondell Hickson, 1892 N. Old Georgetown Road, High Hill community, Scranton, SC 29591.
Services will be announced by Green's Funeral Home of Lake City.
ENOCH SPEARS
Enoch Spears, 53, husband of Amy Lee White Spears, died Nov. 4, 2004, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 14, 1951, in Sumter, he was a son of Johnny and Aline Hodge Spears.

WAYNE K. PINNEX II
Dyson's Home for Funerals and Lake Marion Christian Fellowship, along with the Rev. Harold Martin, pastor, announce funeral services for the late Wayne Kizel Pinnex II will be held at noon Saturday at Lake Marion Christian Fellowship, Santee. The Rev. Harold Martin, pastor, will officiate.
Final resting place will be Friendship AME Church cemetery, Silver.

Wayne Kizel Pinnex II, age 33, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, in Raleigh, N.C., as a result of an automobile accident.
Born in Plattsburg, N.Y., on Oct. 6, 1972, he was a son of Wayne Pinnex and Ruby Billie Pinnex. He was educated in the public schools of Clarendon School District 1 and Broward County Schools in Florida. He graduated from Elloree High School, Elloree. He served in the United States Navy. He was the founder and co-owner of WE Enterprises of Raleigh.
Survivors other than his parents include his fianceé, Erica Stewart of Raleigh; a daughter, Kadeja White of Santee; two sons, Kedron Kizel Shivers of Philadelphia and Brian Stewart of Raleigh; a brother, Darrell D. Pinnex of Raleigh; a sister, Karen Pinnex Taylor of Garner, N.C.; grandmothers, Elizabeth "Bess" Billie of Silver and Dorethea Parker of Greensboro, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other close relatives and friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to Dyson's Home for Funerals of Summerton.

Jerry Wayne Bass, age 62, husband of the late Carolyn Reid Bass, died on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, at his residence.

MARIE D. WEBSTER
MANNING -- Marie Demorest Webster, 76, widow of Donald Lee Webster, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at Regency Hospital in Florence.
Born July 19, 1928, in Jeanette, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Elsa Vesco Demorest. She was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are three daughters, Janice Cortez and husband Daniel of Manning, Donna Webster of Manning and Kim Weatherford and husband Jamie of Darlington; a son, Daniel Douglas Barnhart and wife Marlene of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Private services were held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the residence.
