SUMMERTON -- William T. Jones Sr., 89, widower of Dorothy Herbert Jones, died Saturday, March 20, 2004, at his home in Summerton.

ANTHONY 'TONY' WELLS
On Tuesday, March 16, 2004, Mr. Anthony "Tony" Wells departed this earthly life at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Anthony, affectionately known to his family and friends as "Tony, " was born Nov. 26, 1958, in Sumter to Mrs. Emma Ruth Levine Wells and the late Mr. Leroy Wells Sr.
He attended the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Sumter High School. He was formally employed by Sumter Cabinet Company for many years. Anthony will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife, Mrs. Charlene Humphries Wells of Wedgefield; his loving mother, Mrs. Emma Ruth Levine Wells of Sumter; one son, Mr. Troy Smith of Sumter; three daughters, Miss Mandishia Strong and Mrs. Antronelle McCalister, both of Columbia, and Miss Tiffany Richardson of Sumter; four stepchildren, Ms. Leslie Dula of North Carolina, Ms. Felicia Anderson, Mr. Phillip Humphries and Mr. Michael Humphries, all of Sumter; three brothers, Mr. Joe Levine, Mr. Leroy Wells Jr. and Mr. Jeremiah Wells, all of Sumter; five sisters, Mrs. Barbara Slater, Mrs. Linda Bradley, Mrs. Janie McGee, Mrs. Bertha Wilson and Mrs. Annette Heyward, all of Sumter; one son-in-law, Mr. Telford McCalister of Columbia; father and mother-in-law, Mr. William and Mrs. Emma Lee Humphries of Sumter; five grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends who are deeply grieved by his sudden passing.
He was preceded in death by his father Mr. Leroy Wells Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Wells will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2004, at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Ricky Simmons officiating assisted by Pastor Marion H. Newton, Minister Irene Anthony and Pastor E.W. Palmer. Burial will follow in Bradford cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at the home of his mother, Mrs. Emma Ruth Wells, 502 N. Main St.
The funeral procession will leave the home of his mother, Mrs. Emma Ruth Wells, 502 N. Main St. at 12:30 p.m.

HAROLD DEAN McABEE
Harold Dean McAbee, 71, husband of Virginia McIntosh McAbee, died Saturday, March 20, 2004, at his home.
Born in Chesnee, he was a son of the late Walter S. McAbee and the late Agnes Edwards McAbee.
He was retired from TransCo International Pipeline and was an owner/operator truck driver. He was also a member of the Naval reserve and the American Legion of Lynchburg.
Survivors besides his wife of Sumter include two sons, Danny Harold McAbee and his wife, Debra of Arcadia, and Barry Dean McAbee and his wife, Cindy of Inman; a granddaughter, Haley Brooke McAbee; a brother, Bobby Wayne McAbee and his wife, Linda of Boiling Springs; and a sister, Judy McAbee of San Francisco.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in Green Acres Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Donnie Collins and the Rev. Walt Phillips officiating.
Burial will be in the Green Acres cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Barbara Jones Jennings, 74, wife of Paul Jennings, died Saturday, March 20, 2004, at Toumey Regional Medical Center.

DORA CLARK MILLER
Dora Clark Miller, 66, wife of Freddie Miller, died Friday, March 19, 2004, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 21, 1937, in St. Charles, she was the daughter of the late William Clark Sr. and Jessie Brunson Clark.
Services are incomplete. The family will receive friends at the residence, 1947 McCrays Mill Road.
Services will be announced by Job's Mortuary.
LENORE DAZELLE HILTON JOORABCHI
CHARLESTON -- Lenore Dazelle Hilton Joorabchi, 46, wife of Jeffrey Scott Joorabchi, died Saturday, March 20, 2004, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Born June, 26, 1957, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of Frank Hilton and Daisey Hatfield Hilton.
The family will receive friends at the home of her parents, Frank and Daisey Hilton, 328 N. Church St., Manning.
Services will be announced by Samuels Funeral Home of Manning.
HOWARD RIVERS
BISHOPVILLE -- Howard Rivers died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at his home, 214 Davis St.
Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late James and Viola Hannibal Rivers. He attended the public schools of Lee County and did a tour of duty in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by the city of Philadelphia. After his retirement, he and his wife, the late Barbara Jean Hudson Rivers, moved to Bishopville.
Survivors are four daughters, Eva Nelson, Debra Williams, Donna Williams and Wendy (Walter) Presley, all of Philadelphia; six stepchildren, Barbara Jones, Frank Flowers Jr., Shiela, Sharon, Wade and Eric of Philadelphia; one brother, James Rivers of Philadelphia; two sisters, Marie Mickens and Pearl Holloman of Bishopville; 21 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today at Jerusalem Stuckey Baptist Church with the Rev. Julia Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Jerusalem cemetery.
The casket will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
Services will be held at 2 p.m.

GREELEYVILLE -- Davis Laford Richburg, 74, husband of Genevieve "Genny" Eaddy Richburg, died Monday, March 22, 2004, at his home in Greeleyville.

Martha Ann Odom Conyers, 54, wife of Ervin Conyers, died Monday, March 22, 2004, at her home.
Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of Letha Floyd Odom and the late Willie L. Odom.
Mrs. Conyers was a member of Jefferson Road Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of Sumter; two daughters, Kimberly A. Wilcox and her husband, Brian, of Sumter and Joy M. Conyers of Sumter; four brothers, Edwin Odom, Willie James Odom, Heyward Odom and Jimmy Odom, all of Sumter; and a sister, Wilhemenia Pack of Sumter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Jefferson Road Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Rusty Conyers officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.
Pallbearers will be members of the Adult Sunday School Class of Jefferson Road Freewill Baptist Church.

LAKE CITY -- Lucinda Wallace Hannah, 84, widow of Edward Hannah, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Carolinas Hospital System, Florence.
She was born May 20, 1919.

GEORGE K. JEFFERSON
George Kennedy Jefferson, 46, died Saturday, March 20, 2004, at his residence, 922 Camden Highway in Bishopville.
Born in Mayesville, on April 12, 1957, he was a son of the late William and Beatrice Williams Jefferson.
George attended Lee County public schools and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. As an adult, George moved to Bishopville with his wife and was employed in the area until his death.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Jefferson; three daughters, Blondell (Richie) Colclough of Sumter, Latonya Plowden of Mayesville and Georgette Shannon of Bishopville; a son, George Jefferson Jr. of Mayesville; two sisters, Ole Mae Crosby of Florida and Pauline (Franklin) Wilson of Washington, D.C.; three brothers, Alphonso (Viola) Jefferson of Mayesville, William Melvin Jefferson of Sumter and James (Bessie) Jefferson of Connecticut; four grandchildren, Raiqwan Colclough, Lorenzo Wilson Jr., Alonzo Wilson and Orenthia Wilson; a father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leroy and Dorothy McDonald; three sisters-in-law, Emma McDonald, Michelle McDonald and Debra (Bryant) Scarborough; three brothers-in-law, Robert McDonald, Levern McDonald and Elroy (Ernestine) McDonald; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Kingsbury Road Church of Christ, 215 Kingsbury Road, with Pastor Melvin Sapp officiating. Burial will be in the Mayesville cemetery.

Mrs. Geneva Covington died at her residence, 402 Palmetto Tower.
Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of Janie Nathaniel and the late Ferdinand Nathaniel.
