LAURINBURG, N.C. - Mr. Eugene Goff, age 70, of Red Springs died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Westside Baptist Church in Red Springs with burial following at Alloway cemetery. Officiating the service will be the Rev. W.H. McNeill and the Rev. J. Randolph Browning.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mrs. Annette T. Goff of the home; a son, David Goff of Grays Creek; two daughters, Ellen G. Nobles of Wagram and Susie Rawson of the home; a brother, John L. Goff of Fayetteville; a sister, Yvonne G. Tompkins of Sumter; and three grandchildren, Ryan Rawson, Courtney Rawson and Justin Goff.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Westside Baptist Church in Red Springs.
Memorials may be made to the Westside Baptist Church Building Fund.

MARY W. NEWMAN
Mary White Newman, 86, widow of Ernest James Newman, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at a local nursing center.
Services are incomplete and will be announced by the Elmore - Hill - McCreight Funeral Home and Crematory.
LAZARUS TIMMONS
Homegoing service for Mr. Lazarus Timmons will be noon Wednesday at Rise and Live Community Church in Pamplico with the Rev. I.J. Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Aimwell Church cemetery directed by Peoples Funeral Home of Pamplico.
Mr. Timmons, 48, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born in Florence County, a son of Deacon Junior Dick Timmons and the late Mrs. Georgia Hardin Timmons. He was a 1973 graduate of Hannah - Pamplico High School. He was a member of Aimwell Baptist Church and a member of Aimwell Masonic Lodge No. 465 and the Pee Dee Royal Arch Lodge No. 32. He attended services regularly at Biggers AME Church of Manning. He was employed by Verizon Inc.
He leaves a vacancy in the hearts of his wife, Betty Myers - Timmons; his father, Junior Dick Timmons; a paternal grandmother, Mrs. Clydia Timmons of Darlington; five sisters, Sharon Timmons - Generette of Florence, Mary (Larry) Brayboy of Lake City, Bertha Timmons of Sumter, Amanda Timmons Haynes of North Charleston and Geraldine McDaniel of Florence; five brothers, Willie D. Hardin, King (Terry) Timmons and Marshall O'Neal Timmons, all of Pamplico, Reuben (Stacey) Timmons of Florence and Oral Lee Timmons of Timmonsville. Also to cherish his memory are a loving mother and father-in-law, Willie (Rosa) Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Williemena Jackson of Newark, N.J., and Aner (Stephen) Hanna of Lake City; two brothers-in-law, William (Carolyn) Jackson and Wallace Jackson of Lake City; two uncles who respected him as a brother, Henry Joe (Myrtle Bell) Timmons and Charles (Pearlease) Timmons of Scranton; one other uncle, Ed Hardin Jr. of Lexington, N.C.; two aunts, Lola Mae (Henry) Jackson of Scranton and Seller Davis of Valdosta, Ga.
Masonic rites will be held at 7 p.m. today at Rise and Live Community Church in Pamplico.
The family will receive friends at his home, 4560 Kingstree Highway, S.C. 261, Manning.
LARRY T. MORRIS
Larry Thomas Morris, 61, husband of Emily Segars Morris, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Services will be announced by Elmore - Cannon - Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter.
HAZEL BOYLE
SWANNANOA, N.C. - On Nov. 9, Mr. Hazel Boyle became absent from the body and present with the Lord. He was 84 years old. He was a lifelong resident of Sumter but had spent the last seven months at the home of his son in Swannanoa.
He was a veteran of the U.S. military, having served with the U.S. Army in World War II and during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Open Bible Baptist Church, where he had previously served as a Sunday school teacher and deacon. He was truly faithful unto death.
Mr. Boyle was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Phillips Boyle, who went home in 1993.
He is survived by two sons, Joseph A. Boyle and his wife, Rhonda, of West Columbia and Byron P. Boyle and his wife, Vickie, of Swannanoa. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Joel and Rachel Boyle of Swannanoa, and a sister, Doris Lucka of Tampa, Fla.
Services for Mr. Boyle will be at the Open Bible Baptist Church on Old Manning Road. Service time will be at 1 p.m. today.
The family will receive friends immediately afterward. Burial will be at the Sumter cemetery.
Pastor Larry Hummel, Brother Joel Boyle and Pastor B.P. Boyle will officiate.
Mr. Boyle specifically requested that no flowers be sent, but that all memorials should go to the Open Bible Baptist Church mission fund.
These past seven months, he truly exhibited a testimony of God's grace and showed us all that God's people die well.

Larry Thomas Morris, 61, husband of Emily Segars Morris, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born in Turbeville, he was a son of the late Beasley Morris and the late Mozell Baird Morris. He was a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church and was retired from Plowden Construction Co.
Survivors besides his wife of Sumter include a son, Joel Segars Jr. of Hartsville; a daughter, Candy S. Richburg of Sumter; three brothers, Tracy Morris of Dalzell, Ray Morris of Turbeville and Wayne Morris of Lexington; three sisters, Miriam Morris of North Augusta, Lois Breizy of Myrtle Beach and Annette Barrett of Manning; three grandchildren, Kacey Segars, Ryan Segars and Thomas Richburg.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday in Alice Drive Baptist Church with Dr. Clay Smith and the Rev. Tommy Comer officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at Elmore - Cannon - Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.

HARRIET D. HAYNESWORTH
Harriet Dicks Haynesworth died on Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, in Atlanta.
Born in Sumter County on Dec. 24, 1936, she was the oldest daughter of the late William "Bill" and Adeline Lane Dicks. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County.
She was survived by her husband, the Rev. Robert Edward Haynesworth; her sons and their spouses, Edward Lee Haynesworth, Ernest (Millie) Haynesworth, Wayne (Janice) Haynesworth and Kenneth (Brenda) Haynesworth; her daughters and their spouses, Theodore (Patricia) Williams Jr. and Andre' (Teresa) Doanes; four brothers, Willie Lee Dicks, Wilbert (Dorothy) Dicks, Earl Dicks and Ernest Dicks Jr.; five sisters, Margaret Singleton, Frances (Anthriest) Hill Sr., Mary Pringle, Marie McDaniel and Victoria Mapp; one brother-in-law, John Henry (Annie Mae) Haynesworth; and a foster brother, Elijah (Mary) Geter.
Services were held Nov. 7 at World Changers Church International in College Park, Ga. Dr. Creflo A. Dollar, pastor, officiated. Interment followed in the Forest Lawn Memorial Garden, College Park, Ga.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Gus Thornhill's Funeral Home Inc. of East Point, Ga.

IRENE MILLER
Irene Miller, daughter of the late Josephine Kendrick Miller and William Loman Miller, was born on Feb. 20, 1917, and went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 5, 2003.
She leaves to celebrate her home going one daughter, Marie M. Major of Camden; three grandchildren, Carmen M. Major of Camden, Lawrence Major III of New York and Rose Marie (Leon) Williams of New York; two great - grandchildren, Thea and Vejai with a third expected this month; four sisters, Alice Louise Gilliam of Richmond, Va., Sarah (John Quincy) Smith of Roxboro, N.C., Mattie (Leroy) Reid of Glassboro, N.J., and Ruby Singleton of Lithania, Ga.; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her dear niece, "Pussycat" Edith Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rafting Creek Baptist Church in Rembert. The body will lie in state in the church beginning at 1 p.m.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Cooke Funeral Home.
MARY ANNE H. LeBOURDAIS
Mrs. Mary Anne Hurt LeBourdais, wife of Duane K. LeBourdais, died suddenly on Nov. 1, 2003, at her home in Plano, Texas. Her funeral service was held at West Plano Presbyterian Church at 1 p.m. Nov. 5.
Mrs. LeBourdais was born June 4, 1958, in Atlanta, the daughter of Jack Otis Hurt and Mary Katherine Creal Hurt. Her paternal grandparents were Clarence Otis Hurt and Bernice Gates Hurt McMains. Maternal grandparents were George Gaines Creal and Gladys B. Chadwell Creal.
She attended James Island schools, including Fort Johnson High School. She then spent a school year attending Aberdeen Technical College in Aberdeen, Scotland, while her mother was teaching in that city. Upon her return, she attended the College of Charleston for three years. Her business career included employment as an administrator for the Lowcountry EMS Council. She later worked as customer service manager for Cellular One.
Her marriage took place June 12, 1989.
Mrs. LeBourdais was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church, her membership remaining at First Scots Presbyterian Church, Charleston, although she attended West Plano Presbyterian Church near her home in Texas.
Those surviving her are her husband, Duane; her son, Andrew Chadwell LeBourdais (9); her daughter, Alexandra Spalding Hurt LeBourdais (8); her mother, Mary Katherine Creal Hurt; her father, Jack Otis Hurt, and her stepmother, Luce Hurt, of Oklahoma; her sister, Melissa Katherine Hurt Richardson of Sumter; her half - sister, Meredith Bernice Hurt Compton of Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, including Sarah Michelle Andrews of Tallahassee, Fla., Anna Katherine Richardson of Sumter, Ryan, Kelby and Cason Compton of Oklahoma; her sister-in-law, Mrs. Gwen LeBourdais of San Diego, Calif.; father-in-law, Mr. Carl Joseph LeBourdais of The Villages, Fla.; friends and numerous cousins.
Memorials will be welcome at West Plano Presbyterian Church, 2709 Custer Road, Plano, TX 75075.
A memorial service is planned for Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. at First Scots Presbyterian Church, 53 Meeting St., Charleston, with a reception following.
BILLY L. KELLEY
HARTSVILLE - Funeral services for Billy L. Kelley, 74, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Carroll Pope will officiate with burial in the church cemetery directed by Brown - Pennington - Atkins Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends today from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Kelley died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003. Born in Darlington County, he was a son of the late Rivers L. and Pearl Mozingo Kelley. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, the Methodist Men's Club, and the Wesley fellowship Sunday school class. He was a retired farmer and a board member of the Production Credit Association.
Surviving are his wife, Leonora Jones Kelley of Hartsville; sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Linda Kelley, Troy L. Rogers and Carl J. Rogers Jr., all of Hartsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Howard of Bishopville, Libby Hughes of Goose Creek, Suzanne and Tim Cottingham of Cheraw, Amy Moore of Boiling Springs, Renee and Randy "Pee Wee" Smith of Hartsville; 18 grandchildren; nine great - grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Privette Kelley.

Mrs. Bullard died Tuesday, January 8, 2002. Born in Chesterfield County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Will M. and May Belle Johnson McManus. She was a member of Middendorf Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Blease Bullard, Jr. and William K. Bullard, both of Middendorf; daughters, Ruth B. Tuten of Hartsville, SC, Gracie Mae Locke of Lancaster, SC, Annie Sue Bullard of Middendorf, SC, Patricia Bullard of Homestead, FL; 23 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 11 great - great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary E. Franklin.

Mr. Brooks died Monday, June 3, 2002. Born in Richmond County, NC, he was a son of the late John B. and Hattie Morgan Brooks, Sr. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and was a 50 year member of the McBee American Legion Post #139. He was retired from Dupont with 35 years of service and was a deacon at McBee Baptist Church. He was a founding member of McBee Rescue Squad and a member of McBee Fire Department. He was a very committed and loving husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Lee Brooks of McBee, SC; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth H. and Judy Brooks, Sr. of McBee, SC, Lt. Col. (Ret) Randy and Prudence Brooks of Springfield, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Kay B.(RN) and Mack Cassidy of Florence, SC; brother, Bill Brooks of Lumberton, NC; sisters, Gladys White of Edenton, NC, Josephine Ratliff of McFar - land, NC, Lois Lowery of Spring - field, VA, Sue McRae of Laurinburg, NC, Peggy Currie of Wilmington, NC, Patsy White of Lumberton, NC; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Mr. Brooks will be dearly missed and loved forever.
