MILLPORT, AL -- Mrs. Byrd Billingsley, age 83, died March 16, 2005 at the Care Center of Vernon in Vernon, AL.
Mrs. Byrd Billingsley was born June 9, 1921 in Belton, SC, to the late F.B. and Antonia Smith Huffmann. She was a school teacher, and a member of the Propst Memorial Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by husband, Owen Billingsley.
Survivors include daughters, Laura Robinson of Atlanta, GA, Janet Madison (Charles) of Millport; son, Byron Billingsley (Libby) of Atlanta; sister, Susan Pruitt of Anderson, SC; granddaughters, Jeanette Smith (DeMarco) of Atlanta, Jessica Koehler (Eric) of Teluride, CO, April Billingsley of Orlando, FL; grandson, Paxton Billingsley of Atlanta.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2005, 11:00am at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Susie Knedlik officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Millport City Cemetery in Millport, AL.
Pallbearers will be Tolly Pruitt, Mike Pruitt, Richard Pruitt, Teddy Billingsley, Daryl Billingsley and Ricky Mayers.

BALTIMORE -- Patricia Anne Boggess Abernathy, 49, of 4905 Schaub Ave,, widow of Mark Abernathy, died Friday, March 11, 2005.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Kate E. Freeman Boggess. She was a retired office manager and served in the United States Army.
She is survived by her father, Edward Clayton Boggess of Belton; and her brother, Edward Clayton Boggess Jr. of Belton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, Anderson.
RESSIE M. WORKMAN
MARIETTA -- Ressie Mae Sloan Workman, 82, of 101 Mount Pilgrim Road died Friday, March 18, 2005, at her home.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by S.C. Franks Chapel of Remembrance of Liberty.
THERON GARNETT MOORE
BELTON -- Theron Garnett Moore, 76, of 3732 Highway 29 North, Belton, died Thursday, March 17th at his home. He was born in Anderson and was the son of the late Garnett Carlton Moore and Cecilia Moore. He was a member of Neals Creek Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge in Odessa, Texas and was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Moore; three daughters, Susan O'Dell of Ware Shoals, Chris McKinley and Kathy Dobbins of Belton; eleven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Louise Bailey of Anderson.
Funeral services will be 4PM Sunday, March 20, 2005 in the chapel of McDougald Funeral Home. The body will be cremated and his final resting place will be in the Forest Lawn Mausoleum.

PICKENS -- William Bruce Pitts, 40, of 306 S. Lewis St. died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Sylvester Eugene Pitts. He was a technician at Ellijean Plant, Easley, and was a member and deacon of Cold Spring Baptist Church, the Brotherhood Club and the choir.
Surviving are his mother, Brucie Pitts of Pickens; his widow, Lavelle J. Pitts of the home; son, William Brandon Pitts of the home; daughter, Latrice Shanette Pitts of the home; brother, Eugene Pitts of Easley; and sisters, Diane Washington of Dacusville and Mary Jo Acker of Winston Salem, N.C.
Services are at 3 p.m. Sunday at Cold Spring Baptist Church by the Rev. James W. Hallums and Ministers Elijah and Tolessa Scott; burial will be in the church cemetery. No visitation is planned at the funeral home. The body is at S.C. Franks Chapel of Remembrance, Liberty, and will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Sunday.
The family will be at 521 W. Lee St., Pickens, and 606 S. Lewis St. in Pickens.
WILLIE 'BIG BOY' PERRIN
MCCORMICK -- Willie Perrin, 69, of Archery Road died Friday, March 18, 2005, at Abbeville County Memorial Hospital.
He was born in McCormick County and was the son of the late Smith and Parrie Lee Patterson Perrin. He was a member of Mount Zion A.M.E. Church in McCormick County where he served on the trustee board and was the yard attendant. He was a retired logger.
Surviving are his widow, Mary Middleton Perrin of the home; daughters, Linda P. Cade, Ella Perrin and Melissa Perrin, all of McCormick, Lula P.Widmon of Dublin, Ga., Valarie P. Aikens of Abbeville and Shirley P. Norman of Little Rock, Ark.; sons, Willie Perrin Jr. of McCormick and Patrick Perrin of Greenwood; sisters, Irene Williams and Nina Middleton of Bridgeport, Conn., Mae Callaham of Abbeville and Thelma Sibert of McCormick; brothers, George Perrin of Augusta, Ga., Alexander Wideman of Lincolnton, Ga. and Curtis Sibert of Cincinnati; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family is at the home on Route 1, McCormick County.

ALVIN MALONE, SR.
BELTON - Alvin Malone, Sr., 93, widower of Lucia Bratcher Malone, of 308 Breazeale St., died Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Earl Malone and Minnie Richey Malone. He attended High Praises Church of God in Williamston and was a retired textile worker.
Surviving are sons, Dink Malone and Dan Malone, both of Belton; sister, Dorothy Morris; brother, Billy Malone, both of Columbia; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maggie D. Malone; a stepdaughter, Barbara Shockley; a granddaughter, Terri Lanee; one stepgranddaughter, Dianne Gilstrap; three sisters; and two brothers.
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cox Funeral Home chapel by the Revs Chris Sustar, Ken Anderson and Ricky Knight; burial will follow at Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

NEWARK, N.J. - Emanuel Earle, formerly of Belton, died Friday, April 15, 2005in Newark, N.J.
He was the son of the late Lawrence (Red) Earle and Lillie Moss Earle of Belton.
Surviving are sisters, Alice J. Hilliams, Geneva Earle and Annie L. Fennell, all of Washington, D.C.; and a brother, Lawrence Earle Jr. of Philadelphia, Pa.

PELZER, Mary Helen Mullinax Barnett, 85, formerly of 45 Goodrich Street, widow of Wade Zacheus Barnett, died Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Anderson Area Medical Center.
Born in Anderson County, she was a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church
Surviving are daughters, Sara Jo Davenport of Anderson, Judy Moore of Pendleton and sister, Thelma Ellenburg of Boiling Springs, 5 grandchildren, Patti Roper, Mike Davenport, Lindi Moore, Kevin Moore, Will Moore, 4 great grandchildren, Brittney Davenport, Hampton Davenport, Elijah Moore and Samantha Moore.
She was predeceased by a son, Douglas Barnett.
Funeral services will be 3 pm Tuesday at Gray Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery.
The family is at the home of Judy Moore, 519 Harper Road, Pendleton, and will receive friends from 2 - 3 pm Tuesday at the funeral home prior to services.

MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio - Hope L. Winfrey, 33, of Maple Heights, died Thursday, April 21,2005.
She was the daughter of William (Pete) Donaldson and Estella C. Donaldson.
Surviving are widower, Ricarlo Winfrey; son, Justin M. Westerfield; daughter, Alura L. Winfrey of Ohio; brother, James Clinkscales; and sisters, Deborah Bolden and Rosanna Farley of Ohio.

He was the son of the late James Edward Hackett.

Born in Calhoun Falls, she was the daughter of the late Joe Allen Manning. She was formerly employed at Sears.
Surviving are widower, Ricky Wooten of the home; her mother, Inez Williams Manning of Belton; brother, Kenny Manning of Calhoun Falls; and a sister, Faye Viraq of Fort Worth, Texas.
Services are at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by the Rev. Ralph Pitts. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
