Seneca - Calvin Coolidge Marcus, 70, of 405 Overbrook Dr., died in Springfield, VA.
Born in Oconee County in 1936 he was the used car manager of S&S Auto Sales.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving is wife, Betty Sue Head Marcus of the home, stepson Sgt. George B. Cain of Ft. Campbell, KY, stepdaughters Peggy L. Cain and Nancy Jane Cain both of Westminster, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren, brothers James, Billy and Ralph Marcus all of Westminster and Bruce Marcus of Seneca, sisters Edna Dockins, Linda Chambers and Emily Carver all of Seneca.
His parents Lee and Ora Cordelia Lee Marcus, brothers Dean and Jack Marcus and sister Flora Long precede him in death.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster.
Burial will follow at Calvary Church of God Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family is at their respective homes.
Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Westminster – David Aaron Dickson, 54, of 222 Dickson St., died Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at his residence.
Born in Oconee County, he was employed by Itron, Inc where worked in design qualification.
David was a graduate of Tri County Tech.
He was a member of Westminster Baptist Church, the Coed Sunday School Class and the Wheels of Faith Motorcycle Ministry.
Surviving are wife, Karen Moore Dickson of the home, daughter Brandyn Carlton and husband Jonathan of US Army National Guard, Pendleton, stepson Andy Bennett and wife Jennie of Westminster, step daughter Rachel Bennett of Westminster, sisters Barbara King and husband Frank of Seneca and Rachel Dickson Derrick of Westminster, two grandchildren Brooke Carlton and Drew Bennett.
His parents Jesse Rupert and Gladys Kelly Dickson and infant brother Donald Dickson precede him in death.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, July 13, 2007 at Westminster Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
The body will lie in state at 1 pm.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Thursday, July 12, 2007 at the Sandifer Funeral Home.

Westminster – Jeffrey “Jeff” Scott Perry, 44 of 217 Oak Grove Rd., died Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at his residence.
Born in Toledo, OH in 1962, he was a subcontractor for Larry Wellington.
He was a veteran of the US Navy.
Surviving are wife, Diane Brooks Perry of the home, sons, Jacob and Blake Perry of Ohio, daughters Niki Corbett of Walhalla and Quicha Tannery of Westminster, brother James Perry of Michigan, sisters Linda Ossitifin and Cindy Harrelson of Michigan, father and mother-in-law, Charles and Betty Brooks of Westminster, brother-in-law, Jody Smith, sisters-in-law, Wanda Smith and Stacy Brooks of Westminster and five grandchildren, Riley Queen, Zoe Corbett, Tabor Harden, Kai Corbett, Kane Miller
His parents Melvin and Shirley Lambrercht Perry precede him in death.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2007 at the Westminster Church of God of Prophecy.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
The family is at the home of Charles and Betty Brooks, 151 Carver Rd., Westminster.

MABEL C. WHITMIRE
Westminster – Mabel Cashin Whitmire, 91, formerly of 309 N. Ave. died shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Oconee County, she attended Westminster High School and was a member of Westminster Baptist Church, and a dedicated homemaker.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar James “Eddy” Whitmire and son Robert Lewis Whitmire
She was the daughter of the late Ozzie Esmond and Janie Wyly Cashin, and had survived the loss of brothers Gordon Lamar (Westminster), Edward Thomas (Orangeburg), Frank Hall (Westminster), Albert Brandes (Villa Rica, Ga.), Henry Barkley (Westminster), and sister Ethel C. Dance (Toccoa, Ga.).
She is survived by her sister, Sarah Cashin Wilhelm of Clemson and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2007 in the First Baptist Memorial Park in Westminster.
Reverend John McKnight will officiate.
The family will receive friends 1 – 1:45 p.m. Friday, at the Sandifer Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted.

Fair Play – Eunice Tucker Sheriff, 87 of 207 Farmhouse Lane died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at Country Christian Care in Fair Play.
Born in Oconee County in 1919, she was homemaker and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Homer, Ga.
Survivors include sons Harold Sheriff and wife Betty, Reverend David Sheriff and wife Rachel, Jimmy Sheriff and wife Faye, daughters Patricia Fullbright and husband Danny, Barbara Freeman and husband William, 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Her husband John Malcolm Sheriff, son John Wayne Sheriff, parents Samuel and Eloise Moore Tucker, brothers Ray, Charles and Marvin Tucker and grandson David Sheriff, Jr. precede her in death.
Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, July 7, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster.
Burial will be 3 pm Saturday at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Homer, GA.
The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Friday, July 6, 2007 at the Sandifer Funeral Home.

Fair Play – Frances Russell Stancil, 87, formerly of W. Pine Grove Rd., died Tuesday, July 03, 2007 at her daughter’s home in Fair Play.
Born in Jefferson City, TN in 1919, Mrs. Stancil retired from J.P. Stevens Clemson Plant and was a member of Fair Play Church of God.
Survivors include sons Eddie L. Stancil of Fair Play, Rev. Larry E. Stancil of Townville, and Marty Stancil of Fair Play, daughters Jeanene Evans of Bowersville, GA, Avelene Brewer of Seneca and Sandra Harper of Fair Play, brothers Hobert Collins of Knoxville, TN, half-brothers Henry Ford Russell of Portland, OR and James Russell of Arizona, sister Gladys Cothran of Knoxville, TN, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Her husband, Rev. Robert Edgar Stancil and parents Henry McCorkle and Nellie Mae Wright Russell precede her in death.
Funeral services will be 11 am, Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the Fair Play Church of God in Fair Play.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at the Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster.
