LANCE LINDENFIELD
Westminster, S.C. – Lance Michael Lindenfield, 66 of 107 Point Place Dr. died Monday, August 20, 2007 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1940; he lived in the Hackettstown area over ten years.
Mr. Lindenfield was a Mason and a Cub Scout Leader.
He was a foster parent in New Jersey and Georgia and volunteered in many civic organizations in addition to being a counselor on a drug help line.
Mr. Lindenfield was a member of the Mountain Park Masonic Lodge #729 in Stone Mtn., GA.
He was a manufacturing sales representative and has owned and operated a vacuum cleaner business.
His wife, Margarite Padula Lindenfield, daughter Kris Abouyan of Canton, GA and brother and sister in law Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Padula survive him.
His parents, Fabian and Evelyn Levowsky Lindenfield, predecease him.
Graveside services will be 2 pm, Friday, August 24, 2007 at Hackettstown Union Cemetery in Hackettstown, New Jersey. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm, prior to the service at the Cochran Funeral Home in Hackettstown, NJ where Masonic rites will be given. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Hospice of the Foothills Foundation, 390 Keowee School Rd., Seneca, SC 29672.

Mandy Virginia Brown Floyd, 87, of 424 Budner Dr., Westminster, died Saturday, August 4, 2007 at her residence.
Born in Atlanta, Ga., she was the widow of the late James Edward Floyd and was a homemaker.
Survivors: Sons – Jim Floyd of Cullman, Ala., Ralph Floyd of Westminster & Joe Floyd of Omaha, Ala.
Daughters – Ethel Delp of Jacksonville, Ala. & Linda Simmons of Columbus, Ga.
12 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, her parents, Daniel Gustus & Lydia Charlotte Ethridge Brown precede her death.
Burial will be in Cullman, Ala.

Ila Bee Freeman Sorrells, age 99, of 620 Old Salem Road, Seneca, and widow of Ralph Price Sorrells, died Sunday morning, Sept. 23, 2007, at her residence.
Born in Oconee County in 1907 and the daughter of the late Claude Addison and Queen Victoria Dickson Freeman.
Mrs. Sorrells was a homemaker and a member of the Seneca Baptist Church.
Surviving are:
2 Sons: Charles Sorrells and wife Barbara of Seneca. Frank Sorrells and wife Marilyn of Knoxville, Tn.
1 Daughter: Linda Hilscher and husband Bill of Marietta Ga.
7 Grandchildren, 8 Great-grandchildren, and 1 Great-great-grandchild
Funeral Services will be held 2 P.M. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, from the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Palmer Keaton officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Oconee Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 1 hr. prior to services from the Sandifer Funeral Home.

William “Bud” Paschal Couch, 63 of 456 Fire Tower Rd., Seneca died, Friday, September 21, 2007 in St. Francis Regency Hospital, Greenville SC.
Born in Pike County, Ga. to the late Luther Lloyd & Alma Henderson Couch, he was retired from textile manufacturing and was an avid fisherman.
Survivors: Wife, Louella Taylor Couch of the home.
Sons: Kenneth McDaniel & Barry McDaniel of Whitmire, Scott McDaniel of Westminster & Mike Couch of Whitmire.
Daughter: Marsha Sanders and husband Richard of Charlotte, NC.
Sisters: Eloise Ackiss and Carolyn Barron of Georgia.

A Memorial Service will be held 3 PM, Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home, Westminster.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM at the Funeral Home prior to the service on Sept. 25th.
The family is at the residence on 456 Fire Tower Rd., Seneca, SC.

Born in Illinois to the late Leroy & Barbara Freeman Wilbanks, he was a Truck Driver and of the Catholic faith.

Beverly Diane Crane Smith, 60, of 180 Bear Track Rd., Walhalla, died Saturday, September 15, 2007 at her home.
Born in Walhalla to the late Sidney P. & Bettie Oliver Thornton, she worked approximately 20 years with J. P. Stevens, was former owner of The Flower Peddler in Walhalla and later worked for Shaw’s Florist in Seneca. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her husband, John “Ed” Smith of the home.

Westminster - Beatrice Singleton Mason, 93 of 207 South Isundega St., died Sunday, August 12, 2007 at Hospice House of Anderson.
Born in Oconee County in 1914, Mrs. Mason was a homemaker and a member of Westminster Baptist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.
Her husband, the late Waymon Otis Mason, parents James Franklin and Della Pickens Singleton, brothers Ulric P., James Phydell, Vivian F. and Clifton Singleton, and sisters Lois Rothell, Cecil Elrod and Musette Holland precede her in death.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, August 15, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Nazareth Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Townville - Linda Ann Cobb Cain, 57 of 1215 Ramage Rd., died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Oconee County in 1950, she was an employee at Kendall Mfg. She was a member of Townville Church of God.
Surviving are daughters: Teresa Hollifield and husband Matt of Westminster and Angie Prater and husband Bryant of Townville; four grandchildren; brothers: Charles, Robert, Sonny, Jimmy and Billy Cobb of Seneca and Don Cobb of Westminster; sisters: Betty Perry of Seneca, Nancy Cobb of Townville and Kathy Sosebee of Seneca; and special friend Jake Carter of Westminster.
Her parents Hubert and Annie Saylors Cobb, brothers Joe and Edward Cobb and daughter’s father Earl Cain precede her in death.
Funeral services will be 3 PM, Monday, August 13, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster. Burial will follow at Fair Play Church of God Cemetery.

Seneca – Rory Jett Vaughn, infant son of Shawn Vaughn and Courtney McReynolds died August 2, 2007 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Surviving in addition to his parents are sister Jade Vaughn of the home, paternal grandmother, Patricia Vaughn of Seneca, maternal grandparents Roy and Sue McReynolds of Morristown, TN.
Graveside services were Sunday August 5, 2007 at First Baptist Memorial Park.
