The family will receive friends at the home of his son, Ricky Lindsay, 2019 Grier Ave., Charlotte, his daughter, Jackie Davie, 1929 Finchley Drive, Charlotte, or his brother, Samuel Davie of 620 Omega Drive, Chester.

Ollie McCollum
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Ollie Price Humphries McCollum, 66, of 750 Sumter Ave. died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Elgin Baptist Church in Lancaster, with the Rev. Charles McAteer officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.
A native of Spartanburg, Mrs. McCollum was a daughter of the late Joseph Nicholas Humphries and Frostie Price Humphries. She was the widow of Donald I. McCollum Sr. A retired registered nurse, Mrs. McCollum graduated from York General Hospital School of Nursing and served at York General Hospital. She retired from Winthrop University infirmary. She was a charter member of Elgin Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Donald I. McCollum Jr. of the home and Randy Michael McCollum of Charlotte; her daughter, Beverly Nolen of Rock Hill; two brothers, Joseph Nicholas Humphries Jr. and Jesse A. Humphries, both of Lancaster; two sisters, Betty H. Kirk of Lancaster and Rebecca A. Trakas of Ridgeway; and her grandson.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 today in the church fellowship hall.

BLACKSTOCK - Mr. James Ronald "Jimmy" McCowan, 62, of 4522 Mountain Gap Road died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Rumford officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Shoals Presbyterian Church cemetery.
A native of Richburg, Mr. McCowan was a son of the late Thomas William McCowan and Carrie Belk McCowan. He worked for Safe Exterminating Service and attended Lewisville schools. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Patsy S. McCowan; his stepson, Timothy Minors of Great Falls; three stepdaughters, Sharon Fowler, Patty McInvaille and Tammy Self, all of Great Falls; his brother, Bobby McCowan of Great Falls; three sisters, Betty Stone of Kershaw and Rhonda Conley and Sandra Hardee, both of Great Falls; and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.
Pearl Stringfellow
PITTSBURGH - Mrs. Pearl Chisholm Stringfellow died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at Universal Presbyterian Hospital.
The funeral will be 4:30 p.m. today at Mount Hopewell Baptist Church in Rodman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Chester County, Mrs. Stringfellow was a daughter of the late Will Chisholm and Purlar Shelton Chisholm.
Surviving are four brothers, Nathaniel Chisholm, Elliott Chisholm, Alfonzy Chisholm and John Charles Chisholm, all of Portsmouth, Va.; and five sisters, Annie Mae Young, Ella Caldwell and Teresa Caldwell, all of Rock Hill, and Mildred Moffatte and Ada Young, both of Portsmouth, Va.
The body will lie in state at 2 p.m. until the service at church.

WARRIOR, Ala. - Mrs. Doris Keith Sanders, 73, of 412 Mae Circle died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center in Princeton, Ala.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery in York.
A native of Ohio, Mrs. Sanders was a printer.
Surviving are her son, Sidney Keith Sanders of Chapel Hill, N.C.

Annie Wallington
Harrisburg, Pa. - Mrs. Annie M. Wallington, 89, formerly of Union, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000, in Harrisburg, Pa.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Corinth Baptist Church, with the Rev. J. A. Calhoun officiating and the Revs. Paul Long and Anthony Brown assisting. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens in Union.
A native of Fairfield County, Mrs. Wallington was a daughter of Lawrence Murphy and Lucy Suber Murphy. She was the widow of Charlie Wallington Sr. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, a choir member and missionary. She attended public school in Fairfield County. She was a retired domestic worker.
Surviving are three daughters, Hattie Chisolm and Annie Staff, both of Harrisburg and Mozella W. Wright of Chester; five sons, Charlie Wallington of Mitchellville, Md., George Holloway of Union, Clyde Holloway of Alaska, Norman Holloway of Harrisburg and Lawrence Wallington of Omaha, Neb.; her sister, Martha Martin of Huntington, W.Va.; two brothers, Charlie Murphy of Harrisburg and Fred Murphy Sr. of Chester; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

A native of York County, Mrs. Berry was a cafeteria worker in the Clover school district.

A native of Great Falls, Mrs. Broome was a daughter of the late Ashley C. McIntyre and Pearl Roberts McIntyre. She was a member of West Main Church of the Nazarene and a homemaker.

A native of Philadelphia, Mrs. Catoe was a daughter of the Rev. Walter Phelps of Abbington, Va., and Nora J. Phelps Emery of Richmond, Va. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Catoe was self-employed as a medical records administrator and consultant. She was a member of American Medical Records Association, Chapter L Red Rose Riders and Second Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Samuel Catoe Jr. of Lancaster; two sons, Samuel Catoe III of Columbia and John Franklin Bledsoe of Richmond; five daughters, Barbara Ann Batten of Prince George, Va., Pamela Renee Elliott of Jacksonville, N.C., Mary Beth Brown of O'Fallon, Mo., Crystal Lynn Clarke of Lancaster and Jacqueline Renee Adkins of Rock Hill; six brothers, Seth Phelps, Brian Phelps, Eugene Phelps, Tim Emery, Carl Emery and Kenneth Emery, all of Virginia; two sisters, Barbara Davis and Kay Sirles, both of Virginia; and 11 grandchildren.

York - Mr. Alfred C. "Big Al" Clark, 63, of 1080 Cedar Spring Road died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Gloryland Freewill Baptist Church in Rock Hill, with the Rev. Phil Lemmons officiating and the Rev. Richard Little assisting.
A native of Elk Hurst, W.Va., Mr. Clark was a son of the late Clarence Clark and Priscilla Butcher Clark. He was a self-employed logger and attended Gloryland Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Viola Reid Clark of York; two sons, John Clark and Jerry Clark, both of York; seven daughters, Betty C. Mrs. Davis was a daughter of the late Walter A. Byrd and Susie Mungo Byrd. She was the widow of James Edward Davis. A homemaker, Mrs. Davis was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Sunday school class and senior citizens.
Surviving are four sons, Randy B. Davis of Irmo, James Michael Davis of Bettsville, Ohio, Harvey B. Davis of Houston and Joseph B. Davis of Streetsboro, Ohio; her daughter, Pamela Wooten of Anchorage, Alaska; five brothers, William A. Byrd of Union, Miller J. Byrd of Lancaster, Robert "Bobby" Byrd and Fred Byrd, both of Kershaw, and Walter Byrd Jr. of Lancaster; three sisters, Pauline Shealy and Mattie Lee Byrd, both of Columbia, and Helen Byrd Knight of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Davie was a son of the late Charlie Davie and Willie Mae Bell Walker Davie. He attended Gethsemane Baptist Church and Chester County schools. He was employed at Pepsi-Cola as a forklift driver. He was formerly married to Doretha H. Davie.
Surviving are six sons, Ronald Lindsay, Ricky Lindsay, Austin Davie, Robert Davie and Jarvus Davie, all of Charlotte, and John Edward Davie of New Jersey; his daughter, Jacqueline Davie of Charlotte; his brother, Samuel Davie of Chester; 15 grandchildren; his great-grandchild; and his devoted friend, Helen Lindsay of Charlotte. YORK - The Rev. John P. Smith, 80, of 316 Lincoln Road died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hillcrest Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Richard Dillingham officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
A native of Richmond County, N.C., the Rev. Smith was a retired Church of God minister. He served churches in Society Hill, Greeleyville, Manning and Hickory Grove. He was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church of God in Rock Hill. An Army veteran of World War II, he served as a member of the 778th Tank Battalion.
Surviving are his wife, Inez Cumber Smith; two sons, Sam Smith of Gastonia, N.C., and George Smith of York; two daughters, Marilyn Smith Ramsey of Fountain Inn and Stephanie Smith Broach of Mooresville, N.C.; his brother, Mack Smith of Rockingham, N.C.; two stepsisters, Violet S. Lyles of Statesville, N.C., and Helen Smith of Wallace; and five grandchildren.
