ROCK HILL - Mrs. Marilyn Diane "Mutt" Barnes, 42, of 265 Trexler Lane died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Rawlinson Road Baptist Church, with the Rev. Terry Corder officiating and the Rev. Ken Jones assisting.
Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill.
A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Barnes was a daughter of Minnie McFadden Caston of Rock Hill and the late Floyd Odell Long.
Mrs. Barnes worked at Smith Enterprises, Inc., and was a member of Rawlinson Road Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Henry "Sonny" Barnes of the home; her daughter, Angela "Angel" Barnes Sharpe of Rock Hill; her stepfather, Horace Caston of Rock Hill; her stepson, Frederick "Eddy" Barnes of Rock Hill; two brothers, Raymond Long and Michael Long, both of Rock Hill; her sister, Sherry Caston of Rock Hill; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home-Downtown Chapel and other times at home.

Betsy Blos
NEW YORK - Mrs. Betsy Thomas Blos, formerly of York, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital in New York.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Union Baptist Church cemetery in York.
A native of York, Mrs. Blos was a daughter of the late Dunnie Thomas and Elsie Hartness Thomas.
She was the widow of Dr. Peter Blos.
Surviving are her brother, Dr. Ben D. Thomas of Raleigh, N.C.; and her sister, Wilma Thomas Florence of Norfolk, Va.
The family will receive friends at the graveside after the service.

Frank Granata
LANCASTER - Mr. Frank Phillip Granata, 88, of 1601 Maplewood Ave. died Thursday, June 29, 2000, at White Oak Manor in Lancaster.
The funeral will be 11 p.m. Saturday at St. Catherine Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Thomas Morrison officiating.
Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.
A native of Fredonia, N.Y., Mr. Granata was a son of the late George and Antonina Granata.
He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church and was a retired service technician for Sears, Roebuck Co.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, serving in the European theater with the 502nd Engineers from Fort Bragg, N.C.
He was a member of Stafford Graham American Legion Post No. 31.
Surviving are his wife, Sara Elizabeth Gay Granata; his son, William James Granata of Heath Springs; his daughter, Mary Ann Manganiello of Buffalo; his brother, George Granata of Fredonia, N.Y.; three sisters, Mary Granata of Buffalo, Rose Orlando of Dunkirk, N.Y., and Sue Bonasera of Fredonia; and four grandchildren.
A wake will be at 6:30 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home, Lancaster Chapel, with a visitation following until 9 p.m.

Weldon Parnell Sr.
LEXINGTON, N.C. - Mr. Weldon Parnell Sr., 80, of 139 Chicasaw Road died Thursday, June 29, 2000, at W.G. Hefner V.A. Medical Center in Salisbury, N.C.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Salisbury National Cemetery on Statesville Boulevard with graveside military rites conducted by the Rowan County, N.C., Veterans Council.
Mr. Parnell was a son of the late Leola Coward Parnell and Hoyt Parnell.
He was the widower of Helen Jarvis Parnell.
He attended the schools in Hemingway.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and was a retired automobile mechanic.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are three sons, Weldon Parnell Jr. of Lexington, N.C., William Thomas Parnell of Rock Hill and James H. Parnell of W. Va.; his daughter, Martha Sanderfur of Greensboro, N.C.; his sister, Martha Morris of Andrews; seven grandchildren; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lyerly Funeral Home, 515 S. Main St., Salisbury, N.C., and other times at home in Lexington.

Eugene Weaver
WARRENTON, Ga. - Mr. Eugene H. Weaver, 78, of 101 Amber Run Court died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Beggs Funeral Home in Thomson, Ga., with Pastors Bill South and Darrell Weaver officiating.
Burial will be at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens in Thomson.
A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Weaver was the husband of Elizabeth Weaver-Warrenton.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a retired maintenance worker.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Marshall Weaver of Corpus Christi, Texas, Stephen Darrell Weaver of Midville, Ga., and James Michael Weaver of Burke, Va.; his daughter, Sarah Weaver of Virginia Beach, Va.; five sisters, Margie W. Dawkins of Charlotte, Joyce Aldridge of Rock Hill, Dezeire Powell of Anderson, Bonnie Thomas of Edgemoor and Jewell Allred of York; and eight grandchildren.

Gwendolyn Williamson
UNION - Mrs. Gwendolyn "Gwen" Bullington Williamson, 71, of 119 Woodlawn Ave. died Thursday, June 29, 2000, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Van Eddington officiating.
Burial will be at Bethesda Presbyterian Church in McConnells.
A native of Spartanburg, Mrs. Williamson was a daughter of the late Rev. Thomas Earl Bullington and Nell Harrison Bullington.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She worked for Southern Bell Telephone Co. and served as director of Volunteer Service at Wallace Thompson Hospital for a number of years.
Surviving are three daughters, the Rev. Lynn Williamson of Shelbyville, Ky., Kathy W. Hoke of Richmond, Va., and Jane W. Kiekhaefer of Mid-land, Mich.; three brothers, the Rev. Ed Bullington of Chesnee, and Charles Bullington and William H. Bullington, both of Spartanburg; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
