YORK - Mrs. Bernice Groski Griffin, 75, of 2576 Hord Road died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center in Gaffney.
A church mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Rock Hill, with Father John Giuliani presiding. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
A native of Hibbing, Minn., Mrs. Griffin was a daughter of the late Alexander Groski and Frances Rabel Groski. She was the widow of Robert E. Griffin.
She was a member of The Oratory in Rock Hill and was a retired secretary for the U.S. government.
Surviving are two sons, Daniel Denison of Tallahassee, Fla., and Kevin Griffin of Atlanta; three daughters, Deanna Nason of Owings Mills, Md., Deborah Denison of Tallahassee and Rebecca Brown of York; two brothers, James Groski of Hibbing and Joe Groski of California; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Greene Funeral Home-downtown chapel, from 6 to 7:30 tonight and other times at the home of her daughter, Rebecca Brown, at 2576 Hord Road, York.
Cecelia Helms
ROCKINGHAM, N.C. - Mrs. Cecelia McLean Helms, 79, of Rockingham died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at her daughter's home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Marks Creek Presbyterian Church, with the Revs. Nels Faulk and David Lukov officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
A native of Richmond County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Lawrence McLean Sr. and Hazel Cecelia Smith McLean. She was the widow of Coy Campbell Helms.
Mrs. Helms was a bookkeeper for Laurinburg Plumbing and Heating.
Surviving are three sons, Larry Helms and Andy Helms, both of Southern Pines, N.C., and Wayne Helms of Rock Hill; two daughters, Becky Evans and Hazel Livingston, both of Rockingham; her sister, Eleanor Wheeler of Hamlet, N.C.; two brothers, W.C. McLean and Lawrence McLean Jr., both of Hamlet; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Watson-King Funeral Home, Rockingham, and other times at the home of her daughter, Hazel Livingston on Shaffer Road, Rockingham.

GREAT FALLS - Mrs. Ruby Gregory Roddey Hensley, 84, of
12 Hampton St. died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Muse presiding. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
A native of Great Falls, she was a daughter of the late Ben C. Gregory and Kathleen Wilson Gregory. She was the widow of William E. Roddey and Coleman Hensley.
A member of First Baptist Church, she attended Great Falls schools and was retired from J.P. Stevens.
Surviving are her son, Kenneth Roddey of Gastonia, N.C.; her daughter, Billie Hollis of Lancaster; her brother, Ben Gregory of West Columbia; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mary McCullough
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mary Frances McCullough, 60, of 320 Barnes St. died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at First Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. L.L. Hancock officiating and Revs. Norman Hicklin and Mildred Patton assisting. Burial will be at Red Oak AME Church cemetery in Edgemoor.
Mrs. McCullough was a nurse's assistant. She attended First Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, Brandon Hutchinson of Rock Hill; two daughters, Brandy Hutchinson of Gastonia, N.C., and Mary Gilmore of Colorado; six brothers, Joseph Sutton and David Lee Sutton, both of Greensboro, N.C., Jamie Lee Sutton of Charlotte, Phillip Lee Sutton of Florida, Willie Lee Sutton of Rock Hill and Johnnie Sutton of Richmond, Va.; three sisters, Ann Kirpatrick of Fort Mill, Josephine Sutton of Charlotte and Virginia Johnson of New York; and two grandchildren.

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.C. - Mrs. Tina Dawn Almond Aiton, 37, of 29257 Lambert Road died Thursday, May 11, 2000, at Stanly Memorial Hospital in Albemarle, N.C.
Funeral services were Saturday at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Michael Harrill officiating. Burial was at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church cemetery.
A native of Cabarrus County, N.C., Mrs. Aiton was the daughter of Hoyle Lee Almond and the late Wanda Dawn Miller Almond. She was a nursing assistant.
Surviving in addition to her father are her husband, Edward T. Aiton Jr.; her daughter, Kayla Dawn Aiton of Mount Pleasant; and her paternal grandmother, Eva Miller of Albemarle.

Mitchell Griffin
FORT MILL - Mr. Mitchell Crawford Griffin, 62, of Fort Mill died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morgan Son Funeral Home in Marshville, N.C. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church, with the Revs. Fred Mandren and Edna Riggs officiating.
A native of Union, N.C., Mr. Griffin was the son of the late W. Crawford and Dora Baucom Griffin. He was a retiree of Shaw Industries.
Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Griggs Griffin; his son, Ronald Griffin of Summit, Miss.; his daughter, Roxanne Edwards of Columbia; his sister, Billie Outen of Charlotte; and five grandchildren.

SHELBY, N.C. - Mr. Roland Ellis Tate, 66, of 825 Elmwood Drive died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Rutherford Hospital, Rutherfordton N.C.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Frederick Memorial Park, Gaffney, with the Rev. Dolores Queen officiating.
A native of Hickory Grove, Mr. Tate was a son of the late Roland Cliffton and Fannie Ellis Tate. Mr. Tate was a retired pharmacist for CVS Pharmacy. He was a member of the N.C. Pharmaceutical Association and the Cleveland Co. Pharmaceutical Association. He attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He was a member of Cleveland Masonic Lodge No. 202 and the Oasis Shrine Temple, Charlotte. He was a graduate of Appalachian University and University of South Carolina.
Surviving are his wife, Libby Mitchell Tate; his son, Steven Ellis Tate of Charlotte; his daughter, Sandra Tate Vake of Charlotte; and his brother, Sherwood Tate of Shelby.

KINGSPORT, Tenn. - Mr. Elmer Adair Hunnicutt, 71, of 906 Birch St. died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at the Indian Path Medical Center in Kingsport.
A graveside service will be 3 p.m. today at Whitmire Cemetery in Whitmire, with the Rev. Tommy Howell officiating.
A native of Whitmire, Mr. Elmer was the son of the late Della Hunnicutt. He retired from the Rock Hill Police Department and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Kingsport and was a Navy and Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Gladys Irene Roddy Hunnicutt; his stepson, Stan Howell of Lancaster; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Leonard Putnam
ROCK HILL - Mr. Leonard Putnam, 75, of 509 Grier Lesslie Road died Monday, May 15, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A native of Fort Mill, Mr. Putnam was a Duke Power retiree. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Frances Putnam; his son, Tony Putnam of the home; his two daughters, Margie Myers and Kathy Williams, both of Fort Mill; his brother, Jack Putnam of Hendersonville, N.C.; his sister, Bessie Gibson of Lugoff; and four grandchildren.

A native of York County, Mr. Ramsey was the son of the late William A. Ramsey and Viola Breakfield Ramsey. He was the widower of Ida Mae Moss Ramsey. Mr. Ramsey was retired from Rock Hill Printing Finishing Co. He was a World War II veteran and served in the Navy. He was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Elaine Ramsey of Charlotte; and his grandson, Jason Grainger of Inman.

Samuel Robinson
LANCASTER - Mr. Samuel Morgan Robinson, 76, of 435 Grace Ave. died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

A native of Chester, Mr. Robinson was a son of the late Jones Morgan Robinson and Sara Ann McNinch Robinson. He was the widower of Annie Raye Shedd Robinson. He was retired from Springs Industries and was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church and the Hart Masonic Lodge No. 380.
Surviving are his son, Wayne Robinson of Lancaster; his daughter, Brenda Raye Robinson of Heath Springs; his two brothers, Marion D. Robinson of Chester and Fred G. Robinson of Six Mile; three grandchildren; and his great-grandchild.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Mr. Eddie Eugene Coleman, 50, of Greensboro, formerly of Blackstock, died Friday, May 12, 2000, in Greensboro.

A native of Fairfield County, Mr. Coleman was a son of Willie James Coleman Sr. and Viola Brown Coleman, both of Greensboro. He was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Fairfield County. He attended public schools in Greensboro and was an Army veteran.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are his daughter, LaTonya Coleman of Baltimore; three brothers, Willie James Coleman Jr., David Earl Coleman and Robert Lee Coleman, all of Greensboro; and his sister, Bertha Mae Cole of Greensboro.

LANCASTER - Mr. William T. "Ted" Dabney, 81, of 606 Gillsbrook Road died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at home.

A native of Camden, Mr. Dabney was the son of the late Doby Lawrence Dabney and Anna Odessa Torrence Dabney. He was the widower of Sibyl Robinson Dabney.
He was a retired supervisor of the S.C. Department of Highways and Transportation. He was a charter member and on the board of directors of the S.C. State Employee's Association. Mr. Dabney was a Mason with the Jackson Masonic Lodge #53, and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Shelby Wright of Lancaster; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A native of Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Seiler was the daughter of Walter Hauenstein and Carolyn Hilding Hauenstein of Garden Grove, Calif.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Steven Seiler; her son, Gregory Seiler of the home; her daughter, Angelia Seiler of the home; her brother, Steve Hauenstein of Denver; and two sisters, Terri Rennard of Seal Beach, Calif., and Lynn Driscoll of Fresno, Calif.
