ROCK HILL - Mr. Brian Keith "Doodle" Rhodes, 32, of 11 Poe St. died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Greene Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.
Mr. Rhodes was a son of John R. Rhodes of Belmont, N.C., and the late Faye Outlaw Rhodes.
He was employed by Allsop Engineering Inc. and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are his daughter, Katherine Michelle Rhodes of Rock Hill; his stepmother, Linda Rhodes of Belmont; two sisters, Dorothy Rhodes and Rachel Emerson, both of Rock Hill; his stepbrother, Sammy Roach of Rock Hill; two half sisters, Cindy Rhodes and Tracy Rhodes, both of Belmont; his fiancee, Terry Latham of Rock Hill; and his paternal grandmother, Dorothy H. Rhodes of Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greene Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister, Dorothy Rhodes, 1379 Flint St. Ext., Rock Hill.

Willie Mae Byrd
YORK - Mrs. Willie Mae Byrd, of 6B White Oak Apartments, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Gold Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. George McCoy officiating.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
The body may be viewed from 6 to 7 tonight at Wright Funeral Home.
Hazel Boyd
CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Hazel Johnson Boyd, 83, of Charlotte died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at Presbyterian Hospital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wolfe Funeral Home in Fort Mill, with the Pastor Kenneth Hardin officiating.
Burial will be at Flint Hill Baptist Church cemetery in Flint Hill.
Born in Chesterfield County, Mrs. Boyd was a daughter of the late Alma Evans Rudisill and James Henry Johnson Jr.
She was the widow of Theodore Henderson Boyd.
A lifelong resident of Charlotte, Mrs. Boyd was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She was employed for many years with Union Carbide Corp. and Carolina Metals.
She also worked as a cook for Play and Learn Day Care Center in Gastonia, N.C., until she retired.
She also enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening.
Surviving are three sons, Cecil Henderson Boyd of Marshville, N.C., and Joseph Richard Boyd and Anthony Jerome Boyd, both of Charlotte; three daughters, Barbara B. Schlagowsky of Wilmington, N.C., Mary B. Neal of Charlotte and Eunice B. McLean of Lenoir, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Dorothy B. Deck and Shirley Watson, both of Charlotte; four half-sisters, Henrietta J. McMees of Helena, Mont., Frances J. Dooley of Little River, Ida Belle J. Powell of Patrick and Virginia J. Oakley of Hartsville; her stepbrother, L. F. Fred Rudisill Jr. of Charlotte; her stepsister, Shirley Wilson of Charlotte; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Margaret Davis
FORT MILL - Mrs. Margaret Rowles Davis, 76, of 220 Amelia Ave. died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carolinas Cornerstone Church, with the Rev. George Dye and the Rev. Joe Lambert officiating.
A native of Meida, Pa., Mrs. Davis was a member of Carolinas Cornerstone Church and was a homemaker.
She was the widow of Paul Joseph Davis.
Surviving are two sons, Paul Davis of New York and Wayne Davis of Fort Mill; her brother, Fred Rowles of New Jersey; her sister, Jenny Kinffin of New Jersey; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home after the service.

Willie Fisher
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Willie Ricker Good Fisher, 97, of 487 Feemster Lane died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at White Oak Manor.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bullocks Creek Presbyterian Church cemetery in Sharon.
A native of Greeneville, Tenn., Mrs. Fisher was a daughter of the late Charlie Henry and Martha Ricker.
She retired from Monarch Mills in Lockhart after 31 years.
She attended Hopewell Presbyterian Church PCA.
Mrs. Fisher was the widow of Fred Good and James Fisher.
Surviving are her son, James Good of Lockhart; her daughter, Annie Mae Sealy of Rock Hill; two sisters, Bonnie Ricker Bakewell of Lancaster and Johnnie Taylor of Greeneville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

William Gaskin
LANCASTER - Mr. William Kenneth Gaskin, 78, of 1492 Flint Ridge Road died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Flint Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Steve Neal officiating.
A native of Russell Springs, Ky., Mr. Gaskin was a son of the late Ray Everette Gaskin and Jessie McGahan Gaskin.
He was the widower of Bruce Bowers Gaskin.
He was a member of Flint Ridge Baptist Church.
He was active in the Republican Party and a member of the Republican National Committee.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was in the 52nd DUKW at Anzio Beach and receive two Purple Hearts, the Bronze Service Star and the Silver Star.
Mr. Gaskin also received a certificate of service from the Department of the Army for 25 years of federal service with the Army Corps of Engineers.
He earned many commendations from the Army Corps of Engineers, among them outstanding performance during the Little River Inlet Navigation Projects and for dedicated service after hurricanes Camille and Hugo.
Surviving are his daughter, Joan G. Beaver of Gastonia, N.C.; five sisters, Hazel Bingham of Wartburg, Tenn., Katie Crutchfield of Jacksonville, Fla., Sue McDaniel of Kingston, Tenn., Dot Sommers of Anderson and Patsy Neskaug of Tressiville, Ala.; three brothers, Carlos Gaskin of Ellijay, Ga., George David Gaskin of Wartburg and Tom Jelecorse of Knoxville, Tenn.; his stepmother, Tressie Gaskin of Wartburg; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Mahaffey Funeral Home and after the service in the church fellowship hall.

Irene McCarter
GASTONIA, N.C. - Mrs. Irene H. McCarter, 68, of 215-C S. Marrietta St., formerly of Clover, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woodside Cemetery, with the Revs. Marlion Morton and Rick Duncan officiating.
A native of Franklin, N.C., Mrs. McCarter was a daughter of the late M.M. Holland and Edna Vinson Holland.
She was the widow of William Ray McCarter.
She was the retired secretary and treasurer of McCarter Oil Co. in Clover.
Surviving are her son, Felix A. Pruitt of Bessemer City, N.C.; her daughter, LaTah McCarter of Gastonia; her brother, Clarence Holland of Gastonia; two sisters, Marcella H. Campbell of Lowell, N.C., and Bonnie H. Bridges of Gastonia; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

W. Mason McConnell III
DOVER, Del. - Mr. W. Mason McConnell III, 58, of Dover died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Bayheath-Milford Memorial Hospital.
The funeral was Feb. 16 at Torbert Funeral Home.
Burial was at Sharon Hills Memorial Park.
A native of York, Mr. McConnell was a son of the late William Mason McConnell Jr. and Helen D. Taylor McConnell.
Mr. McConnell was a sixth-grade social studies teacher at W. Reily Brown Middle School, where he retired after 20 years.
He played bass guitar for Powder Mill County Band.
He was a ham radio operator and enjoyed working on his computer.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Felton.
Mr. McConnell was a member of Philanthropic Lodge No. 32 AFM of York, the York and Scottish Rite Bodies and was a Shriner.
He was a graduate of York High School and Newberry College and earned his master's degree at Appalachian State University.
He also was principal at schools in Bethany and Little Mountain, S.C.
Surviving are his wife, Priscilla L. McConnell; three daughters, Kimberly A. Cohee of Harrington, Del., and Shannon D. McConnell and Amanda M. McConnell, both of Felton; and five grandchildren.
Tristan Pope
YORK - Tristan Edward Pope, 2-week-old son of Jason Roy Pope and Stephanie Diane Whitcher Pope of 155 Flushing Drive died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir, N.C., with the Rev. Michael Issac officiating.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his paternal grandfather, Michael Pope of Hickory, N.C.; his paternal grandmother, Joyce Parsons Smithy of Lenoir; his paternal great-grandfather Robert Pope of Lenoir; his paternal great-grandmother, Virginia Gryder of Hickory; his paternal great-grandparents, Clarence and Gracie Parson of Lenoir; his maternal grandparents, Stephen and Jacquie Whitcher of Lenoir; his maternal great-grandparents, Ralph and Beverly West of Hudson, N.C., and Frank and Peggy Tucker of Branson, Mo.

KERSHAW - David Mitchell Wilson Jr., infant son of David Mitchell Wilson Sr. and Kimberly Farrell died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the House of Prayer Ministries Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Gainey officiating.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, Dustin Carter and Chris Farrell, both of Mooresville, N.C.; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Waites of Kershaw and David Wilson of Bethune; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Farrell of Camden.
