KERSHAW - Mr. Richard Clinton "Buddy" Bass, 49, of 4516-A Catawba Road died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cauthen Funeral Home's Kershaw chapel, with the Revs. Donnie Barrett and William Smith officiating. Burial will be at Gum Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery.
A native of Kershaw, Mr. Bass was a son of the late Joseph Baxter Bass and Janie Bass Price. He attended Gum Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church and was employed by Hermitage Mills.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his brother, Joseph Ben Bass of Kershaw; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home's Kershaw chapel and other times at the home of Maxine and Joe Bass, 2071/2 Mackey Drive, Kershaw.
Brianna Brown
YORK - Brianna Michelle Brown infant daughter of Jeremy Brown and Kimberly Walker of 638 Mount Gallant Road, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Grandview Memorial Park, with the Rev. Bill Shytle officiating.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her paternal grandparents, Carolyn and Terry Patterson of Rock Hill; her paternal great-grandparents, Diane Lowe of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Larry Walker of Rock Hill; her maternal grandparents, Carol Johnson of Rock Hill and Lloyd W. Brown Charleston, W.Va.; and her maternal great-grandparents, Joann and Lois Barnes of Rock Hill and Okey and Masel Brown of Geneva, Ohio.
The family will receive friends after the service.

Juanita Carnes
LANCASTER - Mrs. Juanita Crenshaw Carnes, 90, of Lancaster died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at Lancaster Convalescent Center.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Westside Cemetery, with the Rev. Needham Williamson officiating.
A native of Lancaster County, Mrs. Carnes was a daughter of the late Franklin Crenshaw and Nina Hilliard Crenshaw. She was the widow of Ross Carnes. Mrs. Carnes was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a nurse with the American Red Cross and served as an intern at Kershaw County Hospital.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends today after the service.

COLUMBIA - Mrs. Cecelia Price Davis, 82, of Tucker Center, formerly of Rock Hill, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at the center.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Charlotte, with the Rev. Tim Tomlinson officiating.
A native of Bamberg, Mrs. Davis was a daughter of the late E.B. Davis and Evelyn Brabham Price. A retired nurse, she worked at various hospitals in South Carolina, West Virginia and New York. She was a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church in Columbia.
Surviving are two sisters, Margaret P. Wright of Columbia and Ernestine P. Teal of Chapin.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Greene Funeral Home.
Hazel Huntley
LANCASTER - Mrs. Hazel Burns Huntley, 89, of 637 W. Brooklyn Ave. died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at home.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Lancaster Memorial Park, with the Rev. Roy Barnes officiating.
A native of Anson County, N.C., Mrs. Huntley was a daughter of the late James Atlas Burns and Dora Jane Birmingham Burns. She was the widow of John Dorsey Huntley. She was a member of First Baptist Church and attended the Camden School of Nursing. She was a homemaker and retired nurse.
Surviving are her son, John D. Huntley Jr. of Annapolis, Md.; two daughters, Mary Jo Huntley and Jane Huntley, both of Lancaster; two sisters, Susie Bedenbaugh of Greer and Virginia Ensley of Maryville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cauthen Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Barton, 2616 Charlotte Highway.
Harmon Yarborough Sr.
ROCK HILL - Mr. Harmon Lexton Yarborough Sr., 76, of 1530 Woodhaven Drive died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at home.
The funeral will be 7 tonight at Garden Sanctuary Church of God, with the Rev. Mike Wooten officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview Memorial Park.
A native of Lake City, Mr. Yarborough was a son of the late Harmon Lexton Yarborough and Maggie Miles Yarborough. He was retired from Winthrop University's maintenance department and was an Army veteran of World War II. He attended Garden Sanctuary Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen J. Yarborough; four sons, Harmon Lexton "H.L." Yarborough Jr. of Rock Hill, Bobby Miles, Tommy Miles and Arnold W. Miles, all of Coward; two daughters, Brenda M. Fennell of Lake City and Lynn S. Keefe of Coward; two sisters, Mattie Y. Coker of New Zion and Addie Y. Blackmon of Rock Hill; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

WINNSBORO - Mrs. Lizzie Ruth Moore of 890 Martin Road died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Fairfield Home in Ridgeway.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at White Oak Baptist Church No. 1 in Winnsboro, with the Rev. James H. Adams officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late Frank and Jannie T. Canty. She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church No. 1.
Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy McClinton and Doris Martin, both of Winnsboro; three sisters, Beatrice Richardson of Ridgeway and Survilla Ford and Etta Mae Rice, both of Great Falls; four brothers, Harvey Canty of Blackstock, Richard Canty of Chesterand James Canty and Clarence Canty, both of Winnsboro; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Washington Funeral Home in Great Falls and at other times at the home of her daughter, Dorothy McClinton, 44 Caution Road, Winnsboro.

Kate Martin
ROCK HILL -"Mrs. Kate Hynes Martin, 79, of 1765 India Hook Road died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at Sonshine Village.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at the Greene Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Shytle officiating.
A native of Louisville, Ky., Mrs. Martin was a daughter of the late Willshire Hynes and Anna McComb Hynes. She was a homemaker and of the Episcopal faith.
Mrs. Martin was the widow of Ivan Hill Martin Jr.
Surviving are two sons, James Willshire Martin of Peachtree City, Ga., and Bob Barrett Martin of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

MARSHVILLE, N.C. - Mrs. Louise Baker McClain, 81, of Marshville, formerly of Fort Mill, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Hospice House No. 1 in Monroe, N.C.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at McEwen Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Roger D. Brown officiating. Burial will be at Beulah Presbyterian Church in Monroe.
A native of Union County, N.C., Mrs. McClain was a daughter of Theoplus "Doc" Baker and Hattie Tadlock Baker. She was the widow of Garry McClain. Mrs. McClain was retired from Springs Industries.
Surviving are two sons, "Sonny" Flynn of Pottsville, Pa., and Sammy Flynn of Greer; three daughters, Doris Williams of Conway, Lois Stegall of Greer and Shirley Helms of Marshville; four sisters, Ruth Yar-borough of Chester, Willie Eudy of Monroe, Betty Pressley of Wingate, N.C., and Dorothy Brooks of Monroe; four brothers, Gene Baker of Indian Trail, N.C., Aaron Baker of Charlotte, Jimmy Baker of Monroe and Smith Baker of Fort Mill; 22 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

YORK - Mrs. Minnie Victoria Smith of 2473 S. Jim McCarter Road died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, N.C.
The funeral was Monday at M.L. Ford and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Verson Hodges officiating. Burial was at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late Pink Moses and Mary Jane Terry Moses.
Surviving are her husband, D.N. "Red" Smith; two daughters, Peggy Smith of York and Debbie Flemming of Dublin, Ga.; and her grandchild.
Dorothy Wiggins
BELMONT, N.C. - Mrs. Dorothy Mae "Dottie" Turner Wiggins, 73, of Sloan Street died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, N.C.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carothers Funeral Home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery.
A native of Gaston County, N.C., Mrs. Wiggins was a daughter of the late Lawrence Turner and Amelia Wiggins. She worked as a secretary with the North Carolina Vocational Rehab and was a member of the Catawba Heights Baptist Church for more than 20 years.
Surviving are her sister, Della Lingerfelt of Newton, N.C.; her grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Ted Rushing Sr.
YORK - Mr. Ted Martin Rushing Sr., 64, of 1813 Lincoln Road died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bratton Funeral Home. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
A native of Mint Hill, N.C., Mr. Rushing was son of the late Pearly T. Rushing and Vera Louise Stillwell Rushing. He was owner and operator of Jar Inc. in York and also working in heating and air conditioning. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict.
Surviving are his wife, Faye Patterson Rushing; three sons, Marty Rushing of Kings Mountain, N.C., and Keith Rushing and Robert Rushing, both of York; two daughters, Debbie Rushing Callaway of Gastonia, N.C., and Linda Rushing Rucker of Harrisburg, N.C.; and five grandchildren.

Janie Stinson
CHESTER - Mrs. Janie Jones Stinson, 56, of 115 Lowry St. died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at Chester County Hospital.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Phillip's Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rosalind Wilson officiating and the Revs. James Wilson and Moses Lightner assisting. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Chester County, Mrs. Stinson was a daughter of the late Willie Jones and Arsonia Craig Jones. She was a member of St. Phillip's Baptist Church, where she was a choir member, usher and treasurer of the Usher Board. She was a seamstress and was employed by Springs Industries. She was an entrepreneur in the fashion industry. She was a graduate of Finley High School.
Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Robert L. Stinson Sr.; her son, William Lamar Stinson of the home; two daughters, Regina Louise Stinson of Chester and Laverne Stinson of Columbia; four sisters, Louise McMullen of Edgemoor and Grace Jackson, Lucille Jones and Willie Mae Jones, all of Chester; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 7:30 tonight at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St. and at other times at the home of her daughter, Regina Stinson, 1554 Aaron Burr Road, Chester.
The body may be viewed from noon to 9 tonight and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at King's Funeral Home.
The body will be taken to the church at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Julia Bowers
LANCASTER - Mrs. Julia Nesbit "Spookie" Bowers, 78, of 938 Wilson Drive died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, with the Rev. Gilbert Rowell and the Rev. Dr. Roy Beckham officiating. Entombment will be in the mausoleum.
A native of Statesville, N.C., Mrs. Bowers was a daughter of the late Ebenezer Fielding Nesbit and Gertrude Lee Neill Nesbit. She was a member of First ARP Church and attended Mitchell College in Statesville.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Y. "Sonny" Bowers; and several nieces and nephews.
