ROCK HILL - Mrs. Sally Hamilton Bestall, 96, of 1330 India Hook Road died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.
A native of Belfast, Ireland, Mrs. Bestall was a homemaker and former member of Sardis Presbyterian Church, New Members and Cedarwood Country Club in Charlotte.
Surviving are her husband, Gus Bestall; her son, Brian Bestall of Rock Hill; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at 7 tonight at Westminster Towers Community Room, 1330 India Hook Road.

LANCASTER - Mr. David Lee Jordan Davis, 31, of 1719 Summit Ave. died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000.
The funeral will be noon Saturday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, with the Rev. Benjamin Murdock officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Chester County, Mr. Davis was a son of David Jordan and the late Mattie Crockett Jordan. His adoptive parents were the late Neal Davis and Annaline Crockett Davis. Mr. Davis was a construction worker.
Surviving in addition to his father are his wife, Renae Miller Davis; three sons, Davis Lee Davis Jr. of Rock Hill, and TyQuarious Miller and De'Yonta Miller, both of Lancaster; two daughters, Shaneka Cornwell of Rock Hill and Jac'Kiya Davis of Lancaster; four brothers, Rodney Harris and Marveesa Colbert, both of Lancaster, and William Crockett and Charles Crockett, both of Richburg; and seven sisters, Angela Davis, Elaine D. Walker, Nissey Harris, Tawana Harris, Bertha C. Boulware and Yvonne Crockett, all of Rock Hill, and Debra D. Cousar of Fort Lawn.
The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Clifford Fields Jr.
HEATH SPRINGS - Mr. Clifford D. Fields Jr., 56, of 5040 Muskett Road died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Fork Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Benjamin Simmons officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Cairo, Ill., Mr. Fields was a son of the late Clifford D. Fields and Belvia Luella Sutterfield Fields Sr. He was retired from General Tire and served in the Marines during the Vietnam era. He was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church, where he was active in the Golden Age Group.
Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Sims Fields of Heath Springs; his sister, Debra Pitcher of Anna, Ill.; and five brothers, David Fields of Rock Hill, and John Fields, Larry Fields, Lyndell Fields and Gary Fields, all of Clover.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 tonight at Mahaffey Funeral Home in Lancaster.

Louise Green
ROCK HILL - Mrs. Louise E. Green, 91, of 127 Murrah Drive, formerly of York, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Magnolia Manor.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Neely's Creek ARP Church, with the Revs. Jan Senneker and Eddie Ramsey officiating.
A native of Knoxville, Tenn., Mrs. Green was a daughter of the late Rev. Will Looney and Maude Looney. She was the widow of Fred Green. Mrs. Green was retired from Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Co. She was a member of Park Baptist Church and the York Senior Citizens in York.
Surviving are two sons, Edwin Eugene Green of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Curtis Henry Green of York; 22 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Rebekah Johnson Hinton died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at the Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles Woods. Internment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
A native of Clarendon County, Mrs. Hinton was a daughter of the late Harrison Johnson and Janie White Johnson. She was a former member of Hermons Presbyterian Church and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School.
She attended the public schools of Clarendon County and graduated from the first class for patient sitters from York Technical College. She was a member and officer of Rose of Sharon chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Robinson Funeral Home. Viewing will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Louise Killian
FORT LAWN - Mrs. Louise "Lu" Hindman Killian, 90, of 5626 Justice Drive died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Springs Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at El Bethel United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Chester County, Mrs. Killian was a daughter of the late W.J. Hindman and Dora Stogner Hindman. She was the widow of Thomas Killian Sr. A homemaker, she was a member of El Bethel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, with whom she lived, Jeannie Killian; her sister, Martha Bryant of Rock Hill; and two grandchildren.

Woodrow Marze
LANCASTER - Mr. Woodrow Davis "Woody" Marze, 83, of 4043 Red Doc Road died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. today at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with the Revs. Kenny Coker and Charles Bradley officiating. Burial will be at the Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery.
A native of Waxhaw, N.C., Mr. Marze was a son of the late Lester Davis and Nora Lee Keziah Marze. He was the widower of Ruth Dale Funderburk Marze.
Mr. Marze, who attended Bethlehem Baptist Church, was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a retired carpenter.
Surviving are two daughters, Jennie Ruth Guy and Mary Ann Clifton, both of Lancaster; two stepdaughters, Maude Catoe and Jacqueline Carnes, both of Lancaster; his stepson, A.T. Funderburk Jr. of Moncks Corner; two brothers, William Marze of Greenville and Lester Marze Jr., of Pineville; two sisters, Dorothy Miller of Charlotte and Brite Cook of New Orleans; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

LAKE CITY, Ga. - Mrs. Frances Kay Hilderbrand Mosteller, 59, of 2055 Rex Road, formerly of Clover, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Ga.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Clover, with the Rev. Wayne Kirk officiating. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery in Clover.
A native of Gaston County, N.C., Mrs. Mosteller was a daughter of the late James Marshall Hilderbrand and Johnsie Azelee McClure. She was the widow of Bobby Eugene Mosteller Sr.

Mosteller of Gastonia, N.C.; four daughters, Barbara Melton of Gastonia, Loretta Cline of Columbia, Debra Greene of Stanley, N.C., and Patricia Curry of Clover; two brothers, Wylie Hilderbrand and Carl Hilderbrand, both of Gastonia; her sister, Judy McCarter of Clover;
15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

ROCK HILL - Christina Whitfield, infant daughter of Ronald and Sandra Webb Whitfield of 1161 Pelhamwood Drive, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Ditton officiating. Internment will be private.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her brother, Alexander Whitfield of Rock Hill; her half-brother, Ryan Newman of Sandston, Va.; her paternal grandmother, Thelma Whitfield of Beckly, W.Va.; her great-grandmother, Lucille Gladesbrook of Madisonville, Ky.; and her maternal grandmother, Sandra Webb of Beckly.

BOONTON, N.J. - Mr. Herbert Hoover Williams, 70, formerly of Chester, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, in Boonton, N.J.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Mount Zion Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rodney T. Francis officiating. Burial will be in New Jersey.
A native of Chester county, Mr. Williams was a son of the late Garrett Williams Sr. and Willie Jackson Williams. He attended the public schools of Chester County and was a retired finisher and porter for Scerbo Buick Co. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, where he served on the Hymn Choir. He was a former member of Black Rock Baptist Church in Chester.
Surviving are his wife, Louise Dixon Williams; two brothers, Harvey Williams of Chester and Garrett Williams Jr. of Kannapolis, N.C.; four sisters, Josephine Coleman, Modistelle Mobley, Louvenia Adams, all of Chester and Willie Mae Reid of Charlotte.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Mrs. Betty Rayfield Adams, 76, of 5329 Mastin Lake Road died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, at home. A native of Chester County, Mrs. Jones was a daughter of the late Charles W. Corder and Elizabeth Wages Corder. She was the widow of Robert S. Jones. A homemaker, Mrs. Jones was a member of Uriel Presbyterian Church. She attended Chester County schools. Harold Ivy
ROCK HILL - Mr. Harold "Hal" Taylor Ivy, 69, of 830 Rocklyn Drive died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Catawba Baptist Church, with Dr. Tommy Huddleston officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park.
A native of Norcross, Ga., Mr. Ivy was a son of the late Tom Ivy and Lessie Lawson Ivy. He was a retired printer with Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Co., with 37 years of service. He was a former professional baseball player for the Rock Hill Chiefs, with whom he played catcher and right field. Mr. Ivy was a member of Catawba Baptist Church, where he worked with adult and youth athletic programs.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel Greer Ivy; three daughters, Danny Ivy Hall of Fort Mill, and Donna Ivy Strickland and Denise Ivy Wallace, both of Rock Hill; his brother, Thomas Ivy of Norcross; his sister, Louise Ivy Clark of Eatonton, Ga.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
