William Peltchie
KERSHAW - Mr. William "Bill" Peltchie, 44, of 7190 Taxahaw Road died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.
The funeral will be private.
A native of Bronning, Mont., Mr. Peltchie was a son of the late Ben Peltchie and Martha Medicine Peltchie. He was an Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia O. Peltchie; his son, Danny Outen of Dalzell; his daughter, Mary Libby Catoe of Kershaw; three brothers, Parnell LeBrett and Charles LeBrett, both of Spokane, Wash., and Ben Peltchie of Walla Walla, Wash.; two sisters, Isabelle LeBrett of Spokane, Wash., and Peggy Peltchie of Grand Junction, Colo.; five grandchildren; and his great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the home of Virginia O. Peltchie, 7190 Taxahaw Road.

RICHBURG - James Kentrelle "Kent" Suber Jr., 15, of 881 Old Mill Road died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Aimwell Baptist Church in Blackstock, with the Rev. Anderson Owens officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Chester County, Kent was a son of James E. Suber Sr. and Willie Mae Gladden, both of Richburg. Kent was a member of Aimwell Baptist Church and a ninth-grade student at Lewisville High School. He was a junior varsity football player. He formerly attended Chester Middle School.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, Cedric K. Suber of the home and Paul Anthony Suber of Laurens; four sisters, Kekisha Boulware of Great Falls, Shayonda Gladden of Rock Hill, Shakem Suber of Chester and Tierra Suber of the home; his maternal grandfather, Willie Ike Gladden of Richburg; his paternal grandmother, Ella Suber of Chester; and two maternal great-grandmothers, Mary Gladden of Richburg and Lucy Anderson of Great Falls.
The family will receive friends at home.
The body will be taken to the church at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Freddie Boulware
ROCK HILL - Mr. Freddie Lynn Boulware, 38, of 752 Cedar St. died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Gold Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. George McCoy officiating. Burial will be at Uniondale Cemetery.
Mr. Boulware was a former General Tire employee and was an U.S. Army veteran. He was baptized at Gold Hill Baptist Church at an early age.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Shannon Boulware of Rock Hill; two sons, Lamont Shannon and Freddie Boulware Jr., both of Rock Hill; two daughters, Stephanie Shannon and Shana Shannon, both of Rock Hill; his father, Esau Boulware Sr. of the home; his mother, Loudelia C. Boulware of the home; three brothers, Esau Boulware Jr. of Columbia, Gregory Boulware of Rock Hill and Jacob Boulware of York; and two sisters, Judy Minter and Brenda Burris, both of Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends at home.
The body may be viewed from 6:30 to 7:30 tonight at Wright Funeral Home in York.

JEFFERSON - Mrs. Edythe M. Hendrick of Jefferson died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, at Union Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Jefferson Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Jefferson Cemetery.
Mrs. Hendrick was the widow of Earl H. Hendrick.
Surviving are four daughters, Rita Ann Rollings of Lancaster, Jill Adams and Linda Pigg, both of Jefferson, and Melonie Griffin of Pageland; her sister, Geneva Belk of Greenville; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

LANCASTER - Mr. Timothy McCoy "Tim" Miles, 32, of 2827 Kendlewood Drive died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church, with the Revs. Mitchell Ingram and Dr. Tommy Bryson Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.
A native of Lancaster County, Mr. Miles was a son of Bobby F. Cauthen and Charles and Jerry Diane Horton Miles, all of Lancaster. Mr. Miles was employed by Gen Corp Print World in Monroe, N.C., as a press operator. He was a member of Freedom Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Michelle "Monk" Helms Miles; two sons, Timothy Michael Miles and Brandon Clyde Miles, both of the home; his daughter, Brandy Michelle Miles of the home; his sister, Karen Miles Kolb of Lancaster; his half-brother, Robert Cauthen of Fort Lawn; his maternal grandmother, Betty Horton of Lancaster; and his paternal grandparents, Maggie Miles and Ray Cauthen, both of Lancaster.

Robert Whitley
MYRTLE BEACH - Mr. Robert "Larry" Whitley, 58, of Leaf Terrace died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999, at Carolinas Hospital Systems in Florence.
A native of Charlotte, Mr. Whitley was a son of Robert Whitley and Margaret Foreman Whitley of Rock Hill. He attended Wofford College and the University of South Carolina in Columbia. He was a music composer and writer.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Toni Bellin Whitley; two daughters, Cheri W. Sprankle of Columbia and Dr. Kristel W. Causby of Maggie Valley, N.C.; his stepdaughter, F. Katherine Williams of Myrtle Beach; his stepson, Stuart Bellin Williams of Brooksville; and his granddaughter.

YORK - Mrs. Virginia Pearl Robinson Benfield, 76, of 2309 Sutton Springs Road died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at home.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Friday at Mount Carmel Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev. John Cody officiating and the Rev. Chris Ballard assisting. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
A native of York, Mrs. Benfield was a daughter of the late Sam Robinson and Maggie Norman Robinson. She was the widow of Lewis Heyward Benfield. A member of Mount Carmel Freewill Baptist Church, Mrs. Benfield was a retired textile worker.
Surviving are three sons, Jerry Benfield and Leonard Heyward Benfield, both of York and Perry Benfield of Weaverville, N.C.; three daughters, Margaret Peterson and Peggy Parker, both of York and Louise Turner of Chester; two brothers, Glenn Robinson of York and Sam Robinson Jr. of Clover; four sisters, Ida Belle Porter of Rock Hill, and Annie Dorsett, Willie May Neil and Mary West, all of York; 23 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the home of her son Jerry Benfield, 2285 Sutton Springs Road, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight.

WEST COLUMBIA - Mrs. Marie Thomasson Chambers, 87, formerly of York, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at Baptist Medical Center in Columbia.

A native of York County, Mrs. Chambers was a son of the late Horace Thomasson and Marie Whitaker Thomasson. She was the widow of McCall Chambers. A secretary, she was retired from Rock Hill Printing Finishing Co. She was a former member of Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church where she was a choir member.
Surviving are her son, Dr. Gerald Chambers of West Columbia; her sister, Nell T. Metts of Decatur, Ga.; and her grandchild.

A native of Kershaw County, Mrs. Gregory was a daughter of the late John Marvin Elliott and Ara Hough Elliott. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She graduated from Camden High School and Winthrop College.
Surviving are her husband, George T. Gregory Jr.; two sons, George T. Gregory III of Myrtle Beach and William E. Gregory of Columbia; her brother, Dick F. Elliott of Myrtle Beach; four sisters, Margaret Hall, Nancy Ogburn and Mary Jones, all of Camden and Martha Walters on Monroe, N.C.; and four grandchildren.

Surviving are her son, Elton Horton of Lancaster; two daughters, Annalene Michaw and Linda Hanna, both of Lancaster; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A native of Fairfield County, Mr. Jackson was a son of the late Cye Jackson and Maggie Shivers Jackson. He was retired from Cone Mill in Pineville, N.C., as a dobber. He was a member of United Deliverance Pentecostal Church, where he was in the hymn choir. He attended the public schools in Fairfield County.
Surviving are his son, Curtis Jackson of Charlotte; three brothers, Cye Jackson of Baltimore and J.C. Martin and James Martin, both of Charlotte; three sisters, Ebenezer Massey and Martha Hinton, both of Rock Hill, and Earline Singleton of Charlotte; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Friday.

CHESTER - Mr. Raymond Harold Parr, 70, of 3834 Victory Drive died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
A graveside service with military rites will be 11 a.m. Friday at the National Cemetery in Florence.
A native of Inkster, Mich., Mr. Parr was a son of the late Henry Parr and Helen Turgeon Parr. He was a retired carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Marie Cunningham Parr; his son, Michael R. Parr of Richburg; three sisters, Eva McGhin and Lillian Gaisbauer, both of Tampa, Fla., and Betty Cooper of Springhill, Fla.
