Clarence "BoKoon" Sherman
BUCKSPORT -- Clarence "BoKoon" Sherman, age 77, husband of Sarah Frances Bellamy Sherman, of the Bucksport section of Horry County, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004 at the Loris Community Hospital.
Mr. Sherman was the son of the late Rev. Buck and Beulah Faulk Sherman. He was educated in the Richardson Training School. He was a former employee of
Georgia-Pacific and City of Myrtle Beach.
Survivors include, his wife of Bucksport; sixteen children, Richard Sherman (Mary), Amos Sherman, Johnny Sherman (Gloria), Wilfford Sherman, all of Charlotte, N.C., Allen Joe Sherman, Nancy Rogers (Howard), Frances Mayfield (James), Sarah Mae Moore, (Joseph), Annie Richardson, Jerome Sherman (Sandra), Oneil Sherman (Cynthia), Kenny Lee Sherman, Margie Vermell Green (Terence), Christa Ann Sherman, Maple Gowans (Antonio) and Karen Sherman, all of Bucksport; six grandchildren raised as his own, Ricky Lee Bellamy, Leroy Bellamy, Angel Lisa Sherman, LaShonda Sherman, Kelvin Huggins and Danielle Sherman; 86 grandchildren; 98 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Deacon Buck Sherman of Bucksport, and James Calvin Sherman of Baltimore; two sisters, Marie Weaver, and Lila Dozier of Bucksport; seven sisters-in-law, Ruthie Moore, Ellen Hunt, Charlotte Sherman, Lillie Hunt, Rosa Bell Sherman, Zelline Tucker, all of Bucksport, Roberta Sherman of Bucksport; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Hunt and Lee Moore.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday from the Mt. Mariah Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at McKiever Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.

MYRTLE BEACH -- Sarah B. Barbieri, 75, died Wednesday, Mar. 23, 2005 in Myrtle Beach.
Born Mar. 10, 1930 in Conway, S.C., she was a daughter of late David F. and Susan C. Graham Sawyer. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael J. Barbieri in 1982.
Sarah came to Myrtle Beach in 1996 from Columbia. She worked her way through college and attained her PhD in Education. She enjoyed working with children, snow skiing, was a member of the U. S. Amateur Ballroom Dancing Association and traveled Europe extensively. She was a devoted mother and loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Susan Barbieri-Chambers and husband Dr. Thomas Chambers, of Myrtle Beach, Theresa Barbieri-Byrne and husband James Byrne, of Valley Stream,
N.Y.; two brothers, David F. Sawyer Jr. and Pete Sawyer, both of Conway; four sisters, Gerry Winn of Tampa, Fla., Adele Redmond of Myrtle Beach, Lou Sawyer of Conway, Faye Paz of W. Palm Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, John and Caroline Chambers, and James, Kara, and Tyler Byrne.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Mar. 24, at Florence National Cemetery, Florence.
