Sadie Hunt
CONWAY -- Sadie Hunt, 94, wife of the late Deacon Morris Hunt, Jr., died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at the Conway Nursing Home.
Sadie Hunt, fondly known as "Mother Hunt" was born Sept. 9, 1909 in Bucksport, S.C., daughter to the late Yanakey and George Johnson.
Survivors include three daughters, Louise Bellamy, Lizzie Sherman of Bucksport, S.C., and Mary Finch of Hampton, Va.; seven sons, Dock Hunt, James Hunt, Clifton Hunt, Robert Hunt of Bucksport, S.C., Andrew Williams, Murrells Inlet, S.C., Marvin Hunt, Columbus, Ga., and Burnett Hunt, Brooklyn,
N.Y.; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Johnson, Wilmington, N.C.; thirty-four grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday from the Victoria Chapel Holiness Church with burial to follow in Bucksport Cemetery. Friends may call at McKiever Funeral Home, Inc. of Conway, Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

LORIS -- Mr. Calvin Johnson, 69, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004 at Loris Community Hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Hardwick Funeral Home of Loris, S.C.
John Jay Massaro
MYRTLE BEACH -- John Jay Massaro, age 32, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004 in Myrtle Beach.
Mr. Massaro was the son of John G. Massaro of Myrtle Beach and Sheila Massaro of Long Island, N. Y.
Survivors including his parents are two daughters, Samantha Massaro and Savanna Massaro, and one brother, Matthew Massaro.

Helen Regina Blazejowski
CALABASH, N.C. -- Helen Regina Blazejowski, 64, of Wampee Street, SW, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004 in Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Michael and Marie Balient Hamara. She was a member of the Calabash Elk's Lodge Auxiliary, Duffer's Golf League, Myrtle Beach Corvette Club, Tri-Beach Cruisers Auto Club and a former member of the Sunset Beach Turtle Patrol. Prior to moving to Calabash, N.C., she was active in the PTA in Linden, N.J., having been president of both the School #2 and the Solhl Junior High School Associations.
Surviving are her husband, Michael S. Blazejowski, Sr., of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael S. and Janet Blazejowski, Jr., Linden, N.J.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Gerald Malecki, Annandale, N.J. and Denise and Donald LeBlanc, Linden, N.J. and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated, Monday, Aug. 30, 2004 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, N. Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Vera Gause Boyd
LORIS -- Mrs. Vera Gause Boyd, age 88, died Friday evening, Aug. 27, 2004 at Loris Extended Care Facility after an illness.
Born in Loris, S.C., Mrs. Boyd was the daughter of the late William Davis Gause and Eva Floyd Gause. Mrs. Boyd was the widow of Mr. William Taft Boyd. Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker and member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Mr. Eddie Boyd and his wife, Julie of Loris; one daughter, Miss Lorine Boyd of Loris; one brother, Mr. Furman Gause; and two sisters, Mrs. Velma Cox and Mrs. Alice Elliott, all of Loris; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 30, 2004 at 11 a.m. from the Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in the Twin Cities Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Bill Thompson will officiate services. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Sunday evening, Aug. 29 at Hardwick Funeral Home.

Bert H. Chestnut
MYRTLE BEACH -- Bert H. Chestnut, 77, of Dogwood Lane, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004 in Myrtle Beach.
He was born April 24, 1927 in Conway, and was a son of the late Alva and Cynthia Todd Chestnut.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star among others. He retired from the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base after 32 years. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Phoebe Walters Chestnut; two sons, Alan and his wife Tina, Roger and his wife Shonda; a sister, Daisy Kidwell and two grandsons, Aaron and Clay.
A private service will be held at the request of the family. Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 3000 N. Kinds Highway, Myrtle Beach, S.C. 29577.

Charles H. Letorneau
CONWAY -- Charles H. Letorneau, 73, of Conway, S.C., died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004 in Charleston, S.C. He was born July 3, 1931 in Cranston, R.I., a son of the late Charles J. and Cecile Hebert Letorneau. A brother, Conrad, preceded him in death. Charles was an Industrial Engineer with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft from 1962-1987. He is a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served in the Korean Conflict where he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, National Defense Service medal, Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Starts, and United Nations Service Medal. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, B.P.O.E., V.F.W., and American Legion.
He is survived by his loving wife, Palmyre; a son, Charles Letorneau of Lexington, S.C.; a daughter, Janet Levett of West Haven, Conn.; a brother, Donald Letorneau of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. The Palmetto Cremation Society, Charleston, S.C are serving the Latorneau family.
